Sabaa M(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-02-2023 Venue is nice but expect the service to be as bad as it can possibly be. Extremely important directions which were given both in writing and verbally multiple times and confirmed again on the wedding day were completely ignored and when asked to fix was told by staff that “they didn’t want to do that” and it would be “inconvenient for them” Venue coordinator was unreachable to help provide a solution and still has not responded days later. Extremely incompetent staff and management. Hotel rooms themselves are old and dingy so if for some reason you do choose to hold your event recommend having a room block at one of the many other nice hotels nearby. Reviewed on 20-02-2023

Steph Bosse(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-10-2022 From the moment we first saw Vintage Villas, we knew this was where we would celebrate our love. Having accommodations onsite was one of the biggest selling points for us. The convenience of everything being right on the same property was so helpful for us and for our guests. Megan did an outstanding job being our sales manager. She was so patient and so kind with every question and every request I sent her way in our 2 years of planning. Daya went above and beyond to make sure our guests staying on site were comfortable and had everything they needed during their stay. She even called our family back when she found the blanket my distraught 2 year old nephew left behind. Sam was of day of coordinator and boy did she work hard to ensure everything was perfect for us in the month leading up to our big day and on the day itself. She truly crushed it! Everything about this venue is magical. The food was honestly the best food I’ve ever had at an event. Everything was to die for. We had such a hard time making our selections after our tasting because everything was amazing, so we got it all and it was the best decision. Our guests RAVED over how delicious everything they ate was. Having a buffet style dinner worried me, because I’ve experienced food not being hot by the time the last table is served. This was certainly not the case here. We didn’t realize they packed us to go plates but it was an amazing surprise to find them in the fridge the next day. The bartenders were also spectacular. Honestly the entire team here is amazing. I do have some advice for those considering hiring a day of coordinator through Vintage Villas. The only thing I could say that could have been better was the time the day of coordinator arrives day of. We had a 5:30pm wedding and the coordinator services began at 4pm. Although our plan was well communicated and carried out it was tough for the vendors that started setting up at 11am. The 4pm start time was communicated to me but I truly didn’t realize what this would be like for the vendors setting up. I had communicated everything I was expecting from the various vendors to them and the day of coordinator but without specific instructions there were some hiccups. Thankfully I had a wonderful friend that stepped in and got the job done but it was something I never considered and wished I would have. Honestly this was my mistake, and it truly didn't end up being a big deal. Just make sure everyone is on the same page. Otherwise our wedding was perfect, and we couldn’t have pulled it off without our amazing team at Vintage Villas. We appreciate all your hard work to make sure our day was magical. Thank you endlessly! Reviewed on 30-01-2023

Carrie Claunch(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-05-2022 Can't say enough rave reviews about this venue. Everything was perfect about it. The Arbor and Travis Room was the perfect size for a 70 guest wedding. We worked with Samantha Overton and she was stellar at making our event flawless. It was so enjoyable and stress free as they took care of all the details. The view is spectacular and perfect for pictures. Then the food was so good as well. Everyone commented on how this was one of their favorite weddings. BUT...when our cake did not get delivered because of a mix up in dates at our baker, Vintage Villas stepped up and purchased a cake at HEB grocery that was comparable, brought it back and put coordinating flowers on it and we had a perfect cake for photos. This venue took care of us from start to finish and made our wedding absolutely memorable. And, I have to say that the price is right also. Reviewed on 13-06-2022

Stacy Hillin(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-04-2022 Vintage Villas was everything I dreamed of and more. I got SO many compliments the day of our wedding, and afterwards— the gazebo site is just stunning. So many people were in love with the venue and even a few engaged couples in attendance to our wedding were wanting to have their weddings there! The food was also amazing— the sweet venue manager packed us up leftovers and we loved eating those the next few days. Several guests also told me they missed the food because it was so good and wished they could have it again! The bar staff was so friendly and the drinks were great. The bridal suite is spacious (plenty of room for 8 bridesmaids plus moms and grandmas!) and the onsite hotel made it so easy for our family. My only two complaints were that there isn’t an elevator in the hotel (and 3 flights of steep stairs can be hard for older family members) and that I found out after the fact you can see into the bridal getting ready room at night. Not a big deal usually, but I changed in there into a different dress for the reception and found out after the fact that people outside could see me in there (that is not the case during the day). Literally everything else was perfection and if I could relive that day every day, I would! Reviewed on 08-06-2022
