Great dates still available for 2023 and 2024 Weddings! Located in metro Atlanta, GA, Vecoma at the Yellow River is a waterfront venue that hosts weddings and other special events. The owners are Judith and Caroline, a mother-and-daughter duo that helps to-be-weds enjoy their nuptial celebrations in this breathtaking setting. Vecoma at the Yellow River is a secluded gem among 70 acres of oak, pine, and sweetgum trees, situated by its namesake river. In the 1920s, Cotton Mather found success in his furniture business and sought a country home for himself, his wife Venie, and their four daughters. In 1927, Venie and Cotton finished constructing a six-sided cabin, built from wood and stone from the property itself. The name “Vecoma” comes from the first two letters of their names. The chimney and the foundation of the original cabin remain intact, located next to the reception hall constructed in 1996. Judith and Caroline are descendants of Venie and Cotton and invite you and your loved ones to enjoy this venue’s verdant peace and beauty. Vecoma at the Yellow River offers packages for wedding ceremonies and receptions as well as elopements and vow renewals. You can make private use of ceremony sites, reception areas, and dressing rooms. Up to 320 reception guests or 250 seated can attend events at this venue. With a location within metropolitan Atlanta, this property offers forest and mountain views with a long drive for guests. We had our wedding at Vecoma in May 2023 and it was all around such an amazing experience.First, the venue is gorgeous. While it's not far at all from the highway, making it easy to get to, the venue feels very secluded and quiet. There is plenty of paved parking right in front of the building as well. The ceremony is held in front of an arbor surrounded by trees and the sound of the Yellow River, and we decided to bring only a small arbor decoration because the area is so beautiful.The ballroom for the reception was gorgeous as well and we decided not to bring much except some centerpieces - candles and flowers - because the room was already decorated so well. And we didn't even have to bring vases because they provided them.For a busy couple like us, not having to think much about decorations for the ceremony or the reception hall was a big help. The staff handled everything else from arranging the tables to setting out tablecloths and even lighting the candles. This kept a lot of the burden of set up off of us and our party.Second, the staff, especially Caroline and Caitlin, were phenomenal. From the very first time we contacted them, they were quick to respond and so helpful. I would send long lists of questions and usually within the day I had detailed answers to all of them. We also had two meetings, at 6 and 2 weeks before our day, to discuss all the details; on the day of, everything we had discussed was taken care of. They were so kind, especially at our 2 week meeting when I was stressed about all the details. They said that everything would come together and that they and their staff were there help on that day, so I didn't have to plan every single thing out. And they were right! When the day arrived, so many things happened so smoothly - because they've been planning weddings for a long time and know what they're doing. And Caroline was essentially the day-of coordinator so we didn't have to hire anyone. The rest of the staff was amazing as well - their positive attitudes really contributed to a great energy throughout the day. At the end, their staff handled the vast majority of clean up, so our families didn't have to stress about it! Third - they were so affordable! The cost breakdown on their website seemed extremely reasonable, compared to what we were seeing for other places. We reached out and they gave us a quote for our guest count, and it was close to what we expected! This helped us stay close to our ideal budget for the wedding without settling for something \"cheap\" - because this place doesn't feel cheap at all!Fourth, the DJ they recommend, Kirk Moten, was fantastic. He sent us lists of songs, templates for the reception, and answers to our many questions in a timely manner as well. He told us that we could be as involved as we wanted to be. We decided to pick out all the songs we wanted for the dance floor, and he stuck to that list. He was also amazing at keeping the energy up, and he made both the ceremony and reception flow so smoothly. We definitely recommend booking him with the venue!Last but definitely not least, the food was amazing! All our guests raved about it too. We had the Italian dinner and all of it was delicious.Overall, we couldn't recommend this venue highly enough! It was the perfect size for our 100 person wedding, they made everything so smooth, they were so accommodating of all our questions and requests, and it was beautiful. We truly enjoyed the entire experience.

They were upfront about all costs with absolutely no hidden fees. The food was delicious and we received several compliments from our guests. Several said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended! We also used several of their preferred vendors and could not have been more pleased! Caroline was our photographer and she was amazing! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars for making our day perfect!

