Wachesaw Plantation Club is a waterfront wedding venue situated in Murrells Inlet, SC, along the picturesque Waccamaw River. Could not have asked for a better venue! From the time we went to take a tour, we were blown away by the beauty of the bluff, as well as Kimbels event space. After meeting Brayer, we knew this was where we wanted to have our special day. Brayer was so wonderful and calm as we met with her several times during our engagement. The day of was nothing less than special. We cannot say enough about Brayer and her team. Even during a pandemic, they made sure that everything was perfect and went off without any problems. The chef's food was out of this world! He had to make last minute adjustments and changes due to CDC regulations, and we cannot get over how beautiful the presentation still was. Our guests raved about all of the food especially the late night hand passed truffle french fries we had. The staff and bartenders were professional and accommodating. Our wedding day at Wachesaw was so special. I would recommend this venue to everybody.

This venue is pure magic. I was so distraught in my wedding venue search in this area until I drove into Wachesaw to meet with Brayer. The biggest thing I wanted for my wedding day was the giant live oak trees draped with Spanish moss. So many places wanted to charge you the cost of your firstborn child just for a piece of grass and some trees, with nothing else included. Wachesaw's pricing was incredibly reasonable, and I loved that I didn't have to separately coordinate food and drinks and try to impossibly calculate the realistic cost. The ambiance is everything. Wachesaw's trees were BEYOND anything in my wildest dreams. And the waterfront on the Waccamaw River!! It was heaven. I am tearing up now remembering how magical it was that day. You get an indoor area, a beautiful restaurant with a screen porch and wraparound deck, as well as the entire outdoor lawn area, which was incredible. Most places would charge double if you wanted to use both spaces. The food was to die for. We had sushi and veggie options to appease me, and a variety of meats for my husband. Brayer made sure to fix us both a plate and kept making sure we were fed and happy. Brayer, the wedding coordinator, is an angel. She was the only person in the wedding venue industry that I encountered who wasn't pushy, fake, or trying to rush me into anything. She was calm, warm, and genuinely listened to us and tried to get to know us. She was a breath of fresh air and helped us with all the details, including vendor recommendations and day-of coordination. She helped keep us on time and kept us to a schedule,I still have friends and family that talk about our wedding months later, and how it was the wedding of the century. You will love this venue.

We could not have dreamed of a more amazing venue for our wedding. Brayer and the entire Wachesaw team were amazing, kind and accommodating. They did everything to make sure that our day went off without a hitch. The backdrop for our ceremony on the bluff was breathtaking, and we were so excited to share the beautiful view with our guests. The food and drinks were absolutely incredible. We had guests present who have worked in Michelin Star restaurants who said the food was some of the best they've ever had. We can't say enough about this venue. Our wedding was absolutely perfect thanks to the team at Wachesaw!

We could not have dreamed of a more amazing venue for our wedding. Brayer and the entire Wachesaw team were amazing, kind and accommodating. They did everything to make sure that our day went off without a hitch. This venue knocks it out of the park! Brayer is azing to work with! She is so patient and kind and organized. Her staff is impeccable. Jennifer is top notch. Everyoneade our day perfect! The scenery is what sold us on this venue, but the staff is what made it so memorable. It was a pleasure working with this team! Chef created divine dishes for our guests! We also rented a cottage onsite and Kim was outstanding to work with. She was extremely dedicated to making sure our stay on property was perfect! We highly recommend this venue for your wedding!

I cannot sing Brayer and Wachesaw Plantations praises enough! Everyone was amazing from our first look at the venue, to the tasting, to meetings, to our very special day. There was not a single snafu that fazed them for even a minute. They were flexible to give us what we wanted and had so many options for our ceremony and reception. We had some allergy and dietary concerns that were all met. The planning was amazing, the food was amazing, the service was amazing, the venue is gorgeous and I cannot rave enough about Wachesaw Plantation and our amazing wedding day!

BEAUTIFUL VENUE! I cannot say that enough. Brayer was great from day one. She was helpful with sending any info I asked for and was very quick to respond which helps keep stress levels low. When we chose our venue we really were unsure of how all this was going to go. My now husband and I are not great planners but Brayer was helpful in any way she could be. On the day her and her staff were very attentive to any needs we could have. We also had to postpone our wedding from May to October due to COVID and she even made it happen that we could get married on a Friday which normally they do not do because they have member dinner there at Kimbels when we could not find a Saturday that fit our schedules. The venue has the most beautiful spanish moss and I would recommend it again and again!