Amy Albright(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-04-2022 I am so so happy that we discovered Vintage Villas. We searched high and low between 7 states and finally landed here! Immediately, I fell in love with the view, but I quickly learned that this venue was so much more than that. The team is absolutely fantastic. Megan is an absolute boss. She is so thorough, responsive, professional, and supportive. I can’t tell you how many times I went back and forth about things, how many questions I had (some of which had answers already provided to them), and times where I likely wasn’t the easiest to work with. However, not once did Megan make me feel like I was trouble during planning. Day of, she and Alexandria were a dream. We cannot thank them enough. The catering team was fantastic as well. Service was great and everyone raved about the food (both dinner and next day brunch). We got so many “this was the best food/drink I’ve ever had at a wedding” comments. We also booked at the actual Villas for our wedding, and it was the best decision ever. Aaron was especially of great help, coordinating our stay, breakfast, and holding our items in their office. In terms of ease, the process was so painless and I loved having the catering and bar in-house. Less to worry about! The food is AMAZING. We chose the lakeside menu with the VV salad, steak, Parm potatoes, and veggie medley. I bet half the guests came up to say it was delicious “not just for wedding food, but overall”! The included cheese display during cocktail hour was beautiful. Everyone’s favorite though? The Mac and cheese bar! SO. GOOD. We chose the house brand bar and didn’t regret it. The set up was easy as they move all the furniture and place all the tableware. We even brought our own napkins and they used them, folding them fancy for us. Megan answered all my questions and was always quick to reply to emails. The venue was beautiful, I have never been to a wedding where so many people took photos of the view! I can’t believe the price is so reasonable. We also loved having family stay on site. The hotel is a bit pricey, but the convenience was wonderful. On the day of the wedding it poured down rain for most of the day! Megan and the staff at VV gave the weather every opportunity to clear so that we could proceed with the wedding happening outdoors at the Gazebo---that included putting the chairs out, then putting them back in, then back out again! We were so blessed! It literally cleared just in time for the ceremony and cocktail hour to be outside! I know many venues that would have forced us to go with Plan B indoors but they did not! Many thanks to Luis and others that used a blower to dry the area and kept the chairs dry for guests!!! So grateful! Megan kept everything flowing perfectly all evening! The food was amazing--received so many compliments. Thanks to Thomas, the GM who made sure our stay was pleasant and helped make arrangements for family staying as well! The people at Vintage Villa's, including Megan our coordinator, were incredibly understanding of the time crunch and made the transition to their venue very easy. On top of that, the place is breathtaking! Both ceremony and reception sites they offer are beautiful. The Arbor and Travis room were perfect for our smaller wedding with an amazing view of Lake Travis in both the ceremony and reception site. On the wedding day, Megan emits a feeling of calmness and is there to help with absolutely anything. While walking towards the aisle, my veil piece popped out of my hair, and she was there to place it in again. During the ceremony, a blackberry fell on my dress and before it could stain, she was there with a wet napkin and helped get the fruit juce off of it. I was a very easy going bride and the fact that this venue had location, reception, tables, chairs, linens, food and everything else all included made it that more enticing. The gazebo overlooks the lake which is amazing! Unfortunately our guests were facing the sun so you might consider having guests wear sunglasses, but it made for amazing photos! I loved how close everything was so it felt more intimate. The food guys, was AMAZING. I went to a tasting and I was like okay this is okay but the day of the wedding we decided on the prime rib and it was so good, with mashed potatoes. No regrets! Honestly the venue itself and the food had people talking about our wedding up until now and that was almost 5 months ago. Great venue, staff, feel, food, vibe loved it all! My only bit of advice is if you go with a wedding planner onsite get a feel for the different personalities and pick one that really suits you. Oh, and my husband and I were not told that the hotel closes at a certain point and you need a code to get back into your room in the wee hours of the night (we went out to celebrate afterwards) so make sure you get that code because we were locked out for a little while. We had the brunch options and were floored. Our tasting was less than spectacular, so I was admittedly somewhat nervous, but it was all great and our guests seemed to really enjoy it. The blueberry stuffed French toast is pure magic.-The waitstaff was absolutely incredible. We went with the buffet option and were not expecting to be waited on but they brought us our meals. This is not a venue where the bride and groom go without eating! Further, they packed up some leftovers and a bottle of champagne for us and put it in the room for the night.