If you are considering Walden for your wedding and reception venue I can tell you that there is no better choice. No seriously, just go stand in the newly renovated space and you will see for yourself that is the premier place to get married in the Cleveland area. I have never been to a more perfect and beautiful wedding. Makenna is incredible and goes above and beyond the role of her coordinator job. She deserves a raise. We did the full Inn rental for both Friday and Saturday and had our immediate family and bridal party stay on site. I highly recommend doing this. The majority of our guest were travelling from out of town so this allowed our whole weekend to run smoothly. The hospitality at the Inn was world-class and everyone was helpful and accommodating. The rooms at the Inn are spacious and amazing. All of the guests that stayed with us at the Inn were extremely comfortable. It was super fun having them all close by.We had our rehearsal dinner followed by a welcome party at The Barn the night before the wedding. The food was delicious. We were unsure of how many people would show up to the welcome party since there were so many out of town guests and we completely underestimated our guest count by about 50. They handled it with grace and had all hands on deck to ensure the whole evening was seamless. Makenna was even bartending at one point. I can't thank them enough. Our wedding was a dream. The outdoor ceremony space was picture perfect. We used their fountain as our backdrop and the pictures are stunning. We added some florals to the fountain but otherwise no additional decorations were even needed because the outdoor area has such stand alone beauty. We had our cocktail hour in the courtyard which was a seamless transition from the outdoor ceremony. We had a cheese display and passed hors d'oeuvres and everyone was raving about the food. They also did an incredible job with our signature drinks. The reception room which was recently renovated is breathtaking. Makenna also helped us bring our dance floor dreams to life by helping coordinate a big disco ball installation above the dance floor. They were so accommodating. The food in hands down the best wedding food I have ever experienced. Every single guest came up to us to tell us that as well. Definitely splurge for the aged rib-eye and pan-seared seabass, you won't regret it. Compliments to the Chef, we plan on returning for dinner and our anniversary.

We could not have asked for a better wedding-planning or wedding-weekend experience. Selecting your venue can be such a big & stressful decision but after our tour of Walden we only felt excitement, confidence, and peace of mind. Walden has the ability to turn your wedding day into a wedding weekend with their 20+ rooms in which my wife & I and all our closest family & friends took advantage of both Friday and Saturday night. Every single guest said it was the nicest âhotelâ room theyâd ever stayed in and the rooms truly feel like your own little apartment. I could go on forever about all our favorite parts of the weekend and Walden deserves 5 stars from every perspective as a wedding venue but we have to especially highlight the food. By far the best food weâve ever had at a wedding - not even close. So while weâd give Walden a 10/10, we would give Makenna a 100/10. She is the absolute best and we could not speak highly enough about her. To give some perspective on the type of Wedding Planner and person she is: We were planning on having a âWelcome Partyâ on Friday where our guests were invited to join us in the Walden Lounge for drinks & snacks. In a total mess-up on our end, we never communicated this plan to Makenna. So with only a couple hours notice, Makenna made the whole thing happen and even was our bartender for the night. Everything throughout the whole weekend went super smoothly with no stress on our end and that is definitely thanks to Makenna. With all of the decisions and intricacies that go into planning your wedding, your wedding planner can totally make or break your experience & Makenna made ours (despite lots of high-maintenance requests) better than we could have ever hoped.

My husband and I could not have asked for a better experience working with Makenna and Kate at Walden when planning our wedding reception. From the very beginning, the entire staff at Walden welcomed us with open arms. All communication was organized, timely, supportive, and transparent.Our dinner was one of the best meals we have eaten and our guests could not stop raving about the food! The Walden staff was attentive and accommodating, especially for our guests with dietary restrictions.With our wedding taking place only a month after the renovations were completed, Makenna and staff did an amazing job being transparent about the progress and showing us all the possibilities for staging our reception space.Simply put, Walden is the obvious choice to host your wedding. Period!

