If you are looking for a place to have your wedding you need to look no further than Villa Antonio! Nestled on the sweetest private property in Hillsboro, Missouri it is beautiful at any point during the year. We were married the first weekend of January and it couldn’t have been more perfect! They offered to keep the Christmas decor up in the area we were having the ceremony and reception which we graciously accepted and had the light display outside up as well. The room had huge glass garage doors lined around three sides of the room which led to gorgeous views of the landscape outside because of the snow the night prior.From start to finish our wedding coordinator, Ashley, was above and beyond phenomenal! She took care of every single detail and was extremely easy and kind to work with. She helped curate the perfect package that worked within our budget which honestly blew us away with how generous it was. Ashley also was extremely responsive to any questions I had. When I say that she went above and beyond that is exactly what I mean. Unfortunately she came down with a horrible bug the day before our rehearsal but still made sure she was there to execute our rehearsal (masked up and keeping her distance so no one became sick) and then showed up again for the day of with same safety procedures to ensure our ceremony ran smoothly. After the ceremony the owner, Tom, stepped in and executed the rest of the evening for us flawlessly. It truly meant the world to us that the owner would care for us in such care and detail as he did. He checked in with us several times throughout the night to ensure we were doing well, checked in with our guests throughout the night as well as our vendors. We were very grateful for his kindness and for helping Ashley last minute due to unfortunate circumstances.The wait staff and bartenders were excellent as well. They made a plate for both my husband and I and brought it to our table at the beginning of dinner service. They did a phenomenal job of taking care of all our guests through the night as well with the most pleasant attitudes and smiles on their faces. The food was also delicious!As far as the venue itself, it was perfect! Our vision was really brought to life and we couldn’t have been happier! There is the sweetest cabin on the property that had a side for the bridal party and a side for the groom’s party to get ready and rest in prior to the ceremony. We felt very comfortable and loved how cute the rooms were. Because of it being a winter wedding we did have to do the ceremony and reception in the same room which meant people had to sit at their tables during the ceremony but it was still a great view with our attendance of 105 people. The day was perfect and every detail leading up to it was perfect as well! We could not sing praises enough to match how we felt about our whole experience and the day of with Villa Antonio! Truly a first class establishment and experience! Thank you Ashley, Tom, and team for making it the absolute perfect day!

Wonderful!! The venue is beautiful and Ashley, the wedding coordinator is awesome. Everything went extremely smoothly, the food was AMAZING and overall I don't think I could have picked a better venue for my wedding. I cannot say enough good things!!

Villa Antonio Winery is an amazing wedding venue! We are from out of town but have family in the area, so St. Louis was central for our guests. We booked the whole venue for a Saturday wedding in October and had Villa Antonio cater the reception and handle open bar. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the beautiful venue (they loved getting to take photos on the property), the fabulous food, and how easy and smoothly the whole affair went. Brooke and Ashley are on point – from giving us multiple virtual tours of the grounds and buildings, to frequent and well-coordinated planning sessions, these wonderful ladies, along with the whole Villa Antonio staff, made planning as easy as it can be and everything went perfectly day of. Highly recommend arranging for buses to get your guests to and from a central hotel, as the winery is a bit far from anything. But you’ll get a beautiful, remote feel only 35 minutes from downtown St. Louis with lots of nonstop flights from most major cities. Would highly recommend Villa Antonio if you want a gorgeous outdoor venue with a team that takes care of all the big ticket items.

I can't even put into words how perfect my rehearsal dinner and wedding day at Villa Antonio Winery was. Villa Antonio is a true hidden gem in Hillsboro. The venue itself is an absolutely beautiful, the food was amazing, we couldn't have asked for more reasonable pricing, and what truly helped making our wedding so perfect was the staff and our coordinator Ashley. Ashley was there every step of the way to help make any last minute decisions and was super communicative throughout the entire wedding planning process. My husband and I both agreed that while the venue was fantastic, Ashley was the real icing on the cake for us. Thank you to the whole team at Villa Antonio Winery for making our wedding so perfect.