We had our wedding here in June of 2023, and we had such a great experience. For reference, in February 2023, we were STILL looking for a venue when we happened upon Vecoma. So, we called them on Saturday morning and they asked us \"how quickly can you be here?\" Turns out they were having an open house that day.We arrived just in time and Judith took us around personally, in the rain, in heels, to show us the property. We were enchanted from the jump and all of the vendors were already there so we could meet them. We happily agreed to host our wedding there. To put all of that in perspective, we woke up without a plan. By 1pm we had a venue, caterer, celebrant, photographer, table linens, DJ, florist, menu, bar, and hors d'oeuvres. They did so much, and it all went so well and our big day was stunning in the early summer. Also, the price was very reasonable and easy to get to for our out of town guests.Very special shout-out to the florist we hired, Elaine at Dried Flowers Atlanta/Daphne and Iris. She made the most beautiful arrangements in dried flowers, by hand, that now help decorate our home. She also planned out the logistics of our sand ceremony and brought that all together. And, honestly, she was just really nice to us when things got stressful. My husband and I are a same sex couple, if that matters, just in case anyone else was wondering if that was ever an issue (it wasn't). Now, we have beautiful photos, beautiful memories, and a happy new life together. We can't thank everyone involved enough.

Vecoma was absolutely perfect to us! Jake was with us from the beginning of the process. He helped us plan the flow of the day. On the day of the ceremony Kirk was coordinating everything alongside with Caroline! They were both wonderful! Kirk even took my heart guestbook and went table by table making sure everyone would sign it! That was very lovely of him and we will never forget it! The food was sooooo good! We had the Jamaican jerk chicken with rice pilaf vegetables and salad! Everything was delicious and well spiced!! Right after the ceremony we had a bit of rain and Caroline brought us see through umbrellas that looked just super sweet in our pictures! She made sure we were still having cute pictures! In conclusion, Vecoma is an amazingly beautiful place with incredible people that work hard to make your day special! A Huge thank you to all the staff from the Johnsons!

My wedding was back in May of this year and while it is a gorgeous venue , I had some setbacks the day of my wedding. Do not get me wrong, this venue is gorgeous and has a beautiful backdrop of the yellow river but there are things that could have been improved on my day. First, when the bridal party arrived the AC was turned off in the upstairs room so we were drenching in sweat getting dressed. We told the photographer ( forget her name, not Caroline) that it was hot and she turned on the AC for us. This should have been done in advance especially if you know you have people coming who will have hair and makeup done. Second, when we arrived I could not find any wedding coordinator at all. No one that I had been in contact with the entire time was there the whole night of my wedding. Caroline had left Kirk in charge ( their in house DJ). So the guidance for the wedding was off. When the bridal party arrived, the in house photographer hadn't even taken the groomsmen photos yet. She said she was waiting on the coordinator to tell her. I didn't even know Caroline or any other coordinator would not be there that day. I had to tell the photographer when to take their photos and it made me feel like I was the coordinator. Third, the placement of the tables was not how they sent me in the floor plan layout like they originally sent me. So we had to scramble the day of to rearrange our table numbers the way they sent them to match, so people would know where to sit.Fourth, after the wedding was over the entire bridal party didn't know where we line up to enter for introduction and when to enter. The DJ we hired had to come outside to ask us where the coordinator was so that he could know when to announce us. It just seemed like I was doing more work as a coordinator and bride the day of the wedding.

Vecoma at the Yellow River is a beautiful, quaint, private and magical oasis in the most picturesque part of Snellville. We stumbled across the facility one day while driving by. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Caroline who graciously showed us around her family’s venue. From our very first interaction, she was courteous, informative and extremely welcoming. The interior is beautiful however once we saw the grounds, we were sold. The natural beauty of the location, the landscaping, the history of the land, and the river all present as the most ethereal wedding location. During our ceremony, we could hear the birds chirping, the river flowing and the breeze in the trees. What a treat for our guests and us! Afterwards, as we stood upon the river banks and Caroline took our wedding pictures, a beautiful butterfly dropped into the space between us and lingered there.Our reception was equally memorable. The food was delicious, the staff was attentive, professional and courteous at all times. No wedding planner or decorator was necessary and they helped to keep our itinerary on track. We had a wonderful time at Vecoma and highly recommend this facility for your next milestone event. Caroline and her team are amazing to work with and will definitely take excellent care of you and your guests.

Vecoma was the best venue we could have ever chosen! The food was delicious, Caitlin did a great job with our photography. It's been 5 years since our wedding, and I don't regret anything about it. We had our ceremony at a Church and Caitlin was gracious enough to come to my house before and take pictures as well as at the Church. They truly went above and beyond. Our guest still rave about the food and say to this day, it's the best \"wedding food\" they've ever had. I wanted a venue that had character and personality, and this was exactly it.

