Boutique Style Wedding Venue!
Urban Studio is a wedding venue that is located in Portland, OR. This modern establishment is situated in the Pearl District, a transformed hub for social activity in the city. The event space is located inside a historic building that is located on the corner of a main thoroughfare. This creates an environment that is both convenient to get to and beautiful to look at. The venue is accessible from the Portland Streetcar, via a garage door that opens onto NW 10th Avenue. Presenting an open concept floor plan, this Urban Studio is ideal for a wide range of functions. It has the ability to support banquets, ceremonies, and receptions. This now popular neighborhood is the former home of abandoned warehouses and railways. A local gallery owner, Thomas Augustine, professed that galleries within the region were like pearls inside oyster-like industrial walls. In current times, the Pearl District is a desirable destination with many amenities scattered throughout it. In a past life, Urban Studio was first opened in the 1900s, hosting Denby Motor Truck Company. Nowadays, stunning warehouse architecture is still visible throughout the rooms. Some of these features include light-filled windows, character-building ceiling pipes, and expansive, open layouts. There are various rooms that couples have access to within Urban Studio. Upon first entrance, guests will be greeted inside the reception space. The first impression of the venue is made here, and it wows with chandeliers, natural stone, and large windows. Before the main event space, visitors will encounter a bar area that invites them to come and have a cocktail of their choice. Following through, the banquet room will introduce party-goers to pewter-lined walls with silky chocolate and pearl features. Upstairs, a loft offers a birdseye view of the whole space, providing a cozy spot for a breather. This venue is partnered with a local caterer who offers various meal options and menu customizations. Urban Studio was an incredible venue for our wedding reception! We were so pleased with the space and the layout of the floor plan. Pearl catering did an amazing job offering wonderful food that was decorated beautifully. The venue was gorgeous and perfect for our group of about 75-100 people. We had plenty of room for tables, photo area, dancing and bar service. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking to host a wedding or reception in the Portland area.

We were so pleased with our entire experience with Urban Studio. Natalia from Urban Studio and Tiffani from Pearl catering were amazing. The venue was perfectly intimate and set the mood itself without having to add any extra rentals or extravagant florals for our fall wedding. If you’re looking for a downtown Pearl district venue that is modern, and romantic and super chic, also super affordable, this is your place!

We were so pleased with our entire experience with Urban Studio. Natalia from Urban Studio and Tiffani from Pearl catering were amazing. This venue was perfect for our nonprofit's brunch for 75 adults with a buffet in July 2023. We enjoyed this bright space! The arrival space was versatile and welcoming, we appreciated having a ramp and steps to the main space (fewer than 3 steps). The restrooms were single occupancy and wheelchair accessible. The space was cool temperature-wise on what was a warm morning (83F).Natalia and her team were exceptional to work with. We appreciated their collaboration on this event and their responsiveness throughout the entire process!

Urban Studio was the perfect venue for us! We did not have a lot of decor and let the industrial feel speak for itself. Most of our guests were traveling from out of town/state, and I loved that this venue was so close to hotels, restaurants, local hot spots, bars, etc. Natalia was great to work with, she was very responsive and accommodating. Look so further if you are looking to have a small wedding where travel accommodations are very easy and simple for your guests. I’m so glad we chose to get married here, it was perfect.

Urban Studio was the perfect venue for us! We did not have a lot of decor and let the industrial feel speak for itself. We used Urban Studio PDX for our company holiday party. The venue was gorgeous and perfect for our group of about 100 people. We had plenty of room for tables, photobooth, and dancing. If we had had more guests, we could have comfortably accommodated them. The staff were friendly and excellent to work with. They use in house catering and the food was delicious. The bar serves from both sides which really helped prevent too much clumping and crowding waiting for drinks.

