Our 2024 wedding season is now sold out. Now booking summer of 2025! Imagine exchanging your vows at our private 6,817 ft. summit, accessible via chairlift or enclosed gondola, with the mountain peaks of Glacier National Park as your backdrop. After your "I dos", you will host your wedding reception at either the mountaintop Summit House (Capacity up to 150 guests) or slopeside Base Lodge (Capacity up to 200 guests). Both are elegant venues which feature updated mountain decor and ample space for your guests to celebrate. AVAILABILITY Whitefish Mountain Resort hosts weddings during our summer operating season, mid-June through mid-September. Our Event Coordinators can make recommendations on which summer weekends may be the best fit for you and your group based on weather trends and local events taking place in our valley. This was a day we will remember forever! Prior to this we were in coordination with the venue who not only gave us suggestions within but outside of it for other vendors which was extremely helpful. We did not feel rushed at all due to having extensive planning with Allison prior. We honestly had quite a bit of down time which was awesome! All of our wishes were coordinated and carried out as we requested. The food was great as well, with never having tasted it prior. Our wedding party, guests and family members had a great time and turned into vacations/mini trips! The day was one that will be memorable for all based on it being a true immersive experience. We highly recommend this venue and the team that comes along with it. The town has plenty to offer along with the National Park. We are so thankful and grateful for all of the effort that was put into making our day great!

Allison,WMR, and staff were phenomenal and we could not have asked for a better day. Allison was with us the entire way of wedding coordinating and always very responsive when we had questions. The day of could not have been more perfect. Allison made sure the vendors knew where to go and made sure everyone stayed close to schedule. We will never forget our wedding and WMR! We wanted to have a destination wedding and give an experience for our guests and WMR provided just that. WMR offers alpine slides, zip lines, and views that you will never forget at the Summit. I couldn’t recommend this destination more, you will not be disappointed. Thank you again to Allison and staff and going above and beyond…. Especially for Allison, as you see in most comments, she does her job well and is always there to help and relax you at times! She accommodated us with lights above the dance floor when we ran into some other issues with light vendors and now a piece from our wedding will always be there for future weddings. Also, the food deserves its own paragraph! Due to us having a destination wedding, it was hard to schedule a food tasting, so we were not able to get one. HOWEVER, the food was AMAZING. we had multiple guests say that this was the best wedding food they have ever had and we couldn't agree more, It felt and tasted like a 5-course meal. It was amazing to have appetizers and drinks ready for you once you went down the alpine slide or ski lift, everything was delicious!

WMR and Allison were amazing!! We have the most beautiful memories and photos from our wedding day here. As the bride and groom, we had no stress on the day of because Allison took care of everything and took everything off our shoulders!!

20/10 would recommend WMR. There is nothing more unique and picturesque than a wedding on top of a mountain in Montana. It looks like it’s straight out of a movie. Your guests will love the chair lift ride up to the top, and the spline slide into the reception. We couldn’t have pictures a better day. The food was amazing. Our guests continue to tell us it was the best wedding food they have had. And the cherry on top, it comes with a wedding coordinator who is with you every step of the way. It would’ve been impossible to have the day of our dreams without Allison. From the very beginning, her responsiveness and communication was above and beyond. Her commitment and care is unmatched. You will not find a more dedicated and caring individual to help pull your big day off. She communicated with all vendors and family when they had questions. We truly can’t imagine what it would’ve been like without her. We want to have another wedding just so we can do it all over again there. Such an amazing and fun day.

We had our wedding at Whitefish Mountain Resort in August 2022. We definitely recommend this venue. The ceremony site is at the top of the mountain and the views are stunning. Our guests continue to rave about the beautiful gondola ride to the top of the mountain for the ceremony. The alpine coaster was open and available to guests during the cocktail hour, which was a huge hit with all of our guests. We had several guests from out of town so it was very convenient to have the wedding, ceremony, and lodging all on the mountain. Allison is the wedding coordinator for the venue and she is super helpful and very quick to respond during the entire planning process. The dinner was superb and the bar menu prices were very reasonable allowing us to host an open bar. Whitefish Mountain Resort is the perfect place for a beautiful and unique, fun wedding. Several guests told us that our wedding was the best they have ever attended thanks to Whitefish Mountain Resort and Allison!