-The complementary hotel room for the night was excellent. It is a super nice hotel. We had a great view and really enjoyed our stay.-Erika Tucker was our sales manager and she really worked with us to build the wedding we wanted. We had a smaller group (~20 people) and a small budget. She was so accommodating and I am so happy with the way everything turned out.Overall, whether you are planning a small wedding or a large one, I think Vintage Villas is an excellent option. Kristine Yang(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-09-2019 We booked Vintage Villas as our ceremony, reception and hotel room block site, and we think it is a great experience. We loved waterfront setting for our wedding, and that's how we come across the idea of Lake Travis. We visited VV in April and it is gorgeous. However, our wedding is in September, so the grass is a little bit yellow for some portion of the lawn, but at least the ceremony lawn is all green. We only booked the gazebo but Katie is kind enough to let us use the smaller ceremony site for our first look. That definitely made great photos! We also loved the food there. We participated in tasting once and then we go ahead with the menu. From what I heard from the guests, they all love the food. The services there is also impeccable. When Groom and me got into our suite late and exhausted that night, we found them packed some food for us. That made us like them even more. Reviewed on 11-09-2019

She navigated the direction of everyone expertly day of, was the right amount of forceful to ensure everyone/everything was in the right place, while also not offending anyone. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to get married at Vintage Villas. The venue enough I can't say enough about, the simple, but elegant decor combined with the big beautiful Texas sky, and Lake Travis stretched out before us made our wedding the most picturesque I've been too, though I am somewhat biased... Katie B was our onsite organizer. She was punctual and easy to work with. She happily answered all of our questions and gave suggestions where we needed them. We rented a villa for our guests which everyone found charming and comfortable. One of the best things about renting a villa was we had a common area for our guests after hours where we stayed up all night and enjoyed each other’s company stress free because we were only annoying our own people in the villa. Uber and local food delivery services were very present by the villa which was so nice!My bridal suite was honestly adorable. My girls and I spend a wonderful afternoon getting ready with champagne, mimosas, coffee and water. The staff was so sweet and accommodating to anything we needed. All of their employees are so kind. As far as the ceremony and reception set up goes they made sure everything was ready for our vendors early and there was no stress. Vintage villas catering is totally amazing. Everyone was blown away by the food set up and taste. Our servers were wonderful and the bartender was so nice! When all was said and done Joe and I feel like not a penny was wasted. Rose Jones(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-06-2019 Wedding is All about details and they are not good at it. Our wedding was on June 1st, 2019. In summary, If you want control of your event, turn around. This venue is not for you. If you plan to hire a wedding planner for all the details, then I guess that doesn't matter, because the planner will take care of it for you.If you don't demand much and all you want is the view and no high expectations, you are fine here. You should also know that the ratings on the knot are very well controlled. I wrote a review before the wedding to provide my planning experience with VV only to realize that it's been removed.I can confirm that the food and the view at Vintage Villas are spectacular. But for that price, you can customize whatever menu you want at just about any place. It is a very photogenic place especially if you are blessed with the weather. The service people were extremely good and I loved how they handled our guests. We thanked them personally after the reception for such a smooth service. However, Vintage Villas has some serious issues with incompetence in managing event. Honestly, I don't know how they survive in the wedding industry given how unorganized they are. Here are some points to address before the wedding:- We never received the finalized planning form before the wedding, or on the wedding or after the wedding.- We arrived to find a broken sound system.- No information was provided for rehearsal. And when we arrived at the venue for the first time for rehearsal, we were told that we have two complimentary nights... We were never informed. This could have saved us a lot of time but whatever.- Our sales manager, Katie, was absent during the week we were staying in town. We never met her.Now for the on-site wedding:- There is no changing room other than your hotel room and it is inconvenient. First look or bridal shots are impossible due to this factor.- Our coordinator, Erika, was okay. But she totally disappeared for recessional so after our send off, things were a little awkward and we were totally baffled.- Talking to Katie through emails, though she is very responsive, is like talking to a wall. Quantity is never better than quality. We had so much trouble understanding her throughout the planning, I always had to ask in many different ways to really understand what she meant. This behavior indicated there will be lots of missing details and there were. It was so stressful.- They did a great job on our customized menu, and food was excellent, but as usual, they missed some details such as using specific food ingredients, and we were not happy about it.Overall, things went smoothly. But Would I pick Vintage Villas had I known all these details I wrote above? Nope. My instinct to walk away in the middle of planning was right. That I did not take the action is my only regret. There are so many things that can go wrong in a wedding. Planning one of the most important events in life is already a big deal but if this can be less stressful, that'd be a blessing. Anyhow, it's all done. I hope my two cents can help some people out there. Reviewed on 03-06-2019

