Hi. My husband and I got married in lovely fall wedding during mid- November at Valle Vista this year and I can honestly say that it was the best decision that we ever made. The staff was always very kind, respectful, consistent, understanding, punctual, accommodating, and straightforward. They were also willing to helps us find a plan that was within our budget, which was also a major plus. My wedding planner, Pam, was always available whenever I need to chat or ask questions. Likewise, our wedding day coordinator, Candace, was very sweet and a literal breath of fresh air. My husband I both loved her, but especially me because she helped to keep me calm, relaxed, and happy throughout my whole wedding day. :) The staff also did a great job of decorating our reception room for us. The food was absolutely delicious, so our compliments to the wonderful chef and kitchen staff. It was truly a perfect day and I would absolutely recommend it for other couples. I turned into a literal princess on my wedding day and they treated me as such. Valle Vista is a place for making wedding dreams come true and gifting couples with sweet memories that will last a lifetime. Reviewed on 28-11-2023

Mariah A(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-07-2021 We had our wedding here in July of 2021. There were many things that easily could have been improved on to make our day even more spectacular. The biggest things:- I HIGHLY recommend using your DJ to do the sound for your ceremony- the person doing our ceremony music stopped it in the middle of my arrival. They also completely stopped the music before I was done walking. Many many people said they could not hear much of the actual ceremony. The music coordination was really disappointing.- I wish Valle Vista would have kept people out of the background of our wedding ceremony. There was another wedding reception going on next to our ceremony site. Those people attending that wedding and other golfers were out on the balcony drinking, cussing, and yelling right in the middle of our ceremony. We could easily hear everything they were saying as they were diagonally behind us- we hope our guests did not hear! I wish they would keep that area behind the trees clear of guests.- I wish there was better communication from our coordinator. I also wish she was more professional (our day of coordinator didn't show up to our rehearsal). She was not as prepared as we hoped she would have been. She was not there to help us prepare for the next day. I walked up to the altar thinking there would be 3 candles up there for the unity candle lighting, but there were actually 5. Just make sure you practice with everything so you're not up there confused because there are more than you thought there would be.Other minor hiccups:-The unity candles for our ceremony were not actually ours, which was a bummer because I found candles that I loved. We are still not sure whose candles we used!-The cheese & salami tray (that we paid extra for) available and not forgotten about.- I wish water was provided for and available while taking photos as it got very hot outside.-We were told we needed to provide bubbles for the \"bubble alley.\" They gave out bubbles, so we ended up getting all the our bubbles back. Unfortunately, we were past our return date for those, so it was wasted money.-Lots of Hor D'overs were wasted as no one announced they were out on the table.- Not everyone was offered champagne- Food was not labeled. Many people were wondering if it was fish or chicken. I was told it would have been labeled. I wish I would have made my own labels. This place is not all bad. There are many things that went well and we still had a spectacular day! Those are just some of the items I wish I would have known to look out for before our wedding day. Some pros: the driver of the shuttle was absolutely amazing. The location was beautiful. Everything was clean including the bus, ceremony site, reception, bathrooms.Bottom line, if I knew many things would have been pushed under the rug or forgotten about, then I would have hired a wedding planner/ coordinator to be on top of the employees at Valle Vista. I expected more as we were paying over $10,000 for this venue. We still ended up having a great day despite the many hiccups (not all were listed). Reviewed on 19-06-2022

Tynisa Batemon(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-06-2020 Valle Vista really made everything come together on our big day. I enjoyed having different things lifted off my shoulders as a bride in advance like turning the ceremony and reception extras in early. Now the downfall is being a bride from out of state, you have to be able to handle those duties during the week and not on the weekend. The hidden gems in the entire process were people I didn’t even meet until the day before and the day of the wedding. Shelbie our day-of- coordinator and Tom, the shuttle driver. They both made sure things ran as smoothly as possible leading up to the ceremony by making sure the bridesmaids were dry while taking pictures or the photographer was covered by an umbrella while taking the photos because it was raining. Shelbie kept things smooth and made sure I got everything