We had our wedding at the Wentworth by the Sea hotel and had such a great experience. Katrina the coordinator is very thoughtful, easy to work with and responsive. Our guests loved the food. We had a December wedding, the entire venue was decorated with holiday decor. The weekend felt like a holiday get away with the family. Highly recommend.

Laura was absolutely fantastic to work with. As a fellow event planner, it's hard to trust other people to run an event for you, but after meeting her, I immediately knew we were in good hands. And I was right! Our day came together smoothly, the venue was absolutely beautiful, the rooms were comfortable. Even at times when something wasn't exactly right, her team was on it quickly to get it resolved. The food was delicious - I'm still dreaming about the butternut squash ravioli. We couldn't have been happier and we will definitely be back!

Our wedding at Wentworth by the Sea was everything we had hoped for. Personally, I am not the type of bride who was looking forward to the wedding planning process, however, Wentworth by the Sea made it SO easy and their provided vendors were all excellent . Laura was very supportive throughout the entire process and made sure everything was right. We were sad to say \"bye\" to her at the end of the night! If you want to have a beautiful wedding that is stress-free, do not think twice!

The Wentworth by the Sea Hotel and Resort is the most magical place to have a wedding! We could not have been happier with our wedding weekend. Laura Abraham was wonderful to work with-- from the very first meeting to the night of the reception, she gave us good advice, was patient with our questions, and ably managed all of the details of an on-site ceremony and reception. Our guests were so impressed with the hotel, the service, the food, and the location. Laura checked on us during the wedding day, sent champagne and chocolates to the wedding suite, and generally made us feel special the entire weekend. We knew we were in good hands! We were a little concerned that pandemic-related staffing shortages might impact our celebration, but this was definitely not the case. All of the staff were terrific. We highly recommend this venue! I held my \"micro\" 30 guest wedding at the Wentworth by the Sea in January 2022. We planned the wedding on a very short (7 week) timeline, and it all came together beautifully. Laura was incredibly responsive and professional. She was quick to answer questions honestly and kept me up to date on the ever-changing COVID-19 requirements. The hotel was very accomodating and went so far as to shovel a path in the freshly fallen snow to allow us to take photos in our desired location. The chef was able to prepare my non-traditional wedding dessert, and the food was presented beautifully. The Wentworth by the Sea also took care of all of the break down, and had our decorations packed up and ready for us to take home the day after the wedding. My guests all commented on how lovely their hotel rooms were, and many enjoyed the pool. One note: the Wentworth by the Sea requires vendors to have a very particular insurance clause- I recommend letting your vendors know about this early on. Laura was very helpful in explaining the requirements and all of my vendors were able to obtain appropriate coverage in time. Laura all offered a list of preferred vendors, who she knew already had the required clause. Overall- the hotel was beautiful, the staff was wonderful, and I HIGHLY recommend the Wentworth by the Sea, no matter the size of your special day.

