Bridget Balish(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-06-2021 All of the planning/communication was a little rough in the beginning. As soon as Tina took over as manager a few months before our wedding, things went AMAZING! She was incredibly responsive, went above and beyond to meet all of our requests and make sure our day went amazing. Everything was reasonably priced, the food and staff were great, and the whole night went off without any issues. The hall was beautiful too! I highly recommend working with Tina :) if she had been there from the beginning, wedding planning would have been a breeze! Reviewed on 19-06-2021

Harpaul Samaroo(groom)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-09-2018 Please save yourself from renting/reserving this Venue for your special day or any occasions. I hosted my wedding reception here at this venue on September 2nd 2018. I paid cash for this venue and was promised so many things and when it came down to the big day nothing went as promised or even as stated in the contract. I initially made a down payment and then Tony Radan kept calling every 2 weeks asking for more money even though the agreement was to have it all paid 2 weeks before the event. He went on about how he has to pay his workers and they are tight on money that month and such. He was so desperate for the cash that he would call and say if you can bring $2000 today by 4pm I will deduct $1500 off of your initial price. All of a sudden it started sounding sketchy. I ended up doing it and then he started calling again asking for more money. Don't trust this guy or his family they are thieves. Now the big day is here first thing when I arrived the hall was extremely dirty we were told that they had a crew that would clean up throughout the night after any events we dropped off center pieces for the tables I was promised 55-60 tables come to find out 49 were set out. Was told the other tables will be set out which never were. Next our head table was supposed to be on stage, they placed it on the dance floor. When I asked to have it moved the father started cursing and saying are you serious that's a lot of work. I said never mind I will move the 3 tables myself. Later on when my guest started arriving and the food arrived Tony promised we would have plates, silverware, napkins, etc. at the buffet line for our guest. I get a call in the middle of taking pictures with my wife saying hey your guest don't have plates. I had one of my guest at the hall talk to him to bring out the plates and silverware he promised. It was embarrassing and he continued to ruin the night even more. My wife ended up getting injured on the dance floor because there was liquid spilled and not a crew in sight to clean up in these types of situations. She ended up dislocating her knee and had to be taken to the ER around 11pm. Per my contract I had the venue until 1am. Immediately after my departure for the ER Tony Radan, his father, and his brother started telling my guest to get out the party is over and they started using vulgar language towards them. I ended up having to call him from the ER because my guest were upset and telling him a contract is a contract and my Wife and I would like our guest to continue the party because everything was going to be ok here. He finally was like ok 1am is fine. At the end of the night as my family started cleaning up they noticed things were missing. Tony's father had hid some of the beer and wine that was brought in, they never returned the cake stand that was rented, also there was some dessert that never made it to the dessert table. I have been trying to contact Tony for 5 days now and he will not return a call or a message. I can go on an on about how Tony Radan and his family ruined our reception night but I will leave this here and hope that any future couples and families are aware of this man and his family's wrongdoings. Grace U(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-07-2017 We were SO LUCKY to book the American-Croatian Lodge for our reception. My husband and I had a short engagement and had major trouble finding an available venue, and we ended up getting married on a Friday in order to have the Main Ballroom (we had 250 guests). It was just gorgeous with the wall lights, and we had a great amount of space... most of all, I love the HUGE dance floor!Tony was simply the BEST site coordinator. He was so professional and eager to accommodate us. The dinner was family style, and we selected several dishes from their menu to be served. Our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the food and the wait staff! I love the \"Old World\" charm here, and each staff person really treats you like family. Simply the BEST experience! The staff was awesome to work with and knew exactly what we wanted. Tony was incredible and helped us every step of the way. The food was delicious, especially the strudel! When we arrived to the hall for our reception, the place looked absolutely beautiful. The lighting and set up was perfect. All of our guests had a great time. This is a night we will remember forever. We would definitely recommend this place to everyone! Thank you! Reviewed on 24-11-2017

Rachael Ritt(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-06-2017 The American-Croatian Lodge was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding reception. It very comfortably held our 285 guests. It has been recently updated, and the hall is gorgeous. Tony is a pleasure to work with, and he is extremely accommodating!! The reception looked flawless, with the high ceilings and beautiful custom back-lighting they offer. I received numerous compliments on the food and beauty of the venue. I 100% would recommend this venue for a wedding reception. Reviewed on 26-06-2017
Marta M(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-09-2015 Highly recommend! We had our wedding reception in the large ballroom in 2015. Originally we were expecting 800 guests, but over 850 showed up! The flexible staff was able to adjust the space and add food and seating without compromising anyone's experience. The adjustments went so smoothly I didn't even know about it until after the reception was over! Overall amazing food (family style is the way to go), helpful staff, and tons of elegant space. The stage and dance floor are ideal for having live music with enthusiastic dancers. Since the renovation last year, I have returned for multiple weddings and am even more impressed with the elegance and neutral palate of the large ballroom. It is a truly transformable space. Carolann Carran(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-05-2016 We had our wedding reception in the west end hall this past weekend and everything was fantastic. The food was AMAZING!! They even boxed up the leftovers for us to take home at the end of the night. We chose the basic open bar option. They allowed us to bring in our own alcohol if we wanted something specific that was not included in the basic bar. Our bartender was the greatest! The staff was very friendly and professional! Our whole experience working with the American-Croatian Lodge was fantastic! We will definately recommend this place to our friends and family! Reviewed on 20-05-2016

L Ferron(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-08-2012 The food was absolutely amazing! Working with them was a great experience. I made a small change to the number of chairs to one table less than a week before the wedding and the change was made prior to me walking into the hall. We had plenty of food left over and they boxed it all up before we were ready to leave. Absolutely no complaints. Reviewed on 18-08-2012
Katie Brinovec(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-01-1970 We looked around at all of the halls east of Cleveland that would fit 250+. We understood why both of our sisters chose the Croatian Lodge. They have the best food, the nicest room and the BEST possible prices. They include the alcohol and everything in the base cost and it is less than everywhere else, but again the food is the best. They are so easy to get a hold of, too. Reviewed on 10-08-2012
Anita Jeras(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-07-2011 I have been to multiple receptions at the Croatian Lodge and also decided to use it for my wedding. The food is homestyle where guests may choose to eat as much or as little as they want. They do an excellent job on the appetizers. The main ballroom itself it just beautiful. And overall the cost makes this location ideal for 300+ guests. My only complaint is that they do not have a good selection for vegetarians. Reviewed on 11-08-2011

it was big and open and everyone in the room could see main events such as speeches or cake cutting (other places we had looked at were l shaped and not all guests could see at one time). Reviewed on 10-05-2010
Stephanie Maruschak(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-06-2007 The ambiance was perfect. We had the main ballroom and there are white Christmas lights that are strung all the way around the room. The ceiling is a high ceiling as well so you don't feel cramped and can easily see the entire room. The dance floor was plenty large enough for us. Also, we very much enjoyed the food, it was wonderful. The food there is served family style so you get to eat as much as you'd like and any leftovers are given to the parents to take home. The manager, Malita, is old school European and you'll get that type of service from start to finish.. They're professional and get the job done, but aren't sugar coated like some brides may prefer.