My husband and I could not have asked for a better experience working with Makenna and Kate at Walden when planning our wedding reception. After touring Walden, my daughter knew she had to have her wedding there. The place is so unique and beautiful inside and out and having the Inn was icing on the cake! They gave us the option to rent out the entire Inn (22 rooms) and it was one of the best decisions we made. It allowed us to use the entire space, as we saw fit, for the entire day/night. Having access to your suite for rest, storage, makeup touchups etc. was indispensable. It was also very helpful for grandparents who wanted to turn in earlier than the rest and we didnât have to worry about anyone driving. Having an in-house chef is an underrated benefit and the Walden chefs are world class! Guests raved about the food and we felt proud and happy. As for service/support, this place must be doing something right because their staff is simply the Best! Makenna is the wedding coordinator and is at the top of her game. She is so organized/helpful/accommodating/conscientious and all while remaining calm and confident. She is a gift. The rest of the staff is top notch as well! The service from beginning to end was impeccable. Not a single one of my special requests was turned down. They did everything in their power to bring our vision to life. Iâve never seen a harder working group of people! I wish I could name them all personally. As an added bonus, the suites are all spacious and simply beautiful. You feel like you are on vacation when you are there. Then there is the Salon and Spa! What a treat for the bridal party and guests alike to partake in all their services. Again, top notch staff/services/surroundings! My husband and I canât wait to go back for a mini escape. Whether you live near or far, Walden is a perfect choice for an unforgettable wedding that your guests will rave about for years to come. Bravo Walden!!

Walden completely exceeded our expectations as a wedding venue. We could not have been more happy with how perfect our wedding day turned out. Makenna, Kate & team were so incredibly accommodating and detailed, which made us feel comfortable and relaxed leading up to our wedding day. Our guests are still raving about how our wedding was one of the nicest they have ever been to and how the food was the best they have had at a wedding. We got married in the garden, and it was like a dream. The suite we stayed in was absolutely stunning and we can't wait to come back for our anniversary. When i first toured the walden for my venue my husband and i knew right away that this was the place! The venue is stunning and our guests are still raving about how beautiful it was. The food is also incredible! Sarah and the team were the BOMB! they made the whole process so much easier. You really feel like you're royalty there and they are so attentive to whatever you need. We stayed overnight and had a spa day the next day which was nothing short of amazing! we'll most definitely be back for our first anniversary!

When i first toured the walden for my venue my husband and i knew right away that this was the place! The venue is stunning and our guests are still raving about how beautiful it was. The food is also incredible! Sarah and the team were the BOMB! they made the whole process so much easier. You really feel like you're royalty there and they are so attentive to whatever you need. We stayed overnight and had a spa day the next day which was nothing short of amazing! we'll most definitely be back for our first anniversary!

As soon as we took our tour of Walden and met their amazing event coordinator, Sarah, we knew this was the perfect venue for our wedding weekend. As soon as we said âyesâ Sarah had blocked off the Inn for our wedding, the Barn for our rehearsal dinner, the Club for our welcome reception and the cafe for our brunch! It was such a benefit to have one point of contact for all of these events and Sarah stayed on top of the details for all of them.Sarah also served as my pseudo wedding planner - I could text her from the florist or any vendor to ask questions and she was always very responsive. She had photos and ideas for everything. I even ended up using one of her ideas for our head table florals. And she took care to make sure everything that needed to be set up or executed on happened. On our wedding day I didnât need to do or worry about anything - it was all taken care of!Walden was a beautiful setting, and the entire staff went out of their way to cater to every need of ours and our guests. All weekend people were coming up to tell us how much they loved the spa, hanging out at the pool, the delicious food, etc.