We had the most elegant, wonderful, and beautiful summer wedding at the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel during July of 2021. Laura Abraham is absolutely incredible at working with brides, grooms, and their families to ensure that they have the most perfect wedding day. In addition to being exceptionally organized, proactive, and responsive, Laura is such an incredibly kind person and truly makes each couple feel special throughout the wedding planning process. We met Laura in the fall of 2018 shortly after we were engaged and initially planned a summer of 2020 wedding. Having to navigate through truly uncharted territory, Laura was there for us continuously during the uncertainty of spring of 2020, when we ultimately made the decision to postpone our wedding to July of 2021. Throughout the entire pandemic leading up to our wedding Laura was always so calm, understanding, and empathetic which meant to much to us. Once the day of our wedding finally arrived, after so much anticipation it was absolutely perfect.From the evening my family checked into the hotel the night before the wedding, Laura was present to make sure everything was going well. Given the many meetings we had leading up to the day, I felt incredibly at ease knowing that everything would be handled for us on our wedding day. Knowing Laura had all of the details mapped out made the getting ready process that day go incredibly smoothly. Even as I departed for the ceremony at the church Laura was there to see myself, my family, and my bridesmaids as we departed in the limo. She kept track of every special moment to ensure things were going smoothly, even before the reception began. Just prior to the reception, Laura introduced us to her colleague Ivy, who stayed with us throughout the night to ensure we had everything we needed. Ivy was exceptional to work with as well and partnered with Laura to continue to make sure we had the best evening possible.The Grand Ballroom at the Wentworth is the ballroom we held our reception in, and it is incredibly beautiful. There are gorgeous chandeliers throughout the room which creates a regal, charming atmosphere. The food was so incredibly decadent. Our guests to this day still comment on how they've never been to a wedding with such delicious food. Family and friends still comment on how at the cocktail the hors d'oeuvres were never-ending, refreshing, and very filling. Both us and our guests were even more so impressed by the dinner. So many of our guests have noted how the filet mignon and lobster tail combination was outstanding, and that the filet melted in their mouth. The white glove service was also superb - friends and family still to this day comment on how exceptional that service was and how incredible it was to watch the servers in unison. The worst part of the night was when it ended! We wanted the reception to go on and on, and still to this day wish we could go back in time to enjoy the best day of our lives again. Laura Abraham and her team at the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel are amazing. The venue is incredible - what more can you ask for than a stunning historic hotel set beside the beautiful New Hampshire seacoast? For any couples looking for the perfect venue - look no further. You will not regret your decision to have your wedding at the Wentworth by the Sea! We wish we could be in your shoes and relive the wonderful experience all over again!

We choose an outdoor ceremony, but they were able to provide an indoor back up in case of rain. The ocean view, the gazebo and gardens are stunning. The Victorian interior is gorgeous yet comfortable. We had a team of knowledgeable and courteous planning professionals that were an immense help with all the details. Nothing was overlooked from the linens and tablecloths to the meal choices. They also provided specialty meals for those with food allergies without hesitation. The Wentworth has a network of vetted, professional vendors, so choosing a bakery for the cake, printer for the invitations and florist was super convenient. Having a wedding at the Wentworth is a stress free as it gets! The staff know what it takes to make a memorable day – and it was!

I cannot say enough about the Wentworth team! I grew up in Portsmouth and it was a dream of mine as a little girl to have my wedding at the Wentworth one day! Laura and her team turned my dream into reality and they made it the PERFECT day for us. Through the ups and downs of COVID and a reschedule of our wedding, plus navigating planning a wedding from 3000 miles away, Laura was right by our side to give us all of the information we needed to make the best decision for us as a couple and ensure we still had the dream wedding we had hoped for. All things considered, it was a smooth planning process thanks to the trust we built with Laura and her team and that made the day of that much easier too. Then the wedding weekend came! As soon as we walked through the doors to check-in to our room, the 5-star service started. The team at the Wentworth was so attentive to our needs and our guests needs. We all truly felt special. And it only got better the day of. All of my nerves disappeared as soon as I met our day of staff. They were so attentive and went out of their way to make sure every need was met and every question was answered. It truly was a remarkable, seamless, smooth, carefree, and joyous day thanks in large part to the staff at the Wentworth! I thought I was going to be an anxious, nervous bride but the anxiety and nerves never showed up because I knew we would be well taken care of.Highly, highly, highly recommend the Wentworth for a reception venue!

My daughter was married on 10/9/21 at Immaculate Conception Church and the reception was at Wentworth By The Sea. The entire staff deserves a shout out, they all did an unbelievable job on the entire weekend…especially Laura, our coordinator. Laura was on top of everything from the hotel rooms being ready early, making sure everyone got their guest bags and even coordinating shuttle service to the other hotels for the guests to have a safe ride home after a night of celebrating. Laura made sure that every vision I had come to fruition. The food was outstanding….from the raw bar to the late night snacks everything was so good. All of the guests said they had never been to a wedding reception that had food this fabulous, everyone was stuffed! Every single detail was perfect. I’ve got a touch of OCD when it comes to details and the execution of them and I never once worried, I was able to enjoy every minute of my daughter’s wedding day and Laura made sure of it!