The property is beautiful, and I always felt the staff were working hard for us. Unfortunately, during our planning period (9 months) there was a lot of turnover that left me nervous leading up to the wedding and feeling like things were changing frequently/not consistent. We met with person A when picking the venue. Loved her. After signing and putting down the 1st payment found out it was person B who would actually be working with us. Person B was fine, and this is partially my fault for not asking, but I would have loved for this to be clearer. However, the communication between these two (and throughout the process) was lackluster. Key details needed to be repeated to every person involved to keep straight, and some of our questions took longer than I would have liked to get sorted out. For example, we asked if we could use the chairs from the main building in the reception area--this took over a month to get an answer after some reminding on my part. They did let us use those chairs and at no extra cost, partially due to the miscommunications and wait. Many small things like this occured, but they added up and I had some extra nerves about it before and on the wedding day. Anyways, person B ended up leaving Villa Antonio and we were back to person A....then they hired person C who may or may not be our main contact on the big day. They did well in training and took over well so they were our main person. Then on the weekend of our wedding person C had a family emergency (I 100% get that those happen and changes are expected and appropriate) but then we had person D as our go-to on the big day. We had only met this person once or twice in passing, so it was a bit stressful. He was great, all things considered. Of note, we were a Sunday wedding, the 3rd of a 3 wedding weekend. We appreciated the Sunday discount, but also felt like we got what we paid for and like the 3rd wedding of the weekend, not our own special day. When we arrived to set up the morning of, no one there knew what they needed to open for us or when. The guys were nice though, opened the reception area we needed opened quickly and the suites for us much earlier than in the contract. I didn't love that we paid the fee to be the only event that day and then they wanted us to pay more for use of the suites more than a few hours before the start, so we were only supposed to have access 2-3 hrs before the ceremony. The bridal suite had been cleared but not cleaned well from the night before, and the fridge was not stocked with beverages as promised. No one came in later and acknowledged or apologized for this or restocked. We were too busy with getting ready and other details to complain--I do believe if I would have called our contact, person D who I really didn't know, he would have worked hard to make it right. We just honestly didn't have time to complain and didn't know him at all to really feel comfortable.The wedding and reception went well and person D worked so hard for us. Of note, did not love the food. Villa Antonio required we go with Orlando's. Lukewarm chicken not at all like the tasting. Take pics and bring a meat thermometer.After the wedding there was more confusion. I had greenery on a arbor we brought. The greenery was to be taken down by Villa (they graciously offered) that night and sent with us but they were not. They were left up the whole next day and got rained on. They would have been thrown out if I didn't call.

Recently attended a wedding here and was surprised that a place so beautiful could have such a rude, hateful staff. I was shocked at how they were treating guests and certainly wouldn’t recommend to anyone looking to have their wedding there.

EDIT to my review: The below response from the owner is insulting and completely not true! We would never be ok with minors being served and certainly wouldn’t get “hostile” with the staff for not serving them. They need some serious customer service training. My husband and I recently had our wedding at Villa Antonio and we are so disappointed with the unprofessionalism and lack of coordination we received on the day of our wedding. We are both in our 40s, only had about 80 guests and most were family. The way our guests were treated is our #1 priority and I am appalled by the harassment they received throughout the night. I contacted Villa a few days after our wedding and have been ignored.Here is a list of some of the things that transpired:Our coordinator was not helpful and hard to find while our family was decorating the reception area. She also did not put the sand and vases out for our sand ceremony with our children; she asked “where is the sand” as I was lined up waiting to walk down the aisle, ultimately it had to be cut from our ceremony and it was something she knew was important to us. One of the speakers for the ceremony music was not working, we could barely hear the music and it was obviously not tested before the start of the ceremony.The bride and groom rooms were hot, the AC couldn’t keep up. It was a hot day, and I understand that, but when asked about it, she rudely replied…”its an old cabin, nothing we can do”. Maybe bring in some fans? Or water?As soon as the wedding party was done with pictures I was alerted that the bartender was being rude to our guests and already refusing to serve people. She accused several young adults that their IDs were fake and was questioning older guests about who they were going to give their drink to and even followed our guests around to ensure they didn’t hand their drink to someone else!The bartender “carded” my 13 year old niece when she tried to order a soda! She said “I have to card everyone”. Someone in their right mind would know that a 13 year old does not have an ID nor does she need one for a soda. She also cut my brother off after 3 drinks because she said he was slurring his words. (he was completely fine) When my sister-in-law tried to step in on his behalf the bartender was EXRTREMLY rude to her and said “we have been in business for 21 years, we don’t need your kind of peoples business” and also made a rude comment about my sister-in-law’s appearance. How unprofessional and not sure what she meant by “your kind of people”.She disappeared several times throughout the night, had people standing waiting for drinks.The coordinator was very rude to a couple of guests who were sitting in the tent area and also to my sister-in-law who had our nephews out playing on the grassy area right outside the pavilion. She rudely said they couldn’t be out there and had to stay in the pavilion. We paid extra to rent out the entire venue and close it to the public – but were held to one building. They have a contract with Orlando’s catering so that was our only option on food. The food is mediocre and the staff was constantly clearing tables. They were continuously throwing everything away including pictures the guests had from the photo booth, scratch off lotto tickets we had for table favors and even our LED foam light wands that had our names and date on them. Our guests were actually going over and digging them back out of the trashcans.