Sarah and all the staff at Walden made our Wedding Day absolutely incredible! Sarah provided us with everything we needed and more! She was attentive and responsive the day of and the weeks/months leading up to the big day. She asked about my vision and then brought it to life. She helped with every aspect of planning and coordinating and was always a delight to communicate with. At first, I was worried about the plaid carpeting at The Club but Sarah assured me that when the linens and centerpieces were in place- you wouldnât even notice and she was ABSOLUTELY right. Club Walden was the perfect setting. From our stay at the Inn to the beautiful ceremony in the Arbor to the reception at The ClubâŚ. everything was seamless. I could not have asked for a better person to work with when planning our day. I can not put into words how absolutely wonderful Sarah and Patrick were to us. So much love for both of them! â¤ď¸The newly remodeled bar and deck at The Club were a huge hit with our guests. They raved about the location, food, service and all the details that Walden added to make it special for us. We were so impressed by everything Walden had to offer. I would highly recommend! Do not wait to book your event- Walden is the place to be! Thank you Sarah, Patrick and the Walden staff for making our June 26th Wedding an absolute DREAM! If we could relive the day over and over again we would, and would not change one single thing!

Sarah and all the staff at Walden made our Wedding Day absolutely incredible! Sarah provided us with everything we needed and more! She helped with every aspect of planning and coordinating and was always a delight to communicate with. Sarah and the team at Walden were absolutely incredible in hosting my wedding at the Inn at Walden as well as my rehearsal dinner at the barn. To say that they went above and beyond was an understatement. We decided to have our wedding somewhat last minute, we contacted Sarah the fabulous event planner there probably 10 weeks before the wedding was going to happen. She threw on her superwoman cape and helped with EVERYTHING. From floral vendors to hair and make up, customizing our menu beyond what they typically offer to suit our guests, to running out to a party supply store to get table numbers that matched the flatware, she was a dream. Sarah was always available always a text away to answer any of my 50000000 questions or concerns, she took it all with a smile and a level of organization I have never seen before. Our wedding was on May 2nd which can be tricky from a weather perspective so Sarah had 3 separate plans depending on the weather, one for outdoors, one for indoors, and one for outdoors with heaters and blankets for the guests. Fortunately it ended up being the one sunny 80 degree day that week (the other days were rainy and in the 60âs) and knowing Sarah I have a feeling she somehow made the sun shine for us. Now for the wedding- the inn is just stunning I had a gorgeous suite I stayed in for a couple nights and had my bridal party get ready in. We had a champagne welcome, and anything we needed was a quick call away. On the morning of our wedding I had a delicious brunch brought up to the room, Sarah made sure the florists, cake, rentals, and everything was set up how I dreamed it would be. The team greated our guests and led them to their seats while I did some first look photos, then they coordinated the sound vendor to make sure the violinist had everything she needed for the ceremony as well as our officiant. When the wedding was over and my husband and I walked back down the aisle Sarah was there with two glasses of champagne in hand to help us celebrate. Moving on to the cocktail hour⌠it was set on a patio outside the Jaipur lounge, OMG those little bites were delicious!! Trust me on the mini grilled cheese and tomato soup shots, just trust me! Sarah and her team made sure everything was in place (challah cutting, cake, etc.) to make a seamless transition from cocktailHour to reception. The food was perfection, everyone raves about it, and the lounge was transformed into a gorgeous spring celebration complete with horses in the ring through the window. Just to show how thoughtful the team at Walden is, they noticed my husband and I were too busy talking to everyone to try our cake during dessert, they had two slices waiting in our room for us (complete with chocolate strawberries) for when the evening was over for us to enjoy. It was one of the most incredible days of my life and I am confident that was entirely due to Sarah and the staff at Walden. Best decision I ever made was having my wedding there, I still canât believe it turned out as beautifully as it did without a wedding planner. Thatâs the level of service they (and especially Sarah) provides. I canât wait to come back next may for our anniversary!