Amanda Whitaker(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-02-2019 It was a gorgeous view but it was upsetting they treated us like B class bride and groom. We had reserved the room maybe 6-8 months prior to Wedding. We asked for our wedding party to have rooms close together like in same building. Well that did not happen. Along with making sure all our friends and family were in completely opposites building. We we're showed a room in the beginning of our tour with a full kitchen and L shaped couch for our wedding guests and family. We asked to get that same room we're promised and yet got the Unrenovated room and no kitchen and a tiny couch. We had a lot of decor I prepped for 2 years prior to Wedding, I had reserved the room an extra 2 days prior to the wedding to prep easier. Let's just say because we we did not get the room we we're promised the preparation for it was a nightmare. Causing fights amoung the family. They also had the bride and groom suite they Never told us to use and get ready in. Even tho it was open no one knew, nor did I because of the choas trying to get ready. We had our wedding on a budget, as most couples Try to afford they're Wedding we got the smaller reception room for Wedding not the larger 300 person one. Because honestly it's too big for a more private personal wedding with 50 people. I think because of this and the fact we didn't buy an open bar, instead just champagne. They definitely put us last on their priority list and all my family and guests could tell saying We got gipped because of the room they put us in while my family on the other building had all these new accommodations.... On top of it to mk things worse they had a conveniention there tons of people. They were obviously not there for Wedding but they for sure got first priority at this hotel. Pretty sure those people got what they asked for, most likely because they had huge numbers. But my wedding to them it felt like we were not good enough for them and boy did they make sure we knew with how they treated us, we we're so upset how things were handled we checked out a day earlier than we had reserved. This is also because my family didn't want to stay any longer there as well since we were put so far away from everyone else. My elderly family in there 90s, had no baggage caddy or elevators for them. That in self tells you they need to rethink there hotel. Reviewed on 14-03-2019
Brittainie Zinsmeyer(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-02-2019 We just had our wedding at Vintage Villas on Saturday! It turned out so beautiful...All of our guests could not stop complimenting the view and facilities. Despite some concern over the fact we couldn't do a tasting before booking the venue, the food was AMAZING!!! Probably some of the best I have ever had. Tara ended up being our representative with the Villas and I cannot explain how wonderful she was. She made sure to accommodate parking for a few of our guests who had trouble walking from the Villa, checked in with me consistently, put up with some of my last minute decoration changes, etc. She went above and beyond. For example, my fiance and some of his friends are big guys (former collegiate linemen) and we were concerned about them being comfortable on the chairs for dinner. She made sure to find beautiful chairs that did not make them feel out of place and never singled anyone out. It was just a testament to how much she wanted our day to be wonderful. The only downfall is that the service charge does add a bit to the cost of the venue. However, it obviously was not a deal breaker, because I still give 5/5 & chose the place. It turned out so great and they really helped bring our wedding vision to life. I would highly recommend if you are looking to have a gorgeous venue that overlooks Lake Travis. Reviewed on 18-02-2019

I actually referred the bride to VV knowing she would be well taken care of. From the beginning, Katie Brinkman and Tara Weghorst as well as the entire sales team were extraordinarily helpful. Quick to respond to questions and went above and beyond to set the bride at ease. The tasting was delicious and fun and the food at the wedding was fantastic! Tara was our day of coordinator and she was always a step ahead taking care of things. Such a pleasure working with her! Of course the views are out of this world, but the staff really makes this place special. I was also very impressed by the banquet team, everything they did was with a smile. Devika Malhotra(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-10-2017 I like to start with the positives. The actual venue is great! No complaints there, in fact if we were only rating the venue and not the service, we would give it a 5 star. So here come the reasons for 3 stars...Here is what was lacking for us on our special day:- My husband and all the groomsmen, my father, the ring bearer, our flower girl, and our moms, none of them got