I wanted the day of the wedding. We (guests included) were definitely extremely happy with the menu for the Chef’s Special the day of the wedding. We were originally scheduled to have the tasting, but couldn’t because of COVID-19 issues and timing of it all, so we trusted it would be great and it turned out awesome. The amazing part was being able to trade out options to make sure it fit with the style of our guests’ tastes. On the flip side, we did have a small issue with our cake that day. It was a little harder to cut through for us as the bride and groom and my guests said they would have liked them to be more moist. I think they were just left in the fridge a little longer than needed for our day. It was a little bit of a disappointment because during my first visit, the cake was great for a trial and expected to be spot on for us on our day. My suggestion to future brides is to make sure to ask all the questions regarding specific things you want to do in the room so you understand if an outside vendor is allowed or if you have to go through Valle Vista. If there’s a specific vendor you want for specific things, you may HAVE to use their team which is the plus of an all in-clusive place, but could also hurt depending on what your vision is. As long as it can be done, you should have no problem. Thanks Valle Vista for everything! Reviewed on 29-07-2020

Elizabeth Ball(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-09-2018 My husband and I recently go married here and it was more beautiful than we could have imagined. Our reception was in the room right around the corner from the ceremony veranda. The team was very accommodating to our asks including: time changes, room set up changes, additional set up items, his/her drinks, etc. Overall, we were very please with the service we received. Debbie was our day of coordinator and she went above and beyond to make sure the evening went smoothly and that we were enjoying ourselves. I had heard from other vendors that this place is a wedding mill, and even though there were 2 other weddings at the same time, we never once felt hurried or saw the other wedding parties/guests. The team for the day of has everything down to a science and simultaneously made us feel very in the moment and never rushed. We decided to upgrade the meal and many guests said that not only was it the best wedding food they had, but that the prime rib was one of the best they had had anywhere. A few cons: the wedding consultant that we worked with leading up to the wedding needs more training. There were a handful of items that she missed, skipped, or didn't keep track of. However, none of this impacted the wedding or reception at the end of the day, as other individuals on the team stepped in to ensure our day was amazing and exactly what we wanted. All in all, our day was beautiful and we would definitely recommend Valle Vista. We had so much fun during our wedding and we were really able to add a lot personal touches. Reviewed on 29-10-2018

Matthew Keen(groom)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-02-2018 That weekend went off without a hitch all thanks to Juliana and the staff she had working that weekend. She was amazing. She tended to every want and need we had. From the moment she checked in our decorations at drop off she was excited. During the rehearsal she made sure everyone knew where they needed to be, as well as the day of our wedding. During the reception the staff was amazing, the food was delicious, the bar was great, and again they made sure everything was perfect so we didn't have to ask for anything. Our guests had a great time. Thank you all so much for what you did to make that weekend possible. Now this is where the process to get to that weekend was frustrating. When we visited the venue we liked what we saw, we liked the packages they had. We took a little bit to decide if we wanted to book our wedding there. We got ahold of the Sales manager, Angela, and told her we wanted to book the room (West). We set everything up, signed everything and we were good to go. This is where it went horribly wrong. We then met with the Design manager, Donna. While meeting with her we found out that our reception was booked for the wrong room, this was a good 6 months after we had signed contracts. By the time this error was caught the West room was already booked for another wedding. The next day my husband was emailing Angela all day trying to figure out how to resolve this issue. We ultimately had to change the date of our wedding, after Save-the-Dates had been mailed out, and invitations were already in our possession. This left us out hundreds of dollars. We were then told we were going to be compensated for her mistake. We then met with Chuck, the owner, in order to get this resolved. We finally came to an agreement in order to make up for some of the money we had lost. After this meeting, it literally took 3 new contracts with the changes until everything was correct.Meeting with Donna was rocky, every idea we had for our reception was met with uncertainty. We were making our centerpieces, we had other decor we were making as well, adding some of our own lighting, and we also were not serving cake, we