Simple Country Charm for Your Perfect Wedding Day!
Vintage Gardens Rustic Events – featuring wedding events is nestled into the farmlands of Ridgefield, Washington, as our rustic venue features not only a big red barn, flowers galore, charming vintage decor, a beautiful grass field surrounded by woods, a canopy of majestic oak trees, but also two options for your ceremony in either our current colorful English Garden, or our lush forest ceremony garden, the "Hidden Garden" located deep in our woods (available for summer 2025).
Our gardens are surrounded by acres of woods and natural fields of hay, complete with views of Mt Hood and Mt St Helens for breathtaking reminders of our location in the Pacific Northwest. As indicated by our name, much of our venue decorations are vintage items which adds to our cozy country charm.
Vintage Gardens is the creative dream of Tarrie Miller, who brought her artistic vision into reality by transforming one of their horse paddocks into an event garden using the big red barn as a rustic backdrop. She planted beautifully designed English gardens and utilized authentic vintage decorations throughout. She is now transforming a "Hidden Garden" deep in her lush green forest to showcase the natural beauty of her majestic White Oak Trees, native to this area. She and her family will become your ultimate event hosts and take personal pride in ensuring that your special day allows you to relax and enjoy the countryside. Our gardens are open during the summer months of June through early October. Now booking for Summer 2024 & 2025.

The photo opportunities are endless, I am in love with all our photos with all the variety of backdrops! Our guests were in awe of the venue, we had so many compliments. The flow of the ceremony and the reception and the buffet worked seamlessly. Tarrie was very communicative, easy to work with and clear with her expectations - plus you couldn't beat the price! Antoinette Holt(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-08-2022 My husband and I were recommended this venue by a close family friend. We came to the owner Tarrie hoping for a last minute availability after having a terrible experience with another venue we had originally booked at(don’t go to Empress Estates). Finding Vintage Gardens and it’s owner, Tarrie, lifted my hopes again of having an amazing wedding and gave us the best experience ever. The Venue: It is stunning. We had our wedding on August 5th and flowers were blooming everywhere. We had gone back and forth to look at the venue after booking and every time, Tarrie was out in her garden, tending to all the flowers on the property. She has made the most beautiful sanctuary and the entire property radiates love, which is what you want on such a special day. At one point during my wedding I looked into the field area and saw all the kids in attendance running and dancing around freely and it filled my heart with so much joy. Decor: The barn is a gem. The tables provided are wood and in amazing condition. You do not need table clothes, only for the desert table and buffet table. The chairs provided are antique and rustic. It is so beautiful and we honestly did not use much to decorate with. The whole venue, including the area is pretty self decorated.Bathrooms: There are two fancy porta potty’s. We had 100 guests and the bathrooms provided were enough. There is a hand wash station as well.Kitchen: there is a little kichenette with plenty of prep area and two refridgerators. My caterer had no issue. The owner: Tarrie is amazing and such a sweet woman. She loves her place and just asks that you do as well. Tarrie had answered all my questions, any time of day and was willing to let me come back anytime I needed a visual refresher! She made having a wedding so effortless and let me tell you, she is prepared! After we toured the first time, she sent measurements of tables, recommendations for florists, makeup artists, dj, and almost anything you can think of. She has all the info and makes it so easy for you. Parking: There is a great parking system in place and it really is easy to follow. It’s right on the property and easily accessible for all guests. I really don’t know if I’m forgetting anything but my husband and I had the most incredible day. It was the wedding of our dreams and we are just overwhelmed by the beauty and grace Tarrie and Vintage Gardens extended to us and our loved ones. We are forever grateful! Reviewed on 15-08-2022
Kathy Schmidt(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-08-2022 The venue is beautiful. Love the flowers and vintage dressing rooms. The host, is easy to work with. Angela Prindle(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-08-2022 I am the mother-in-law of the bride and groom. We secured the Vintage Gardens for their wedding the first week in August. Tarrie has been a pleasure to work with from start to finish. I was helping my daughter-in-law plan her wedding from Nevada and she lives in Washington. I arrived that Monday, and Tarrie got me in for a walk-through of the venue on Tuesday. She accommodated all of my inquiries and questions. She is a wealth of knowledge of vendors in the area, and we certainly leaned on her guidance heavily throughout the planning process. Tarrie maintains a beautiful venue, with incredible blooming flowers throughout. There are spacious open areas, covered seating, and a forested area that make day-of photos extra special. Her attention to detail throughout the venue is timeless. She adds to all of the extra amenities with her special touch, and it is evident in all the rooms and gathering places. The venue is a one-of-a-kind gem. This venue comes with my highest recommendations. Reviewed on 15-08-2022
Addie Perkins(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-07-2022 We had our dream wedding at The Vintage Gardens on 7/30/22. We specifically picked this venue because of how pretty it is without any outside decor. We looked at several venues in the early stages of our wedding planning that would have required us to decorate from the ground up and it just seemed so overwhelming to us. The owner at the Vintage Gardens has done such an amazing job of keeping the venue so beautiful. There are fresh, colorful flowers every direction that you look and everything is so wonderfully maintained. We could have showed up with none of our own decor and it still would have been beautiful. Tarrie (the owner) was also amazing to work with leading up to our wedding as well as the day of. She makes all of her rules very clear from the start so there is never any confusion and she was quick to answer any question that did have. I would absolutely recommend the vintage gardens to anyone who is looking for an outdoor venue. Reviewed on 08-08-2022

