Located on Tybee Island, GA, The Tybee Island Wedding Chapel & Grand Ballroom is an all-inclusive venue for celebrating life's milestones. This elegant space offers a variety of settings where you can celebrate your love, whether you've envisioned an indoor or outdoor celebration. It also offers a romantic setting for destination weddings and elopements, as well as vow renewals. Before becoming a charming venue for nuptial celebrations, The Tybee Island Wedding Chapel & Grand Ballroom served as a movie set. A custom-built setting, it combines classic charm with all of the modern amenities you could need. Tybee Island sits in the Atlantic Ocean and is just three miles long, so you can escape from your everyday life while you celebrate here. A delightful seaside town, it's just a short 15-minute drive from downtown Savannah. . The Tybee Island Wedding Chapel & Grand Ballroom offers more than 7,000 square feet of event space for couples to transform. The chapel is available for ceremonies and features dark wooden accents, as well as a high ceiling and ornate chandeliers. From here, the newlyweds can make their way to the balcony for an outdoor cocktail hour. The cocktail lounge is also available for indoor receptions. Adjacent to the lounge, you will find the grand ballroom. Here, you can marble at the beautiful tidewater creek and gardens while you make lifelong memories. They also gain access to private quarters, which can be used as dressing rooms for the to-be-weds and their party. Parking is available on-site for up to 60 vehicles. A selection of event items is available for you to use, including black Chiavari chairs, tables, and audiovisual equipment.

Talk about a perfect venue. This place screams gorgeous. Alexis was quick to assist in anything we needed. My sister was able to pull off the wedding of her dreams and it all started with the venue. I'm serious when I say you cannot go wrong with picking this place!

Talk about the wedding venue of my dreams!!!! I can’t recommend this venue enough! From the beautiful photo spots to the fantastic staircase everything is breathtaking! Thank you Alexis and team for making my wedding one none of my guests will ever forget!

Tybee Wedding Chapel was a dream come true for my daughter, Jillian and her new husband Matt. Alexis went above and beyond with service. Every time we had a question, Alexis responded swiftly. The chapel is magnificent, and the grand ballroom was perfect. We had 107 people. The dance floor was the perfect size, the tables were excellent and the chairs sturdy and comfortable. We had plenty of time to get ready in the bridal suite which was the perfect size. We had 2 bathrooms to use, and the dressing area was a nice size. The groom and groomsman had a nice size room as well with a bathroom. The chapel was the highlight of the day. From the moment the double doors swung open, and my daughter walked through them to be greeted by her father and walk down the aisle to the kiss after they were pronounced Mr. and Mrs., the chapel was beautiful. Every guest complimented us on the venue. They adored it. The gasps I heard when Jillian entered will be in my mind forever. We did not allow use of cellphones, because we wanted to see everyone's face when walking down the aisle. It was a great decision, although some friends and family did use their phones, so we have a few pictures. We are waiting for the photographer's pictures. We can't wait. Jillian and Matt even went to the beach for sunset photos. The cocktail hour/bar area was again the perfect size. We used 3 bartenders and were happy about that decision, although 2 would have been sufficient. We also added a late light snack which was served in this room. It went over very well. The outside of the venue was perfect too. Many guests wandered out for the bathrooms, to sit on the swing, chat and catch up. It was lovely and again our guests complimented this area as well. We opted for sparklers and a convertible car with driver for their farewell, and I am so happy we did. The couple had their last dance alone in the ballroom and we were all outside with the sparklers for their exit. It was such a beautiful moment. Again, I can't wait to see the photos of that. I cannot say enough good things about Tybee Wedding Chapel. It is simply a fairytale wedding venue and I highly recommend it. Our guests all rented cottages for the weekend and they loved getting away to Tybee. They enjoyed the island so much. I had been worried about it, because most weddings have a room block at hotels, but our guests loved it and really made the most of their time there. We did recommend the DeSoto Hotel to guests that did not opt for a cottage and my guests liked it. So, I would recommend this hotel if you really wanted to block rooms. It has access to the beach and is close to all the action of Tybee. Thank you, Alexis and the Tybee Wedding Chapel Team.

