Watauga Riverbend Retreat is a charming estate and wedding venue in Johnson City, TN. If you’re looking for an intimate setting for your special day, this magnificent property provides enough space for you and 75 guests. Here, you will immerse your party in an atmosphere defined by nature with views over the Watauga river and its surrounding scenery. Prepare to take a deep breath of fresh countryside air as you celebrate your marriage in a fantastic location. You will have time to prepare for the festivities in one of Watauga Riverbend Retreat’s five suites. Enjoy a range of amenities to help you and your party feel absolutely ready for the aisle. A fairytale ceremony can ensue on the terrace – the serene river backdrop will perfectly frame your vow exchange in a sentimental fashion. Afterward, you can have tables and chairs set up here for a relaxing reception under the soaring skies. Our pavillion was put on hold by the TVA but we have purchased 30x60 and 12x20 white wedding tents to use for your reception. They look beautiful when decorated! Wherever you choose to enjoy your wedding, this inviting venue manages to merge the best of raw outdoor beauty with modern indoor luxuries. Some of the comprehensive offerings include overnight accommodation for up to 10 individuals for up to 3 nights along with your ceremony (1 or 2 night options available). If you want to make the atmosphere at your function feel even more unique, you can arrange the services of the venue’s various preferred vendors.

We had our DREAM wedding at this venue! We couldn’t have been more pleased with all of the services that were provided for us. The views are just outstanding and our photos were absolutely incredible. The stay at the venue for the weekend was a HUGE perk! We got to enjoy the whole weekend with our family and friends. The owner was very accommodating to all of our needs. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this venue. If you do decide to choose it, you won’t be disappointed that you did!

Fabulous venue for a perfect wedding and reception. The owner is so easy to work with and very accommodating. A beautiful house along side a river makes the perfect location for your guests to enjoy. I highly recommend this venue!

Stacy Vaughan (Manager) Hi,I am Stacy Vaughan and I assist the owner (Vince) of Watauga Riverbend Retreat and Venue with marketing, booking and coordination. After I met the owner of this gorgeous property, we both started realizing this setting was not being utilized for what it is truly perfect for; weddings and other celebrations. We have worked together to transition from a VRBO type setup to a venue plus stay setup and the response has been wonderful!!
