Whitetail Lodge is a scenic wedding venue situated in Marysville, PA. Tucked away in majestic rural Pennsylvania, this beautiful venue radiates a comfortable feeling of natural woodland splendor. It features both indoor and outdoor spaces as well as a host of amenities to make every guest feel at home. Just a 45-minute drive from York and less than two hours from Philadelphia, it is perfect for couples looking for a secluded celebration sanctuary. The Whitetail Lodge invites couples to bask in the 55 acres of natural wonder. From the flowing 40ft stream to the beautiful tree-lined event spaces, it is the perfect place for an outdoor wedding celebration at any time of year. It was originally opened in 1975 as Camp Morehart, a Christian retreat center and church camp for boy and girl scouts. The property was eventually purchased in 2010 and was remodeled to host beautiful wedding celebrations. Both the facility and grounds have been decorated for a feeling of serene tranquility, allowing guests to truly unwind in the heart of nature. This exquisite venue provides a picture-perfect setting for you to celebrate every stage of your special day. An outdoor chapel area has been erected for beautiful open-air ceremonies, complete with a beautiful wooden altar for you to say ‘I Do’. Receptions can take place under the shimmering lightbulbs that hang over the outdoor patio or within the spacious confines of the indoor banquet hall. Stylishly furnished with towering rafters, gas fireplaces, and hardwood floors, it is a comfortable and rustic spot to dance the night away.

This venue was the PERFECT place for my winter wedding! Dave and Suzie were so flexible with my availability to view the venue (and the multiple times I needed to visit to rework my vision based on decor). All of our guests are still speaking about how gorgeous the lodge was.

I cannot begin to tell you how many of our guests complimented us on our wedding venue and how gorgeous and beautiful the entire place was. Tucked back in the woods in a quiet, serene space, the Whitetail Lodge was exactly what we were looking for when booking a venue. Every area of the space is very versatile, so you can choose where you want each part of your day to take place. Rain options are available with a little bit of adjustment. The owners were extremely accommodating in that we were able to visit (with notice, of course) whenever we needed to show the venue to another vendor and always answered our questions promptly. In addition, our wedding was postponed due to COVID and they were very understanding in the rescheduling process. Would highly recommend!

Dave Thank You so much!! Your venue is beautiful, serene, spacious, and honestly just overwhelmingly gorgeous. I can’t express enough how much Ryan and I appreciate your effort and dedication to work with us. I was deployed in Afghanistan while we were still looking for a venue. Dave worked with us, with the time different and video chatted me while doing the walk through. Dave also offered us the opportunity to look at the venue again in person when I got home. Once I got home we did the walk through again and he was happy to show us every part once again. Payments were easy to do. When it came closer to the wedding we got one last show around just to make sure we understand how everything works (Ryan mainly understand, me not so must haha). Dave was super nice, kind, helpful, and funny. If you are looking for a beautiful, and peacefully place to get married, look no farther. Beautiful wooden beams inside, fire places, wood floors, deck, archways, small stream of water, a fire pit, so much woods, it’s just a beautiful scenery! Thank you again!!!

This space is amazing! This venue allows you to have both the ceremony and reception in one place. The weather was beautiful so that allowed us to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dancing outside. The full kitchen made things much easier for our caterer. Thank you Dave for the great service. He was very attentive and answered all of our questions. The only thing I found difficult was cleaning up after a night of celebrating.

Absolutely beautiful! There's so much room to do many different activities including having a fire, playing horse shoes, and corn hole. Dave is so easy to communicate with and gives you all the information you need to know.

We had envisioned a low-key family and close friends only event for our reception. The Whitetail Lodge was perfect for that. It was easily accessible for family members who have mobility problems and had room enough for dining and dancing. The bar service window feature of the kitchen was great and made it very easy to provide bar service. It was a great, cool location on a warm August day. Dave, the owner, was great with keeping on top of communication and very helpful with the set up and tear down. I would highly recommend this venue to any bride & groom but would suggest booking fast! They don't really advertise but have a full schedule from word-of-mouth referrals. If you like quiet, mountainside privacy at a very reasonable price then the Whitetail Lodge would be perfect for your big day. The only downside is the small signage. If you're not from Perry County or aren't familiar with the area, it can be easy to miss the entrance. Some extra decor is in order to ensure guests don't miss the turn off of 850.
