Beautiful venue and great customer service from Sandy and her entire team. We had a ton of comments from our guests on how beautiful the space was, especially the bathrooms. Our day went very smoothly and we were super pleased with everything the Varsity did to make our wedding event successful.

The Varsity Theater was so so so so amazing!! We are so happy we had our reception here. The atmosphere is so unique and romantic. All of our guests were in awe at the venue and had an absolute blast. The venue is already set up for concerts/shows so the DJ/light techs, etc could really make it feel like a party! Sandy was amazing to work with - she thought of everything and helped make the night go smoothly. I would 10/10 recommend! It is literally the most unique venue around and it is pretty affordable.

At the end of the day, our wedding was beautiful and our guests loved The Varsity. That's the most important thing. However, the process was not always smooth.We booked our wedding with Megan way back in 2019 and were really excited. However, Covid happened, we had to postpone (twice!), and Megan was replaced by our eventual coordinator, Sandy. Sandy was not always easy to work with. I got the impression that she was under pressure from people above her to cut costs and who knows what else. Concerts definitely took precedence over our private event and we often felt that we were an inconvenience to The Varsity and that they were doing us a favor by letting us have our wedding there. Not the feeling you want to get from your venue! Sandy was constantly telling us she was making exceptions for us and giving us freebies, I still don't know what these freebies are because we certainly never asked for any. She was also not always responsive and often had an annoyed or impatient demeanor when we communicated with her. We felt like we had to figure everything out on our own and would have appreciated more guidance from the venue.The day itself went pretty well; the only hiccup we had was that the sound team didn't play the music we asked for and played some weird electronic stuff instead, which wasn't really the vibe we were looking for. Not a huge deal but not great.Overall I just really think this place is set up better for concerts than for private events. And that's fine; they do a great job with concerts! But then don't advertise yourself as a wedding venue.

My wedding at Varsity Theater was truly something magical. They minimized the planning stress by providing a coordinator who supported my partner and I throughout the process and worked behind the scenes to ensure that everything went smoothly the day of. Elise and the entire team at Varsity, including the bartenders, did an absolutely phenomenal job at creating an unforgettable experience and we are deeply grateful!