decided to serve pie instead. The decision for pie was decided when we met with Angela so this was known from the beginning. The vibe she gave off was that she didn't like any of our ideas because most of the decor wasn't theirs, wasn't minimalistic and she thought was over the top. None of this had to be set up by her anyway, Juliana did it all with help from the staff, and turned out beautifully. Then 3 days, THREE DAYS, before our wedding I get a call from Donna stating she had just gotten out of a manager meeting and they had questions about our pies. My husband called her to deal with this issue. She said, they talked about it and the pies won't fit so we would need to rent another table to display the pies. We disagreed with this and asked about putting them in the kitchen, she told us that wasn't possible but they could put them on a wire rack behind the table. Why would we want a wire rack of pies behind us as we are taking pictures and cutting \"the cake\". The fact that this was an issue 3 days before our wedding was uncalled for. My husband then told her to have which other manager she talked to about this to call him personally. He then received a call from Chuck. Talk to Chuck it seemed like he had no idea about this issue, and said it was absolutely no issue to keep them in the service kitchen. Reviewed on 28-03-2018
Janet Beckstrom(wedding party)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-03-2019 THINK TWICE BEFORE SELECTING VALLE VISTA for the most important day of your life! Our experience with my daughter’s wedding at Valle Vista in Oct. 2017 doesn’t match up with the glowing reviews elsewhere on this and other sites. The venue is beautiful to be sure. The Veranda has a fairy tale-like atmosphere and the reception room has picturesque views. The groom and groomsmen’s arrival in tricked-out golf carts, and the bride’s arrival in a horse-drawn carriage, make the event even more memorable. But the disparity between what was promised during planning and what played out on the wedding day put considerable stress on the bride, groom, and their parents. Some examples:-- The wedding specialist/planner who initially met with the bride and groom almost a year before the wedding, left Valle Vista several months before the event. Unfortunately, Valle Vista chose not to abide by many of the monetary and logistical commitments she made on VV’s behalf to the wedding couple during planning.-- During planning, the couple selected the earliest time slot available for the rehearsal because the planner indicated that was the only time when it could be held in the Veranda; rehearsals at later times that day, she said, would have to take place in a different location. When arriving at the designated time, the bride and groom were unapologetically told the rehearsal would be in the alternate room. This was upsetting because (1) at least half of the wedding party had never seen the Veranda, so were unable to visualize the space when given directions during the rehearsal, and (2) members of the wedding party had to schedule earlier times to fly/travel/leave work than they would have had to for a later rehearsal time, resulting in inconvenience that ultimately wasn’t necessary since they weren’t in the Veranda as promised.-- Commitments of pricing for alcohol made during planning were not reflected on the invoice, meaning we were charged hundreds of dollars more than discussed, including alcohol charges for 11 minors to whom alcohol couldn’t even be served.-- There were multiple instances of poor or lack of communication by the staff on the wedding day that stressed the wedding party and family members (on what had been promised to be a stress-free day). Attitudes of the staff assigned to oversee the event ranged from rude to indifferent. Particularly disturbing was the carriage driver talking to the bride about the sex lives of previous brides he had driven, and later mocking a bride who had fallen off the carriage seat. The general manager was contacted within a month of the wedding about the miscommunication, false promises, poor customer service, and misrepresentation of fees. After replying to confirm he received my email and would investigate, I never heard from him again. He has avoided my phone calls and not replied to my emails. I’m writing this review now because my efforts to address these issues with management have been ignored.Based on our experience, we agree with another reviewer’s comment that Valle Vista is a wedding mill where volume is more important than customer satisfaction. I urge you to take a careful look and ask a lot of questions when considering Valle Vista as your wedding venue. Reviewed on 15-01-2018

