White Bear Yacht Club Reviews
Sarah Hagen(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-07-2018 We used the White Bear Yacht Club for our 7/7/18 wedding ceremony and reception and the venue was perfect in every way! Amy was responsive and helpful throughout the planning process (especially important because we did all the planning long distance). The facility was beautiful and ready for our use the day of. The food was fantastic (walleye & chicken and wild rice) - many guests have told us how much they enjoyed their meals. We had our ceremony and cocktail hour outside by the lake and our dinner and dance inside the main dining room. The place was stunning and the staff was professional the whole day! Kelly Whitaker(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-06-2015 We hosted our rehearsal dinner and Sunday brunch at the White Bear Yacht Club during our wedding weekend. They were both fairly large events, over 100 people, and both were done beautifully! The location is beautiful and for our rehearsal dinner we were able to have cocktails on the lawn near the lake and then enjoyed beautiful views for the dinner and brunch from the clubhouse. At both events the food was delicious and service was wonderful as well. Great venue, service and food! Reviewed on 12-07-2015
Elena Dorr(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-06-2014 We chose White Bear Yacht Club for our June 28th wedding and were absolutely blown away.\r\rMy husband and I have a sailing background and met at a yacht club in Chicago, and hoped we could have our reception at a yacht club in Minnesota. White Bear proved absolutely perfect, the building and grounds are breathtaking and not like any other lakeside clubs i have seen in the midwest. The history of the building combined with the recent renovations make it a lovely and unique venue. \r\rThe staff was incredible. An example of this was how impressive they were in executing a rainout plan. Twenty minutes before our cocktail hour, a large rainstorm moved in and the club staff seamlessly moved everything inside before anyone arrived. Our guests loved that they were greeted with beverages and appetizers and had no idea that the plan had changed.\r\rWe also loved that we and our guests could walk around the grounds during the reception to admire the building and lake.\r\rThe service and food were perfect, our friends are still raving about the walleye and prime rib. The staff reached to meet our every request including smores by the lake, our special playlists for cocktail hour and dinner, an area for the girls to get ready, and flying the WBYC sailing burgee for us on the pole. \r\rPete the bartender was fantastic, his experience shows! He helped us come up with creative drinks, making sure we had ample choice in local beer (even offering to order beer/wine that wasn't on the list) and giving our friends overall a great experience with no lines, ample options and great personality.\r\rThe club made all of our wedding dreams come true and gave us and our friends and family a wonderful celebration. Would highly recommend! Reviewed on 12-10-2014
a member (groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-06-2012 We had our wedding and reception at the White Bear Yacht Club in early June. The day could not have been better.\r\rUnder a white tent on the shores of White Bear Lake the ceremony was idealic. We had approximately 200 guests sitting in flower-lined white chairs. After the ceremony the guests had cocktails and hors d'oeuvres by the pool and the wedding party took a spin around the lake. The WBYC staff ushered our guests up to the stunning lakeside dining room for dinner after about 45 minutes. \r\rDinner was perfect. The lakeside dining room requires very little decoration - we had minimal flowers and let the Yacht Club charm take care of the rest. Once again the service was top notch as was the meal. \r\rWe did not have a wedding planner, but the yacht club's dining manager and general manager really ran the show and did a phenomenal job. \r\rWe can't recommend the WBYC highly enough for your wedding and reception. The setting, staff and food will be fantastic, guaranteed. Reviewed on 27-09-2014
Anonymous (parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-08-2015 The White Bear Yacht Club was the perfect venue for our daughter's wedding. The tasteful nautical decor of blues and whites worked well with all of the details of her wedding. We chose food stations so our guests had a variety to choose from and we didn't have to worry about special diets. The food was delicious! We took advantage of the beautiful outdoor space by the pool for cocktails and appetizers an hour before dinner seating. With White Bear Lake as the backdrop to the venue, sunset pictures by the water turned out beautifully. The staff was exceptional, accomodating and kind. My daughter said the next day it was everything she envisioned. The only downside for us was seating in the \"patio room.\" While beautiful, our guests that dined in that space could not see the bridal party. Reviewed on 19-09-2014
Erika Broberg(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-08-2014 We had a great time at the White Bear Yacht club for our rehearsal dinner. \r\rThe food was excellent and the service was very good as well. \r\rThe only negative that I can think of is that the catering manager/event coordinator changed twice during the planning, so we had to do a little extra communicating, but each person that we worked with was very accommodating and helpful. \r\rThe room looked incredible and the views were even better. Overall excellent experience. Reviewed on 18-09-2014
Vania Deeney(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-08-2013 Everything about our reception venue was stellar. The classy yet comfortable vibe inside, the spectacular views of the lake from inside, the ability to host part of the event outside on their patio, the delicious food, our event coordinator Joy -- We only heard praise from our guests!