Just to show how thoughtful the team at Walden is, they noticed my husband and I were too busy talking to everyone to try our cake during dessert, they had two slices waiting in our room for us (complete with chocolate strawberries) for when the evening was over for us to enjoy. It was one of the most incredible days of my life and I am confident that was entirely due to Sarah and the staff at Walden. Best decision I ever made was having my wedding there, I still canât believe it turned out as beautifully as it did without a wedding planner. Thatâs the level of service they (and especially Sarah) provides. I canât wait to come back next may for our anniversary!

First off Sarah sells the Walden Inn & Spa. You can love a place but if your event coordinator at the venue is terrible then you will have so much unnecessary stress. I can say this was not the case with Sarah. She kept me in the loop about things going on. When she had communicated with all our outside vendors. She was also willing to stay late and meet with me after I had gotten off of work. She didnât mind doing multiple walk throughs to make sure everything was how I wanted it. She also made sure I didnât have to lift a finger to make sure everything the day of was exactly where it should be. She took care of flipping the main table as the day progressed to reflect the next item in the itinerary. You can also book the rooms in advance for things youâd like to set up! Sarah coordinated day of with all my vendors so everyone was where they needed to be. She guided us through the rehearsal and had no problem telling people to stand there and stay put, so I could just enjoy the day. She was also wonderful with working with the chef to accommodate my dietary restrictions. She even helped me find hair and makeup people during covid. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She truly made my day stress free so I could enjoy it!

She was with us throughout the entire planning process and offered great suggestions and recommendations. Sarah was attentive to every last detail and she was so flexible in accommodating all of our ideas and requests. The Walden is an amazing venue and exceeded our expectations. The food was fantastic and the scenery was perfect. Great locations for photographs and indoor and outdoor options so we did not have to stress about possible bad weather. Sarah, the coordinator was a god send. She went above and beyond for us! She answered my 500 questions in detail, helped with anything I needed and was in constant contact! The day of was so relaxing for not only me, but my parents, my husband and his parents. Sarah was exceptional! The food was delicious...our guests are still raving. The overnight suite was the perfect place to get ready, and then they decorated it with rose petals, champagne, cake, and our flowers. Later that week, we got a couples massage at the spa and the front desk ladies knew us by name, congratulated us, and gave us champagne for our services. We can't wait to go back! All in all, we were extremely happy with choosing Walden and would definitely do it again...in a heartbeat!!!!

The Walden Inn is an absolutely lovely backdrop for a wedding, indoor or out! We booked Walden upon meeting with their planner Libby ( who we loved). Unfortunately short after we were informed that Libby was replaced by a new planner. Kate was great at communicating during the interim. Unfortunately our wedding fell on the only rainy day during a 2 month period, however the indoor ceremony was just as beautiful. The suite was perfect and roomy and plenty of space for the wedding party to prepare. It also served as a beautiful backdrop for indoor photos.I was disappointed by not having Libby to help plan our wedding as we got along very well at the beginning. The new planner seemed a bit disinterested in helping us and was not very forthcoming with ideas. I was hoping for more input and a bit more excitement considering it was in fact, my wedding day! Also, she printed a sign for our guests to grab favors on the way out and miss-spelled my name! We now have my name spelled incorrectly in a few of the wedding photos. Considering the multiple email communications which went back and forth, I would expect a bit more attention to detail.The rest of the staff was beyond helpful and everyone seemed excited for the event! Without question, I would love to give Walden 4 or 5 stars if the attention to detail was a bit more spot on and if I would've felt a bit more supported with my choices and had more input and suggestions from their planner.