It has taken me a long time to write this review, because I couldn’t really find the perfect words to explain how happy I am that my husband and I chose this venue. The Wentworth by the Sea absolutely exceeded my expectations on what I always pictured to be my dream wedding. After looking at a few other venues, when I toured the Wentworth & met with Laura (director of catering) my mind was instantly made up on where I wanted our perfect wedding to take place. I cannot say enough good things about this venue and everyone who was in attendance has said it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever been to. To this day, almost 3 months later, guests are still telling me how they can’t stop thinking of the food at our wedding and how they cannot wait to book a weekend away at the Wentworth just to go back. My husband and I got married on a Friday, and from the second we arrived at the hotel on Wednesday we were treated like royalty. We opted for a 2 bedroom marina suite (which I would highly recommend). When you walk in the door it has a beautiful kitchen and living area with balcony doors and a balcony straight ahead over looking the water. There is a stair case leading up to the first bathroom, and then a few more stairs up & you’re on the top floor, which includes a first bedroom and the master suite with another bathroom & balcony. It was absolutely gorgeous and the perfect spot for 9+ girls to get ready the day of the wedding. We ordered room service a few times, which we all know can be awful. It tasted like they rushed it straight from the kitchen to our room. It was unbelievable.The day of our wedding, everything was effortless. I could not believe how beautiful the ballroom looked, and how perfect everything went down, despite having to cut our rehearsal short due to downpours. I have to mention that none of this would be possible without Laura A. She was more than I could have asked for in a “wedding coordinator”. Planning a wedding during Covid was not easy, it was stressful & uncertain and Laura constantly kept me in the loop of the ever changing mandates and was never ever misleading with me. She never told me what she “thought” was going to happen, she just gave me the straight facts. When we finally found out we could have our entire guest list of almost 200 people, Laura called to tell me the good news and I actually cried on the phone with her. During our wedding, I was very nervous & anxious before walking down the aisle and Laura kept assuring me how beautiful I looked & that I would be okay. She felt more like family by the end of our wedding than just someone who helped plan it. I will end this by saying … my whole life I have thought about what my wedding day (and weekend) would look like…. And the Wentworth by the Sea made it all possible & more. I would highly recommend this venue to any bride looking for a perfect wedding.

After looking at a few other venues, when I toured the Wentworth & met with Laura (director of catering) my mind was instantly made up on where I wanted our perfect wedding to take place. I cannot say enough good things about this venue and everyone who was in attendance has said it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever been to. To this day, almost 3 months later, guests are still telling me how they can’t stop thinking of the food at our wedding and how they cannot wait to book a weekend away at the Wentworth just to go back. My husband and I got married on a Friday, and from the second we arrived at the hotel on Wednesday we were treated like royalty. We opted for a 2 bedroom marina suite (which I would highly recommend). When you walk in the door it has a beautiful kitchen and living area with balcony doors and a balcony straight ahead over looking the water. There is a stair case leading up to the first bathroom, and then a few more stairs up & you’re on the top floor, which includes a first bedroom and the master suite with another bathroom & balcony. It was absolutely gorgeous and the perfect spot for 9+ girls to get ready the day of the wedding. We ordered room service a few times, which we all know can be awful. It tasted like they rushed it straight from the kitchen to our room. It was unbelievable.The day of our wedding, everything was effortless. I could not believe how beautiful the ballroom looked, and how perfect everything went down, despite having to cut our rehearsal short due to downpours. I have to mention that none of this would be possible without Laura A. She was more than I could have asked for in a “wedding coordinator”. Planning a wedding during Covid was not easy, it was stressful & uncertain and Laura constantly kept me in the loop of the ever changing mandates and was never ever misleading with me. She never told me what she “thought” was going to happen, she just gave me the straight facts. When we finally found out we could have our entire guest list of almost 200 people, Laura called to tell me the good news and I actually cried on the phone with her. During our wedding, I was very nervous & anxious before walking down the aisle and Laura kept assuring me how beautiful I looked & that I would be okay. She felt more like family by the end of our wedding than just someone who helped plan it. I will end this by saying … my whole life I have thought about what my wedding day (and weekend) would look like…. And the Wentworth by the Sea made it all possible & more. I would highly recommend this venue to any bride looking for a perfect wedding.