The Tybee Island Wedding Chapel was our perfect venue! We looked a few and none of them combined the elements that we wanted like Tybee. Alexis was wonderful to work with, from inquiring about the space and requesting a tour to meeting her again on our Wedding Day to make sure everything is in place. We loved that the areas for the ceremony and reception are in the same place with beautiful areas outside for photos and cocktail hours. A lot of other vendors in the area have familiarity with the space so that was a plus too. Bridal and Groom Suites were conveniently located next to bathrooms and provided enough space for everything we needed. The stairway provides a dreamlike entrance into the reception. (Our bridal party entered from the side.) You can change the lights in the reception area. The cocktail space worked perfectly for cocktail hour and during our reception. (We had our photo booth in there too.) We wouldn't change a thing about the venue. It was perfect!

It was so convenient to have the ceremony and reception at the same location, and the different venues were so seperate it felt like two different events. Awesome venue!

The venue it self was amazing beautiful and worth the money but the service/ help I got from the lady supposedly in charge of my wedding was less than helpful. No help when goin through with vendors about best look or anything like that. The day of no help with chapel speaker system so were unable to use speakers and microphones , layout was not correct and no communication about making sure it was right before the day of. For the amount of money paid it was like I only paid for the space and nothing else.

Our wedding was on July 4th, 2021. We had Alexis Gillis help with everything about the Chapel. From the moment I saw the venue in May 2020, I fell in love with it. Everything is clean and well taken of. Their list of vendors was so useful for us since we leave 4.5 hours away from the venue. Alexis was on us through the entire process of organizing everything. She was always prompt in answering our emails. The venue is breathtaking and the staff is perfect!

Everything is clean and well taken of. Their list of vendors was so useful for us since we leave 4.5 hours away from the venue. Alexis was on us through the entire process of organizing everything. She was always prompt in answering our emails. The venue is breathtaking and the staff is perfect!

This place has a wonderful fairytale-simple elegance feel to it!!! From the moment we saw the Chapel I knew I wanted this to be our venue site. I hoped my fiancé agreed!! Thank Goodness he loved it just as much as I did!!! Working with Alexis was so easy. The venue has a wonderful back drop for pictures and we heard all night how the guest \"loved\" that we had the Ceremony and Reception in the same spot!!! I can't wait to see all of our photos!!! Definitely recommend this venue!!!! So much love!!!

This venue was perfect for mine and my husbands vision of our wedding day! We loved the dark beams in the chapel and how everything was attached so there was no secondary location people had to travel to. The only downside we found was that the bar was in a separate room then the reception so people were all spaced out and would get caught up talking by the bar instead of the reception area but this is no fault of the venue just an issue we found. Great for cocktail hour! Alexis was so nice and awesome meeting all of our needs/questions. We would definitely choose this place again if we had the chance!

This venue really is as wonderful as all the reviews say. It's beautiful and the staff is wonderful. After two reschedules due to covid, the staff were so kind and encouraging to our family. They were genuinely cheering us on to make sure our daughter's wedding was everything she wanted.

We decided to have a destination in Savannah and my (now) husband was set on a venue within city limits. I found Tybee and he was reluctant but agreed to go tour it. As soon as we walked in, we both knew it was our venue, no hesitation! We loved the separation between the chapel and the ballroom, especially with the bar for cocktail hour. This gave our wedding a nice flow, without anyone getting \"bored\" of sitting in the same area for 6 hours. Other reviews have said it, but there was nothing really needed in the chapel to make it more special, it was breathtaking in its own right. The ballroom had the option of round or rectangular tables, which is actually something weird I was really passionate about wanting. The real small but amazing detail that I loved were the chairs. They are so much nicer than the plasticky chairs you get at most venues--there was no need for a chair cover! We worked with Melissa and she was so kind and helpful. Obviously we got married during COVID so there were many things up and down in the air and she was always so patient with any frantic questions or last minute changes. Our guest list started off 100+ but we ended up with 50 guests and the venue felt perfectly sized--not too empty, which I was worried about. There are a million things I am sure I am forgetting to highlight, but this was really the perfect venue and I could not be happier we chose it!!

