Natalie J(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-09-2022 I had my wedding reception at the Westin a couple weeks ago and was grateful for their flexibility. My ceremony started at 2pm and ran late, which made my guests show up to the hotel by 5pm! Luckily, the staff at the Westin were understanding and were still ready for my guests when they showed up and my meal was still hot. Their staff was overly helpful and fast with cleaning tables (definitely no staff shortages here). They also let us come back the next morning to pick up our decorations (which wasn't much, because they had boxed them up for me!) Most venues charge for the next morning or they don't allow it at all. I would recommend the Westin to any couple who is looking for patient and helpful staff. Reviewed on 26-09-2022
Amanda K(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-07-2022 We had our wedding reception at The Westin and loved it! Not only was it convenient to have our reception in the same place our guests were staying, but the hotel is also attached to the Galleria mall. This was perfect for last minute shopping! We also booked an appointment at the salon for my bridesmaids to get their nails done in the morning, which was nice because we didn't have to get dressed and drive somewhere. Bonus, it is right next to a Starbucks! There was even an event in the lobby with Justin Hartley when we checked in! How cool that it happened to be on the same weekend! I would 100% recommend The Westin for a wedding reception. There is no arranging sober cabs after a reception, all inclusive pricing, and close to the airport and highway. Reviewed on 05-08-2022
Amy M(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-07-2022 I would highly recommend the Westin! They were great at being flexible with our meeting times and with our food selections. Our guests also commented on the free parking and the malls nearby. We had our reception in the Baird Ballroom and were even told we could use the space outside the room including the courtyard outside. This was perfect for our family to have more space to socialize! I wouldn't change a thing. Having my wedding at a hotel was convenient and affordable. I didn't have to worry about finding transportation and my guests were able to go up to their rooms when the event was over. Great service and great staff! Reviewed on 25-07-2022

Mikayla Dalton(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-10-2021 Unfortunately, the only good things about the venue were the food and the service/waiting staff. Beyond that nothing else really lived up to our expectations. Most of the issues stem from the event coordinator’s communication being sub-par. We went weeks with un-responded emails and voicemails. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt knowing we aren’t the only wedding (and that their normal workflow was disrupted by covid), but to hear NOTHING for weeks at a time was very stressful for us as we tried to coordinate with vendors and iron out detail. This was especially stressful as we approached the wedding date. There were also a couple of miscommunications regarding the hosted bar, as well as some ceremony set up and tear down. While the food was good and the service staff was attentive and professional, overall, we don’t recommend this venue due to the issues we had with communication and coordination. Katie Swanke(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-10-2018 I was extremely impressed by the attentiveness of the Westin team leading up to and during our wedding day. Tyler is amazing and put so much thought into every detail! You can tell there is a very high standard of service @ this venue. I would highly recommend! Reviewed on 17-06-2019
Carolyn Rucke(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-09-2014 Everything at the Westin was perfect and lovely! Most importantly, the service was incredible! Tyler was so helpful in planning the event and is very professional. Alejandro was also extremely professional and very talented. The entire staff worked cohesively and flawlessly to ensure a fabulous event. The Westin was a dream come true but it is important to be aware of the cost of drinks for guests. I had not paid enough attention to the prices of drinks after the cocktail hour and was a little shocked at the prices (so just be aware of everything for guests). The food was OUTSTANDING. I did not receive one negative comment about food. An example of the class exhibited at the Westin includes dressing all salads individually at the table. Overall, the Westin was wonderful and I am so glad we had our reception there! Reviewed on 27-10-2014
Melissa Welle(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-08-2014 This place is fine if you plan on just spending the night. But do NOT have your wedding there. They will ruin your day.\r\rIt's been almost 4 weeks since my wedding, and I'm still livid about my experience with my venue. \rLeading up to the wedding we had major issues with the room block. We had guests not able to seamlessly book rooms. They kept telling us they needed to raise the rate for the rooms all while kayak.com and their own website were offering lower rates. We had issues with them making the correct deposit at the correct time. We had issues trying to get quotes and additional services from them. They were all absurdly priced with the promise of a Westin Experience. Funny, after reading this post you can see what type of experience they really offer! They provided us with minimal documentation throughout the entire process and even messed up the official contract. They never disclosed how they calculate their per drink consumption and then had the audacity to pour $36+ drinks at the reception. There was very little professionalism after the point of sale which makes us believe this place operates like a sleazy used car sales shop. To add to this, I was addressed by the wrong name in an email. My name is in the email address! That is just not acceptable! \rOn the day of our wedding, we had no point of contact that could help us with the venue despite being promised individuals and a their 'team' would be there to help. We were running to the front desk asking for assistance in opening rooms that should have been available. Additionally, personal items were moved from rooms and took a really long time to find. This included my professional flowers for family members and purses of the bridesmaids. I don't have a single wedding photo with my dad with his boutonniere on. :( Our card box was not removed. We asked multiple times about it. Finally, my father left the reception and brought it to his room. We were promised a water station, but this was not available which led to our guests consuming their ridiculously priced fiji waters. The bartenders were inexperienced, stopped carding towards the end, and when asked had no idea how drinks were being accounted for. After 3 weeks, we finally got our invoice. And it's been like pulling teeth to get details from them. Our wedding suite (a business conference room) was not ready until the evening. My husband (the groom) had to leave the ceremony to check in. \rI would recommend anybody that has already been suckered into the Westin Edina Galleria to get a Wedding Planner, a Wedding Lawyer and purchase Wedding Insurance. They certainly will not provide any helpful service on the day and breach your contract. You also will not be treated professionally, nor have apologies provided on them missing their mark. What a headache! I'm one very upset and disappointed bride. Thankfully I have a beautiful marriage and memories of a miserable wedding. It's much better than having a beautiful wedding and memories of a miserable marriage. Reviewed on 19-09-2014

GustieRx Member(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-05-2012 We hosted our rehearsal dinner here, and also had our wedding block here. \r\rThere were a few hiccups during the rehearsal dinner planning process, mainly with getting the contract/signing the contract, but after that working with the Westin was wonderful. The food was SO good, the venue was beautiful, and the dinner went off without the slightest hitch. It was a little pricier than other options, but we got so many comments about how the food was the best they’d ever had, and how wonderful the venue was. I would HIGHLY recommend the Westin for any events.\r\rHotel Block:\rThe rooms were incredible, and again we got so many compliments about the location, staff, and rooms themselves. The price was pretty competitive with other hotels in the area, a little bit more but the rooms were way nicer. We have no regrets with choosing the Westin for our block. Reviewed on 03-06-2012