The Wentworth by the Sea Hotel and its team led by Laura Abraham Long gave us the wedding of our dreams. The venue is gorgeous, the food was spectacular, and the staff service was superb. We got married in the beautiful garden and our reception was in the spectacular Grand Ballroom. Our guests are still raving about all of it, including about the Signature White Glove Presidential Service. Laura, the Wentworth’s catering director, provided excellent advice every step along the way and patiently and quickly responded to all of our questions and concerns. It was like having our own personal wedding planner! And she and the staff were exceptionally sensitive to COVID concerns, helping to ensure the health and safety of our guests. We purchased a package and the Wentworth’s vendors for the cake, flowers, and escort & table cards also were excellent, extremely professional, and responsive to all of our questions. Our Justice of the Peace, Mary Carey Foley, who also is recommended by the Wentworth, was a continuously poised, charismatic, and inspirational presence. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day and experience.

Working with the Wentworth was one of the best choices we made with regard to our wedding by far. Laura and her team not only made the day as seamless and enjoyable as possible, but they also made us feel like they were personally invested in us and our day. My mom is extremely health compromised and Laura and her staff went above and beyond to make sure that she was well taken care of and looked after, which was one of the best ways they could have taken care of my (now) husband and me. For every single component of this process, from suggesting vendors, to responsiveness and complete partnership in building out our wedding, to the incredible food, service, presentation, and attention to detail, Laura and her staff went above and beyond at every single turn. They truly helped make our day as special and memorable and delightful as possible, and they really cared for us. We couldn’t be more grateful to them! The venue itself is also stunning, with beautiful photo opportunities both in the gardens and down by the marina, as well as stunning ballroom options for the reception! We made the BEST decision choosing Wentworth by the Sea! Working with Laura Abraham Long was an absolute dream. She is a TOP-NOTCH Professional who guided us with her years of expertise, knowledge and happy demeanor all the time. She perfected the \"attention to detail\" phrase. She always made us feel special. The Wentworth's outstanding food and beverage selections are highly recommended. The wide variety of appetizers and entrees to choose from are fabulous and delicious. The Maine Scallops Wrapped in Bacon and the Mini Beef Wellingtons are a must have! Everyone from our Wedding had nothing but praise for the incredible Duet (Filet and Lobster Tail) - it was DELICIOUS!! The Signature White Glove Presidential Service of the dinner was spectacular to watch. Every detail, from glass of champagne to all Guests on arrival after the ceremony, to the beautiful Wentworth Ballroom - everything was absolutely magical. We had our Wedding Ceremony on the Property in the Garden which was so beautiful and felt like a dream come true. Every staff member was extremely accommodating and a pleasure to work with. We can't say enough how absolutely wonderful and elegant our wedding was at the Wentworth. We had ZERO issues with anything - 100% perfection!! We would do it all over again hands down.

Laura and her team are incredible! Planning a wedding during a pandemic is hard but Laura was honest, transparent, and understanding of the difficult situation. They helped us navigate a safe and intimate wedding for our closest friends and family. It was truly a perfect day and I'm so grateful for the Wentworth team! The recommended vendors including Jardiniere Flowers, C-Zone Entertainment, Jacques Pastries, and Portsmouth Invitation Company were all a pleasure to work with and it was really helpful that they had worked with the Wentworth team for past events. Some vendors had also collaborated with the office staff at the church and it felt like they came together as a unified team to take care of every detail allowing me to feel at ease on my wedding day.We did have out of town guests and family members who were not comfortable with traveling during the peak of the Covid pandemic in January (we got married on 1/1/21), but we are already planning on a reunion at the Wentworth when it's safe so that everyone is able to enjoy spending time together at this beautiful venue. It would be a treat to work with Laura and her team again in the future!