I had my wedding and reception at Villa Antonio Winery on 10/23/2021. From start to finish I have been so happy with my decision choose them as my venue! Affordable, gorgeous, and full of friendly hard working people who were determined to make my wedding amazing. Ashley, my wedding coordinator, was a gift from above! She went above and beyond and made my day so special. I cannot recommend this venue enough.

Brooke was very knowledgeable and responsive to every little question/concern we had. She put us at ease at every turn. Jeff was awesome from start to finish on the day of our event. He was flexible and accommodating to our requests/needs. We had some major weather challenges and his instincts and suggestions were the right decisions to make when we were unsure what to do. We had some guests that also presented challenges and Jeff handled that with professionalism and respect. The winery staff and catering team were all friendly, professional and kind! Best venue ever! We had our dream wedding here. The property is stunning - beautiful backdrop for the ceremony and reception and perfect for wedding portraits. I loved having everything at one place. The bride and groom's rooms were very cute as well. We had the reception in their newly built pavilion and it was fantastic. Brooke answered all of our starting questions, making everything transparent. Maddy helped us with rest, ensuring our day went perfectly! Thank you!

Villa Antonio was the best place to have our wedding reception! We had planned our wedding for June 2020 and postponed it to September 2020 due to COVID. Come September, we still felt uncomfortable having a really large celebration with our families and friends, so we had a scaled-down intimate wedding with 40 of our close family members and friends at some good friends' beautiful property in Hillsboro. Finally, on Friday, April 30th, 2021, most of us were vaccinated and most everyone felt comfortable celebrating with us. All told, we had about 160 at Villa Antonio for our BELATED BELATED wedding reception. Maddy, Jeff, and Brooke were all great to work with! They were understanding and empathetic with our two postponements. We lost no money postponing! In fact, when we had to scale down our upgrades due to our budget, there was absolutely no pressure at all. Teresa and I had the night of our lives. Several of our guests told us it was one of the most fun weddings they'd ever attended. The food from Orlando's was great. The drinks were cold. The music was pumping. The dancefloor was kicking. Maddy, Jeff, and Brooke are all great communicators and respond in a very timely manner to any requests or concerns. They are flexible, and never pushy. We priced a lot of other places a bit closer to home (St. Louis City), but the price was right at Villa Antonio. Teresa and I strongly encourage you to meet the team and explore the venue and BOOK IT, because I'm sure they're filling up fast. PS, they brew their own beer now and it's GOOD, especially the Irish Red. Enjoy! - Matt and Teresa

We are super happy we chose to get married at Villa Antonio. Maddy, Jeff and Brooke were all helpful at every step of the way. They will work with your budget as well, having different tiered packages depending on your needs and budget. We didn’t feel nickel and dimed here, a ton was included with our top tier package. We were first supposed to have our wedding at another venue, but due to Covid, we weren’t able to. There was a lot of drama and negativity surrounding that experience, but as soon as we toured Villa Antonio and met the staff, we knew it would be an entirely different. We got honest, straightforward answers to our questions, and pretty quick responses to our emails. There were a couple of hiccups the day of the wedding due to other vendors/ family members being disorganized or confused, but Jeff knew what he was doing and things got worked out. I never knew there was an issue until afterwards, which I appreciated on my wedding day! The venue itself really has great “bones” and since the prices were more reasonable than a lot of venues, we were able to spend more on food and decor and really make our dream wedding happen. The bartender whose name I can’t remember was also so lovely, cheerful and friendly!We highly recommend Villa Antonio for couples who want a “no drama” experience with their wedding, up front pricing, in a quiet area, with beautiful scenery.