Better late than never ! We got married last year in April. We were so pleased with how our wedding turned out! The food was amazing and it is such a beautiful venue. Everyone was responsive and very easy to communicate with. All my pricing / set up questions were answered , transparency was great! We searched all over the area ( we were living in Charleston at the time) and $ wise this was great. Beautiful setting, amazing food and way more affordable than any immediate Charleston venue we looked at for the number of guests ( we ended up with 85). My parents were very happy with everything. We were able to coordinate and stay onsite which was perfect for the family and bridesmaids the day before and day of. Highly recommend and thank you Brayer!

We recently held our ceremony and reception at Wachesaw Plantation. Brayer, the banquet and catering manager at Wachesaw, and her staff were exceptional. Throughout the planning process, Brayer was there listening to our wants, needs, and providing insight to make sure our day played out just how we hoped. It rained all morning and early afternoon the day of our wedding. We kept in close contact with Brayer to determine if the ceremony would be inside or out. We took a gamble, decided to do the ceremony outside, and we had the full support of the staff. Everything was set up perfectly, and the rest of the day just fell into place. From the great food, to the handmade made old-fashions, to the kind and professional staff, to Brayer with the support and backing the day of and help and guidance leading up to the wedding, Wachesaw Plantation exceeded our expectations. The best decision that day was marrying my now wife; the second best was choosing Wachesaw Plantation as our wedding venue. Again, thank you everyone that was involved with our day.

Kimbel's at Wachesaw was a beautiful setting for a November wedding reception. We were able to use the outside deck and veranda for the cocktail hour before adjourning into the main dining room/tavern for dining stations and dancing. Brayer was always available via email, phone or in person to answer questions and provide input regarding all the decisions that needed to be made for the reception. The staff was very friendly and professional. The food was exceptional. I highly recommend Kimbel's at Wachesaw Plantation Club.

We had our wedding here on October 20th, 2018 and it was a dream come true. Brayer was wonderful to work with from start to finish and the venue is absolutely gorgeous. We never even considered having our wedding anywhere else. Unfortunately we had to move our outdoor ceremony indoors at the last minute but everything still worked out beautifully. All of our guests were so impressed with Wachesaw - the grounds, the decor, the food, the service... Everything was perfect!

We had our wedding here on October 20th, 2018 and it was a dream come true. Brayer was wonderful to work with from start to finish and the venue is absolutely gorgeous. We never even considered having our wedding anywhere else. Unfortunately we had to move our outdoor ceremony indoors at the last minute but everything still worked out beautifully. All of our guests were so impressed with Wachesaw - the grounds, the decor, the food, the service... Everything was perfect!

The grounds are absolutely beautiful. We barely had to decorate anything outside, it’s the most perfect location for a romantic feel and setting. The guests absolutely loved the setting, food, and the service. Brayer helped make the day go as smooth as possible, and helped make decisions for the most indecisive bride/person I know. She was patient and served as my planner the day of. My dad made a large, wooden arbor for the ceremony and she was very helpful letting us set up the day before and take it home a day or so later. I can’t say enough good things about this venue. It was such a gorgeous day, and everything ran so smoothly.

The guests absolutely loved the setting, food, and the service. Brayer helped make the day go as smooth as possible, and helped make decisions for the most indecisive bride/person I know. We were recently married on The Bluff at Wachesaw Plantation in October and had our reception at Kimbels. Brayer and her team were fantastic. Not only was Brayer so responsive and helpful leading up to the date she was there all night for the wedding to make sure everything went smoothly. Her team and the chef at Wachesaw created a menu special for us that included a gourmet grilled cheese bar that our guests are still raving about a month later. I highly recommend this gorgeous venue if you are looking for a stunning backdrop and a professional and friendly team with phenomenal food. Can't thank everyone enough for making our dream come true.

We were recently married on The Bluff at Wachesaw Plantation in October and had our reception at Kimbels. Brayer and her team were fantastic. Not only was Brayer so responsive and helpful leading up to the date she was there all night for the wedding to make sure everything went smoothly. Her team and the chef at Wachesaw created a menu special for us that included a gourmet grilled cheese bar that our guests are still raving about a month later. I highly recommend this gorgeous venue if you are looking for a stunning backdrop and a professional and friendly team with phenomenal food. Can't thank everyone enough for making our dream come true.