Amazing Venue and Staff!Beautiful, elegant, timeless - and that's just the exterior of Wentworth by the Sea, A Marriott Hotel and Spa! Our wedding was truly a bright light amidst a rough 2020. Wentworth by the Sea, especially Director of Catering, Laura Abraham Long, took incredible care of us and our guests. I absolutely recommend WbtS as your wedding venue - in or out of a Pandemic. We began planning our wedding in August 2019 and were provided with great care and transparent information regarding services and pricing. In Nov. 2019 Laura invited us to attend a fabulous tasting party at WbtS where we could experience the Wentworth Ballroom decked out in a glamorous state, meet an array of vendors, and taste WbtS's fantastic food. Our wedding was to be in late June of 2020. As the east coast shut down due to covid19, we had to make the overwhelming decision to wait it out or postpone our wedding. Laura was transparent and thoughtful in helping us reschedule our wedding, and the venue was incredibly generous in working with us to adapt our contract from 200 guests down to 58 guests. There were many new rules for guest and staff safety that could have made our reception feel awkward - but in fact, WbtS went above and beyond to make us and our guests feel safe, happy, and (almost) normal! Our wedding took place on Oct. 24, 2020 and it was the day of our dreams. Even all masked up you could tell that every guest was grinning! The food was fantastic (we're still hearing from guests on how great their meals were), we were able to have a socially distant dance floor, a (masked up) band, and we danced all night! It was absolutely a party and my husband and I feel so fulfilled. (And PS - guests quarantined and were tested before arriving to the hotel, and everyone was very serious about wearing their masks and practicing social distancing during the wedding festivities.)

We got married at the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel back in September, and were overall very happy with our experience. Just one month before our wedding, our original venue cancelled on us and we found ourselves frantically searching for another. While we hadn't even considered The Wentworth initially, believing it was too far outside of our set budget and \"grand\" for the small, intimate wedding we had envisioned; it was actually the perfect place for a socially-distanced covid wedding. The onsite coordinator, Laura, was very helpful, flexible, and accommodating; and we were able to pull off a beautiful celebration within a few short weeks with her guidance. Areas for Improvement: Our package included table-side coffee & tea service, but it was never offered to our guests; once Laura had finished for the night, it seemed as though the rest of the team was only focused on cleaning up and disappeared entirely once all plates had been cleared; food was inconsistent from our tasting. The chicken dish was perfection at the tasting, while we had simply been satisfied with the steak. Reversely, the chicken was dry, yet the steak was INCREDIBLE at the reception (which was strange because it was just 50 guests in a 250 capacity ballroom). While the improvement areas seem to cast a shadow on what I had hoped to be a glowing review, three things is nothing compared to all else that was perfectly executed. The Wentworth far exceeded our expectations - I would highly recommend it, and wouldn't hesitate to utilize their services for future event needs. 4 stars, but if it had been possible, I would have rated it a 4.5 :)

