We had our wedding here on 10/6/18. We originally booked this venue when they had their event planner Courtney with them. We were worried when she quit but Jon did everything he could to make sure our day was perfect. Everyone was easy going and really helped with keeping the wedding planning process not stressful and. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding.

We had our ceremony and reception on 10-7-17. The space was Beautiful, the food tasted great, Courtney was the best coordinator ever! She was there the whole time and made sure everything went right on our day!The morning of the guys enjoyed their complementary 9 holes and my bridesmaids went to work decorating, Courtney even helped too! We were married on the balcony, and then took pictures on the course while the guest enjoyed cocktail hour in the sunset room. We had dinner and dancing in the ballroom and everyone had a great time.

We had our wedding in June of 2016, however, we found Whispering Pines nearly 1.5 years before the wedding itself. We searched (and visited) other venues extensively before finding Whispering Pines, and although it is a little bit out of the way, it was absolutely perfect! Everything fell into place and felt right with this venue including the price, the beauty of the venue inside and out, the food, and the coordinators. Everything looked like it was well thought out and the coordinator was very well experienced and we booked as soon as we could. We did much of our planning with our coordinator, Rachel, and we were extremely happy with the entire process. Every time we got to a point where we had to discuss details and go over new things, she did a wonderful job addressing everything and we felt extremely confident and happy!Unfortunately, just a few months before our wedding, Whispering Pines changed ownership, and with it, the event coordinator - which was extremely nerve racking to say the least. Courtney eventually came in and took over the role of event coordinator, and Whispering Pines could not have chosen a better person to take over this role. She handled the stress of the change-of-hands INCREDIBLY well. And I really cannot say enough wonderful things about how well Courtney took over our event and made sure it really turned out perfectly for us! To say that she went above and beyond would be a gross understatement. And she really personally sought to it that everything worked out exactly as we wanted it and it could not have turned out better! And that's not to say that problems didn't come up, because they absolutely did; but the fact that those problems were seemingly transparent to us as the bride and groom because of Courtney (to a large extent), speaks volumes.There were a few big things that we wanted out of our wedding: A great venue (Perfect!), a really great DJ to keep people having a blast (DJ Joe was fantastic!), and really great food. Under Rachel, Whispering Pines had a food tasting that we attended and we LOVED the food. However, the chef changed with the change of management, and with it the menu changed as well. Really, our menu wasn't affected, but it made us nervous that someone new was making dishes potentially unfamiliar to him. Well, the food was quite honestly one of the most heavily complimented parts of our wedding! Our guests really loved the food, and personally speaking, it was really fantastic!I think something else notable would be that we ended up having ~150 guests and we were worried that with a venue with a capacity up to 200-250 people, that there would be too much space. We had both the ballroom (for dinner) and the sunset room (for the \"party\"). But honestly, it was perfect! The extra space allowed a little more room in a great way and the space was utilized perfectly and it felt neither too big nor too small.Overall, we can't recommend Whispering Pines enough. Really, when you boil down the prices for the food, alcohol, cost of venue, etc., the value of Whispering Pines was much better than comparable venues, and really, it was much prettier too! We could not have been happier choosing Whispering Pines as our wedding and reception venue. Everything was perfect and we couldn't have imagined the day going smoother than it did! Courtney (the wedding/event coordinator) was the most amazing support throughout the process of planning to implementation. She went above and beyond with everything and was there to support us every minute we were at the venue. The venue is beautiful, the food was splendid, and the staff was accommodating and helpful at all times. Whispering Pines was the perfect venue and we HIGHLY recommend them to anyone, you will not be disappointed!

We could not have had a better experience with our venue than we had by choosing Whispering Pines. The staff is amazing and extremely helpful (the wedding coordinator here even helped bustle my dress)!!! The food was out of this world, the space is extremely beautiful, and the staff are super accommodating. I would highly recommend this venue for a full-service and incredible time, but also without breaking your bank for it! We are forever grateful for Whispering Pines for making our reception run smoothly!