I guess I’ll start from 7 months ago when my husband and I had just gotten engaged and began to look for venues. After disappointing prices, reviews, and venue appearances, we came across this gem located in Snellville. From the minute we pulled into the parking lot at The Vecoma at Yellow River, we were smitten. My fiancé’, at that time, said “This is it!”. Not only is the venue perfectly impressionable, the staff inside was welcoming and professional. Our first encounter with Caroline was simple snd easy. Upon entering the main reception area with beautiful high beams and balances, we felt at home, The outside grounds are well maintained and kept with picture perfect backgrounds and a thousands ways to add your own spin of decor. Did I mention, it’s also all inclusive??? Which made it so simple to plan our dream wedding. The florist and bakery were separate but both came highly recommended from The Vecoma and did not disappoint! Meg and Katelyn helped me navigate through the reception selections, while Caroline guided us through our rehearsal details and took the most beautiful pictures of our special day. There was also other staff that took great care of us on our wedding day! Everything was smooth and well organized. Our DJ was included and communicated very well with us for our music and moments. The most surprising part was that the food was absolutely fantastic. My guests wanted seconds and went back for more! Hats off to the chef!! I guess I’ll start from 7 months ago when my husband and I had just gotten engaged and began to look for venues. After disappointing prices, reviews, and venue appearances, we came across this gem located in Snellville. From the minute we pulled into the parking lot at The Vecoma at Yellow River, we were smitten. My fiancé’, at that time, said “This is it!”. Not only is the venue perfectly impressionable, the staff inside was welcoming and professional. Our first encounter with Caroline was simple snd easy. Upon entering the main reception area with beautiful high beams and balances, we felt at home, The outside grounds are well maintained and kept with picture perfect backgrounds and a thousands ways to add your own spin of decor. Did I mention, it’s also all inclusive??? Which made it so simple to plan our dream wedding. The florist and bakery were separate but both came highly recommended from The Vecoma and did not disappoint! Meg and Katelyn helped me navigate through the reception selections, while Caroline guided us through our rehearsal details and took the most beautiful pictures of our special day. There was also other staff that took great care of us on our wedding day! Everything was smooth and well organized. Our DJ was included and communicated very well with us for our music and moments. The most surprising part was that the food was absolutely fantastic. My guests wanted seconds and went back for more! Hats off to the chef!! The whole wedding planning process was made easy by the staff at Vecoma. All of my emails were answered promptly and they were very helpful throughout the process. Everything on my wedding day ran smoothly and my husband and I felt very taken care of for the entire night. We were a little nervous about the food as we both are \"foodies\". They knocked it out of the park. Our guests said all the appetizers at cocktail hour were amazing and the food was great at dinner as well. The venue is in a gorgeous location and the fall colors were definitely prominent during our wedding. The tall guy from Philadelphia (we forgot his name) was awesome!! He was so nice and very attentive to both Kyle and me. My mom also commented on how great he was as well. Kyle and I both had expectations of the evening and Vecoma far surpassed them. Thank you all so much for making our day INCREDIBLE!!! IT WAS AMAZING!!!The only piece of feedback I have is for the DJ (DJ Kirk) recommended by Vecoma. The DJ was good but my husband and I had very specific requests and we met with him to go over what we wanted. There were multiple songs played that 'cleared the dance floor'. We didn't want any slow songs to be played and just wanted to have our guests dance the night away. We gave a long list of songs we suggested him to play and suggested playing songs for a shorter amount of time than the whole song. Overall, it wasn't terrible by any means, it just wasn't what Kyle and I had asked for or wanted. We wanted to comment on this in case any couple wants something specific we suggest going with a different DJ. If you just want a standard DJ he was good and the day ran smoothly.

The staff over at Vecoma at yellow river was super cool they made sure that we had everything we needed and our wants was taken care of. The Chef did a wonderful job with the food it was delicious, and flavorful The gas is still talking about the food . The space was so gorgeous and inviting. The ambulance was more than what we expected, everything I mean everything was just beautiful I will most definitely be using them again.

it took us forever to find our venue, and I'm glad we kept looking, because Vecoma was absolutely perfect place for us. They were incredibly accommodating and had some great features that never saw at other venues. amazing indoor/outdoor area. One of my favorite little extras is that they have a kegarator to serve draft beer, which was great since most of my friends and I enjoy craft beer. On the day of, Caroline and her staff took care of everything. We had a very strict timeline to try and fit everything, and they helped make sure that the timeline was adhered to. We heard incredible remarks from our guests, but the number one compliment was how good the food was. Everyone loved everything. We had salmon, blackened chicken, porkloin, mashed potatoes, and redbeans and rice. Everything was incredible. We could not have dreamed of a better venue. I have been recommending them whenever anyone asks.