This venue is beautiful! We went to quite a few venues and when we saw this one there was no question that this was the one! It is a place that needs very little to make the day beautiful and classic! I loved all the space and that it was all indoors. It is gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS! I couldn’t imagine a better venue!

It is a place that needs very little to make the day beautiful and classic! I loved all the space and that it was all indoors. It is gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS! I couldn’t imagine a better venue!

Beautiful! Still in love with the Chapel and the Grand Ballroom! Throughout the entire planning process, the entire staff was great! The day of the wedding, there was some disconnect. There was supposed to be a member of the chapel staff there for the actual event, and there was not. Unfortunately, we had some thunderstorms and we lost power at the chapel for a brief moment just before the ceremony began. Luckily, it came back on quickly, but it did blow a fuse to their projector screen. My planner had some difficulties getting in touch with the staff to get the problem resolved, and when they did send someone out, they were unable to fix it. This was not a major deal in the grand scheme of things, but I was disappointed that I was unable to play a slideshow I had created for my late father during my father-daughter dance. I understand the weather cannot be helped, but it would have been helpful if staff was present, or able to be reached easier, and my planner didn’t have to spend time trying to reach them. Otherwise, the venue itself is stunning and we still love the beauty it holds!

Krystal understood we were a military couple trying to plan a wedding in GA all the way from CA and did everything to meet our needs. Halfway through our planning process with the chapel we then met Summer, who continued to help us out and answer literally every single question we had or could think of. As a bride, you worry that you are super annoying with your thousands of questions but Summer patiently helped us. She also let me call last minute during my bridal photoshoot and let me get my pictures done at the chapel (because it was pouring down rain & my outside pictures were not going to happen). I had sooooo many people the day of our wedding say “this is seriously the prettiest wedding I’ve ever been to”. It was a lot of money for us to fork out but we don’t regret getting married there! It’s so worth it! The only advice I’d have is to ask beforehand how to work the lights for the reception/dance floor because the chapel workers leave and the only person that is there that late is security and they didn’t know how to help us with the lights.

From the very first email to the last communication, the staff was prompt, informed, professional, and pleasant. We had absolutely no issues and could not have asked for a better venue experience. The venue is stunning, and it is very convenient to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception areas all in one place. It is also great to have outdoor areas where guests can go to enjoy the nice weather. I worked mainly with Krystal, and she thoroughly answered every question I had leading up to the wedding day. She also made sure that every detail was taken care of to ensure that I could enjoy my day without any worries. I am not good at visualizing things; it's much easier for me to see things in person before I can make a decision. Krystal was very understanding of this and willingly met us at the chapel a few times to help me finalize my plans. She was also comforting and calm when the details started to become overwhelming. The only thing I would let other brides know is how the rehearsal can not be at the traditional time if a wedding is booked the day before yours. The rehearsal will have to be in the morning the day before. This did not pose any problems for me, but it might need to be taken into account if anyone in the bridal party will be traveling in. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend this venue to other brides.

