I would 100% recommend working with Laura Russell at UNC Marriott! We planned our wedding on a short timeline (3 months) and were able to pull it off and have the best day thanks to Laura and her team! They were extremely professional and accommodating. Also helped us stay on track of everything along the way, which was amazing! The food and bar were great, and our guests had so much fun! Everything turned out beautiful, and I didn’t feel like I had to worry about anything not being done. I felt comfortable trusting Laura and she came through every step of the way! She worked seamlessly with our vendors before the wedding and on the day of. The event staff were on top of everything, working together like a well-oiled machine. The Bridal Suite was gorgeous, I’m sure it was bigger than my first apartment! There were plenty of places to take nice pictures at, and our guests loved cocktail hour and the open bar. The added touch of putting our pictures up on a slideshow was really cool too!

My wife and I decided with little notice to get married this year and we reached out to the Marriott and we connected with Laura. Laura was so accommodating, extremely helpful for our wants and needs, our blind spots for things we didn’t think about, and keeping everything on track! She worked with our vendors and got everything aligned for what turned out to be an amazing experience all around!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience working with the UNC Charlotte Marriott Hotel and Conference Center for our wedding ceremony and reception. All of the staff were extremely helpful and professional. Laura was also very knowledgeable.

Great experience planning our wedding with UNC Charlotte Marriott from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful, spacious, and all of the staff were helpful and kind. The outdoor space was great to host our cocktail hour. All of our guests enjoyed being on a light rail stop to take to uptown. Danielle was our contact person and day of planning coordinator from the hotel. She was amazing! Very responsive, answered our questions, organized, and connected us to whoever we needed for room blocks, food tasting, and anything else. She assisted with logistics to set up our decorations and helped more than we could have asked behind the scenes. We were able to upgrade to a suite room that had a great view and space for us to relax or host family/friends. All of the food was amazing by the hotel Chef who was helpful in making dietary accommodations for our guests. Our guests, family, and friends only have good things to say about the hotel, staff, and wedding reception we had. Our friends made a point to tell us how attentive the bartending staff was and how friendly they were. We could not have asked for a better experience all the way around!

The UNC Charlotte Marriott Hotel hosted our wedding ceremony and reception recently, and they were absolutely phenomenal to work with! We booked the venue without seeing it, and with the help of Danielle Massey, our dream wedding came to life. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel has a multipurpose room that we had broken out in to two rooms for our reception and a backup ceremony space. They also have multiple smaller rooms, and an outside patio that is perfect for a ceremony or any event. The process of planning a wedding was very overwhelming for us, but Danielle and her team helped us through every step of the way, and provided direction up to and including on the wedding day. The front desk staff were very welcoming to us and our guests, and the facilities were great. Having the Golden Owl available for dining, and being located so close to the light rail, restaurants, and stores made it significantly easier for out of town guests. Overall, we had an incredible experience, and would without a doubt choose this venue again if we were to re-do our wedding. It was a great experience, and made for a wonderful night for us and our guests!