I am so happy the Lord God led me to Vecoma at the Yellow river. It was everything and more . My guests are still talking about how lovely a wedding it was how great the food was how great the DJ was everything was so nice it was such a beautiful location and all the guess were so friendly and the staff was so friendly everybody loved it and it's all thanks to the coma. many thanks to Caroline the photographer who did an outstanding job and she even danced at me on the dance floor . I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding here and the venue was amazing! There were many spots to take gorgeous photos outside. I can't say enough good things about this venue, Caroline, and her team. Planning and communication: Caroline and her team are so easy to talk to and work with. No matter how simple or complicated our questions, someone always got back to us within 24 hours. They have so many weddings and must juggle so many couples, but we never once felt undervalued. Also, I don't see much mention of this, but this venue is SUCH a good value! My husband and I have incredibly busy jobs so we were looking to have as all inclusive an experience as possible. Through them, we booked the venue (obviously), photographer, DJ, caterer and while we had our own officiant, we could have done that too. They made this process so easy, I was actually worried I wasn't doing enough planning at some points. COVID: They went above and beyond to allow us to reschedule and alter our plans when COVID hit. They listened to all our concerns and provided a safe, distanced environment that all of our guests complimented us on. I had heard so many horror stories from other brides about vendors not honoring contracts and not working with them, but our experience could not be further from that. Caroline made it clear that she was on our team and would do as much as she could to give us the perfect day in spite of it all. Day of: Our day-of coordinator, Kayla, was an absolute superstar. She kept things rolling, families in line and vendors in check: our day could not have gone any smoother (at least from our perspective) and we were so grateful to have her with us! This wedding had been a year and a half in the making and we had faced so many hurdles, but everything just went perfectly. She made sure that we were taken care of and had any food or drink we could want while still being attentive to her own staff. The day flew by, but we never felt rushed by her or her team. Caroline and her team were great to work with, and I can't recommend them enough! We'll miss working with them!

We could not have been happier about choosing Vecoma as our wedding venue. Not only were they so flexible about the Covid-19 situation and us having to move our wedding date, when we did end up having the wedding they helped us arrange the ceremony and reception to ensure safe distancing while still creating a feeling of togetherness at the reception. The food was also amazing, and guests kept coming up to us during dinner talking about how good the food was compared to other weddings they had been to. I would highly recommend Vecoma for anyone looking for a beautiful outdoor wedding spot and an effortless reception.

However, all my dreams for the perfect wedding day came to fruition - down to the most minute details. This venue is simply amazing. Hidden in the city of Snellville lies the perfect location to host an indoor or outdoor ceremony. I wanted to get married outside by the arch, and was very disappointed when my fiancé recommended that we hold the ceremony indoors due to the heat (thank God I listened to him); however, Caroline was able to show me how lovely a ceremony would be indoors and even allowed us to bring in our own arch so I could still have the effect I was looking for. We ended up planning the wedding in about two weeks, but everyone who attended (in person and via Zoom) said that it looked like we had been planning this event for months. I owe all of this to Caroline, her staff, and my incredible Wedding Planner Kimberly Sands. From the moment you pull into the parking area, the remoteness and serenity of the location puts your mind at ease. During our initial meeting with Caroline and Jack, every question was answered in a positive manner and if I asked for something out of the norm, Caroline found a way to accommodate my request. During our rehearsal, my pastor was unable to attend, but Caroline and Kimberly worked together to create the vision for my day based on my wishes. I did not even have a wedding program ready yet, but somehow, they understood my desires and executed them flawlessly.On the day of our wedding, Caroline and her staff were not only attentive and responsive from the moment we arrived, they did everything within their power to make the day COMPLETELY STRESS FREE! I immediately when upstairs to get ready and every time I uttered, “ask Caroline…” or “find Caroline…” or “I need Caroline…” she magically appeared. I truly felt like a princess for the day. Kimberly and Caroline collaborated to ensure the décor, centerpieces, music, seating, lighting, you name it, was up to my specifications. When I walked through the doors to meet my future husband, I was amazed at the transformation of the room. To put it simply – I was stunned. The day went off magically, successfully, and beautifully. We did not have time to do a tasting before the wedding, but everyone commented on the exceptional taste and quality of the meal. Caroline also served as our photographer and we already have our photos back and they are truly superb.Many couples have decided to put their weddings on hold due to COVID-19 – I was one of them. Yet, Caroline and her staff helped us create a memorable occasion while staying safe and social distancing. I could go on and on about our experience at Vecoma At the Yellow River, but my recommendation is for you to give them the opportunity to make your wedding day the most incredible day of your life!