We did not ask for this, but she saw that Kylee had posted a picture of Edward in uniform at a friends wedding.Second, Summer gave us additional time based off of our needs for the ceremony and reception. We had a small wedding party and did not need a rehearsal, but we did need additional time for one of our separate vendors. Summer gave us a free hour to replace the free hour we would have used for a rehearsal.Third, we did not have the luxury of seeing the venue before booking but it was everything that we imagined. Not even sure where to begin my review about this venue and their incredible staff (especially Krystal). To say words like amazing, professional, organized, accommodating, etc... doesn't even come CLOSE to describing our experience with them. From the very beginning planning stages until well after my wedding (yes, I keep in touch with them - they are like family now), Tybee Island Wedding Chapel & Grand Ballroom has been nothing short of AMAZING! Every email I sent (and I sent plenty of them) was responded to in record time (including nights and weekends)... I almost couldn't keep up with the responses! :) Every phone call and question was answered, and no detail was left untouched because of them! Including the reminders they sent me the weeks leading up to my wedding. The venue itself is just as breathtaking in person as it is in the photos. The Chapel & Grand Ballroom was the first and only venue visit we ever did - we just knew this was the place (and these were the people) for us. As soon as we signed our contract, the venue provided a list of preferred vendors who treated us like royalty when we said we were getting married at Tybee Wedding Chapel. Their reputation in Tybee Island/Savannah is great - they are highly respected. They also give recommendations and discounts for local hotels and homes in which you can rent during your stay! If you're looking for a beautiful, accommodating venue with professional, kind, helpful staff... and everything in one place (ceremony, reception, bridal suite, grooms quarter, etc.) - this is the venue for you! Every time I look at our wedding photos, or see a social media post from the Chapel, I wish my husband and I could re-live our wedding at the wedding chapel every year! It was the best day and night of our lives! We could never thank the Chapel enough for everything they did for us! PS - There are a lot more personal touches I could tell you about, BUT I don't want to give away ALL of the Wedding Chapel's secrets. Thank you, Tybee Island Wedding Chapel for treating us like family!! We can't wait to stop by and say hi next time we are in town! :)

Including the reminders they sent me the weeks leading up to my wedding. The venue itself is just as breathtaking in person as it is in the photos. The Chapel & Grand Ballroom was the first and only venue visit we ever did - we just knew this was the place (and these were the people) for us. As soon as we signed our contract, the venue provided a list of preferred vendors who treated us like royalty when we said we were getting married at Tybee Wedding Chapel. Their reputation in Tybee Island/Savannah is great - they are highly respected. They also give recommendations and discounts for local hotels and homes in which you can rent during your stay! If you're looking for a beautiful, accommodating venue with professional, kind, helpful staff... and everything in one place (ceremony, reception, bridal suite, grooms quarter, etc.) - this is the venue for you! Every time I look at our wedding photos, or see a social media post from the Chapel, I wish my husband and I could re-live our wedding at the wedding chapel every year! It was the best day and night of our lives! We could never thank the Chapel enough for everything they did for us! PS - There are a lot more personal touches I could tell you about, BUT I don't want to give away ALL of the Wedding Chapel's secrets. The venue is beautiful, romantic, and all-inclusive (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception). The chapel is so unique and beautiful, we didn't need to add a single decoration. Ray, Carla, and Summer were so easy to work with from the moment we contacted them for a tour. They were responsive, friendly, and did everything they could to make our wedding day stress free. Our guests continue to tell us that our wedding is one of the best they have ever been to. As a bonus, the venue is close enough to North Beach that you can take photos there during the cocktail hour and still get back in time for the reception! The venue is perfect and I 110% recommend Tybee Chapel.

The venue is beautiful, romantic, and all-inclusive (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception). The chapel is so unique and beautiful, we didn't need to add a single decoration. Ray, Carla, and Summer were so easy to work with from the moment we contacted them for a tour. They were responsive, friendly, and did everything they could to make our wedding day stress free. Our guests continue to tell us that our wedding is one of the best they have ever been to. As a bonus, the venue is close enough to North Beach that you can take photos there during the cocktail hour and still get back in time for the reception! The venue is perfect and I 110% recommend Tybee Chapel.