their flowers for their roles in the ceremony. We took a great deal of effort to arrange and pay for beautiful flowers that we had coordinated with our florist, who was fantastic! We know that she left everything for us because, at the end of the event all the flowers were located by the people in our wedding who helped out. I ended up freezing my husband's boutonniere for sentimental reasons after it was found that night, as he never got to wear it on our wedding day. This is up to the venue's day-of-coordinator to make sure that something as important as flowers on their property, on a wedding day are located, and if they couldn't find it, at least inquire with their staff as to where the florist has left them. They were clearly not that hard to find as they were picked up in mins by our family and friends when they were gathering our things together at the end of the night.2nd thing that was disappointing was the service we received as related to our send-off. We had a beautiful sparkler send-off. We had written to them back and forth about the specifications of what size works best for their venue. After doing all this, on our wedding night, 1 hour before our time for our reception was up, the day-of-coordinator provided by them asks my husband and I, as to where the sparklers are (they were near the guest table, as we could see ourselves, and had no idea of before) and then this is the most unfortunate thing... Our wedding reception was cut short by 1 hour (an hour we paid for, needless to say) because according to the coordinator, apparently they would take about 30 mins to light up coz they were too big (even tho we got the size within what we had discussed with them)...and if we didn't make the send-off happen right away, there might be no time for one!? Thus we promptly and abruptly requested that our guests proceed for our send-off, and then 5 mins later the same coordinator is telling us its time to go coz they lit up just fine in 2 mins...?!@?We couldn't help but feel that this was highly unfair. We felt like we were tricked into leaving early, and they just wanted us to call it a night. We would have loved to have spent that time that we had originally allocated to dance and mingle with our guests, and to also have our last dance, which we had planned, but could never have because of this apparent problem they created in the end. Sorry if this review is too long, but part of the reason it has taken us so long to get to is because, we were so disappointed with the service on our wedding day, and this was hard to write as a day like this can never be brought back. We would have loved to write more positive things as we loved the actual venue. We feel it is important that others are aware of such issues that we faced with their service. Despite all these obstacles, my husband and I made the most of the day as we were not going to let their poor service ruin the most important day of our lives. We hope our review helps those of you who are looking forward to planning the biggest day of your lives. Thanks. Reviewed on 07-12-2018

Tara Nair(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-10-2018 I'll start with the good: Vintage Villas is a gorgeous venue with unbelievable lake views and sunsets. Their hotel staff and servers are all very kind and helpful. The villas each have their own Texas charm and decor. The bad: The VV management and sales team were awful to work with. They were all terrible communicators, and our event manager, Tara, was astoundingly unhelpful. VV was the opposite of all the other vendors we worked with for our 215 guest wedding-- they made us feel like all they cared about was our money (and the GM even said that directly to me on the phone). We started working with VV a year ahead of our October 27th 2018 wedding date. Our original event manager left midway after working there only a year (probably for the better). We went 2 months with no point of contact, and every time I tried to get in touch with another sales manager, my phone calls and messages went unanswered. The few times I did get a response in that period, the reply was always \"I don't know, I'll have to ask my GM\". At one point I was wondering what the sales managers DID know, because I've lost track of the number of times I was told one thing only to have it change. Additionally, it was extremely unnerving talking to the GM (Thomas) on the phone. I voiced my concern to him about a room booking situation (we wanted to buyout all three villas so that our guests could use all the rooms on the property). Instead of listening and addressing my actual concern, he launched into a 20 minute lecture about how he has to make a profit, how the venue has to make money, how they don't make any money in the off-season times when people aren't getting married, therefore it fell to us to pay more, because \"WE NEED TO MAKE A PROFIT\". On top of that, he was extremely tone-deaf when it came to addressing the fact that we were having an Indian wedding. He actually said \" oh yeah, we have a ton of ethnic events here\" and blabbed on and on about how I could ask an Indian restaurant in their vendor list about how great VV was. He told me their event manager was Iranian, as if that it was an answer to any of the other concerns I had. He kept bringing up VV's 20 year reputation-- Here's a thought: I don't care about your reputation if my CURRENT EXPERIENCE with you is bad. Overall, he was one of those people who uses the same lines over and over, whether or not they are a valid response to what you've asked. He did not listen or care about the customer he was serving (who was paying his company over $50k). We ended up having to pay the cost of a full property buyout in order to use the rooms, but without the terms that a buyout entails (we only got it for the that evening instead of all day).ADVICE to future couples:-Leave communication to e-mail so that you have EVERYTHING IN WRITING. Otherwise, be prepared to be told one thing to your face/over the phone, and then something else via e-mail/in a contract.