While our day was absolutely beautiful and the day of execution was outstanding - the preparation part was very lacking. I was booked with the venue for over a year before our wedding, chose the meal layout and drinks 9 months before-hand and the months leading up to the wedding was little to no communication. We had to reach out 6 different times for our 90 day quote to pay our first installment. We did not hire a planner because planning services were apart of the package- but planning they did very little. We were served the hors d’oeuvres we tasted because no one knew which ones we selected and did not ask beforehand. We were not given side options until 5 days before the wedding then was not made aware my selection was unavailable until my plate hit my table at the reception. Our decor was broken down and put away before our exit was even over. It’s been a month and we have not heard back about the card that I wrote my husband that was lost in the grooms room… never to be seen again (very disappointed). We called daily for the first week and then spoke to the manager from the night of our wedding who said they would be in touch… no call, no email, nothing from anyone besides a bill. We are now without the card I wrote my husband, the cuff links I gave him as a present (they were on our sweetheart table), and our cake topper. If you book with them expect a wonderful day- but be prepared and assign a cleanup crew so you don’t loose your special things like we did… “everything will be in the closet” is not true. Caitlin McNitt(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-06-2021 We had the best wedding at Two Rivers Country Club! Jamie and her team was so professional and helpful throughout the process. We were not stressed or anxious on our wedding day due to how organized and detail oriented the staff was. The venue is breathtaking and the food was amazing, we continue to get glowing comments about it! I would do everything the exact same (and I wish I could)!!! Reviewed on 16-06-2021
Leia Bispham(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-04-2021 As others have noted, Two Rivers is a stunning venue for your wedding. My husband and I eloped there last week. Even though it was just the two of us (no guests) we still wanted our day to be beautiful. The sunset over the river in the background is so amazing in our pictures and video. The grounds are beautifully manicured and drain well. Even though it rained heavily a few hours before our ceremony, the grass was not muddy or slippery at all when we took our photos. But the best part about Two Rivers is the event coordinator Jamie. This elopement is the second wedding we've planned (the first one never happened due to Covid). After the horror of our first wedding coordinator at a different venue, Jamie was a breath of fresh air, a Godsend, an angel, (insert several other gushing phrases here). Even though our wedding was just a tiny elopement, she treated us as though we were important. She was super communicative and always on top of every single line item.On the day of, Jamie corseted my dress, tied my hair ribbon, boosted my confidence by telling me my makeup (which I did myself) looked beautiful, managed the vendors, moved the setup around in response to high winds, oversaw our dinner, etc. She literally did EVERYTHING. We were amazed just watching her be here, there, and everywhere, making sure everything was just right. She deserves every accolade. We can unreservedly recommend Two Rivers and Jamie for your big day. Reviewed on 26-04-2021
Emily-Anne Rigal(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-10-2020 Two Rivers Country Club was a dream wedding venue! We had our 10/17/2020 ceremony at the gazebo, cocktail hour on the beautiful patio, and the reception inside the Cypress Room. As a result of COVID, we only had 13 guests but even with such a small group, the wedding still felt grand due to this prominent and gorgeous venue. I loved how my getting ready shots came out in the bridal lounge! And of course, we took full advantage of the sunset – TRCC is the only venue I know of in our area where you can be pretty much guaranteed a priceless sunset. The staff is also amazing! Jamie, the event coordinator, was absolutely fantastic to work with. We communicated regularly throughout the planning process. She is truly the BEST at what she does and she made our day exactly what we wanted with the perfect timeline. I can’t thank her and TRCC enough! Reviewed on 07-11-2020
Kirstyn St Pierre(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-10-2019 The venue is gorgeous without even considering added wedding flourishes, but what made the experience so great was the special events coordinator, Laura. She was extremely helpful and made everything perfect for our day. The flexibility for making our wedding exactly what we desired was above and beyond our expectations. Reviewed on 03-11-2019
Lindsey Nichol(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-05-2018 BEST place to get married (maybe slightly biased)! Not only is there a spectacular view for a gorgeous outdoor ceremony, the River Room is so light and bright and features the same beautiful views of the James River so you can see it from the party all night long! Lisa and Kayla were simply amazing and so accommodating throughout the whole planning process! Bill and the food/beverage staff were excellent as well! Everyone raved about the food; we even hosted our rehearsal dinner there too! I can not stress enough how amazing this team was! Everyone at Two Rivers pitched in to move our ceremony back outside the day of the wedding, due to an unexpected window of beautiful weather, so we were able to enjoy the gorgeous gazebo for our ceremony. It was a dream come true, a perfect day, and a smooth planning process along the way! Reviewed on 28-09-2018