Vintage Gardens is a beautiful, rustic, barn style venue with pretty scenery all around. Tarrie was such a wonderful person to meet and an incredible help with planning our wedding. Whitney Vonada(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-08-2021 Overall a great venue. We got many compliments on how gorgeous it is as soon as people walked through the gates. PROS:-Beautiful venue- flowers and greenery galore, lots of detail spent on decor. Really gorgeous! -Lots of photography options- trees, field, garden, barn, etc. -Ability to choose own vendors. Do it up, or DIY- it’s all allowed. -Clean porta potties -Secluded-Great price point-Venue owner was very responsive to questions-Owner was proactive with possible issues-Preferred vendor list as a starting point was helpful -Provided great ideas for DIY options-Allowed multiple visits to the venue-Areas to get ready were super cute-Old truck photo booth area is adorable- loved the flowers in the bed. -Chairs and tables were set up.-Well-lit with charming string lights. -Kitchen, bar, and dressing rooms were super helpful. CONS: -Little communication with my hired coordinator- owner did not participate in a tour of the venue with the coordinator that we had mutually scheduled weeks in advance, did not tie in to discuss rules and restrictions, placement of items, expectations, etc. This put yet another stress on me during wedding planning trying to remember all details to relay. -I awoke on my first morning as a newlywed to texts that had us come back right away to move barrels and pick up a pop up tent left behind. Owner was not present during final walkthrough to see these items were taken care of by my team the night before, and thus became our emergency the next morning.-Lack of guidance during setup -Strict start and end times (to the minute)-Owner was not present during the event or after. Some sort of check in, as stated there would be in the contract, would have been fantastic customer service.-Some equipment was not available as stated on tours or was replaced which put a kink in planned decor and logistics. An itemized list of what is included versus what is for show during the tours would be helpful.-Had last minute to-dos come up (IE needing our own pop up tent for DJ and tables for the DJ) which added stress.-No trash disposal available- must haul it out-No hand wash station for porta potties- we had to build one among COVID concerns -Back-to-back scheduling- no buffered time between appointments for site visits and the rehearsal meant we were rushed out or intruding on others. In the end, it’s an absolutely stunning venue. The grounds are kept beautifully to where if you really wanted little decor or flowers you could get away with it. The price is hard to beat and the venue looks incredible, but hiring itemized services (IE coordinator, cleaning, trash removal, setup and takedown, hand wash station, etc.) does add up in time, complexity, and cost. The owner was overall great to work with. More guidance and communication (especially with my coordinator) the day-of or on a scheduled tour would have been appreciated and helped all parties involved. Reviewed on 03-09-2021

She was very helpful and up-front about everything we needed to take care of. the terms of using her venue certainly were never ambigous. She provided us a list of vendors that she's worked with in the past to help us with the next steps of planning. About a month before the wedding she sent a list of answers to commonly asked questions, which helped us plan for some last-minute decoration decisions. If anything came up she was quick to respond to text, email, or phone call, and she was proactive in contacting us to discuss any questions or concerns. The venue needed very little extra decoration as it was gorgeous. The tables and chairs under the tent were already set up for us when we arrived, so all we needed to do was set up the benches for the ceremony and add our decorations. We only did minimal decoration because the grounds are kept so beautiful with flowers. She has bride and groom rooms that were nice to get ready in on-site as well. She has connections with a set up crew and cleaning service that were really helpful on our wedding day. We loved our wedding day but one caution I might add is there seemed to be a laundry list of things we “could not do” that popped up weeks/days before the wedding that we had not previously been told about. Tarrie was lovely to work with but seemed to get more strict as the months went on and mentioned a ton about insurance and liability that is understandable but also made her nitpicky about our setup and all the things we couldn’t do. It is picturesque no matter where you look. If you are considering venues, this one is definitely worth the look and will likely be your favorite. Reviewed on 12-08-2017
There are three main things that are important to Tarrie: family, friends and having a great party! Being the daughter of longstanding restaurant owners, Tarrie grew up learning how to be a good hostess by making sure everyone has a good time. It's no wonder she would combine two of her main passions, Gardening & Antiques to build a unique, inviting country venue in hopes that people would have many great parties & celebrate some of their happiest moments at Vintage Gardens. She & her husband Trey put their heart & soul into making this venue welcoming & country comfortable just for you!