We could not have had a better experience with our venue than we had by choosing Whispering Pines. The staff is amazing and extremely helpful (the wedding coordinator here even helped bustle my dress)!!! The food was out of this world, the space is extremely beautiful, and the staff are super accommodating. I would highly recommend this venue for a full-service and incredible time, but also without breaking your bank for it! I cannot say enough great things about this venue. From the very first meeting with Rachel I knew this was it.. this was where we were going to get married. The entrance way is beautiful with the huge fireplace and the balcony overhead and the large windows in the room with the large balcony outside, it’s perfect. I emailed Rachel with a lot of questions, we also had multiple in person meetings just to calm my nerves. Each time we met or spoke she always had an answer and always reassured me that everything would be beautiful and WOW it sure was. We held our rehearsal in the room as well and it was so nice to see things starting to come together since we were allowed to set-up the day before due to our wedding being on a Friday. The day was gorgeous and there were no issues, I have heard wonderful things from our friends and family that the entire staff was so helpful, professional and willing to lend a hand with anything! I had originally had a day of coordinator that fell through but in the end I really didn’t need one because Rachel and her assistant made sure that everything was according to plan. We also had the bridal suite the morning of for breakfast and hair/ make-up and this is where I tell you that the food… ALL of the food, from the rehearsal dinner, the breakfast to the wedding dinner is some of the best food I don’t think you would even have at a 5-star restaurant. Our friends and family keep saying we should get married again so they can get dinner at our venue again!! We had the Perfectly Plated package with a couple upgrades and as we were walking table to table every person told us it was the best wedding food they have ever had. I’m sure I’m missing some details of things I wanted to gush about but honestly if you’ve gotten this far, call Rachel, email her, meet her and go see it for yourself. I am fully convinced that our wedding day would not have gone so smooth and been so perfect if we had gone anywhere else. Thank you again to everyone at Whispering Pines! You’re the best!

We had the wedding and reception at Whispering Pines Golf Club in the Sunset room and patio just outside of it. The setting and grounds are beautiful, and all of the staff are very kind and friendly. The day of the wedding, everything was well executed and the food was delicious. The experience was not without incident, but everything was either able to be addressed or wasn't noticeable to our guests, which is all you can really ask for.The food was delicious, and my family and friends had nothing but nice things to say about the bar staff.All in all, I would definitely recommend this venue for anyone.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about WPGC, they were the only thing that didn't stress me out during my wedding planning. Everyone was nice and helpful and super accommodating right until the last minute changes! Rachel is a god-send. I seriously don't think I could've gotten through my wedding without her. The food is phenomenal. I dream about it, I'm not even kidding. Lol it rained a little on our wedding day and the whole staff busted their butts to make sure we had the wedding of our dreams despite the rain. There is a plan B room ( not as pretty as outside but still great to have the option!) but luckily the rain stopped and we were able to get married outside. It was beautiful! The golf course is fun and makes for great pictures of you like an outdoorsy setting. There is a bridal suite that is perfect for getting ready (and getting away for a few minutes). I honestly can't say enough good things. If you are looking for something beautiful, scenic, green, delicious and accommodating look no further!

We had our ceremony outside and rented out the whole place. I had a lot of my guests tell me how good the food was. From the first correspondence I had with Rachel (the event coordinator) at Whispering Pines I knew we would have our wedding there! Every step of the way Rachel was there to answer questions, guide us through the steps, and create unique ways to make our wedding perfect! The staff at Whispering Pines are very professional, fun, and accommodating. They will literally move mountains to make your wedding day exactly how you want it! They only schedule one wedding per day so you never feel rushed or crowded. They also have many options for ceremony and reception locations so you feel in control. I promise you WILL NOT be diasppointed by anything Whispering Pines has to offer! The grounds and buildings are stunning and there are many areas to choose where you take your photos! The food is delicious (I recommend the Traverse City Chicken) and the drinks are strong and yummy! Bravo Whispering Pines, our day literally was a fairy tale! \r\rSincerely, \rTaylor Reynolds :)

Rachel and the team at WP went above and beyond what we expected. They offered so much that was complementary that many venues charged for, and gave us a great value for the cost. The food is amazing! We received so many complements on dinner and on the venue as a whole. I would recommend WP to anyone!

