Vintage Magnolia House: 1800's historic home
Welcome to The Vintage Magnolia House and thank you for considering us for your event! The Vintage Magnolia House is an 1800’s historic home that has been newly renovated for private events and is located in downtown New Roads, Louisiana near the beautiful False River and conveniently nestled between Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Natchez. The vision for VMH was inspired from the breathtaking magical front and back garden and southern style grand front porch that is overlooking beautiful landscaping and a fountain. The porch is outfitted with a comfortable swing and patio seating that are just perfect for that cup of morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Inside, VMH is beautifully decorated with vintage style chandelier lighting, custom florals, and a wide open hallway with original hardwood floors that provides an inviting, grand, southern atmosphere. VMH also offers state of the art indoor/outdoor surround sound, outdoor portable air conditioning to keep you comfortable in the back garden 40’ high rise tent peaking up to 21' in the center, as well as a custom built covered stage for your choice of band or DJ. Our Carriage House, connecting to the garden / patio, is perfect to accommodate hors d’oeuvres or lunch / dinner for your party. With affordability in mind, we offer flexibility to bring in your own caterer or alcohol that meets your individual budget requirements. VMH encourages you to stay in comfort and style in one of our 4 bedroom / bathroom suites all privately located upstairs and beautifully decorated in a quaint vintage yet shabby chic style. Plan to be pampered in our hair salon and nail spa which are available for you to bring in your own personal stylist or hired in via VMH to keep your day stress free and unforgettable. We even offer photography services to capture every detail of your day, all in the beauty of VMH. With luxury in mind, we are here for you to feel pampered from the moment you arrive until departure! We cater to individuals and groups for a variety of event options. While we have the bride and her bridal party in mind, we welcome you to celebrate your retirement, bridal / baby showers, girl's get a way, garden tea party, cocktail party, business events, and more. We are the venue for you!

Huge Vintage Magnolia House fan right here! In the midst of planning our September 2022 wedding, VMH popped up on our radar and checked all of our venue wishes: outdoor dancing, twinkling lights, stage for live music, indoor seating, accessibility, new and unique space right in the heart of New Roads. Working with Heather was a treat as she has a great eye and excellent taste as you can see by her decor throughout the VMH and outdoor landscaping. My bridal party was able to spend the night before our wedding in one of the comfortable rooms upstairs and head down in the morning to grab coffee and greet my getting ready crew. VMH is such a beaut and an excellent choice for any bride. Staff and owners are fun and easy to work with. An excellent and memorable experience overall.

The VMH is simply charming! My daughter and I met Heather in the planning/renovating stages of this beautiful venue and immediately fell in love with her vision. We booked the VMH for a late September wedding reception and the night could not have been more perfect. Heather and staff were amazing to work with. We took full advantage of all the amenities- we rented two rooms the night before the wedding, slept in comfort and elegant decor, woke to coffee, later champagne and brunch, and a full day of pampering and relaxing in luxury with family and friends! The entire home is warm and welcoming from the front porch to the carriage house to the magical lighted garden. The addition of the tent and stage just completed the entire space and is the perfect set up. Call for a tour today. I know you will just love all that you see! Thanks VMH for a magical night and for making my daughter’s wedding celebration one to remember!

We chose this magical venue for my daughter n law and sons couples baby shower. We could not have asked for a better place to celebrate and honor the Mom and Dad to be. The entire home has so much charm, beauty and character to make every event one that every guest will remember. The outdoor facility is absolutely perfect with the outdoor lighting, tent , the stage, and incredible carriage house. Everything we needed was available and the Kitchen was absolutely perfect!!! The staff and owners are so personable and attentive to make sure that everything goes well!! I highly recommend The Vintage Magnolia House!

There are not enough stars or words to describe this venue. We used it for my daughter's and her bridesmaids to have a last slumber party the night before her wedding. The 4 bedrooms are beautifully decorated and every detail is covered. We then used the downstairs the day of her wedding to get ready. The salon was perfect for hair and makeup. The kitchen was perfect for brunch and lunch. I haven't received her pictures yet, but I am sure the PJ pictures and first look with her dad and bridesmaids will be perfect. The owners were so easy to work with. I highly recommend you use it for your wedding, shower, or pampering day.