We absolutely loved our experience at Urban Studio for our wedding. The space was perfect for our 55 person guest count and was quickly flipped from ceremony to reception while the guests enjoyed appetizers and cocktails. It really is a blank canvas and we were able to customize the space to fit our vision. Natalia and Ashley are very professional and were a pleasure to work with. The food was EXCELLENT - seriously, our guests devoured all of the appetizers and entrees. Several people commented on the food and many said it was the best (by far) they had had at a wedding.

Urban Studio was the best venue I could have imagined for my wedding! Natalia & Her Team was amazing every step of the way. Very communicative and fast to respond, very accommodating and just overall amazing. If i could get married again I'd come back. I'd highly reccomend this venue to anyone looking for a low key, but still elegant venue. And don't get me started on the food. Seriously to die for. Every guest of mine loved the food. Not a single full plate on site. The drinks were also amazing and blended perfectly with love and expertise.

Pros: In the Pearl district, very neat space with lots of decorating potential and built in barCons: Hosting both ceremony and reception while possible is tricky, expect an hour in the lobby while the space is flipped, if you have over 100 guests I think you’d feel so cramped, windows expose you to the street (no privacy)This space is definitely tiny. I recommend seeing it in person before signing any contracts even if they pressure you to sign because someone else wants your date. Or at least walk by to get a glimpse of the space. I tried so many times to make an appointment to see the space but they are really busy. Once we saw the space we realized it wasn’t possible for our 125 person wedding unless we wanted to be super cramped. No longer going with venue.Another thing to note is once the contract is signed Natalia is no longer a point of contact and all questions had to be directed to Ashley with Pearl catering who manages their space. I was beyond frustrated at their lack of teamwork, instead of being able to ask either person I was constantly being redirected back and forth. I also was told flipping the space from ceremony to reception would take only half n hour but it can be upwards of hour. Your guests would wait in the reception area which is really just a lobby and isn’t that large. I cannot fathom how 130 guests could fit and they can if they are sardines. I’m sure this space is really lovely for a wedding but make sure your guest count is small or go else where. Also be prepared to only communicate on email, it was hard to reach anyone by phone. Maybe just walk by the space before you even think of booking to get a feel for it.

I had the privilege of working at Urban Studio on a styled shoot earlier this year and WOW -- this space is immaculately clean, and has a chic city vibe to it. You're right in the heart of NW Portland, within walking distance of several parking options and fun places to eat (if you're not taking advantage of the ever-fabulous Pearl Catering, of course), and you're guaranteed to have an amazing event at this stylish space.Urban Studio provides all of its events with an excellent canvas to bring to life however they see fit. I cannot wait to work there again -- the possibilities are endless!

We hired Pearl Catering for our wedding in September 2018 and they were fantastic! Nicole was the manager for the team and she made everything run perfectly and seamlessly. Pearl also helped us order all of our rentals, which was great! We ordered steak and salmon and honestly people wouldn't stop talking about how delicious the food is. Many people told me that they're used to having mediocre food at weddings, but that our food really stood out. We also got their truffle potatoes - which were DELICIOUS! We honestly did not have to worry about anything the day of our wedding because Nicole anticipated everything. We had a dessert potluck at our wedding too and even though it wasn't their food, she helped arrange the dessert table and it looked gorgeous! They were affordable, professional and a breeze to work with - hire them!

We love Urban Studio and Pearl Catering! We started out with a bit of rocky start when the person we were working with was no longer working there right after we signed our contract, but once we got paired up with Nicole it was smooth sailing from there. Nicole was so kind and attentive to our needs. She knew our vision, and leading up to the wedding she walked through our day with us several times to ensure every detail was accounted for. Also, the day of she was a dream working with our friends and family in regards to set up, and with each of our vendors. We utilized Urban Studio as our reception space and it was everything we could have hoped for. We had approx. 70 guests and it was the perfect space for our guests to mingle and dance. Not only was Nicole amazing, but the entire staff was so kind and professional. AND Pearl Catering was AMAZING! We had so many compliments regarding the food that was served as well as the BBQ food truck we reserved through them. All in all, amazing experience!