Where is the button for 100 stars?? This place is AMAZING!!! I still cannot believe I had my wedding here. We wanted the mountains and everything was out of our price range, until we found WMR!! The pricing is amazing, the food was delicious, the staff were exceptional (like truly amazing), and the views are literally perfect in every way. By the end of the event I felt like the coordinator (Allison) was my best friend. She did EVERYTHING. Everything. And she was by far the friendliest person we worked with, and even our guests later asked who that amazing woman was who was helping direct them where to go! And the ALPINE SLIDE was epic! Our guests loved it! Many of them took the lift back up to ride it a second time! The ski lift in itself was such a unique experience. And wow the views at the ceremony site were perfect for pictures. Reception site was great too- intimate but still tons of space to dance and party! The whole town has a fun vibe to it and tons of places to eat and visit for wedding weekend! Super close to GNP for guests to turn the wedding into a vacation! We thought it would be a destination wedding where most people wouldn't make the trip, but because the location was SO cool, 110 people flew from the east coast to join. If you are considering a mountain wedding and you want somewhere beautiful, affordable, and that will take care of everything then this is the place. <3

She provided all the tools to make planning easy and even made last minute changes the day before! The rehearsal and wedding day went so smoothly. She had everything totally under control and handled all my vendors and set up. The staff did an awesome job decorating the venue and executed my vision perfectly. I had some friends go in to help them out before the ceremony, but they’d already finished everything and had it ready to go! The catering was excellent. My guests are still telling me how good the food was. And several friends and family members commented on how smoothly everything went and how friendly the staff was. They truly went above and beyond to make my wedding day perfect, and there was no stress on me or any family members. Also, the views are stunning and can’t be beat!

I planned my destination wedding at WMR and I am so thankful I did. Our wedding was beautiful! Part of the wedding package includes a wedding coordinator Allison. She was amazing! I cannot say enough great things about her. From simple requests to large she was available via email every week! From the chairlift operators to the guest check in at the lodge desk to the bartenders everyone was great! We got so many compliments on how beautiful our wedding was despite it being 65 degrees and cold. We had over 100 guests at the summit house for the reception.

Whitefish Mountain Resort is truly a DREAM wedding location. As soon as I saw the views online, I knew this was the perfect place for my destination wedding. Jess was always available to answer my questions, and to help put together the event of our dreams. The view from the top of the summit is breathtaking. The food is phenomenal! My guests had the best time at our wedding because 1. You get to ride a ski lift to the ceremony. How often does that happen??? 2. The Alpine Slide. RENT THIS FOR COCKTAIL HOUR. It seems a little crazy for everyone to do this in wedding attire, but our guests LOVED it. It was so worth it, and a lot of fun for us to have our introductions off the slide as well.Jess was a dream to work with through the whole process. My original date was 6/27/20, but thanks to COVID, we had to postpone. My new date was 9/13/20. Jess helped us make a smooth transition and was so accommodating when it came to this global pandemic. She always made us feel at ease, and I truly never worried about if my day would be perfect, even though I was planning from Alabama. She helped us set up a timeline, made sure vendors set up where they needed to be, and everything went so perfectly. I wish I could do it all over again. Whitefish Mountain Resort now has a very special place in our hearts, and we look forward to many more future visits.

