I had my wedding in the Halifax restaurant inside of the W. It is a good size for a wedding for about 85 guests. Run dont walk to this wedding venue. It was absolutely amazing. The food was so good. The drinks and appetizers didnt stop coming. The staff were amazing. The views outside were beautiful. It was an absolutely perfect evening. The one minus of this place is parking is not included for guests, but there is a lot right outside of the W with valet parking but for a fee. But other than that my guests have been raving about this place. Reviewed on 22-06-2023

My husband and I always went to their boozy brunch and loved the city chic atmosphere and the staff was always friendly and attentive. We asked to speak with the events manager and she was AMAZING to work with. Olivia and Meg were such pleasures and accommodated my every request in a timely manner or gave another option they were so flexible!! The staff the day of my wedding were so attentive and clean and just such a delight to have that all of my guests commented on how lovely everyone was and how attentive they were. Angelica Caluori(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-09-2021 We booked the W on April 30, 2021 for our September 18th wedding after our original venue cancelled on me. Working with the W was incredibly easy, & our contact, Ona, made everything we asked for happen, including specially ordering specific mixers through their distributor to make our signature drinks. We were able to have a tasting a month before our big day and had such a tough time choosing our menu because everything was so delicious. Having a hotel wedding was the perfect option for us since we were able to stay the night before, get ready onsite, and have our ceremony, reception, & after party in one place. We are so thankful to have avoided the stress of traveling throughout the day!The night of our wedding, Ona ran up and down between my suite and the ballroom to retrieve anything I needed and ensured my bouquet and decor were in safe keeping. Our lead server, Rosie, also made sure we were incredibly well taken care of and that we always had food during cocktail hour and drinks the whole night. We cannot recommend the W enough! Alicia Marcus(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-09-2018 We love this hotel and stay there frequently even though we live in the area. My husband proposed in this hotel. It was almost a foregone conclusion that we would marry in this hotel. Its a very popular hotel for weddings because its beautiful, convenient, reasonably priced, completely full service, close to EWR and one stop on the train from NYC. The view of New York City must be seen to be believed, certainly better than almost any view from within the city.Janell was our event planner and she was fantastic. She would respond promptly to our emails and phone calls at most any hour of the day or night. She was very organized and helped us deal with all of the rooms including some really pesky last minute (literally) changes. She helped us with some of the printing and she let us ship packages to her direct from Etsy or wherever. Her in-depth knowledge though of how to make the W work efficiently though was where she really came into her own. She knew how to time everything so the toasts and the musical breaks and the cake cutting and the food ordering and the times to move people into the ceremony and then into the reception and how long the florists would need to transfer the flowers and everything was where her expertise really shone through. She worked with our incredibly complex spreadsheets and our ever changing seating plans. She knew all the vendors and their relationships were smooth and respectful. While the festivities were going on she decorated our room with balloons and pictures from our engagement photos. Also of mention were the excellent servers especially Monique who is a consummate professional in every way. She was so attentive and so sweet and caring and always checking up on us and ensuring everything was going as planned. We really would've rather had her in the ceremony to hold our hands and tell us everything was going to work out fine there too.We love this hotel in general but for our wedding it was perfect. Amanda Fulmer(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-11-2016 W Hoboken wasn't exactly what we thought we wanted for our wedding venue, but it ended up being EVERYTHING we could have wanted and dreamed of! From the day we booked with them, the staff was professional, helpful, and it felt as though they were putting our event at the top of their list. Monica was fantastic to work with. I have heard nightmare stories about dealing with venues and I am happy to say I had zero issues at the W. From booking, to communicating via email for a little less than a year, room blocks, to setting up final tastings, the rehearsal, day of, brunch... everything was done exactly how we wanted and was perfection! Everyone at the W made it seamless. Thank you Monica and the W for making our special day the best day of our lives! Reviewed on 21-01-2017
lex cariello(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-02-2016 I had no idea where I wanted to get married--we live on the West Coast and most of our family is on the East Coast. I looked around NJ at the \"usual suspects\" and decided to look at the W. We met with Christina and she was honest, patient, comforting, and didn't over-sell. Walking through the W I suddenly imagined all my friends and family hanging out for a weekend and got so excited! We then began to work with Monica, who is also THE BEST! I cannot tell you how responsive she was. As soon as I emailed anyone at the W I had a reply almost immediately. Monica is kind, gently opinionated, totally calm, and generally great to talk to. I was nervous about the process of rooms--but Julia and Betty were super helpful doing the blocks and everything. When it came time for the actual weekend, THE SERVICE WAS SOOOO GOOD! Not kidding, it felt like everyone who worked there was in on making our weekend special. They treated us so well, with little treats in our room, friendly hello's, bringing stuff to our room...it was truly awesome. Our biggest compliments were on the cocktail party food (\"Spot on\" \"A+\" \"Amazing\" \"The best\"--real quotes). Also, we were able to transform the space. I was worried about the room but people ended up saying it looked like a greenhouse--my advice, play up the windows! I can't say enough about my experience at the W. I am so thankful to everyone and would (and wish I could) do it all exactly the same! Reviewed on 09-03-2016

