You don't need to do everything in one day!
Whispering Pines Event Center is a wedding venue located in Poynette, WI. Conveniently located only 30 minutes away from Madison, this venue offers a serene escape for couples to celebrate their joyous day. Throughout four acres of wooded meadows, the beauty of the Wisconsin countryside abounds, setting a romantic atmosphere for couples to host their dream wedding. To enjoy their wedding day to fullest extent, couples are invited to extend their one-day rental to a full-weekend rental. With this option, up to 8 hours are offered for setup, rehearsal and even rehearsal dinner the day before the wedding and up to 2 hours are offered the day after for pickup of personal items. With the full-weekend rental, couples are offered a very generous 16 hours of access to the venue on their wedding day! One-day rentals provide 14 hours of access. Throughout the Whispering Pines Event Center, couples are invited to choose from a number of event spaces for their ceremony, reception, or rehearsal dinner. The venue’s main banquet hall is a versatile open-plan space that can transform to help bring your vision to life. Featuring exposed brick walls, solid-wood ceiling beams, and elegant chandeliers, this ballroom and bar area can be fully customized to suit your needs. To ensure that your wedding day runs smoothly, the team at Whispering Pines Event Center provides a wide range of services. They are committed to cultivating a welcoming environment for both you and your guests. Members of staff will be on hand throughout your event, allowing you to focus on your celebration without worrying about the small details. Drawing on years of rich experience, the team is happy to provide a list of recommended vendors based on your preferences and requirements. Friendly and professional bartenders are included in a variety of bar packages designed to fit virtually any budget. A number of event items are also available for use, including tables, chairs, a ceremony arch, and audio equipment. On-site parking is available at this wheelchair-accessible venue.

The space is so beautiful for weddings inside and out! Scott and Krista are amazing!!! They go above and beyond expectations in every way. I loved how flexible and helpful they are. It made our big day stress free. I also love how they are always looking to improve their venue. Scott and Krista and their venue is nothing less than spectacular!

There aren’t enough words to describe how wonderful our experience was. By far the most affordable venue for the experience we got. We were able to have the venue the entire weekend for the price that some pay for one night at others. Krista is so responsive and informative with any questions. Scott met us at the venue as early as we needed the day of and for the rehearsal dinner. It’s hard to find people who genuinely care about providing you with the best experience in this industry. They handled our rowdy wedding party with grace and stepped in to assist other vendors who were struggling. That I had no idea about until after the wedding was over. They stayed late to help my mom clean up and assisted some of our guests in getting a ride home safely who missed the shuttle. The location of the venue offers many options for outdoor ceremonies. As well as many spots for photo ops. The outdoor patio is stunning for guests who don’t love the dance floor. If you want a stress free wedding day with a venue who can fix problems before you even realize there are any, then this is your venue.

Krista is super helpful and would always return my emails within 24 hours (usually much sooner than that!). They answered all of my questions - and I had a lot! One of the things we liked the most is that we really got to make our wedding our own. They were super flexible with almost everything! \t\tWe held the rehearsal at the venue and did low-key burgers and brats. No problem.\t\tWe purchased tokens so everyone got a drink from us for the rehearsal. No problem. \t\tWe had to arrive at the venue at 645am on the wedding day. No problem. \t\tWe wanted to have a drink just for the cocktail hour. No problem.\t\tI wanted all drinks for the wedding party (that were in mason jars) to be on our tab for the wedding day. No problem. \t\tWe went through more than twice as much beer as we expected! No problem.\t\tThere was a dead branch in a spot that we were considering for the ceremony and we wanted it removed. No problem. \t\tWe wanted to hold the ceremony in a different spot than they usually had it. No problem. \tWe wanted to have ice cream for dessert instead of cake - and needed freeze space for that. No problem.\t\tWe did DIY florals and needed space for the bouquets after set up on Friday. No problem. \t\tKrista and Scott were great to work with. They were super accommodating, loved to hear our ideas, and were happy to help in any way that they could to make it happen!\t\tThe 8 hours we had the day before and the few hours the following day to clean up were EXTREMELY helpful!!!! I can't imagine the stress of trying to do all of that stuff spread out over three days in just one day!\t\tThe quaintness of the outdoors, the beauty of the inside, and how lovely the patio is made this the perfect venue for us! We also really took advantage of the beautiful props they have on hand including the hexagon arch, white drapery for behind the head table, 12 panel window, whiskey barrels, and more! We received so many compliments about how nice everything was! \tKrista, Scott, and their team helped so much on the wedding day. Early on, I was a little concerned because I would ask them about doing certain things like filling water or setting out ice cream and they didn't want to be assigned to things. At that time, I really wasn't clear on what their role was and what they would be doing. But after the fact, I appreciate everything they BOTH did throughout the day! From last minute things, to set up and take down outside, to greeting & directing the vendors, to helping with ceremony timing, to ringing the bell, to cleaning up spills, to literally washing our dishes at the end of the night! Krista and Scott were wonderful to work with!! We had the most perfect day/weekend of our lives! And we're so grateful to Krista & Scott for not only their beautiful venue, but also their support, flexibility, and labor!