When we started planning our wedding, we knew we wanted to have a destination wedding in Montana but weren't set on a venue. We reached out to a LOT of venues, and NONE were as responsive as WMR. That was our deciding factor; when planning a wedding somewhere you've never been you need a set of eyes there that you trust and can rely on! Jess was exactly that. She and her team were exceptional. Getting married on top of a mountain was absolutely breathtaking and so special. All of our guests were traveling in from out of town and there was something to do there for all ages. Since we were having an intimate destination wedding, we did not have a tasting beforehand and just picked off the menu. The food and service was just amazing, it blew our expectations out of the water. We really couldn't have been happier with choosing Whitefish Mountain Resort and we can't thank Jess and her team enough for all of their hard work giving us our dream day.

Whitefish Mountain Resort was absolutely perfect. We are from Texas and we were so nervous to plan a wedding all the way in Montana. We worked with Jess who made sure that our day was far better than we could have ever predicted. She was so calm and collected and made the experience not only great for me and my husband but every single guest. The catering was INCREDIBLE, our guests are still talking about the food (we recommend the beef tenderloin!) and Meagan and her team of staff were so lovely. We wanted to take them all home with us! After having an amazing evening and wedding, the staff packed all of our decorations up for us to ship back home and were just so kind. They calmed every single one of our fears and made us want to have a wedding every single year. We can't wait to come back and see them on our one year anniversary!

This is my dream place to get married. Sean Hagen, the event coordinator, was extremely communicative and answered every single one of my questions in detail. He never made me feel like a burden. The only reason I'm not having my wedding here is because half of the family is from England, and it's significantly more expensive to fly to Montana than to California, so unfortunately, I don't get my dream place.BUT. The customer service is superb and I HIGHLY recommend working with Sean!!

She was easy to communicate with, and made us feel so comfortable. Our guests still comment about the friendly staff, excellent food, and beautiful venue. We are already counting down to our next visit. We would highly recommend WMR!

Whitefish Mountain Resort was an absolute dream location for our wedding. Sarah was so wonderful! She went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. She was easy to communicate with, and made us feel so comfortable. Our guests still comment about the friendly staff, excellent food, and beautiful venue. We are already counting down to our next visit. We would highly recommend WMR!

Our wedding rocked! We had so much fun and we have had multiple guests say it was the best wedding they have been to. Sarah and the whole mountain made the experience very stress free the whole time. We never had an issue working up to the wedding with communicating our ideas or working out any concerns. Sarah was really responsive with calls or emails. The day of our wedding went off without a hitch. The staff was very helpful and food was amazing. Thank you all for making our day great!

Whitefish Mountain Resort was the perfect place to have a wedding. Sarah went above and beyond to insure the day went off without a hitch. She was so easy to work with from our first phone call through the day of the wedding. She made it so easy to plan a wedding from North Dakota. The summit was an amazing venue for the ceremony and the Base Lodge was perfect for the reception. The food was amazing and the staff was professional and helpful. Thank you for making this a day we will never forget!!

WMR helped make our dream wedding come true. The day of the wedding it was raining and Sarah was in contact with my mother each hour to update her on the plan for the day and the wedding forecast in case we needed to make some changes to our ceremony/reception plans. Sarah helped calm my nerves and support my special requests throughout the wedding planning process.....WMR really cares about making your special day the absolute best day ever. The food is also AMAZING and the bar staff really helped us all have a wonderful time!

WMR helped make our dream wedding come true. The day of the wedding it was raining and Sarah was in contact with my mother each hour to update her on the plan for the day and the wedding forecast in case we needed to make some changes to our ceremony/reception plans. Sarah helped calm my nerves and support my special requests throughout the wedding planning process.....WMR really cares about making your special day the absolute best day ever. The food is also AMAZING and the bar staff really helped us all have a wonderful time!

I would highly recommend having your wedding at Whitefish Mountain Resort. There is nothing better than getting married on top of a mountain if you love the mountains and/or skiing. Sarah Nuckolls was great throughout the planning process and at our wedding. She was very responsive to emails, organized and detailed oriented, and flexible when needed. In my mind, these are all essential qualities when planning and executing a wedding! The other staff at WMR were also professional and exceptional service was provided. I felt relaxed at our wedding, knowing that Sarah and the WMR staff would do an excellent job. Our wedding was on August 5th. It was smoky during the two days before our wedding, but cleared up on our wedding day and the views from the summit were incredible. We loved having our wedding at WMR and our guests loved it as well. It was a unique experience for everyone getting to ride the chairlift/gondola up to the summit for our ceremony! One that we will always remember.