I did not even have a wedding program ready yet, but somehow, they understood my desires and executed them flawlessly.On the day of our wedding, Caroline and her staff were not only attentive and responsive from the moment we arrived, they did everything within their power to make the day COMPLETELY STRESS FREE! I immediately when upstairs to get ready and every time I uttered, “ask Caroline…” or “find Caroline…” or “I need Caroline…” she magically appeared. I truly felt like a princess for the day. Kimberly and Caroline collaborated to ensure the décor, centerpieces, music, seating, lighting, you name it, was up to my specifications. When I walked through the doors to meet my future husband, I was amazed at the transformation of the room. To put it simply – I was stunned. The day went off magically, successfully, and beautifully. We did not have time to do a tasting before the wedding, but everyone commented on the exceptional taste and quality of the meal. Caroline also served as our photographer and we already have our photos back and they are truly superb.Many couples have decided to put their weddings on hold due to COVID-19 – I was one of them. Yet, Caroline and her staff helped us create a memorable occasion while staying safe and social distancing. I could go on and on about our experience at Vecoma At the Yellow River, but my recommendation is for you to give them the opportunity to make your wedding day the most incredible day of your life!

First of all, if you are looking for a serene outdoor venue in Georgia, close to the city, this is the perfect venue for you (LOOK NO FURTHER). We love the outdoors and this venue is gorgeous and located right on the river bank. The fact that catering is through the venue made everything very simple as well. We found the pricing to be extremely reasonable through Vecoma compared to other venues we considered which were not as nice. We had the benefit of planning for over a year and had the opportunity to see the venue a few times during the year and it is beautiful year round. There are lots of special nooks and areas for pictures which we loved as well.The indoor reception room is very tastefully decorated and comfortable. It is a nice blank canvas for any kind of decor you may have in mind. Caroline, the venue owner, and all staff members are extremely professional and easy to work with both on wedding day and planning. Our wedding fell right in the middle of the pandemic which required us to reschedule from April to July. Caroline and Vecoma kindly and graciously allowed us to reschedule easily and without extra fees. They helped us do everything possible to keep our guests safe. They had a page long list of procedures they followed to ensure guest and staff safety while remaining flexible to allow us to make our day just as special. This is the perfect venue for \"coronavirus times\" because there was ample spacing outdoors for ceremony chairs to be spaced and there is a huge deck for outdoor dining and mingling/cocktail hour. Staff all wore masks, and there was hand sanitizer EVERYWHERE. I really appreciated that the venue did everything they could to keep all of our guests safe. Caroline offers day of coordination and was extremely available when we needed her for guidance throughout the process. She always returned calls promptly and was accommodating and easy to work with. We had a photographer and she even took a couple cool photos for us and provided them to us free of charge. The catering is through the venue and is wonderful. We did bbq dinner for our 4th of July wedding and it was really very tasty. Bar services were excellent as well. Like the other reviews have said, Vecoma is an absolutely beautiful venue. The photos really don't do it justice. It's lovely inside and out from the landscaping to the reception room inside. The food is also pretty good and it comes with a decent size dance floor at a pretty good price. As far as the venue itself, Vecoma is 5 stars. My reason for only giving Vecoma 2 stars is due to the experience. If you want \"stress free\" or actually want things a certain way, I'd go with somewhere else. The staff were all very nice and helpful, but I cannot say the same for the coordinator of the weddings, Caroline. Caroline was very difficult to work with, she does the \"southern charm thing\" where she pretends things are all good and fine, but she's actually a completely different way. Caroline wanted several things about the wedding to be \"her way\" from the decorations, to flowers, to how many tables were set up. She placed extra chairs out for \"social distancing\" which made no sense considering they were all on top of each other, but there was a lot of empty seats which made the ceremony look awkwardly small. My florist had to argue with her to decorate the arch (which you see decorated in so many pictures), because Caroline thinks the arch is pretty and doesn't like having flowers on it. Caroline also argued with my mother at the rehearsal, making for an awkward situation.Today, (about 3 weeks after our wedding) I found out that Caroline yelled at my florist (who was a family friend) because Caroline didn't like the way my florist was setting up the reception tables. My florist was setting them up as we discussed, using the bouquets as centerpieces, but Caroline didn't like that. Caroline even checked with me and knew what I wanted day of and yelled at my florist because she didn't like it. I was furious when I found out my younger sister had to step in to stop her from how she was treating my florist. We ended up having our centerpieces the way Caroline wanted them because my florist just said that's how she had to do it and something seemed wrong, but I didn't press the issue. In addition, Caroline followed me and my husband around everywhere. She asked at the beginning if they could put some photos on their website, turns out that meant she was going to follow us everywhere we went to do an entire photoshoot to use as advertising for the next few weeks as no one else was having a wedding due to covid. Our date was May 23rd, we looked at cancelling our wedding to avoid covid issues, but were told that we would lose all of the money we had paid (we had already paid everything early). We were given the option to reschedule for a date within 6 months or we could have an elopement and they would still take $3,000. We decided to cut our wedding size down instead to avoid losing all of the money, but to still have a small celebration. I felt that was pretty reasonable, but it was my fiancé's only frustration. All in all, the wedding was beautiful, but I can't say I enjoyed it. I was so stressed my husband had to keep telling me to relax, but I couldn't because I was just waiting for the next thing that Caroline didn't like and was going to cause and issue about. I contemplated not leaving a review because I didn't want to be rude, but after what my family finally told me a few weeks after the wedding about how Caroline acted, I decided to leave one.

