Vail Golf & Nordic Clubhouse and Wedding Island Reviews
Betsy Pike(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-06-2018 Beautiful setting, private/intimate ceremony site, incredible clubhouse, good rain delay spots... why look anywhere else? You'll be blown away by this ceremony and reception site. VGC was also our caterer for our wedding, and the food was excellent. The favorite was the Colorado Trout! We had the most perfect and special day ever, and I wouldn't pick any other spot. There was a scheduled thunderstorm the day of our wedding, and fortunately we were able to have the wedding outside still. This craziness of the day required a solid team, and you'll get that with VGC. Plus - if you live in Eagle County, you'll get a local discount! Word to the wise though - parking for guests and vendors is very limited at the golf course, so book your transportation immediately. Reviewed on 17-07-2018

We worked with Vail Golf & Nordic Club for our wedding in July of 2023. They were really great! Courtney is AWESOME. We really appreciated her throughout our process and how helpful she was. The views are incredible for the price point as well. We loved it and had a great experience. Reviewed on 09-09-2023
Raeann Anderson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-07-2022 My husband and I had our wedding here in July and we are so very thankful that we chose the Vail Golf Club. We chose for our ceremony to take place on the wedding island and it is absolutely breathtaking. The views of the Gorge Range in the background are immaculate. We worked with Courtney to plan our wedding who has so much knowledge about the venue. We were planning a destination wedding so we had A LOT of questions and Courtney always responded to us in a timely manner. She also has a team that works under her on the wedding day who are rockstars! They work closely with your vendors to make sure your vision comes to life. Our guests complimented our food and the service from the waitstaff for months to come. Dinner was delicious and those who served were very attentive to guest’s needs. I will never be able to thank Courtney and her team for all their hard work on July 15th, 2022 to make sure we had the wedding of our dreams! If you are considering the Vail Golf Club for your upcoming wedding, I highly suggest booking a time to visit the venue as that is all it took for us to fall in love with it! Reviewed on 28-10-2022
Nicole H(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-09-2021 We had the most incredible day at the Vail Golf & Nordic Clubhouse. Courtney was fantastic to work with, very responsive, very helpful, and we really enjoyed working with her on our day. Our day was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing about it. We did not rent the wedding island but having our wedding on the lawn was beautiful and so easy for our guests to walk to cocktail hour and to the reception. We brought in our own caterer and it was so nice having a venue with some flexibility and during the planning process they were so wonderful and helpful. We dropped 2 stars due to a mishap that occurred with our day-of contact for the venue. Caitlin was great at the beginning of the wedding, very kind, and she helped the other young bartender at the bar. As the night went on, she became extremely abrasive and rude to me, the bride, and was VERY upset that there was a small miscommunication. We were under the impression it would be ok for our wedding coordinator we hired to clean up while people were still dancing, as long as the venue was clean and empty by the agreed upon ending time. This was not the case. At 10:12pm (our contract was through 11:00pm) Caitlin approached me, the bride, and my husband, the groom, saying that we needed to get everyone out right now. She was extremely rude to me, brought a printed copy of our contract out to me in the lobby to point out our ending time. I explained that I thought as long as we were out by 11:00pm and totally clean, we were good to go. That was not the case, so several of our guests started helping clean up and loading our car. Caitlin was rude enough that my husband went and talked to her separate from me to express his frustration in how she had just treated a bride, on her wedding day, and that it was inexcusable. We would not have minded being given the same information with some kindness and politeness, we had no issue with packing up a little early since it really was just a miscommunication. Instead, we were met with hostility and snappiness. We had several guests inform us she also went to the dancefloor and yelled at everyone to get out. Our wedding ended very abruptly and it stressed me out so much I started helping load decor, gifts etc into our getaway car, still in my dress, and in front of our guests. We didn't get to have our last dance. To top it all off, we were completely clean and out of the venue by 10:32pm, almost an entire half hour early. This was very upsetting for me as the bride and I hope this doesn't happen to others. I would like to again point out, Courtney was spectacular during the planning process and highly recommend working with her. The venue is stunning and the location is beautiful. Cassandra Moe(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-05-2021 The Vail Golf Course and their staff went above and beyond for our special day! Courtney the sales manager was very attentive, always answered my questions promptly and made my husband and I feel like at ease and in the loop throughout the entire planning process. Our ceremony on the wedding island was breath taking and the service from the time we booked our wedding to the end of the reception was outstanding! April and the banquet staff were attentive and professional. They helped make our day so special and we could not have be happier. Don't let me forget the food! one of the best meals we have had! 5 star all the way. It was the perfect day and I would highly recommend the Vail Golf and Nordic Center to any couple looking for a place to host their big day! Reviewed on 22-07-2021