WMR was a fantastic choice for venue & reception, whether indoors or out - Sarah was fantastic to work with all the way from first contact through post-wedding (especially considering we were all coming from WA, and only visited once between engagement and wedding), and even though we ended up having to move from mountaintop to indoors at the last minute (thx Sept. weather:( ) the staff was utterly fantastic at getting everything shifted around and setup at the base lodge and made what was a disappointing decision and stressful situation into an absolutely gorgeous event that guests absolutely loved and went off as smoothly as we could possibly have hoped. A huge thank you to Sarah & the WMR staff for making our day the beautiful day it was, and we'll remember forever!

What an amazing experience it was to have my wedding at Whitefish Mountain Resort! I was down to two venues and Sarah Knuckles was so responsive and helpful that it was an easy decision to go with this venue. Plus the views from the top of the mountain are truly spectacular and make for amazing pictures! Chef Ben made a wonderful dinner that everyone enjoyed and the ride down the slide was the hit of the evening! I wanted my wedding to be fun and elegant, Sarah and the staff made my dream wedding come true!!

Our wedding was perfect! Sarah Knuckles was wonderful throughout the process, she helped us through every step of the way. Being out of state folks we had zero idea who to hire for what and Sarah had the best recommendations for the cake, and photography. Sarah also has a talent for decorating cakes! I ordered a really plain cake and Sarah took a few items from some of the centerpieces and make the cake look like it cost way more than it did. Thank you! It was beautiful. The food was fantastic, and our bartender Kyle was great. I hope we weren't too crazy for him. Also Kylene Larson is a saint. She shooed off some young entrepreneurs who were trying to sell huckleberries to our guests right before the ceremony. Really all the staff was super friendly and helpful. It was an amazing event and I couldn't have imagined it any better.

I had my DREAM wedding at Whitefish Mountain Resort. There are so many beautiful spots on the mountain (indoor or outdoor) to have your ceremony and reception. Sarah N. was such a pleasure to work with, always listening to my ideas, offering suggestions, responsive, professional & FUN! I couldn't have asked for a better person to work with. Chef Ben worked with us on creating the perfect menu. The food was some of the best I've ever had, not only for a wedding but in general. The entire staff on the day of the wedding was so pleasant and on top of it. They even had children's meals ready to go when guests sat down (something I didn't even think of but heard GREAT feedback from my guests with small children). They had everything set up perfectly, service during the reception was top notch, and everyone was friendly while interacting with guests. If I could do it all over again, I would absolutely have it at the Whitefish Mountain Resort!

Great staff and service at Big Mountain. We had an excellent manager who took care of all the details of our event and was with us from start to finish throughout the process. We were able to set up the day before our event, and take everything down the day after. The venue was set up to our expectations and looked beautiful. Staff was there to help us with anything we wanted. Fantastic place to get married and celebrate your day!

Whitefish Mountain Resort is an absolutely beautiful place to have a wedding! Whether you want it indoor, outdoor, or both, the scenery and grounds are amazing. The staff is extremely attentive and so easy to work with. I couldn't have asked for a better crew or location for my wedding day!

Allison Leake (Events Director) Allison brings 15 years of wedding and event planning experience with her to her role as Wedding Sales Manager and Senior Event Coordinator at Whitefish Mountain Resort. From weddings to corporate events, runway fashion shows and nonprofit fundraisers...this lady has seen it all! Allison prides herself on being organized, promptly responding to her client's needs and creating a special bond with her wedding couples so they know they have an advocate and friend looking out for them on their wedding day.