Vecoma At The Yellow River is such a great venue for both ceremonies and receptions in Georgia! The venue is beautiful and everything works seamlessly before and during the big day. The venue is family-owned and operated by a mother/daughter duo who takes great care into making sure your wedding is exactly how you want it. They work closely with you through the whole process and are great about answering any questions you may have and makes sure you don't have to stress about anything. Their staff is wonderful and professional and make sure you feel special. There is a good selection of choices for their catering as well as special add-ons you can purchase at an extra cost. There is a private drive into the venue and a pretty decent sized parking lot so it feels like you and your guests can enjoy an exciting, private moment without having to worry about random pedestrians or worrying about people finding the venue or having parking issues. There is ample space in the ceremony area for a large number of guests. However, if you are planning to have an indoor reception make sure to go over seating arrangements ahead of time if you are going to have a large group. We had about 65 guests and it was pretty packed inside the reception hall. Not to mention the dance floor was only able to hold about half of that at one time. If you have more than that then they do offer overflow seating onto the deck, and if you're having your wedding during a cold season they can place large space heaters so no one gets too cold. However, if you have a large group and it's important that everyone is inside then this may not necessarily be the best venue for you. Overall, I loved this venue and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to get married in the Snellville area.

Vecoma was extremely helpful and accommodating. The venue is absolutely beautiful and spacious. FYI it looks even better than the photos, you have to go visit. Also, their food is delicious! Everyone from our wedding complimented the Italian feast. The dance floor was a great size and allowed enough room for us to do our special first dance, which randomly went viral. Thanks Vecoma for being apart of our special memories and thanks for your consistent help and impeccable communication over the months!

From rehearsal to reception bubble send off, the staff at Vecoma did a wonderful job to give my daughter the wedding she wanted. Caroline, and her staff (officiant, DJ, and entire staff of caterers and servers) were very professional and helpful. The decorations were lovely, and food delicious. Of all of the venues we saw, Vecoma was my favorite right from the start! It was the one I kept coming back to and I am so glad we were able to have our wedding there. It was such a beautiful venue! I loved the grounds, and also appreciated that in the case or rain, there were some beautiful covered options as well. The reception area was elegant and sophisticated and we were able to arrange it in a way that worked for our number of guests and the look we were going for. So glad we went with Vecoma for our wedding. It set the stage for a beautiful day!

It was raining when we arrived and I was met at our car by a staff member with a large umbrella. I also liked how they served my husband and I at our table and checked back frequently to see if we needed anything. We used also used Vecoma Photography and DJ Kirk. Venue is great! the staff is very helpful. only thing I would recommend is to make sure the menu is what you specified. we told them we do not eat pork numerous times but somehow our gravy ended up being sausage gravy instead of beef. My husband and majority of our guest were unable to eat it and we had to eat our biscuits plain. Other than that I was extremely happy with this venue and their services.

All of the staff were extremely professional and well versed in how to make the wedding and reception go without a hitch. I loved that you could use their in house DJ, contracted Officiant, and Photographer AND it was all placed on one invoice so you did not have to worry about dealing with multiple vendors and payments. I would recommend this Venue to anyone and everyone. It was affordable and relaxed. Everyone present at our Wedding and Reception could not stop talking about how beautiful this place was.

If you book this venue, I suggest asking for a copy of the policy before you sign the contract. We were able to work around everything but others may not have been able to do easily.