I recently got married and we had both our ceremony and reception at Whispering Pines. Rachel is amazing to work with, she is so accommodating and helpful. Whispering Pines does everything including the linens and the packages are well worth it. They take all the stress away from working with multiple vendors. I have a friend planning a wedding and all the little things she has to take care of that I did not because of Whispering Pines was amazing. \rThe day of our rehearsal we were able to set up all of the center pieces and do the additional decorating, which gave me piece of mind for the day of the wedding. All of our guests continued to compliment the food and service. The wait staff was very friendly and professional and if there were any problems I was not made aware. We were able to use a hotel in Brighton and offer a shuttle service to our guests which most used and loved. Whispering Pines is a hidden treasure and I would highly recommend to any couple! I can honestly say I did not have one thing that I would suggest to them for future weddings. Our wedding day was perfect and everything that I had imagined and more! Thank you Whispering Pines! :)\r

All of our guests continued to compliment the food and service. The wait staff was very friendly and professional and if there were any problems I was not made aware. We were able to use a hotel in Brighton and offer a shuttle service to our guests which most used and loved. Whispering Pines is a hidden treasure and I would highly recommend to any couple! I can honestly say I did not have one thing that I would suggest to them for future weddings. Our wedding day was perfect and everything that I had imagined and more! Thank you Whispering Pines! :)\r

We decided to have our ceremony and reception at Whispering Pines and it turned out amazing! It rained on our wedding day so we weren't able to have the ceremony on the tee box, but we were able to use the back up room which worked out perfectly. Rachel and the staff were so helpful in setting up our centerpieces, setting out programs, serving the food, and making sure everything was in order. We opted to go with a Sunday brunch wedding and I still have guests complimenting me on how great everything was, especially the food! I highly recommend Whispering Pines and was so lucky to have found them.

We were so please with our son's wedding reception at Whisperings Pines Golf Club. It was the most beautiful wedding reception we've attend in our lives. My mother-in-law made the same comment to me and she has been to a lot of weddings. We had friends and family telling us the food was delicious. The chef did an outstanding job with everything. The appetizer were hot and delicious. The dinner was scrumptious with several choices and beautifully displayed. They did an outstanding job accommodating almost 200 guest. I would highly recommend Whisperings Pines to anyone who want a flawless event. I have nothing but good things to say about this place.

Late June in Michigan provides a wonderful backdrop for a wedding. The weather was perfect as well as all of the grounds at Whispering Pines Golf Club. The wedding party was allowed to go out onto the course for after ceremony pictures that were absolutely beautiful. The outdoor appetizers with drinks were presented with class. The introduction of the new bride and groom to the guests from the balcony above made for a grand entrance. The food stations throughout the upper levels worked out great for the guests to visit and chat. The ice cream station late night personal pizzas and the dance area created a wonderful night for everyone who was able to attend. This is a perfect venue for weddings. The staff met and exceeded all of our expectations. The seating areas as well as the dance area worked well for the large group of people who shared in the wedding.

If you're thinking about where to hold your event Whispering Pines is the place to go. I felt completely taken care of from start to finish. Rachel was on hand to answer all questions and take care of even the smallest requests. We didn't have to lift a finger the entire night, she even made sure my inlaws had cabs available at the end of the night. It was nice to not have to woory about anything. They were worth double the price we paid!