- HIRE A GREAT WEDDING PLANNER. I would have lost my mind if I didn't have a planner. She fought the hardest battles for me, and was on the ball for the many times that our VV contact fell short. -Be aware that they want you to use their catering but don't allow you to taste your exact menu. You just go to a general tasting. We got outside catering since VV doesn't make Indian food, yet they also charged us an extra per person fee for having an outside caterer.TLDR: VV made for a beautiful wedding venue, but getting there was stressful and $$$! We had the \"Agave\" menu and upgraded our bar service. We received so many compliments about the food! All of our guests mentioned how delicious the food was and how some of them wanted to go for seconds! The signature salad is a must! If you schedule a tasting, you must have the beef tenderloin and the chicken stuffed with prosciutto. Megan, our day-off coordinator, was super sweet and very professional at all times. She exceeded my expectations and we were extremely pleased with everything she did for us. Luis is one of the staff members...if you get a chance, say hi to him, be friendly, and he will do anything for you. You can tell he loves his job. Overall I was extremely satisfied with the service, the venue, the staff and of course the food! Food and music is usually what most people remember so you know you will not go wrong with the food from Vintage Villas. We had leftover food that the staff packed and took to our room. Sheila W.(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-03-2017 My husband and I wanted a small wedding and we were excited when we found that Vintage Villas had a great view and sectioned reception room to allow our ceremony to be as intimate as possible. That all changed a few weeks leading to our wedding day...I cannot express how disappointed I was in the vintage villas, especially Salien Maknojia. I was basically scammed at the beginning. No one mentioned that the venue was going to be under renovation during my first visit. No one mentioned it even after we had signed the papers and made 2 payments. When they finally told us about the renovation, they down played the entire thing, talking about changing bathroom tiles and adding lights. We found out 3 weeks before the wedding that the entire layout of the reception venue had been changed!!!! They had broken down walls and structures. I basically had to throw a fit to get them to fulfill the terms of my agreements. They initially wanted us to to pay for the drapery to re-section the venue. I had to confront them on their BS . I was never a \"bridezilla\" but I eventually had to turn into one to have our wedding venue look like what we were sold . Reviewed on 25-07-2017

Sunny Li(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-10-2017 We wanted to book this venue, really. That's why although the reception site is still under construction, although we haven't tried out the food for the menu we prefer, we decided to trust them and go ahead and get into a contract. Then after waiting for several days, when we finally get to discuss about the details, they bring up that there's a minimum spend requirement for the date we picked, which is $7000 more than our spend estimate. The explanation is that for Saturday in that month, they're confident that they can make more money for 200 or more guest in that venue rather than serving us with only 100 guest, and only thing they can do is to find the other day with lower minimum. Prior to that, they didn't mention anything about minimum, and it's not in any of the brochure we got either. This is definitely not a surprise we're expecting, after we're so far into the process, after we stopped searching other venues and that we start envisioning what our wedding would be like there thinking this is happening. They did apologize over phone. But this is a terrible experience for us. Please make sure you ask about the minimum before you proceed with them. Reviewed on 25-02-2017

Gabrielle Aufiero(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-08-2016 Vintage Villas is positively perfect. I couldn’t have chosen a more beautiful or well-managed establishment for my summer wedding. My fiancé and I first visited Vintage Villas in December. When we drove onto the property we immediately noticed its inherent beauty. It has an absolutely gorgeous lake view. In addition the grounds well kept, and both wedding venues are warm and inviting. Part of the beauty of Vintage Villas is the simplicity of the venues. Each one features hardwood floors and neutral walls and décor. The Event Center, where we had our wedding, also incorporates chandeliers and tulle/twinkle lights hanging from wooden beams. The outdoor space includes a patio with simple white iron furniture, trees wrapped in twinkle lights, and a gazebo covered in vines. Ultimately—because the venue was so neutral and beautiful on its own—we didn’t have to bring in much décor or worry about our chosen colors clashing with the existing hues. The staff at Vintage Villas is also wonderful. To help create, manage, and implement your event, each couple is assigned a Wedding Coordinator. We were blessed to have