If you're looking for the most beautiful ceremony space, stress free planning, and helpful staff this is it! My (now) husband and I fell in love with Vecoma on our first visit. We booked a year and half in advance knowing how popular this place must be! We got married on September 16th and couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Caroline was patient, helpful, and accommodating from the very beginning. We looked at 4 venue spaces around the Atlanta area and Vecoma was the only place we found that had the most reasonably priced food and alcohol and ALL IN HOUSE-NO hoops and extra charges to have to look for. We loved that there were vendor recommendations and they were familiar with the space and how everything operated. Bloom with Jenna did our flowers and did a wonderful job. The Village Corner did our cake and it was delicious. I loved that we didn't need to spend a lot of time or money on decorations because the venue is beautiful and I didn't want to take away from the natural feel. My only recommendations would be the food: not the most glamorous (we didn't care to spend too much time worrying about the menu anyways), but so minor in the grand scheme of the day and what we remembered and what the guests loved about it all. We were well taken care of. We would recommend this venue to anybody looking for a unique and beautiful wedding experience. Thank you Vecoma for making our day EXACTLY what we wanted!!!

Vecoma at Yellow River is a wonderful place to have your wedding. We picked this venue because we really wanted the element of water at our wedding. Amazing experience!! Every bride wants her wedding day to be absolutely perfect....and Vecoma made this dream come true for me. The Venue was beautiful, every minute of the ceremony happened without a hitch, the food was delicious (my guests are still raving about how delicious it was), the photographers captured every moment so that we can cherish memories for a lifetime,..I can go on and on. Brides, checkout this venue before you go anywhere else. Vecoma makes it easy. They take care of EVERYTHING (rehearsal, set-up, food, music, drinks to include alcohol if you'd like, a photographer that makes a wedding book for you, and someone to officiate the ceremony if needed). The staff paid such meticulous attention to every detail throughout the entire process that it allowed me to focus on other things (dress, wedding colors, florist, honeymoon,....). We had the time of our lives.....Thanks Vecoma!

I loved that my husband and I had a personal waiter to check on us throughout the whole time. I really loved how secluded the venue was and that we had private parking! Highly Recommend!

From the time we visited Vecoma, the staff made us feel comfortable with addressing all of our needs. They are a so quick to respond to our questions and the venue has everything we could ask for! The outside ambiance and inside coziness is perfect for our fall wedding. So happy we chose Vecoma for our special day!

It is exclusively a wedding venue and they do almost everything for you. Caroline, the owner, and her husband were our photographers and WOW! They took 670 outstanding pictures and we got them all at no additional cost. Vecoma also provides the food and beverages. We went with the Cajun menu and it was DELICIOUS! We also used their DJ, Kirk, and thought he really kept the reception on schedule and the party dancing! The décor both inside and outside is absolutely stunning. I definitely recommend checking this venue out. Their FB page has tons of pictures you can see before you go. Three words to describe Vecoma - Beautiful, affordable, easy (I cannot stress this enough - Caroline and her team have this down pat, I didn't have to worry about anything!)

I'm am still amazed that it has been so easy for us to be taken care of with the help of the flexible staff, answering questions via email and the phone in the same day. We love that fact that Vecoma has been so understanding with my fiancé's changing schedule with Dekalb Couny Fire Recruit School. Due to the fact that I sprung a wedding on my parents so quickly, less than a year, the value for a wedding here is unbelievable! I could not have picked a better venue for my wedding at Vecoma. The venue is very affordable, beautiful and the staff goes above and beyond to make your day worry-free and perfect. Caroline Tucker is the best photographer, her work is stunning, our pictures came out beautiful and beyond my expectations. During the wedding planning process, Vecoma was very helpful with anything I had questions about, and they were very responsive to my emails. Vecoma is almost all inclusive which I really like. They have a fabulous in house DJ, wedding coordinator for the wedding day, 2 meetings before the wedding, ceremony rehearsal on site (which I will add was very quick and went smoothly because Vecoma is very organzied), great photography pricing, and the alcohol/food comes from Vecoma. Their open bar is the best choice (it saved us the most money with the amount of guests that attended the wedding). The alcohol selection is great, they have basically anything you want. The food is delicious, we had the Italian feast with a roast beef carving station. I also really liked that Vecoma has 3 options for your ceremony. You can have it outdoors alongside the river, on the covered deck, or inside by the fireplace. I was really bummed because it rained on my wedding day, so the ceremony had to be moved inside by the fireplace instead of by the river; however, looking back, I don't regret having the ceremony indoors. The lighting and decorations inside are so nice, and looked wonderful in person and in pictures. After the ceremony, it stopped raining so we were able to take some pictures outside as well. Overall, I am so impressed with Vecoma.

Vecoma was a wonderful place for our wedding! First off, it is beautiful - the river was a great backdrop for an outdoor (December 31!) ceremony. It was peaceful and quiet.The staff was wonderful. Throughout the whole process, Caroline was very helpful by allowing us to tweak the menu, being flexible about having it inside or outside,and more. She also did the photography for the wedding, and we are SUPER pleased. The pictures are beautiful. The food was delicious! We had chicken and waffles and it was GREAT. If you have a morning wedding, the brunch option is fantastic!