We had planned to get married at Urban Studio. We began to work with their team a year before our wedding and signed our contract. During the planning phase communication completely dropped off. We had questions regarding the proposal and wanted to iron out those issues. However, we went months without any communication from their team during the summer leading up to our wedding. When we finally asked to speak with the owner, we were told the owner didn't want to speak with us and we would be sued for breach of contract - for trying to speak with the individual over the phone? We were baffled by their unprofessionalism, and we were already angered by the shear lack of response to our conservative amount of e-mails. We cancelled our contract and received a refund on our deposit roughly 9 months after signing the initial contract.

Urban Studio was the first and only venue that my husband and I toured for our wedding. I knew it was exactly what I was looking for the minute we walked into the space. Its urban style perfectly balanced with the rustic décor we brought in to decorate. The location is in a central spot in the Pearl which was easy for our guests from all over town to access. Before the big day the Event Manager Nicole made me completely feel at ease and reassured me that everything would be handled. She was detailed, organized and had great suggestions. On our wedding day, Nicole and the Pearl Catering staff provided excellent service and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the event. Our friends and family loved the dinner Pearl Catering prepared and served and are still raving about the food!

I cannot say enough good things about Pearl Catering and Urban Studio! From the food, to the venue, to the professionalism of the staff, my wedding was the wedding of my dreams thanks to these guys.Looking for a caterer? Look no further. Guys, Pearl Catering is it. My guests were going back for seconds and thirds. My maid of honor was overheard saying \"this food is so ******* good.\" Another friend said \"don't tell my mom, but these potatoes are even better than hers.\"Looking for a venue? Urban Studio was amazing because it can be easily decorated to make your vision come to life. I really love how versatile the space was. It was the perfect size for my wedding, which had 115 guests. Also with Urban Studio you get some of the best food in the Portland area (see above comments). Random thing I really appreciated: it was so nice having that little loft area available so my husband, the wedding party, and I could hang out during the cocktail hour and be away from the crowd. One last thing, I just wanted to thank Kelly from the bottom my heart for being such an amazing coordinator. Kelly, thank you for putting up with my constant emails, for making sure every detail was perfect, and for even putting the flowers on the cake when the florist and bakery failed to communicate with each other. In general, thank you for going above and beyond.Thanks again to everyone at Pearl Catering and Urban Studio!

Urban Studio was amazing because it can be easily decorated to make your vision come to life. I really love how versatile the space was. It was the perfect size for my wedding, which had 115 guests. Also with Urban Studio you get some of the best food in the Portland area (see above comments). Random thing I really appreciated: it was so nice having that little loft area available so my husband, the wedding party, and I could hang out during the cocktail hour and be away from the crowd. One last thing, I just wanted to thank Kelly from the bottom my heart for being such an amazing coordinator. Kelly, thank you for putting up with my constant emails, for making sure every detail was perfect, and for even putting the flowers on the cake when the florist and bakery failed to communicate with each other. In general, thank you for going above and beyond.Thanks again to everyone at Pearl Catering and Urban Studio!

We had our wedding reception here and it was by far the best venue I have ever come across. Not only did they do a fantastic job organizing every single detail, but they walked through each item of the event so we knew exactly what we were paying for and how the event would be set up. The staff was amazing and the coordinator Annette was by far the most amazing person to work with. She made my day feel as special as if it was her day! Jason helped the day of and even in the middle of a snowstorm made it the most memorable day ever. The event is so classy and beautiful inside. The lighting, furniture, and set up made for enough space for talking, dancing, and eating, in addition to beautiful photos! \r\rThe catering by Pearl Catering was off the charts good. We had a lot of crazy foodies at the reception that would not stop talking about how incredible the food was. It came out hot, on time, and delicious. The presentation alone was to die for. The bartenders and servers went over and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of, even if it wasn't there exact job. I had no stress or worries on my wedding day thanks to Urban Studio and Pearl Catering. I will use them again in the future and highly recommend you do the same. \r\rWhat professionals! Thank you!