Michaela Harris(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-09-2017 Our wedding was a dream come true. My only negative on this experience is that Valle Vista is not very flexible on being able to set up or photography times. My aunt was doing all the flowers and they would not let her come in very early to do it all. I had all flower centerpieces. Even though the room was not being used that day they still would not let her come in until a couple hours before to help set up my reception room. She was very stressed out and still had to go home and get ready to attend the wedding. The photography time was frustrating because they only allow specific times for photography so I had to see my husband before the time I wanted to (which was right when I arrived). I knew this going in, but it was still a little frustrating. Also not being able to get ready there is a downfall. However Kristi was a wonderful coordinator and worked with me to make sure I got everything I wanted. She had the icicle lights put up early for me so the ceremony was beyond beautiful at night. She worked with me to alter the menu the way I wanted it and was always willing to make adjustments so that it was the perfect day(: I LOVED HER. She was super friendly and did everything she could to make sure your day was amazing. The ceremony area was beautiful and the area for the pictures was nice. There are swans in the pond and they pose for pictures. I did not like the shuttle ride to the picture area. There were not any windows and I got motion sick from the ride. Originally I would've given this place a 3, but Debbie made me change my mind. Reviewed on 24-06-2017

Linda Ratliff(wedding party)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-06-2018 My daughter and her family were very disappointed in Valle Vista. They changed coordinator mid way through planning. When we went to the rehearsal we were greeted by a \"coordinator\" we had never even heard of. We later found out after the wedding that she was not a coordinator but a food server. When was pushy and irritable. She rushed us through the rehearsal which left us unsure of things. The music technician was not there so there was no opportunity to be sure they knew what to do. The groom gave written instructions. There was even a back-up CD in case. At the ceremony we lined up to walk in and to our horror we hear the bridal March playing! If course this is not the music we were to walk in with. But at this point we had no choice. During the ceremony a beautiful song with vocals was to play but the volume was so low we couldn't hear it. Therefore the minister just kept going. It changed the uniqueness of the ceremony. When they were pronounced man and wife there was dead silence. They waited for a few seconds for the music to begin but it never did. The entire wedding party walked out in silence! The music started after they had walked out the door. We couldn't believe how unprofessional! Our daughter just smiled through it all but was devastated. While taking pictures we went outside. There was snow on the ground so we couldn't see that we were on a green. I was the only person in heels and our \"coordinator\" screamed out the door that we better get our heels off that green or we would be in trouble with the greenskeeper. It was humiliating. At the reception the food was good but the plates were tiny saucers. They were not 7\" plates. They took the food away much too early. The reception was only 3 1/2 hours and food was out only about half that time. The coordinator interfered several times with the DJ schedule. He had to keep checking with us because she would tell him something that was not correct. The wedding cake that was to be cut by bride and groom was nearly impossible to cut. The icing was so hard that pressure just smashed the cake. The guests cake icing was too hard also. When it was time for champagne toasts she informed us that our contract didn't include champagne! Of course it did but another mistake on valle Vista's part. She had me crying at that point saying she couldn't get any for us. Somehow she came up with some and served it in what looked like custard dishes. It's a shame that such a pretty setting can be so unprofessionally managed. We are thankful that we didn't use any other services they recommend like photographers, vidiographer and DJ. We think the individual care for each wedding is no longer a priority. Or possibly they felt we weren't important enough to bother we both. Either way it's a shame and our daughter and son-in-law cannot get a do over. They received a minor refund but not nearly enough. We also didn't like that we literally only got 2 choosea of cake flavor which was hidde. behind a \"fake cake\" that is designed to look pretty but isn't the actual cake that you eat...and even the fake cake designs were limited. Sarah .(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-11-2017 Worst choice for a venue around Indianapolis! Be careful, we were really given a glossy version of what our experience turned out to be. We thought the location was beautiful, but this is a \"wedding factory\" that turns out 3 to 4 weddings every Saturday. There is no real personal attention paid and we found this out the hard way. We weren't allowed the typical choices of which room, layout or timing for anything. They even switched the ceremony time on us but thankfully our invites had not gone out yet! We also couldn't get ready at the venue and the groom and groomsmen were not welcome in the building until right before photos began. This made everything so rushed and not enjoyable. Our florist was barely allowed enough window of time to deliver everything to be set up, which Valle Vista did incorrectly. Basically