We had minimal experience in wedding planning and throughout our engagement, Holly was incredibly responsive and provided many options to our questions and inquiries. Almost all of our wedding vendors knew Holly or had worked with her in the past, some visited with her prior to our wedding and come the day of, our vendors worked as a great team to make our day incredibly special. We held our ceremony and reception at Wentworth on a hot, July day. The sights were stunning and the proximity allowed us to maximize our time with guests and minimize logistics. We feel so grateful to have gotten married at the Wentworth by the Sea. It was an absolute dream! We hosted our garden ceremony on the back lawn and our reception in the Wentworth Ballroom in August and couldn’t be happier with our decision. We utilized the gardens, marina, and the porch for our wedding photos and they are absolutely stunning. The garden was impeccably maintained for our ceremony. The beauty of the building speaks for itself. We didn’t bring much into the space decoration-wise because we didn’t want to take away from the classic, historical features. We are almost eight weeks out from our wedding and our guests are still raving about how delicious the food was. From cocktail hour to each course everything was delectable. I still dream about the sea bass. In addition the grilled cheese station was an amazing late night snack. The white-glove service is impressive. It was really cool to watch each table be served! Our coordinator, Erin Blake, made wedding planning a breeze from start to finish. Throughout the twelve months we worked with Erin was professional, attentive, responsive, and detail oriented. She was always accessible via email and made the time to speak on the phone or in person whenever I requested. We didn’t utilize a wedding planner she was so good, and it was clear she genuinely cared that our day was organized and everything we wanted it to be. I couldn’t be more thankful to have worked with her! Thank you to all of the Wentworth staff, especially Erin and our banquet manager, for taking such wonderful care of us, our family and friends and making it a wedding we'll all remember! We feel so grateful to have gotten married at the Wentworth by the Sea. It was an absolute dream! We hosted our garden ceremony on the back lawn and our reception in the Wentworth Ballroom in August and couldn’t be happier with our decision. Our wedding was spectacular. We worked closely with Erin in the planning process who was fantastic. Every detail was thought of and taken care of. Day-of banquet managers were equally great. So attentive during the entire reception. Everyone raved about the food and how beautiful the wedding was. I will say that the room block/guests booking rooms was a hassle because it goes through the national phone number and not the Wentworth itself. My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Wentworth by the Sea on 8/31/19 and we could not be more happy with our choice in venue! The Wentworth was absolutely perfect and we had the wedding of our dreams there. The venue itself was beautiful from the Wentworth Ballroom, to the cocktail hour area with views of the water, to the lobby, the guest rooms, the restaurants, and the spa. Everything there was perfect and well-planned. The grounds and the marina were gorgeous for photos, which we loved. All of our wedding guests are still raving about the food at the wedding as well and we were told it was some of the best food they've ever had at a wedding! Laura Abraham Long was our wedding planner/senior catering manager at the Wentworth and she was absolutely phenomenal. We cannot say enough good things about her. She worked with us from the time we first visited the venue until our dinner was served at our wedding - which was over the course of about 19 months! She was professional, organized, and so very kind. She was so easy to work with and kept us on track throughout the entire planning process. We are so happy that we chose to have our wedding at the Wentworth, it was a weekend we will never forget!

I am so happy that we chose to have our wedding at the Wentworth By The Sea Hotel. Their wedding coordinator Laura is professional, detail oriented, and fun to work with. She made sure our special day was perfect. The Garden Gazebo was such a beautiful setting for our ceremony. The flowers and lawn are meticulously maintained. The day of our wedding was over 90 degrees, but Laura and her team made sure there was a cold water station and that guests felt welcome inside the hotel before the ceremony began. The Grand Ballroom for our reception felt so classy and elegant. We had about 120 guests and it was a perfect size. Some of our guests commented that every seat in the ballroom was a great seat. The biggest hit with our guests was definitely the food. The steak and salmon were cooked to perfection and the butternut squash raviolis were delicious. The grilled cheese station was an amazing late night snack. Definitely worth the add on. During cocktail hour the serving staff made sure there was a continuous flow of appetizers. I could go on and on about how impressive every detail was. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend having your wedding at the Wentworth By The Sea Hotel.