been assigned to Alex Middlebrook. She was phenomenal! Throughout the planning process Alex answered all of our questions and concerns within 48 hours via email. She helped us develop a layout for our tables, create a timeline for the evening’s important events, and ensure that we received the most food and drink options for our contracted price. In addition, she was able to secure a hotel suite for us—which we accessed at 10:00AM on the day of our wedding. Thanks to the staff and gorgeous location, our wedding day was like living in a dream in which all of your needs and wants are met before you even realize that you have any. Our ceremony was breathtaking and our wedding coordinator ensured that it ran smoothly so that we could focus on each other and the momentous occasion. Our reception was fun, well organized, and well staffed. Throughout and after the event, guests raved about the food that Vintage Villas provided. They were also impressed by the Vintage Villas s’mores bar, which we included as a late night snack! When it came time for our sendoff, our coordinator made sure that every guest had a lit sparkler. The evening officially ended when my husband and I arrived in our hotel suite, which had been stocked with three takeout containers of food from the event (including an assortment of our wedding cake flavors) and a bottle of champagne with two glasses. We highly recommend Vintage Villas to any couple. They are welcoming, well organized, and have incredible facilities and grounds. For us, all of our dreams came true here. I am sure they will do the same for many couples to come. Reviewed on 10-09-2016

We had an outdoor wedding in the gazebo gardens at Vintage Villas in May, and it was everything we hoped it would be and more. VV is a gorgeous venue, the staff are wonderful, and we feel we got an excellent value for the cost. We worked with Shelby in the beginning, and then we worked with Jenna on all the wedding details and on coordination the day of. Both ladies were extremely friendly, courteous, responsive, and reliable. We had excellent communication throughout, and they went above and beyond to help us make our dream a reality. I asked a million questions throughout, and they were very patient and informative. There was one misunderstanding about the beverage charges which was quickly cleared up once i pointed out a discrepancy in two different price quotes. Also, the day of the wedding there was a table missing where there was supposed to be one on the setup diagram, but the staff quickly fixed the issue once it was pointed out. Out of all the million wedding details, I could not believe those were the only issue that came up with the venue, and I was impressed with how professionally they resolved these issues. Working with VV was one of the most delightful and least stressful parts of the wedding, and I am so glad we went with them! Thank you for being such an important part of our special day! Valerie Webb(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-08-2016 I cannot say enough about how great it was to have our wedding at Vintage Villas. Ours was a small wedding held at the Arbor and the reception was in the Travis Room. Being small, the planning and details were easy to work out and our planner (Jenna) was great from beginning to end. We had so much fun going to the tastings, which were like mini date nights, complete with champagne. We ended up choosing the Regale menu, with the Prime Rib and Mahi Mahi and our guests raved about the food, especially the Prime Rib (based on the tastings and our weding, I would say this is their specialty). There was rain coming in on our wedding day and VV let us hold off making the call on whether to move inside until the very last minute. Since the Arbor is covered, we were able to hold the ceremony outside with the rain at just a light sprinkle. It was perfect and the views cannot be beat anywhere in Austin. It was so great having our guests stay with us at the Villas. We were able to continue the party a little longer that night and all have breakfast together the next morning. And the staff was great from our very first visit right through breakfast. Definately recommend this venue to any bride. Reviewed on 29-08-2016
Shirley Kim(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-04-2016 Vintage Villas is a beautiful place to get married but I don't recommend this place if you're looking for a more cost efficient venue. This venue likes to charge for every little thing (such as cake stand, easel, etc) and double book weddings in one day so you'll barely have any time to do any setting up for your wedding or to take pictures before guests start arriving. Despite the beautiful wedding I had, I'm giving Vintage Villas 2 stars b/c of some negative experiences I had with them during my wedding planning process and my wedding day. I originally had a wedding coordinator named Jenna. She was so nice and I really liked her until I saw her again at the bridal extravaganza. I went up to her to ask some questions while I was there. She of course didn't recognize me or knew that she was my wedding coordinator. That didn't bother me but what bothered me was that she acted as if I was being so bothersome for asking her questions and had a bad attitude. Although I was the only customer there at the time, she acted as if she just didn't want to help out at all. A few months later, I found out that my coordinator changed to someone else named Alex. When I met Alex, I was so glad she became the new coordinator. I've had a very good first encounter with her and every time I spoke with her up until my wedding, she was so sweet and helpful. After the wedding was done, I was shocked to hear from my bridesmaids that Alex was being rude to them and wasn't helping out with anything or even seemed like she wanted to help when the most help was needed from her. My bridesmaids described Alex as rude and most of the wedding, nowhere to be found and showed up to my wedding an hour later than promised time. It was very disappointing to hear what was really happening behind the scenes. Reviewed on 27-06-2016