From the staff, to the layout, to the food, there was nothing left to desire.\r\rMy bride and I were treated with the utmost respect throughout our communications with Whispering Pines. Our needs were promptly attended to within a reasonable and professional timeframe.\r\rThe food here is to die for! Seriously, the menu looked good on paper, but in person, it is some of the very best cuisine I have ever eaten.\r\rBeing the groom, I only had time for a few bites of food (take note wedding couples: eat when you get any split second!) but everything I tasted was exquisite. Our guests were raving about the food all night, and are still talking about it! \r\rWe had a strolling dinner, which worked out perfectly for our 320+ person wedding. We utilized the entire venue (two banquet rooms + bars), and used woodgrain lobby as our massive dance floor. It was great!\r\rI can't compliment the staff enough. Everything was flawless, and it was still as if the staff were not there. They were present when needed, and disappeared when not. They made us feel as if we were on top of the world for our wedding day.\r\rRachel, the banquet coordinator, is one of the Pines' greatest assets, and surely Michigan's best kept secret! Her professionalism and work ethic are superb. She is very capable and is one of the best experts in the field. You will not be disappointed. She gives each wedding the attention to detail and personalization it deserves. She works with you every step of the way to ensure a seamless presentation on the day of the event. On the day of, everything runs smoothly, allowing the bride and groom to simply enjoy the party, the people, and the atmosphere.\r\rHats off to Whispering Pines. We found the perfect wedding venue!

We could not be happier that chose to have our wedding at Whispering Pines. Not only is it just an absolutely beautiful place, but the staff was great and made sure everything was perfect for our wedding day. They were so helpful and the value was amazing. We spent so much less than we would have somewhere else, and it was so much nicer than anywhere else! My only complaint was that they have so many weddings there now, it was hard cooridinating certain things around other people that are also having their wedding there. But all in all, I would highly recommend Whispering Pines.

Whispering Pines did an AMAZING job! All night I had guests coming up to me saying how fantastic everything was. Rachel is seriously awesome. They handle everything for you so that you are not stressed out on your big day. I would recommend them to everyone...you will not be disappointed. I recommend doing the ceremony there too. My husband and I even tee'd off during our ceremony. Definitely unforgettable.

We were in the market for a reception hall that could fit our large families (200 people), but not feel like we were crowded into a dark room. Whispering Pines was the perfect place- their large windows let in wonderful natural light (we even enjoyed a beautiful sunset from our dinner tables!) and there was more than enough space for everyone. We used both the ballroom and the smaller sunset room throughout the night. \rWe had a plated/sit-down dinner and the food was amazing! My husband and I had the prime rib, my in-laws had the salmon, my mom had the chicken, and my sister had the stuffed portabello--- and everyone was gushing over how delicious everything was. WP requires you to use their in-house caterer, but I wouldn't have found anything better anyway. I would also recommend the late night Nacho bar- my guests were pleasantly surprised to be fed just when the dancing got them hungry again!\rFurthermore, I can't rave about how helpful Rachel and Derek were. My husband and I live out of state, and they made it so easy to plan everything even though we were so far away. Rachel was very on top of everything- even things I hadn't thought of, and Derek helped us out when Rachel was on vacation, even though he wasn't the \"wedding coordinator\". They are very thorough and on top of it all, genuinely nice people. \rMy wedding night was definitely a night to remember by all that were there, and WP had everything to do with it. I could not recommend them more. \rOther notes: We supplied our own cake, but they have dessert options. We also had our own DJ, but they offer all the necessary hook ups. Throughout the planning process, Rachel was extremely helpful, responded quickly to all my emails, and made sure our day was everything we wanted it to be! She went above and beyond my expectations! I loved going there because Rachel, Derek, and even some of the staff knew us by name...I never felt like I was working with a \"wedding factory\" like some other venues can seem. The entire staff was very helpful and personable at our reception too! Our guests commented on how efficient the bar staff was & how absolutely AMAZING the food was... their catering service is awesome. The head chef has a ton of experience & customized our meal for us based on our interests and seasonal options. So cool!! \r\rOne of the best parts was that they allowed us to decorate three or four days in advance, which relieved so much stress!! The staff even helped unload & load decorations from our vehicles! They also handled all the clean up after the reception. Every thing was neatly stacked and packed into our totes. It was ready first thing the next day!

My wedding there was wonderful. they are very reasonably priced and take extra care in making your day as smooth as possible. Rachel the coordinator was amazing and the staff was very attentive and helpful. Also they have an outdoor ceremony site and if there is any chance of rai they have an indoor site set up at no additional cost. You could do a wedding there for less than $5,000 depending on what package you pick and how many people. I would highly reccomend it.
