Located near York, NE, Wessels Living History Farm is an educational non-profit farm created to teach people about farm life on a Nebraska farm. This working 1920s farm makes a great space to enjoy a uniquely important day. You and your loved ones may enjoy a rustic and welcoming atmosphere throughout your wedding celebrations. Wessels Living History Farm is just south of both York and Interstate 80, accessed through Exit 353 on Highway 81. This unique locale features classic buildings and an authentic country ambience. The post and beam barn is originally from a farm near Surprise, NE, and includes most of the stall walls on the east side. A stall is usually used as a bar, photo booth, or storage area. The west side is more open and often used for a buffet reception, tables, or both. The loft area may be decorated for viewing from the main level. A concrete floor and ample electrical outlets make this a practical space, while the displayed tools and tack make it a beautiful one. The main room is 667 square feet, the east side is 546 square feet, and the permanent tent outside is 540 square feet. The 1905 church was formerly in Thayer, NE, as the Zion Lutheran Church. *The church is currently undergoing renovations* Dave's house, from York itself, is furnished as a 1925 farmhouse.