Ariann Evans(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-05-2016 My husband and I were married here on May 21, 2016, and Vintage Villas went above and beyond for our special day! Our wedding coordinator, Alex, was incredibly responsive throughout the entire planning process, which was helpful because I was planning from 8 hours away! She truly cared about my desires. I was pretty laid-back as a bride (or at least I'd like to think so!), but she was insistent on making sure I had what I wanted.I saved tons of money on a florist, because the landscape and view for our outdoor wedding were spot-on. We were looking for something small and intimate, so we booked the Arbor which was recently renovated and perfect for exchanging our vows! The Travis Room has an INCREDIBLE view, so book that over any of the other rooms. The food is AMAZING, so you can rest assured in that area. I also believe the cost is fair. I looked at NUMEROUS places, and chose VV for the sights it offered and affordability. I gave VV 4/5 stars for a couple of reasons. First, the price I just mentioned included MANY options, one of which was access to the sound system in the Travis Room. We had a morning ceremony and a brunch reception. We did not hire a DJ because of how low-key our event was, so we were counting on that sound system. I was also clear about this with the wedding coordinator. On the day of the wedding, we used a family member's portable speaker for the ceremony and it is a good thing we had it because none of the staff could figure out how to work the sound system in the Travis Room! The portable speaker was all we had throughout the entire reception for all of the traditional dances and background music. I was totally not a bridezilla about it, because I never intended the reception to be a wild party (we rented a party bus that night to go out downtown, so that was the real party!), but I do find it a bit odd that we paid for an amenity that we did not receive. Alex, our wedding coordinator, was incredibly apologetic and I do not blame her or hold any resentment about it! I just find it strange that it wasn't made a priority since I was clear about needing the sound system. Oh well, my wedding day was AMAZING and that was just a small hiccup. There was also miscommunication about the breakfast the next day, but she rectified it the best she could. Alex was really great! Second, the hotel could probably use a little bit of updating. I found it incredibly charming and my husband and I had the best room on the whole property having rented out the entire East Texas Villa. We had the suite on the third floor which was the perfect place to get ready for the wedding. However, there are some stains around the building and on the walls. I think one of my guests had water stains on their ceiling or something, and another had a shower that didn't drain so the water built up around their feet. My mother stayed in the handicap room in the South Texas Villa, and she said the room wasn't actually very accommodating for her disability. I never actually saw it myself, so I cannot further comment. They were also annoyed the television was broken for their entire stay, but I'm glad it was because it forced them to get out and see Austin! The breakfast is also very simple, nothing to write home about. All in all, this was the right spot for my wedding and I do not regret it one bit. We almost eloped and, instead, gave in to family pressures to have the wedding. I am so glad we traveled in from New Orleans to have it here. Reviewed on 25-06-2016

From the wedding center to the staff to the hotel, Vintage Villas was a wonderful venue for my reception. Throughout the planning process, the wedding specialist that was assigned to me was always just an email or phone call away. It didn't matter if my wedding was 11 months away, she would still respond within 24 hours. Amy was my wedding specialist, and she was wonderful! I could not be more pleased with her work. She's down-to-earth and sweet, but also sharp and smart. She made me feel comfortable enough to voice my concerns or issues but also displayed confidence that she could manage my event. Actually this was true of all of Vintage Villas's staff from the wedding center staff to the hotel staff, and it is exactly what you want when you're planning a big event like a wedding. Also, the venue and boutique hotel were very accommodating. I had several special requests and Vintage Villas went out of their way to fulfill each and every request, which included adding an extra guest an hour before a tasting, a customized menu, rearranging guests rooms from the hotel block, providing gluten-free meals for some guests, etc. On the day of the wedding, the wedding center was set up perfectly, the bartenders and servers were friendly, and the food was delicious! Our guests raved about the beautiful views, the different rooms (sunset and lakeview rooms), the food, the bartenders, etc. At the end of the night, like other reviewers, my husband and I found boxes of hors d'oeuvres, dinner, cake, and a bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room.