My wedding will be held at Vecoma early fall of 2017. I just had to let all brides who are in the process of looking for a venue know how amazing Vecoma and its staff has been through out my journey. I'm a bride on a tight budget who doesn't handle stress well. As I searched for venues I found nothing that was in my budget and fit our personalities. I came across Vecoma and fell in love! I did all of my research (stalking) on the venue read all of the amazing reviews and decided to take a tour. During my tour I was pretty much sold. The staff was super sweet, all prices were already broken down for me so I didn't have to guess and do math on if it fit my budget or not. There were so many options to make it work for us. Being that Vecoma is pretty much a one stop shop for 90% of the vendors you need for a wedding, it's been a super easy no stress journey. Even after I set my date they wer sooooo flexible with me! Vecoma reminds me of a family home. It feels like home, family, and love. They operate in excellence and are so professional. I'm so excited to have them in my corner for my big day!!!

Our daughter's July wedding at Vecoma at the Yellow River was absolutely amazing! The setting is so beautiful. It looks and feels as if the venue is in the countryside rather than in the midst of a busy suburb east of Atlanta. Our daughter's outdoor wedding ceremony on the banks of the Yellow River was lovely. For the ceremony, the bride and groom stood under an arbor with a view to the river flowing past behind it. After the ceremony, the reception was held up at Vecoma's lodge. That setting is incredible as well. Our guests all had a wonderful time eating a delicious dinner and then dancing the night away. From the moment we booked the venue, until the last moment of the reception, Caroline and her staff were kind and helpful. Vecoma was definitely the perfect choice for our daughter's wedding.

Our daughter's outdoor wedding ceremony on the banks of the Yellow River was lovely. For the ceremony, the bride and groom stood under an arbor with a view to the river flowing past behind it. After the ceremony, the reception was held up at Vecoma's lodge. That setting is incredible as well. Our guests all had a wonderful time eating a delicious dinner and then dancing the night away. From the moment we booked the venue, until the last moment of the reception, Caroline and her staff were kind and helpful. Vecoma was definitely the perfect choice for our daughter's wedding.

I can honestly say I don’t even know where to begin. I am a bride on a serious budget. I’m the type of person you would say has a “champagne taste with a beer budget.” I wanted a venue that I could realistically afford but it still had to be beautiful, romantic as well as stunning. After almost 7 months of searching and visiting venues I found the Vecoma at the Yellow River. It was everything I was looking for. Literally, from the drapery on the ceilings to the river behind the georgeous ceremony area. You can have your wedding inside or out. I love options.The décor, food, set up and breakdown is included in the price. The food is delicious! We tried the food during the food tasting we were invited to. There are plenty of options for every taste. The décor is to die for. Beautiful wall décor, and greenery. They include centerpieces if you choose or use your own. The Vecoma is just georgous all around. The outside (front and back) to the deck and the inside will take your breath away. But the absolute best part about the Vecoma is the wonderful people. I felt like I was the only bride in the world. They are so personable and answered all of my 2,365,158,265 questions with a smile and without making me feel like a bother. From the staff to the actual owners I always felt like a princess. They 100% saved our day and we forever grateful for it. If you are still searching, do yourself one of the greatest favors ever and visit The Vecoma at the Yellow River. You will not be disappointed!-Sherita

There is a reason this venue has been rated highly year after year. When I first came across Vecoma I was intrigued by the beautiful setting. Then I looked at their prices and saw that it was incredibly affordable compared to other venues in the Atlanta metro area. It was the one and only place we visited and we knew immediately it was the right place for our laid-back, vintage inspired wedding. We held our wedding here on June 19, 2016 and couldn't have been happier with the end result. Caroline and her staff consistently communicated through the whole process. They put me at ease at the 2-month planning consult. They took down notes to know what I wanted for the day of and have so much experience that they know exactly the things they need to know from overwhelmed brides to help make the big day run smoothly. The day of the wedding I felt completely at ease because the staff is spectacular. The staff helped make sure the people setting up the reception area had everything they needed, Caroline was efficient as our photographer and the staff made sure everyone had what they needed throughout the reception. Vecoma caters the reception and the food is spectacular. Many of our guests commended the food. The outdoor setting near the Yellow River is beautiful and the indoor reception area is perfectly romantic. I cannot say enough good things about this wedding venue. It has everything a couple could need to have the wedding of their dreams. I truly thank Caroline and her staff for a wonderful day we'll always remember!