we were told what to do and when and everybody was restricted on when they could arrive, take photos and even walk us down a hallway. As the bride I felt like a captive in the building not even being allowed to go to the bathroom unescorted for \"fear\" we would run into another bride they said. I couldn't have cared less and thought it was overboard. Our coordinator Rosie, failed on many fronts, especially communication and she changed several things without notifying us until right before the wedding, which made us scramble and change schedules with our hair and makeup people. Our day of person Donna lacked skills as well. She flipped out when things didn't go exactly as planned and it was embarrassing. Although she was generally friendly, we caught her being curt to our guests and other vendors and I had to apologize on her behalf, more than once! That is inexcusable! Overall this venue created a lastly memory of embarrassment and stress for us. I would not recommend this place to anyone, unless you want good food. I will say that the food turned out well with no hiccups! Reviewed on 05-09-2016

Tina was a huge help from day one, Donna helped turn my visions into reality, and Debbie was amazing as our coordinator for the ceremony and reception. I could probably write a whole paragraph about how great Debbie was. She checked in with us frequently before the ceremony, kept us in the loop with timing, made sure everyone was where they needed to be, told us how beautiful we looked, and shared a few good laughs with us. She literally took care of us from the minute we arrived until we left. The food was delicious and the photography spots were beautiful. Everything was so well-organized and stress-free. The staff at Valle Vista did a flawless job of handling all of the big stuff so we could enjoy the little things that really made the day so special. Anonymous (groom)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-08-2017 You know i have never in my year's of business call people as in the bride and groom and others a liar as well as basically a threat to take her inaccurate post down now I am still debating on how to take care of this because I saw what my wife sent to Rosie and I saw her post on yelp and Facebook. I am not a owner but to have a owner email me back and my wife saw it first an reason being is i used our email that we use together. This is so unprofessional on Mr.Chuck or Charles or whatever your name is to email my wife back after you all got your money and then want to make my wife cry because she was given her opinion as well as how it went and I didn't see you and I golf there all the time but I will say this that our wedding when it finally got started was a beautiful wedding. You are not going to call my wife a liar and tell her that there were people texting her saying there is no where to park our wedding did start late because you had another wedding before ours and she didn't know about the text of other people saying that they can't walk that far and sorry I would have came up but didn't want to walk that far considering that they were older folks and yes it was a error mistake about the replacement of the fish for the Ham i don't care how much the fish was it wasn't about that they forgot the tea as well as when we finally got in their our bread was cold and the salad was okay. Now from the start you don't know how my wife was treated by Rosie as well as Donna wasnt to pleasant either but I will say crystal who took care of my wife she said she was absolutely amazing but for you as a owner to call my wife a liar and to take the inaccurate post down. You have no right what so ever and as far as you going that route I was out of line you don't know what my wife went through with Rosie maybe you should reconsider some of your staff that would be friendlier and not worried about money and when it will be in when we paid weekly or every few weeks and then when my father-in-law went into cardiac arrest she said I'm sorry to hear about that but we still need to get this together and that was before the 6th of May so you want somebody on your stuff like that and believe me we still have all the emails and to call her out the way you did was very unprofessional I don't care if you only Club I don't care if you own 20 clubs you had no right yeah there was a few problems but it seems like to me that was all that mattered was her statement on Yelp and Facebook and then to email her back the way you did you are out of line maybe I should call the BBB because we have every single email and we do have witnesses as well the ladies that were taking our pictures had to take extra pictures because you guys were running behind but other than that we lost a few guests and our food was messed up but they did get fixed after the fact of everyone going through the line I was in disbelief about your email because I'm the one that emailed Rosie because of how everything went my wife didn't seem like it was her wedding it seem like that you guys wanted to control everything and that is the truth but it was a beautiful wedding beautiful carriage and an awesome ride and the Gatsby butt don't email my wife in basically call her out and say she was a liar because she's not. I give it a 1 for the simple fact of the email in trying to explain to the owner which I thought was Rosie but now I'm pretty upset to even say the least Reviewed on 15-06-2016