We had our wedding in September 2017 at Wachesaw Plantation Club. Brayer was super helpful in the weeks leading up the wedding, making sure we had everything we needed. The carpet and walls have recently been redone and look great. Our guests raved about the buffet options, and the room fit our 100 person guest list perfectly. I cannot say enough good things about Wachesaw! It was a perfect night and provided a perfect backdrop for our pictures!

We had our wedding in September 2017 at Wachesaw Plantation Club. Brayer was super helpful in the weeks leading up the wedding, making sure we had everything we needed. The carpet and walls have recently been redone and look great. Our guests raved about the buffet options, and the room fit our 100 person guest list perfectly. I cannot say enough good things about Wachesaw! It was a perfect night and provided a perfect backdrop for our pictures!

My daughter and new son-in-law recently had their wedding at Kimbels at Wachesaw Plantation Club. It was honestly the most beautiful wedding. To start with there couldn't be a more lovely setting for a ceremony or reception. The ceremony on the bluff of the river with the Spanish moss hanging from the trees is absolutely breath taking. It makes for some gorgeous pictures!! The venue with the veranda and decks is just perfect for a southern charm wedding. Being from the north I can tell you that \"southern hospitality\" is real at Wachesaw. Brayer and her staff could not have been any more accommodating and friendly yet very professional. The food and drink were excellent also! I would love to relive my daughters wedding again because everything from beginning to end was just perfect at Wachesaw!! I recommend 110%!!

Our wedding at Wachesaw Plantation was absolutely PERFECT! The views were SO breathtaking from the live oak trees, to the hanging Spanish moss, to the relaxing Waccamaw River. The grounds were immaculate and we loved that there were so many different areas for our guests to explore - the bluff where we had our ceremony, the lower deck, the upper deck, the veranda, the porch, the tavern/bar area, and of course the main dining area. Since all of our guests were from Pennsylvania, Virginia, and California, they were truly in awe of the southern beauty that Wachesaw offers! Our wedding photos are GORGEOUS!!! But, Brayer, the event coordinator, was the best part about our experience here! I cannot say enough good things about her. She is SO incredibly kind, relaxed, calming, professional, and great at what she does! All of our guests were from out of town, so we constantly had family and friends wanting to visit the venue. I am sure this was annoying, but Brayer and the staff were always so accommodating! I also e-mailed her with a million questions before our wedding and she always responded promptly and professionally. Our wedding day went so smoothly - all thanks to Brayer!!! I could write a novel but, Wachesaw Plantation is the most stunning location with excellent service! Thank you!!!Alissa and Cameron Miller

We got married on October 10, 2015 like the bride below we were suppose to get married outside but the rain changed those plans. Thanks to Brayer and the staff at Wachesaw we moved our wedding indoors and it went beautifully. All of our guests raved about the food and venue. I would not have changed anything! We HIGHLY recommend Wachesaw; rain or shine it is a beautiful location!!

Unfortuenlty mother nature didn't allow this to happen. Last minute we needed to move everything inside. Brayer (event planner at Wachesaw) and her team did a WONDERFUL job in doing so without stressing any of us out. She was so attentive to all of our needs and made our day extremely special. The food, and I'm talking about every piece, was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend Wachesaw for your special day as they know how to make it all about you and cater to all of your needs.

Jessica and the staff at Kimbels were so great and easy to work with. Everything was executed perfectly, and there wasn't a thing I would have changed. The location was perfect on the Waccamaw River, and the food was fantastic. We have had many of our guests say that the rib eye and scallops were some of the best they have ever had. I would recommend Kimbels to anyone who is looking for an easy reception location where they handle everything, including set up, for you.

Not only was the ceremony BEAUTIFUL and the reception awesome, but Charlene & Jennifer made the entire planning process so stress-free and easy! They recently built an outdoor glassed-in room on what used to be the deck, and I was a little disappointed that it couldn't be used because it was too cold outside, but other than that I have no complaints! Charlene even bustled my dress for me before the reception! Loved Wachesaw!!

The food & beverage manager was awesome to work with. She took time out of her busy days to meet with me and take my calls. The food was outstanding (we had a lot of people tell us how much they enjoyed the food) and the location was absolutely beautiful!

Brayer Surratt (Events Director) Brayer has been with Wachesaw since 2012 and has a passion for planning elegant and fun events. She is positive, professional and totally focused on customer satisfaction, ensuring every event exceeds your expectations. Brayer is a graduate of Erskine College and has over 20 years in the food and beverage industry.