We had a large, \"covid cancelled\" international wedding planned and decided to come back to where we were engaged in the vineyards to have a short, sweet & intimate ceremony. I don't think we could have had any better of a day. We planned in 16 days and could not have done so without the help of Jeff & Brooke. They are outstanding and so caring in what they do. A very good friend of mine just got married here on Saturday, June 27th, 2020. My 2 kids were in her wedding (and were adorable!) Because of that, I was a little more involved than a typical guest. We had our wedding 10/12/19, which I guess happen to be homecoming also. while there were lots if kids there getting pictures the staff did an amazing job at telling them that our wedding was a priority. They made sure nobody was in our pictures and that we were taking care of on top of everything else! We highly recommend!!!

We got married here Aug. 2019. We worked with Maddy and Jeff through the whole process and these two were so simple to communicate with! He was constantly checking in on the day of to make sure we had everything we needed. He even brought his own side by side from home to help some of our guests with limited mobility down the hillside to and from our ceremony. Not to mention he helped my family make sure all of our decorations looked perfect. Also, It rained most of the day prior to our ceremony and the Villa Antonio team worked diligently to make sure everything stayed dry and remained comfortable for our guests.In addition to great staff, booking with Villa ensures you will have a great caterer too. Orlando's put on a great spread and had wonderful staff too to help start our reception off right. Overall, Villa offers incredible affordability without having to compromise on wedding luxuries. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I had always wanted a picturesque outdoor wedding and this winery with the vineyards in bloom, the serene pond, and lovely landscaping delivered. My husband and I got married at Villa Antonio on 10/6/18, the venue is beautiful and the food is really good! Maddy is a pleasure to work with as well as the rest of the staff. We are so happy with how our wedding day went, everything turned out to be a dream come true. The only complaints I have is that they charge $200 just to use one of their arbors, the service charge is 18% for buffet style (I think that's crazy). Overall, we were very impressed with Villa Antonio and would recommend to anyone searching for a wedding venue.

My husband and I were in love with Villa Antonio from our first visit. The vineyard, the outdoor seating, the pond, the food, the wine, it was all so elegant and yet relaxed. We married in early August and had both the ceremony and reception at Villa Antonio. We must have had a thousand questions in the weeks before the wedding, and Maddy, Villa Antonio's event coordinator, was always very responsive and quick to help us out. We cannot stress enough how friendly and helpful the entire staff was before and especially on the big day. Everything went so well - our wedding guests are still telling us how much fun they had - and even how great the food was! We could not be happier with how everything went, and we are so grateful to everyone at Villa Antonio for making our big day such a success!

I got married 3/25/17 at the winery. It poured during our ceremony and the winery had a beautiful spot indoors where we got married in front of a fireplace which still made it beautiful and perfect. I was so impressed with the staff and Maddy was a rockstar making sure the day went smoothly. We planned our wedding in less than three months and the winery made it such a smooth process. The venue is beautiful and you don't need to add much for a classy, elegant event!

My husband and I got married at Villa in October of 2014. I knew I wanted a fall winery wedding and a venue that needed to accommodate up to 300 guests. I fell in love with the gorgeous surroundings at Villa Antonio. I loved that Donna, the coordinator, had pretty much everything organized and the day of I didn't have to stress about anything. They were even able to prepare me a gluten free meal as I have Celiac Disease which was a huge relief and I didn't feel sick at all! It is a bit hard to find so we used signs at each turn between the interstate and winery. There ceremony times are later in the day so we prepared for a 5:30ish ceremony which usually means taking pictures beforehand. They were pretty strict on the bar hours. Our ceremony ended up finishing much quicker than expected (probably the minister rushing because of how cold it was) and we ended up having to pay for an extra half hour of bar time just to carry the event until the time we planned. The only real complaint I have is that during the reception apparently one of the propane heaters went out and half of the tent was cold and had a gas odor. This was not resolved in a timely matter. I did not notice personally at the time but found out later that night after talking to my parents and guests. Other than that we really enjoyed our experience with Villa Antonio and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a picturesque winery setting!