Blakely Mulder(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-06-2017 Two Rivers' wedding venue a beautiful ballroom and lawn overlooking the James River. We considered them strongly for our wedding, but ultimately decided against them for two reasons. First, though all venues in Williamsburg have a surprisingly high price tag, Two River's is probably the highest mark up based on the services provided. They have a $13,000 food and drink minimum for the most bland menu I've ever seen, and you will almost certainly go above this minimum based on their food prices. They also have a separate $1,700 site rental fee, and you have to pay extra for anything so simple as colored linens or gold chairs, which don't cost them any extra since they already own them. Second, if I'm going to pay someone $14,700+, I expect them to respond promptly and be present for meetings. In our email communications, Amanda would typically take a week or more to respond, citing a family tragedy, prepping for weddings , and emails getting lost in her inbox. We arranged a site visit at a time when Amanda said she would be available, and then without telling us, Amanda didn't show up for our visit and instead sent one of her employees who was unable to answer any of our questions. That for us was the decision point: if you can't care enough about potential clients to show up for a scheduled meeting with them, then it's hard to imagine you'll care enough work with us after you already have our money. Despite the beauty of the location, we took our money elsewhere and have been happy for it. Reviewed on 24-08-2016

The food at Two Rivers is amazing! The wedding coordinator for the venue is very nice and was such a pleasure to work with. We did not have to worry about anything the day of, she took care of every little detail. We highly recommend using Two Rivers for both your wedding and reception location. It is a beautiful venue. There are so many great things about Two Rivers: the venue itself if beautiful (amazing sunsets over the water), the food, the service, the flexibility, the friendliness, the staff. Haley (the wedding coordinator) was so pleasant to work with, cool as a cucumber, and really worked hard to make sure all my little special demands were met. And she did so with a smile. Most of my guests traveled from out of the country and were really impressed with everything from the second they arrived to our sparkler send off in the evening. Haley worked really well with all the vendors including my wedding planner. Who said planning a wedding was hard? With team Two Rivers it was FUN! Reviewed on 06-09-2014

Two Rivers provided an absolutely lovely setting for my daughter's wedding. The space was light and bright, and it was wonderful to have the entire clubhouse essentially to ourselves. The layout works perfectly for a wedding: there is a side room in which the bride and groom and bridal party can collect themselves and have a quick bite to eat prior to being announced; the restrooms are spacious (locker room and powder room areas attached); the wrap-around patio leading into a pre-function room and the green space in the back allows for guests to mingle outside of the dining room prior to the reception. A very common gorgeous sunset over the water makes for classic photography opportunities. All in all, the location and layout is great! \r\rAs for the wonderful people who made the reception a dream come true... Jennifer, the on-site coordinator, was knowledgeable, accommodating, professional, and organized. You could tell that it was important to her to get all the details right, and it paid off! The service staff members excellent from what we could tell, and we didn't hear of any mishaps (e.g. wrong dishes, lack of attentiveness, etc.). My daughter was so pleased with the way things turned out that she and her new husband stopped to thank the staff profusely on their way out. As a side note, clients can bring in their own baker, photographer, additional coordinator, etc. rather than use contracted vendors - this is noteworthy given that other reception sites in the area are not so flexible. It was nice to be able to customize the wedding to what we wanted rather than feel obligated or even be required to use certain vendors.\r\rGuests have repeatedly told us what a wonderful time they had. The grandmother of the groom still talks about how it was the most beautiful wedding and reception she's ever been to, and it's 4 months later. All in all, we would have changed nothing about the reception, and the way Two Rivers handled their responsibilities. We felt they went above and beyond the call of duty and could not have been more pleased! Reviewed on 24-10-2011
Tammy Beck(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-05-2011 Two Rivers Country Club was great! The location on the water is fantastic! The food was excellent. We had Caesar Salad, and then buffet of salmon, chicken, and beef tenderloin. Plus, some pasta with creamy tomato sauce and a mashed potato bar. For appetizers, we had the fruit and cheese display, sliders, mini pizzas, and quiches. Bill and Jennifer ran a perfect reception - everything was according to the time-line we created. We have received lots of positive feedback and compliments on the venue. It was a perfect and amazing day Reviewed on 10-08-2011