Your reception is also held there which makes it easy for guests. Valle Vista has excellent service, and they set up for your wedding ceremony and reception. Just watch out for all the stuff they charge you for. If you want to have a cake vender, they will charge you a fee for not using their fake cakes. (Literally a fake cake is set on display for your wedding and they serve little mini cakes that don't taste very good). \r\rThe staff is very organized and keeps things going smoothly on your wedding day so there is nothing for the bridal party to stress or worry about. \r\rThey have grounds for you to have photos taken on (they don't like it if you go off the grounds for photos, but my groom and I did). Since it is a golf club, there are limited areas you can go to because they do not want people to mess up the green; this limits the photographer's creativity which can prevent you from having amazing wedding photos you love. Hayley Garard(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-06-2013 I am a bride that got married in June. First off Apryl who will work with you pre wedding is great. The rest of staff at Valle Vista was rude and disorganized and made some major mess ups like sitting my brother (who was in the wedding party) at the wrong table with the grooms family and having the bride and groom not sitting next to each other? Quite a few members of the wedding party complained to me later about how rude some of the Valle Vista staff were to them including my husband Ted. My brother who was in the wedding party observed NUMEROUS guests from upstairs coming down stairs and indulging in the open bar that WE payed for? \rGoing down the list I was so disappointed in the disorganization of Valle Vista. I spent hours and hours filling out paperwork specifying how I wanted things to run and where I wanted people seated and almost none of it was upheld. And I am not a picky person and was planning for a few hiccups of course, but these were just ridiculous. The date of the rehearsal I was asked who everyone was walking with and in what order, which I didn't know off the top of my head because that information was all in the packets I spent hours filling out before the wedding. Then on the wedding day, a very stressful time as is, the staff AGAIN messed up how we were all walking down the aisle and my bridesmaids had to help and that happened again on the way into the reception and then when my maid of honor tried to explain how it was suppose to be they told her they had to go by their list, which I don't know what that was, but it was nothing I filled out. We didn't get into the reception until an hour after we were suppose to so everything was rushed and many of my guests left before I even got to greet them. I don't know what the hold up was because I was just waiting in the dressing room forever until we were released into the rehearsal.\rThere was a party before ours in the reception hall, so the room wasn't ready when my photographer wanted to take pictures. My mom witnessed people just kind of throwing the place cards on tables randomly because they were so far behind. Also, that situation really ruined my mom's day because since she was doing my flowers and wasn't allowed to put the flowers in the room until so late she missed helping me get ready and didn't get to see me once before the wedding. Our wedding coordinator was Wanda... if you get Wanda run for the hills! \rAfter the wedding, thinking that this may have just been a bad day for the Valle Vista staff I wrote an email with my concerns and was scheduled for a teleconference for 2 months later at which point it is hard to remember details, but I thought I would try to help them with what went wrong so it didn't happen in the future. In the teleconference the staff proceeded to belittle me and take no responsibility for anything that went wrong. They were very rude and disrespectful, which is no way to treat their customers. They pretty much claimed I was lying by telling them people were coming from other weddings into ours. They said my mother was lying with her account of what happened in the reception room. Please for your own sake do not use them! Especially for a big wedding. Heidi Martinez(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-04-2013 From the very beginning everyone at Valle Vista was so kind and helpful. Sydney Ross(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-04-2013 Valle Vista was a beautiful place to have a wedding - they have a separate \"Veranda\" that has an open wall overlooking the golf course for the ceremony, and reception halls inside. Everything is beautiful. During the planning process, they are eager to help and answer your questions. HOWEVER, the wedding day is a different story. Everything is supposed to be taken care of, they ask you all these questions of what you want, but then on the day of the wedding, all chaos broke out! Golfers were PLAYING GOLF right by the veranda, our flower girl almost got knocked out by a golf ball, the didn't give the guys their boutineers, and then they made our wedding start 10 minutes late! They also do up to 6 or 8 weddings a day, and there was a wedding ceremony right after mine, so they only gave us about 30 minutes TOTAL for pictures after the wedding - me and groom, family, AND bridal party pics! So we were so flustered and so rushed that we look awful in half of the pictures, and we didn't get the other half of the ones we wanted. So it was a beautiful day, but so stressful and rushed, and we felt like \"Just another wedding\" instead of special. Also, the bar, which was expensive, ran out of beer and white wine before the 5 hours we had paid for was up. Reviewed on 01-05-2013