Samantha Nye(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-09-2021 Absolutely beautiful venue. In our planning process we toured the facilities, and Scott was extremely professional and helpful, he went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of and feel welcomed. We ended up choosing a different venue due to the fact that we needed a larger capacity, but have nothing but good things to say from what we experienced! Reviewed on 12-10-2020
Riley Masters(groom)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-09-2018 Let me start by saying that we are very happy that we chose this venue. We decide to get married in the middle of September and let me tell you, the foliage did not disappoint! The walk to Wedding Island was a gorgeous yellow tunnel of aspen leaves. The pictures from the island as stunning! The reception at the Club House was great, we loved it. Truly, this is a gorgeous place to get married. The problem with this venue is that they are very difficult to work with. We had to jump through hoops with everything!! From renting chairs for the island, paying a fee for an outside caterer, finding a shuttle service to get out guests to the ceremony on the island (use Turtle Bus if you decide to go with this venue. They were awesome!), having a plan for getting guests from the island to the reception or else having to pay a $500 fee, the venue coordinator being unresponsive, you name it, we had trouble with it! It was unbelievable! It felt like there was a fee or fine for everything!!!We are all said and done, happily married and very happy with our wedding day...but the fees are still coming. Our deposit check is somehow \"lost in the mail\" and they want us to pay a $30 fee to reissue the check. How is it our fault that they check is lost and why should we have to pay for this error? Mariah Griffith(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-08-2018 It's a beautiful place and the food is wonderful, but set yourself up for success with clear planning from the get-go or a hire wedding coordinator. We did not have the most positive experience working with venue's event coordinator Carolyn, who became our primary contact for both the venue itself and catering. We are not from the area and had high expectations based on the caliber of the venue itself and our tour with the previous coordinator. In the end Carolyn contributed to some avoidable stress for both sides of the family (examples: not testing the golf cart battery that was planned to transport my grandparents to the wedding rehearsal, having it die and running the rehearsal without them, repeatedly urging us to hire her personal friend as a expensive wedding planner, highly recommending a local brewery for the rehearsal dinner that was not conducive to the event, suggesting changes to the order of wedding entrances to the bride as the ceremony was starting, etc.).On the upside it's an unforgettable ceremony and reception venue with a wonderful associated kitchen (who also took care of all the tables/linens/settings and made that part easy). Logically priced for the area and local hotels have moderate summer pricing on rooms. The wedding island does not have electricity but lends itself well to acoustic music, and the picture windows in the Gore Range Room at the clubhouse offer a great view all day and night. The bartenders and other employees of the clubhouse were all very congenial and pleasant all day.Get a wonderful photographer if you choose this venue, we're so glad we did! Reviewed on 11-09-2018
Ashley Rumer(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-10-2017 My husband and I had our wedding here in October and could never say enough good things about the venue or the staff! We originally had another venue booked in a different part of CO but when things went south, we turned to Vail and it was the best thing to ever happen to us: we found the Vail Golf Club! Emmy, the event coordinator, has been a blessing to work with. She is so friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating! And the venue....WOW! It is beyond gorgeous. The Gore Range Room is breathtaking and the wedding island was perfect. Our pictures have turned out incredible so far! The rest of the staff who assisted with the wedding were wonderful as well. Super polite and accommodating. Not only did we adore this place but our guests did as well. And the price is amazing for what you get!! I am so thankful to Emmy and the Vail Golf Club for making our wedding day absolutely perfect. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!! Reviewed on 10-11-2017