We planned our wedding while living out of state, and finding a venue was not an easy task. We are so happy we stumbled on Whispering Pines. The owners, Krista and Scott, went out of their way to give us a FaceTime tour and we booked the place without ever seeing it in person. They always responded to (many) questions quickly and were honest, flexible and transparent about everything. The indoor space was a beautiful backdrop for our reception, and there are multiple options to choose from for an outdoor ceremony (all of them great!). We loved the option to book for the whole weekend so we could do all of the set-up and clean-up ourselves as well as host the rehearsal dinner on-site the night before. We cannot say enough about how wonderful this venue and the owners are. We would choose Whispering Pines again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Krista & Scott!

We had quite the journey planning our wedding during the COVID pandemic to the point where we did not have a venue 4-5 months before our wedding date! We discovered Whispering Pines Event Center-and from there everything went smoothly! Scott and Krista were amazing to work with and so welcoming. They were open to hearing our ideas and working with what we already had planned beforehand and allowed for us to come in on both Friday and Sunday for set up and takedown. They were also very helpful and made it possible to have my dream outdoor wedding right in between two thunderstorms and a tornado warning(the weather worked around our ceremony perfectly). The venue itself is gorgeous(both inside and outside) and provides space for a large amount of guests. It was truly the best day of our lives. We loved whispering pines and 100% are recommend it!

If you are looking for an absolutely beautiful wedding venue and amazing owners, Whispering Pines is your place. Due to COVID, we decided to switch our wedding venue four months before our big day. Krista and Scott jumped in and made our replanning wedding process the easiest process ever. They truly are the kindest and most caring people to have a part of your wedding, I couldn't say enough amazing things about them and their venue. They give you the option, if available, to have the venue all weekend long, making it incredibly relaxing and easy to get things decorated and all ready for your big day. We received so many compliments on our wedding day, it was absolutely gorgeous and everything we dreamed it would be! If we had to do it all over again, we would 100% pick Whispering Pines every time. Highly recommend!!!

We searched high and low for a wedding venue to give us that special feeling, but nothing felt right until we discovered Whispering pines. While choosing our venue, we knew we wanted it to feel like home - a warm, inviting space, filled with love and all of our dearest loved ones and friends. Not only is Whispering Pines a beautiful place, but the owners Krista and Scott made us feel like family! They truly went above and beyond to make all of our wedding day dreams a reality. The first time we came to see the venue, we mentioned their old church bell and how special it would be if it rang for us after we were pronounced married ~ at the time it needed some repairs as the bell is original to this beautifully renovated church. Scott said he was hopeful to have it working by our wedding date. Not only did Scott manage to fix it, he climbed up on the roof to ring the bell for us himself. This was so special, and was just another one of the many gestures they did for us throughout our time working with them. They were so fun and made our day one we will truly never forget! We would choose Whispering pines 1000 times over again ~ we loved everything about our experience and give them a 5 star rating for communication, flexibility, honesty, transparency and willingness to go above and beyond for our special day! Thank you Scott and Krista ~ you guys are awesome!

Whispering Pines, and the owners Krista and Scott SAVED our wedding. We lost our original venue, and Krista was able to meet with us that same day to lock in our date. A month later, Covid hit and we had to reschedule. From answering emails within minutes, to meeting with us and helping us make our wedding safe for our attendees - we couldn’t have had a better wedding. By the end, Krista and Scott were friends, not just a vendor. I constantly say that Whispering Pines is was what made our wedding so special.

Whispering Pines is a beautiful venue inside and out. Scott and Krista were fantastic to work with willing to listen to my ideas and offer suggestions. There is so much natural beauty to Whispering Pines that I didn’t need to spend much time thinking about decorating. I highly recommend this venue. I was able to bring in my own caterers and supply my own beer and bartenders which was what I was looking for. I held my rehearsal dinner there Friday night after decorating and came again Sunday morning to clean up.

There is so much natural beauty to Whispering Pines that I didn’t need to spend much time thinking about decorating. I highly recommend this venue. I was able to bring in my own caterers and supply my own beer and bartenders which was what I was looking for. I held my rehearsal dinner there Friday night after decorating and came again Sunday morning to clean up.