We got a sneak peak of our reception room the night before and everything was set up exactly as we wanted it. We had the ceremony held at Valle Vista as well and everything was beautiful and went so smoothly. Our day of coordinator Debra was also amazing! She was fun and always let me know what was happening. We have received so many compliments on Valle Vista's food, and many have told us it was the most fun they've ever had at a wedding! I would recommend the horse and carriage & Gatsby limos as well! These were the highlight for us. Apryl was very responsive answering my questions and helping us set up a wedding and reception. We were able to set up a wedding and reception with hor d'oeurves, buffet, cake, and alcohol for 100 people under 10k. Brianne Meyers(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-11-2012 I had my wedding and reception at VV in November 2012. I think that if I could go back and do everything again, I may still choose Valle Vista, but I would do a few things differently.\r\rPros:\r- Very affordable, beautiful venue. We had the Ceremony of Lights (which I can't recommend enough) and it was breathtaking. I doubt that there is another venue that is as elegant, striking, and impressive looking for this price. We paid approx. $6,000-7,000 (can't remember exactly) for our ceremony, reception, table decorations and catering for 65. There was very little decorating that we still needed to do.\r- They were pretty flexible with the things that I wanted to DIY, but had I wanted to do absolutely nothing, that would've practically been possible. I hired an outside bakery, did my own flowers and favors and centerpieces, but they have a lot there that they will do for a reasonable price.\r- Almost all of the staff was excellent to deal with. Rosie was wonderful, very flexible, helpful, prompt, professional, and reassuring. A woman named Polly on the catering team was just a gem, although I only ever met her during our reception and just before, she was fantastic. Rebecca was very efficient and reassuring.\r- They do set-up of centerpieces, etc. I didn't have to worry about this at all.\r\rCons:\r- My biggest issue with the entire process involved day-of pictures. Throughout the planning process, I was assured that the men and the women and the family would each have a room, and that a coordinator would direct us all to one place for photos, etc. This did not happen. I spent way too much time waiting in rooms, not knowing what time it was or where my groom was sequestered, searching for VV staff and not knowing if I was going to run into my groom before the wedding, sending people out to look for staff. It was just very disorganized. In the end, my dad was in almost none of the formal pictures because he was just not directed to where he should be, and I didn't even know where in the building he was.\r- Several of our guests were late (which was of course not VV's fault!) and it wasn't until nearly 45 minutes after the wedding was supposed to start that anyone communicated with me about this - someone on staff made the executive decision to delay the start of the ceremony, which would have been fine for 10-15 minutes, but I was not even told about this situation until 45 minutes after it was supposed to start. It was nearly an hour late. Subsequently, so was the reception, and we only got to play a fraction of the songs scheduled - which was not the DJ's fault, never even got to do the garter toss, etc. If anyone had spoken to me, I would not have okayed delaying the ceremony by an hour.\r- Our rehearsal was confusing, and I spent the rest of the night fielding questions from wedding party members needing clarification on things we'd all understood before the rehearsal.\r- There was another wedding or two happening at the exact same time as mine. It's a little surreal to be passing other fully dressed brides in the hall and not be sure if guests in the lobby are your new spouse's distant friends' dates that you've never met, or belong to another wedding entirely.\r- It was NOT a con for me, but you can only use their catering. I was fine with that, but it may be a drawback for some. Reviewed on 05-01-2013