My daughter had her heart set on getting married on Tybee Island and thanks to this facility, she was able to have the wedding of her dreams!! From the moment of our first tour of the venue to the day of the wedding, the staff (namely Krystal) went out of her way to help us every step of the way! It was awesome to hear our guests at the wedding talk about how wonderful the venue was....everyone really liked that the wedding and reception were at the same place! We had 175 guests with a seated dinner and still had plenty of room for a large dance floor!!Again, I cannot thank the staff enough for all the help along the way...they were amazing!!

My husband and I are so excited to have finally joined the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel family after having been married at the venue earlier this month. However, Krystal and the other staff at the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel and Ocean Front Cottage Rentals have made sure we have felt like family all along. Our families utilized Ocean Front Cottage Rentals to rent out several homes on the same street in the neighborhood across from the chapel. The customer service was exceptional, when we encountered an issue with the air conditioning in one of the properties, the staff went above and beyond after hours to provide a multitude of options to ensure we were 100% comfortable and content during our stay. It was a blast being so close to the venue and one another, and the rental company offers some really great deals if you are also utilizing the venue.Finally, I could never put into words how thankful I am to have had such a well organized and knowledgeable wedding point of contact at the Tybee Island Chapel. After signing our contract, Krystal provided us with a recommended vendor list, consisting of vendors that had worked at the chapel before and had done a quality job. This list was so helpful and we used it as a great jump off point to find our amazing Wedding Planner at Design Studio South. We would have never known where to start without it. If you are in the market for a venue that will ensure a stress free and seamless wedding that is all encompassing of a beautiful ceremony space and reception hall conveniently located on the same grounds- Tybee Island Wedding Chapel is the perfect choice.

Raymond Anaya was the manager we communicated with and he was very professional, responsive, and friendly through the whole process. We are long time locals in Savannah, and I believe this is the best venue we could have booked for our party of 75 in the area. Our out of town guests got to visit and stay at the beach also, which is a plus. The price was VERY reasonable for all that it included and compared to other pricing in the area.

This was the perfect venue for the wedding all in one location. We had the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception here, and there was on site parking for every guest. The venue itself is very beautiful and does not require much extra decoration. I LOVE this venue! The chapel is so gorgeous that you need very little decorations. The ballroom is equally as beautiful. Wow! I can NOT say enough AMAZING things about this absolutely breath taking chapel and ballroom! From the first time I laid eyes on Tybee Island Wedding Chapel- I knew it was where we were going to get married. \rA little back story to our finding of the chapel:\rSo, I have always wanted to elope. Never wanted the big wedding and all the planning that goes into it. But, one day I was online and came across the little white chapel. I had NO idea where it was or any information about it- it was just a picture. So, I told my boyfriend at the time that if I ever got married- that is where it was going to happen. When we decided to get married in Georgia, we couldn't find anything we loved in our hometown. We decided to give Savannah a try and ended up finding the Tybee Island Chapel. We visited and immediately fell in LOVE with the venue, even though the the ballroom was just wood beams and concrete floors. My husband and I are so happy with the venue we chose for our wedding. It was absolutely beautiful and I'm sure our guests were very impressed. There is plenty of room and the attention to detail is amazing. Ray is also so wonderful to work with! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue.

He responded to emails within minutes, even on days where I know he wasn't \"working\" - but I guess in this job it's 7 days a week no matter what when it comes to crazy brides. Having the ceremony, reception and cocktail hour in one location made set up, clean up and everything in between flow perfectly. It's a venue that gives you that small and romantic feel - gives me goosebumps when I think about it. Loved having the Bride/Groom Suites to prepare in - made the experience so much more magical than getting ready in a hotel room or a bedroom. If I were to start the wedding planning process all over again - this is one of the many many things I would not change. Thank you Ray for being at our beck and call the day of and days leading up to - it was amazing!