Our coordinator, Laura was extremely helpful from beginning to end. She was accommodating, knowledgeable, quick to respond to all of my emails/questions, professional, organized and great to work with. We didn't use a wedding planner because her assistance was more than enough! She helped us plan the perfect day and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. The scenes were beautiful from drive in, the marina back drop for pictures, and the hotel inside and out. In fact, the Wentworth is a great place with so much charm you really don't have to go overboard with decorations because the beauty speaks for itself. Our guests have raved about the food and the white-glove service - it was really cool to watch and was a great touch to a perfect day.We worked with Laura Abraham from our first tour of the facility through to the end. We worked with Laura Abraham Long who did a wonderful job guiding us through the whole process. We did not use a wedding planner because she was so helpful. She directed us to vendors that were the same- professional and responsive. We used her vendors. Throughout the day, we did not experience one glitch. It was a perfect day. Many guests stayed at the hotel and after the wedding reception, so many people raved about the whole day. It is the perfect venue for a classy, elegant wedding reception.

The hotel is more than gorgeous, the rooms are magnificent, the spa was beautiful, and planning process was more than easy. Laura made the planning process so smooth and stress-free. First off, I wish I could give the Wentworth more than 5 stars. I cannot recommend enough hosting your wedding here. My husband and I got married in April of 2018, and everyone from the valet and check in, to the GM of the hotel, extended exceptional service starting the very first day my husband and I went to the Wentworth to decide if we wanted to have our wedding there. We worked with Laura, and I cannot say enough about her and her team, and the level of professionalism they provided. She not only efficient at her job but made the planning and decision process fun for my husband and I. We had our ceremony and reception on site, and Laura and her team did a fantastic job with the organization and flow of both. My husband and I live in Boston, so it was a lot of back and forth and emails in the planning process, but Laura was very accommodating to our schedules, took every stress I had, and never once let me down. She was prompt in her email responses and returning phone calls. My husband is from Ecuador, so we had a lot of out of town guests attending our wedding. Brian in reservations was outstanding helping me organize everyones reservations that do not live in this country. When my husband and I arrived on the Friday afternoon before the wedding, his car broke down in the valet lane, Laura and her team, as well as the AGM of the hotel took care of the entire situation for us of having his car towed to the nearest dealership. Also, on the day of the wedding, an hour and a half before the ceremony there was a huge mishap with my fathers tuxedo pants, again Laura and the GM resolved the issue and got him a brand new pair of tux pants, hemmed to his measurements in all! The food was outstanding! One of the most difficult parts of the process was deciding what we wanted to serve because everything was amazing! Laura helped me choose additional accent linens to make our reception pop. The white glove presidential service during the reception was a beautiful touch, our guests appreciated how well they were taken care of. We also hosted a brunch on Sunday morning, and again the service and food did not disappoint. The Wentworth Hotel is a gorgeous setting for a wedding and we are so happy we got married here. Laura and her staff, as well as the entire staff of the hotel, will give you and your guests outstanding service every step of the way. I have no regrets or complaints about the Wentworth Hotel, they truly helped me to have my fairytale wedding! I want to plan another event just so I can work with Laura again!

We planned our wedding from across the country (mostly via email), and literally every detail went off without a hitch - thanks in large part to Laura and the staff at Wentworth. The staff at the Wentworth are equally fantastic - from the door men who greet you with friendly conversation and helpful assistance, to the catering staff who prepare excellent quality food, to the restaurant and bar staff who treated us wonderfully before our big day, to the waiters who provided perfect presidential service, and to the rest of the events team who work with Laura to make your big day perfect - we could not have been more pleased with how wonderful everyone treated us, and how well they each do their jobs.The Wentworth does require you work with several preferred vendors. However, the preferred vendors are absolutely amazing. They require the best, and it is obvious. Everyone we worked with was extremely professional, experienced, and excellent quality. Because the vendors have worked with the Wentworth so often, their service is seamless. Planning a wedding from afar was almost too easy with this team! I would highly recommend choosing the Wentworth hotel for your wedding. Our wedding was so perfect, we truly could not be happier with how our big day turned out, and we cannot thank the Wentworth hotel enough for making it happen.