Walden is a magical place, largely due to the people who work there. Yes, it's beautiful, the aesthetic is clean yet warm, and the suites are unique and luxurious. But what I'll remember about our wedding day there is how smoothly the whole thing went and the amazing people who made it happen. \r\rKate and her staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful. From the first time we went to visit the venue to our tasting (the chef worked with us to create a fusion menu which we loved) to the final weekend, everything was handled with a level of professionalism and attention to personal detail that I've never encountered anywhere else. If there were any hiccups, I never knew about it. And somehow, on that hot June day, glasses of water kept appearing, which was much appreciated. \r\rThe space itself is one of a kind. There's so much elegance to the setting not much needed to be added. We had the ceremony outside with their garden as the backdrop. The reception was in the dining room, which was converted from it's standard blue (which was the setting for our rehearsal dinner the night before) to our gold and red theme (making it look like a completely different room). The dance then was held in their lounge, which was cozy and intimate despite having over 150 guests. There were so many spaces for small groups of people to meet and connect and our guests still talk about how much they loved Walden. \r\rWe love Walden so much that, despite moving out of state, we still travel back to spend a couple of days at the inn and indulge in their spa once a year for our anniversary. They always have our room ready and everyone knows our names. Like I said, a magical place. I'm so happy we chose Walden for our wedding and can't imagine having been happier anywhere else.

The Walden Inn, there is not enough I can say about this place. Loved every moment we spent there, so much that we were truly sad to leave when it came time. I had a room for my bridesmaids and I the night before the wedding and it was amazing, they gave us free range of the ceremony room to decorate as we wished and actually we had the entire first level free to decorate!! Rhiannon was perfect, she was so patient and welcoming. My husband and I have started a tradition that we go back to The Walden on our wedding anniversary and stay for the night. I truly love this place, and am SO happy I had my wedding ceremony there, we would have loved to have the reception there also but it was a little out of our price range, but they were beyond accommodating and every time we return we experience the same exceptional service just as plain guests on an ordinary day. Thank you all so much for creating such an amazing memory in our hearts, I truly believe no where else could have done that.

The Country Inn at Walden exceeded our expectations in a number of dimensions. Wait staff, event coordinators, etc. all treated wedding party members and guests with the highest care and consideration. Guests still rave about the food at our wedding six months later. The outdoor setting proved to be beautiful and the indoor \"backup plan\" eased my anxiety of bad weather despite not having to resort to it. You feel like you've left Cleveland when you're there and you don't have to worry about other parties \"competing\" with your own. The bridal suite held my five bridesmaids, hairstylist, make up person, family, etc perfectly and was a relaxing setting. The staff turned it into a romantic setting while we were getting married and was an excellent surprise to come back to. The pricing is on point for the quality found there. For alcohol, you have the option of paying per drink or an hourly open bar charge and there are different \"levels\" of alcohol qualities to meet various budget needs. There are many \"upgrade\" options from a raw bar to an outdoor tent, etc. The Spa is probably the best in all of Ohio. The BARN is the PERFECT place for a rehearsal dinner and, again, the food is on point! Guests not wanting to pay the premium to stay there can stay at the Bertram Inn five minutes away. Truly, feels like a private oasis just 40 minutes outside of Cleveland. Intimacy, service, elegance, modernity in architecture and beauty in the grounds and the nature around.

Everyone in my family really enjoyed this venue. If you are having a small wedding (less than 80 people) please check this place out! We had our wedding in September 2013 and held the wedding and appetizers outside and then the dinner and reception inside. I felt that having 70 people in a ballroom would be dull, so the thing that I enjoyed most about this venue is that it flows. You move to several different rooms for different parts of the evening so the guests aren't cooped up in one area. Things that were really great: the bridal party all got our hair done at the Spa Walden and the Inn was able to open our suite early (about 11am) for everyone to get ready (the 1 night suite is part of the cost of the venue and you get to select the room), the staff was attentive during the wedding and really helped to make sure everyone was happy, we weren't sure on our bar option so they offered to charge us \"per drink\" but no more than the \"cost per person\

We had our wedding reception at the walden and they did an amazing job with everything. We got nothing but great feed back from our guests and everyone had a blast. It was a little more expensive than we originally planned to spend but it was worth it and worth checking out. The outdoor fire pit was a huge hit at night !

Makenna Delgado (Coordinator) My passion for event planning began in high school and since then, I've planned events of all kinds! I started out planning retreats and dances for my high school and then moved into showers and private parties during my college internship.
