A Historic Bank-Turned-Hotel Wedding Venue

Located in Baton Rouge, LA, Watermark Baton Rouge Autograph Collection is a landmark hotel. Built in 1927 as an early skyscraper, this hotel is the ideal location for a history buff’s wedding. The building's first purpose was as the headquarters for the Louisiana Trust & Savings Bank. Today, remnants of this past are still prevalent throughout the property. Walking inside, couples and guests will be greeted with sights of art deco and Greek revival architecture. Various murals adorn the walls, each of which can be attributed to the well-renowned artist, Angela Gregory. Alongside these paintings, carved marble staircases lead to the original vaults, offering a sense of the hotel’s first life. Up to 100 guests can enjoy an occasion in one of four event spaces here. Available to choose from is The Vault, The Founders Room, the Depository, or the Louisiana Purchase Room. Each of these spaces has a unique charm and appeal, whether that be marble walls or chandelier lighting. Certified event planners are present to assist throughout the entire process, and gourmet catering is available for those who crave it. The offered event packages may include decoration, photography services, or valet parking. The two on-site restaurants incorporate conversation-starting elements that pay homage to the 1920s through the 1960s. The first restaurant, The Gregory, offers southern classics. The second one, Milford’s on Third, is styled to reflect New York-style delis. Catered menus are composed to reflect local culinary treats and can be customized to the occasion. From wedding banquets to farewell brunches, the hotel’s team of chefs is ready to prepare a delicious meal for clients and their guests. After the festivities have concluded, couples and guests will be able to easily retire for the evening in one of the many hotel suites.