The Wentworth By The Sea as a reception site was absolutely amazing. The beauty of this historical building was unrivaled by any other reception site we looked at. The best part, and the main reason we chose The Wentworth, was the food and staff. The food was (I'm biased as this was our wedding) the best food I have ever eaten at a wedding. My family attends the New Year's Eve brunch every year, and that is how we knew their food would be perfect. The staff made Zach and I feel so special on our big day. At our sweetheart table, numerous staff came up to serve us food and drink, but also to check on us, congratulate us, and just chit chat. They were so professional and kind and there when you needed them but also great at blending in. Can't wait to see our wedding pictures - it was a lovely day!

Both our ceremony and reception were held on site, as well as our rehearsal dinner the night before, and our brunch the morning after. We both couldn’t have been happier with the experience we had from beginning to end while working with everyone at Wentworth. We worked most closely with Jaime Staples who is absolutely amazing. She is so kind and patient, and she’s honest, which you really appreciate as a bride during the planning process. Now that the wedding is over, I really miss talking to Jaime all the time – she was always available for me as well as my parents, who will also always have a very special appreciation for her. Each and every event we held at the venue as part of our wedding was absolutely flawless. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. We feel very lucky that we were able to share this special time in our lives with the wonderful staff and beautiful setting of Wentworth. This venue truly does offer all of the best and only the best in every regard.

My husband I had our wedding at the Wentworth by the Sea Marriott. We knew the moment we met with the wedding coordinator, we could see ourselves getting married at the Wentworth. Every meeting we had with our wedding planner made the prepping so easy! If you are looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience, this is the place! \r\rEverything before and during our wedding was such a great experience. Everyone we met were helpful and personable. For the day of the wedding, my husband and I did not have to worry about a thing. We were able to enjoy the morning getting ready, spending time with friends and family, and most importantly, relax! All of the preparations were taken care of by the staff of the Wentworth.\r\rThe ceremony in the garden was beautiful and we did not have any embellishments because it was amazing by itself! The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception went very smoothly. All of our guests had an amazing time, food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. I have no complaints for the Wentworth because the experience was wonderful. I highly recommend them for a wedding!

She understood what type of wedding we wanted and worked with us on how to accomplish our goal.\r\rOne of the main benefits of going with a Wentworth package is that you work with the preferred Wentworth vendors. Every vendor helped us during our engagement and made our event so special. Deborah from Maine-ly NH was especially helpful and had so many ideas for how to enhance our day with our programs, favors, signage, etc ...\r\rThe price tag for the Wentworth is hefty but absolutely worth the money. The cost per plate is inclusive of so many amenities and great service. More importantly, the actual food is delicious and there are great options for all menus.\r\rAll in all, we absolutely loved our Wentworth wedding and look forward to going back to celebrate our anniversaries. If you're searching for a New England wedding - definitely include the Wentworth in your search!

We were married at the Wentworth in the summer of 2010. We used the Grand Ballroom (the moderate-sized original one) and had approximately 120 guests. Jennifer O'Leary, our coordinator at the Wentworth was really wonderful- detail-oriented, prompt, polite, calm, and attentive. I can't say enough great things about her. The Wentworth itself, particularly the Grand Ballroom, is absolutely stunning. We didn't even seriously consider any other venues, really. The food was phenomenal and the service was pretty good, though the food came out slower for dinner than I would have liked. The Wentworth also worked with me to find something that every guest could eat, be they vegan or allergic to one ingredient only. I will say that it is very expensive and the contracts are fairly strict- remember that this hotel is owned by Marriott, so everything follows Marriott rules. For example, the bar packages seemed limiting and the minimums in terms of guests and costs were set very high. You definitely follow their timeline, from when you arrive to when you have to get out of the reception area. There aren't a lot of great a la carte options if you don't want to go with one of the Wentworth wedding packages. On the other hand, using a package makes things so easy- you have enough control over the event so that you can personalize it, but not so much that you are running around the day before chasing random rental vendors. \r I took off a star for value, because I feel like it was still a bit overpriced, and one star overall because I did get the feeling from contracts and some people that the Wentworth is a business and puts itself first over its customers, even on their wedding day.
