Amy Milton(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-11-2020 Westward Look is an amazing place to have your wedding. I wanted something with a Southwest and desert feel with a view of mountains. The rooftop was perfect for that. The grounds have lots of beautiful places for photo ops. The staff was very helpful and accommodating and I even had my rehearsal dinner there. Most importantly, the venue was very willing to work with us during covid to do the type of wedding we felt comfortable with. I would definitely recommend Westward Look to any Tucson bride! Lauren Hammond(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-09-2018 Having our wedding at Westward Look a couple weeks ago was a literal dream come true! My now husband and I searched all over Tucson for a venue that catered towards all of our wishes (seated dinner, desert landscape, private area with close proximity for all wedding events) and when we stumbled upon Westward Look we knew it was the place for us. Lori was the greatest coordinator I could've asked for- she's incredibly sweet, funny, thoughtful, diligent, and answered my endless emails with joy. Not only did Lori bend over backwards for us, but the entire staff at WL made us feel welcomed and loved on both our wedding day and the subsequent days my husband and I stayed at the resort! It was professionalism at it's finest- we truly felt like VIPs the entire weekend. I would recommend WL for any wedding in a heartbeat. Reviewed on 17-09-2018

Ana-Alicia Siqueiros(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-10-2016 Our wedding was October 8th, 2016. Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort and Spa is the must-book venue for your Tucson wedding! Representative of the area itself with such a rich history, the venue is absolutely stunning! You can tell that there is a sincere care for how it looks and is kept. The majority of our guests were from out-of-town so we wanted a place that would showcase Tucson and its beauty. Westward Look was it! Sonoran rooftop allowed a beautiful sunset backdrop to our cocktail reception. Coming from NYC, the standard size guest rooms are a treat as they are larger than many 1-bedroom apartments! Our guests LOVED the accommodations.Planning a wedding from across the country of where your wedding venue is may not always seem like an easy feat. Despite having a staff change in point of contact and the venue undergoing a menu change while we planned, David Toler and his entire staff made us feel 100% comfortable and reassured we were in good hands. They were flexible to plan ahead with us as we had limited time in-person on our few trips to Tucson. David was incredible attentive throughout our time worked with him -- responsive to emails and phone calls, if he did not have an answer, he was able to find out right away. The staff as a whole was quick to react as we had a burst of showers right before the cocktail reception. Without a blink of an eye, the staff put the roof up on the Sonoran rooftop. We were very impressed with David and his execution of our planning and willingness to communicate and work with our other vendors (wedding planner, DJ, etc.). WWL was able to accommodate our requests (no matter how big or how small) and even allowed input on guest room groupings! They helped allow us to personalize the weekend. The front desk and dining staff on-site always made guests feel welcome. The bridal suite is jaw-dropping in size and how beautiful it is! It was perfect to get ready in and for the weekend. WWL as a venue is reasonably priced, have delicious food, make you feel like family, and genuinely care for you and your event! I cannot recommend working with WWL enough for your wedding. Rachel Lacy(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-06-2016 Westward Look was the perfect place to have our wedding! We had our ceremony on the beautiful Sonoran Rooftop, cocktail hour on the terrace below and the reception inside the Sonoran Ballroom. It was 110 degrees but the guests were kept cool with the misters that are on the rooftop. Chris the coordinator was amazing! He worked with us since day 1 to make sure everything was perfect and was always willing to answer any question at anytime. We also had our rehearsal dinner and next day brunch there which he coordinated perfectly as well! The food was great and the service of the servers and bartenders at the reception was top notch. We had almost 1/3 of the guests that attended the wedding stay at the resort and they all raved about the costumer service of every person at the resort. The only thing I would suggest is possibly booking your own bridal getting ready room because the one we were given was very small and the other choice to that was a conference room, but otherwise everything was flawless! Westward Look was a perfect place to get married! Reviewed on 22-06-2016
Gina Boday(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-07-2017 For us, Westward Look reflected exactly what we envisioned for our Arizona wedding: Southwestern elegance. We loved the idea of having our ceremony, reception and guest rooms in one beautiful location, and this resort met all of our needs. With the Catalina Mountains looming in the background, the Sonoran rooftop was a beautiful location for our ceremony, followed by a reception in the Catalina ballroom with views of the twinkling Tucson city lights. The resort staff were very helpful and accommodating, but the star of the resort is Chris McClaren. Chris was there with us every step of the way, and was very helpful, responsive, and a true problem solver. The food was outstanding - and great portion sizes, too! We had the prickly pear margaritas as our signature cocktail, and guests loved them! The only way Westward Look could be a better wedding venue would be to offer more chair/linen options. Thanks to Westward Look and Chris for making our wedding a truly magical event! Reviewed on 08-05-2016