Valle Vista was very accommodating. The staff there is really great and on top of it all. They have done many weddings at their facility and it shows. They were VERY organized and helped with all of the fine details which made it really easy for my husband and I. I was worried about missing something major for the wedding but they sit down with you and go through everything from the ceremony to reception down to the last detail. The coordinators there also were great at communicating with us. Any emails we sent them we would get a response back either that day or the next. They made things very easy and everything went very smoothly. I would highly recommend this facility. And the price is very competitive. The food was also a surprise. We did a buffet style for our wedding. You have to book with them before they will let you taste their food which made us a little nervous. And then you pick up your food doggie-bag style and taste it at home. The food actually was way better on our wedding day then it was for the tasting and we got many compliments on how good the food was. And the ceremony on the veranda was beautiful! Great place!! George Davis(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-07-2012 The people at Valle Vista REALLY know their stuff! They meet with you quite frequently leading up to the wedding- by their request and by yours. I feel like I had at least one question/ week for them as the wedding got closer, and they were always prompt and friendly with their responses- and they never made me feel as if my questions were studid or bothersome! Rosie Maloney and Donna Schnell were the BEST, along with the \"day-of\" coordinators who made sure everything went off without a hitch!\r\rOnly downsides- it is a little pricey, but we also went with some options that greatly increased the price (i.e horse and carriage entrance for bride, Gatzby \"limos\" for the guys, open bar, chocolate fountain, etc.) Secondly, because they do 2-3 weddings/ day, they have employees who set up your reception area for you (you give them all the stuff a few days before). For a detail-oriented bride, like me, it drove me nuts that I couldn't decorate the room myself or even see it before the guests do. But, they did an AWESOME job setting it up just like I had wanted- and it looked Gorgeous! Reviewed on 26-08-2012

Tina Yang(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-06-2012 My husband found Valle Vista from a friend's recommendation and fell in love with it. At first it's amazing how many details they've accounted for (having specialized in weddings), but we found that those small details come with a price. For example, it was $3.50 for chair covers with bows when if I bought online it was only $1.25 for chair covers and bows, but we were not allowed to bring in our own. Small things like that, where you really couldn't go without it (chairs were ugly underneath), would add up so we wound up going over budget by a few thousand dollars. The plus side though was that the coordinators were extremely friendly and would point out the smallest details that as a new bride, one would easily overlook. Valle Vista was extremely organized (think well oiled machine), had coordinators that had you informed at every minute, and made sure everything went accordingly. Overall, good investment and I would recommend it to any couple that don't want to have to worry about too much on their wedding day. Reviewed on 02-07-2012

Arlene made my day go so smoothly, I am glad there was a day of coordinator there so there was no confusion.\rOnly warning is to be careful when picking other vendors and to really read your contract when you sign. Brittany Jaynes(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-03-2012 If you don't want the hassle of renting everything for different places, Valle Vista is right for you. They do, however, have a set idea of what a wedding should look like, so if you have different ideas, then they act like you're crazy. There was also some charging issues. We just had cupcakes and a small cake for the wedding party and it was a self serve type of station and they still charged us the cake cutting fee! They cut the price in half, but I was furious when I later found that no one had cut out smaller cake. We ended up giving it to some guests later with only one piece gone (the one we smooshed on eachother). Also, they onlky let vendors in 90 minutes before the reception time, which was okay for me, but some people might have trouble with this if there are more elaborate decorating needs.\rAlso, and this is a big one... you do not know what ballroom you will be in until about 2 weeks until your wedding. Some people are fine with that, but I am an overplanner, so this was an absolute nightmare for me!\rNow, with that being said, I absolutely loved me wedding and would change any of those little bloopers for anything! Some of the messup of the day are my favorite memories. My Ceremony coordinator, Rebekha, was wonderful!! She is there to be the big sister and she did an amazing job getting everyone where they needed to be. n the corrdinator note, V.V. calls them day of coordinators, however, they are only there during the ceremony. They then leave and the kitchen head is there for you for the rest of the evening, which i skind of annoying because I just got to know my ceremony oordinator and 'bam' here's a new one. Luckily I had am outside coordinator for ym day, so I knew I could always find her.\rAll in all, I loved my wedding and I am happy I went with Valle Vista. Reviewed on 28-03-2012