Everyone at the W went above and beyond to make our wedding come to life. From Christina to Monica to Chef Julian and their teams, these individuals were the reason we had the most amazing time not only on our special day but throughout the whole planning process. Whenever we had questions or concerns, Monica and Christina were right there to walk us through everything. Chef Julian customized the menu to our liking and created dishes you would never expect to see at a wedding. Meredith R(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-08-2013 (Please note our pricing reference is for a Friday night wedding, per person before tax and services). \r\rAs we just reached our 1 year wedding anniversary, we want to review the W more thoroughly for the most memorable weekend of our life! Our wedding at the W Hoboken last August 2013 was everything we could have ever dreamed of and more. Far beyond the event details, the whole stay was incredibly luxurious and we felt like they went out of their way to accommodate every single little need we may have had. Our guests loved their stay and still talk about what a wonderful visit it was for them as well. The area views are so gorgeous, the amenities are endless, and there could not have been a more \"all inclusive\" way to host our guests. We knew that hosting our guests in NYC would create too many options and places to go. Hosting them in Hoboken provided the spectacular views of NYC, the easy access in/out of the city, easy options for our rehearsal dinner, a perfect hotel breakfast option at Zylo, and a very close atmosphere for the weekend. For days before and after the wedding we were bumping into our guests up on Washington, nearby at Little Town, around the hotel, working out along the water, everywhere. It was such a joy to see all of our loved ones so close for so many days. It really brought everyone together, which is exactly what the whole weekend was about. \r\r \r \rOn the big day we were both able to schedule spa time at Bliss, eat from the tasty room service options while getting ready, we had every extra accessory needed in our rooms from mirrors to makeup chairs, even the black cars reserved at the entry for our photo needs before the nearby ceremony. Once the evening began everything about it was SO MUCH FUN! Every detail was covered, each member of the staff was so very attentive, the guests were well taken care of, the space looked flawless and it was everything exactly the way we wanted. Showing that the night was such a blast, our guests were not ready to stop once the wedding ended and thankfully we had the Living Room Lounge downstairs to keep the night going for hours more. By the time the night really came to a close, our items were so graciously moved up to our suite and all of our details (serving set, flutes, etc) were flawlessly back with our belongings. \r\r \rWe cannot say enough about how WONDERFUL our W Wedding was. They made all the difference! \r \r \rIf there was one thing we would have done any differently, we would have remembered to ask to have a sampler of all of our amazing wedding food brought up to our room at the close of the night. We didn't eat too much during the celebration, and boy were we hungry later on.\r\rLastly, the actual reception space has a very clean look to it (though a bit corporate feeling as well). For us that didn't matter as we made up for it with table decor and crazy fun guests, but if you're set on spectacular interior spaces this may not be the most appropriate selection. For us the service, hospitality and \"all inclusive\" type of experience for guests is what we were looking to accomplish. Reviewed on 09-09-2014
Lindsey Brink(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-09-2013 My husband and I looked all around NYC and Northern NJ for our reception site. We were looking for something modern with a metropolitan vibe that was fairly turn-key. From the minute we met with the staff at W Hoboken we were sold.\rThe prices were comparable to others in the area and they were willing to work with us. We were able to negotiate a bit on price, head count (we were only expecting 110 vs their 150 min) and added in plenty of food. One watch out - they charge a set service fee which is taxable. \r\rFirst, let me say the service was fantastic. Vivian (the head planner) is AMAZING! Totally on top of EVERYTHING yet calm, warm, reassuring…cannot say enough about her. I am admittedly a bit of a control freak and she put me completely at ease. I felt 100% confident that she would ensure a flawless experience and she delivered. For Vivian and her team, alone, I would recommend the W Hoboken. Note to other brides – based on my experience I would question whether an additional day-of planner is really worth it.\r\rThe evening was flawless and our guests had a great time –still raving about the cocktail hour (the seafood station was a hit!). The ONLY thing I would do differently is the main course. Based on the tasting we chose the dry-aged NY Strip. The night-of it was not consistently as good and the presentation was not the same. Some loved while the head table and parents tables were in-edible. I would recommend going with the Filet instead. \r\rIn addition to the wedding services, the staff downstairs for the restaurants was also very accommodating which made the whole experience even better. We ended the night downstairs with space reserved in the ‘library’ which was a really nice touch for our guests and family who wanted to still enjoy the night. The next morning, Zylo hosted a casual brunch before our guests took off and it was a great way to cap off the weekend.\r\rIn the end, it was truly an unforgettable event for all…I would highly recommend.\r Reviewed on 04-01-2014