jane f(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-10-2015 We had our wedding at the Westward Look Resort on October 10, 2015. The resort and setting are beautiful and provided for a wonderful environment (not too big, not too small) to celebrate our day and weekend with about 80 guests, most of whom came from out of town. The ceremony took place on the Sonoran rooftop and the sunset that evening was breathtaking. We hosted a reception on the Palm Terrace while the Westward Look staff set up the rooftop for our wedding dinner, cake cutting ceremony, and dancing. We live out of state and relied heavily on the resort's on-site event coordinator, Chris McLaren, who was amazing and made the entire process easy and pleasant. He worked with us through all of the details for the weekend, provided helpful ideas and suggestions, including ones for local vendors, and was creative when working with our budget. He was also on site to assist with the rehearsal and other details of the weekend. We hosted a rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding, the wedding dinner, and a brunch the Sunday morning after. The food at all three events was excellent and we received many compliments from our guests on both the meals and the resort itself. We cannot say enough good things about Chris, the attentive and professional Westward Look staff, and the remarkably beautiful Sonoran desert setting. Reviewed on 04-02-2016

You cannot believe the beautiful Sonoran rooftop ceremony space where the desert and mountains mesmorize your guests as you get married. The outstanding service from the staff is unrivaled in our experience. They are so attentive to every need. Chris McLaren the Sales and Catering director is so easy and wonderful to work with. He made sure every question we had was answered clearly and that every detail was seen to. He made us feel so comfortable and confident that our wedding would go off flawlessly, and it did! Kristin F(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-04-2014 I chose Westward Look for many reasons (location, price, rooftop reception) but a big reason was the raving reviews here on The Knot. I was incredibly disappointed throughout my entire experience. The highlight was Julie, the hotel room coordinator. She was amazing. She kept in touch with me about the room block and was incredibly on top of things, she even thanked me and sent best wishes after all was said and done. The coordinator Alyssa was frustrating. She never remembered me but always seemed to remember my maid of honor. The tasting was awkward. There was not one moment when I felt special or that Westward Look was grateful for my business (except for Julie). It was a busy weekend for them but as a business you should be ready and make it work.\r\rWestward Look did seem to charge for everything, I saw a few of the included center pieces and they were skimpy. I was never given a picture of the included centers, I feel like that's something you should have on hand; Alyssa only had pictures of ones done at weddings (which had been added to). I only saw the included arrangement when I was at Westward Look after the fact. \r\rThe service during the event was okay. There was only 1 waiter that really made us feel like he wanted our experience to be good. The lowest part of their service was when my now husband, sitting at the head table, ordered a mix drink and the server asks for cash (he didn't have any on him). Our open bar was only beer and wine but from a customer service stand point it left a really bad impression on us. I felt like the grooms mixed drink could have been deducted from our large open bar amount. We ended up needing tickets but this was all figured out during the reception, not once was it mentioned before. Many waiters and waitresses just gave us a blank stare when we said he didn't have cash and the one waiter (mentioned before) actually made things happen (came up with the tickets). He even checked in with us throughout the night which was very sweet. \r\rOverall, the food was good with great sides. The steak with ancho chili sauce was a hit, the tarragon chicken was not. \r\rIt rained on our wedding day so we did not get to use the rooftop, luckily when you rent the rooftop you get the ballroom below too. The sun came out during the ceremony (at a church nearby) so we still did cocktail hour on the terrace which was gorgeous. Guests loved it! My wedding coordinator (not with Westward Look) figured it all out and it all turned out. We could celebrate as late as we wanted with no worries about the noise restriction at 10PM. \r\rThe resort is more rustic but some areas look very run down (it is the oldest resort in Tucson). One complaint from guests was how far you had to walk to your room, especially if a room key didn't work. Also, there is outdoor carpet just outside the entrance to the rooms which makes the resort look even more dated. Rooms were decent; our room the night of the wedding was included but looked just like all the other rooms. \r\rOverall- the venue location and views can make a beautiful event. The food/drink (alcohol and non-alcoholic) were expensive but people liked it. I hired a wedding coordinator separate from Westward Look and recommend doing that if you want your wedding here. Westward Look is the lowest priced resort for weddings but it’s still expensive without any perks or amazing service. I really don't feel like they tried very hard to make our weekend special. Fabiana Ceballos(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-10-2012 The resort is beautiful and the food is outstanding but if you are planning a wedding make sure you get what you what, because I just had a wedding there and the coordinator Alyssa was awful! Lack of enthusiasm, she treated my wedding like any other wedding, I mean at least you can fake that you are happy for us. We felt like we were always digging for information, she forgot a lot of things that we wanted like champagne for a toast! She didn't write it down when we talked about it so at the wedding we felt very upset to have been talking about this confusion that we had agreed on.She told me it was to windy for the isle runner when it was not windy. Therefore I didn't have one, I gave her some decorations and she didn't put them on. She came up to us at the reception at least 3 times!! I felt that all that could have been avoid. We didn't get the attention we wanted, We truly thought she was going to step it up at the end but she never did. Never thank us for having our wedding there, I don't know how she has a job there when she really doesn't care. Reviewed on 07-11-2012