All of our guests even commented how great the whole evening was. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful the winery is. The food was amazing and the two wedding planners were so awesome! We are so glad we found this special venue! \rThe price was also very good compared to the other wineries in the saint louis area.

This is a beautiful place to get married but get ready to spend a ton of money and don't assume everything is included in the standard price. My family was particularly upset they only allow the bar to stay open for 3 hours but if you want it to stay open for an additional amount of time you can pay another 5 to 6 hundred dollars for a little bit of time. Everyone who attended the wedding had a fabulous time though and continually commented on how beautiful everything was

There are some really great things that I can say about this place. First and foremost the place was GORGEOUS! We just got married in the fall and the colors, the trees, everything. The winery is just stunning. The food, amazing! There are a lot of choices to choose from. Their wine is also very good. I am not a big wine drinker and I still liked their wine. Also, most of the staff was super helpful. The bartenders and servers were absolutely amazing! The team also set up all of our centerpieces and a lot of the decorations because I had done them myself. It is a picture perfect, delicious place. However there are some things I can say about it that aren't so great. First, the wedding coordinater is not the most welcoming or friendly at times. At the beginning we were very impressed that she was so straight forward and seemed like she knew how to get the job done. And she was great and very friendly at the rehearsal dinner. She was not always prompt to return emails either. Most of the time on average it took a day or two to respond. Sometimes longer. On the night of our wedding, we had a lot of guest complaining that she was rude, short and not that friendly. They do warn you in advance that the music has to stay at a certain level because the owners live on site. But stated that it can still be pretty loud. They were constantly telling our DJs to turn the music down, while our guest at the outer tables were complaining that they could barely hear some of the father daughter dance, mother son music. They do instruct you that you have to be off the premises at a certain time. And once that time comes, they are very strict and not so friendly about it. The other thing that I was not fond of, is no matter if your guest are under 21 they still have to pay for the whole open bar price. You have to have 20 or more guest that are under age in order to get a discounted price for them for the bar. They're choices for open bar were very good though. Overall, the place is gorgeous and the bartenders and serving staff were great. Food and alcohol deleicious. The florist they have on site was very helpful. I wish I could have delt with her more. If you can get past the attitude that we recieved at times and don't mind your music quieter then I would recommend this place.

Everyone at the winery went above and beyond to make our day so special. As soon as we arrived we were given food and drinks had our own area to get ready in. I didn't have to worry about anything. They took care of setting everything and taking everything down. I had meetings to pick out all our linens and to go over every detail and nothing cost extra. Everything was included in the price. I can not stress enough how perfect they made our big day. Many of our friends have gone after our wedding just to go get lunch the food is amazing!!! They made our wedding so much fun and so special!

The coordinator here, Donna, was wonderful from the begining. She helped me plan my long-distance wedding and I always trusted that things would go well. It was absolutely beautiful and the staff there were so prepared and had everything under control that my husband and I were not bothered once with details. The staff even surprised us as soon as the ceremony was finished and we were taking pictures with bringing down wine and beer for the entire wedding party. In doing this they didn't bother us with asking what they wanted; instead that asked family members what we likes and then just brought it down.

Brooke Weyand (Director of Sales) I have been a part of the Villa Antonio Winery family for over 10 years. There are times that I still have to pinch myself in disbelief that I get to come to such a beautiful place with such great people... for work!! My favorite thing about what I do? I don't know that I can pick, but one of the top is meeting new people every day and having the opportunity to hear their love story. I love working one on one with couples to help plan their most perfect day! My #1 goal is to ensure the planning process is as stress free (and budget friendly!) as possible!