I was married in this chapel on March 23, 2013. I originally wanted to look at the venue as an alternative if we could not have our wedding outside. Once I saw it, I fell in love. Imagine all the aspects of your dream wedding being in one location. Beach, beautiful chapel, gorgeous reception area...everything. The best part was it was all inclusive. We didn't have to pay extra for chairs, tables, the staff to change everything over, even the integrated sound system was included in the price. Thanks to Tybee Island Wedding Chapel, Carla and all of the staff. Janie and Chris had their wedding their on Saturday, April 19th and it was fabulous. \r\rThe Chapel is a beautiful venue and my daughter fell in love with it the first time she saw it two years ago. The entire location is so beautiful that very little decorations are needed. We both knew that was where we were going to have the wedding from that point forward, even though we still went to other venues. \r\rPrior to the wedding date the Chapel added the Grand Ballroom and that made it even more extraordinary. With wonderful sound system, colorful up-lighting on the ceiling and beautiful touches everywhere, we couldn't have had a better place for the reception. \r\rIt was large enough to accommodate all of our guests with table seating and still had space for a few high top tables to stand around. Yet it still felt very intimate when you were inside.\r\rCarla and Ray were wonderful to work with for the entire time as we were making all the plans, and we had two years to plan. Carla set the floor plan so many times I think they must have every configuration possible on file now. LOL! Carla was there during the rehearsal and all the way through to the end of the wedding night when she finally said goodbye. She was dedicated and thorough on everything she did and was ready to do whatever she could to make the day special for the bride and groom. \r\rWe were thrilled with the Chapel and everything they had to offer for that very special day. I can't say enough good things about it.\r\rThe Chapel made us feel so much at home that I miss going there now, even months after the wedding. This is definitely a place where you will have an experience to remember for a lifetime!

Finding Tybee Island Wedding Chapel was a miracle for me! Being new to the savannah area, I was totally lost on what were good venues and I also had my heart set on always getting married in Texas. When I found the pictures of the chapel with the wood floor and old pews, I was blown away and in awe! I couldn't wait to see it in person and booked it not long after! It was the only venue we even looked at and I don't regret a thing! The team there was amazing to work with and always available to you! The morning of the wedding they were there early mopping the ballroom and washing windows making sure everything was perfect..I knew we had made the right choice! In the end the chapel and ballroom were gorgeous and pictures have been amazing so far and we've heard only good things from our wedding guests. Parking was no problem and I loved that there was plenty of space for our wedding parties to get ready in the bridal and groom rooms..not to mention they made for beautiful pictures! This chapel holds a special place in my heart and I love that every time I go to the beach I get to pass this place and remember our beautiful wedding! I am so grateful to the team there, especially Ray!!

We can't begin to express how pleased and happy we were with the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel and their staff, especially Ray. He was amazing from the first time we visited the chapel up until the day of our wedding. As a local bride, I communicated with Ray frequently, and we visited the chapel numerous times. He was always more than happy to meet with us, and he responded to my emails immediately. We could not have been more pleased with our decision to get married at the chapel. Ray and the whole team at the chapel made the planning process a pleasant experience, and while there may have been other areas that we stressed about, the venue was never once a source of stress. The chapel is absolutely beautiful, and we were ecstatic about the new ballroom. We've been told by many guests that it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. When asked how the wedding was, I respond with one word: perfect! This was in large part thanks to Ray and his team. They did so many things behind the scenes that I had no knowledge of until after the wedding. For instance, one of the groomsmen was missing his tie for the wedding. Unfortunately, he discovered this immediately before arriving at the chapel for pictures. I was told when Ray found out about the dilemma, he went to his car, found a black tie and gave it to our groomsmen. This may seem like a minor detail in the greater scheme of a wedding, but it sums up our experience with the venue and demonstrates exactly what brides can expect from them. If you're contemplating having your wedding at the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel, do it! Our guests thoroughly enjoyed spending the weekend on Tybee Island, and the chapel is the perfect venue! We can't begin to thank them enough for making our wedding everything we had dreamed of...and more!
