Williams Golf & Country Club Reviews
Devon McCune(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-12-2019 We recently got married at Williams Country Club and the process and day were amazing! First, the wedding planner, Regan, the chef, Dom, and the owner, Mr. Markovitz, were so accessible and easy to talk with. They helped us plan an amazing reception and were always very responsive if we had questions or ideas. Additionally, the venue was decorated beautifully, the food and drinks were delicious, and we were able to use the grounds for pictures, which offered a lot of options. Finally, the staff during the reception were very pleasant and made the guests, and us as newlyweds, feel very calm and stress free. I highly recommend this venue if you are considering it for your special day! Reviewed on 29-12-2019
Bandrea Weber(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-09-2018 We are so happy we chose to have our wedding shower and reception at this one of a kind club. We fell in love with this history and amazing views, but the staff and the food are equally impressive! At least a dozen of our guests said our wedding was the best they’ve ever been to. We highly recommend having your event at Williams Golf and Country Club! Reviewed on 14-10-2018
Andrew Dugas(groom)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-09-2017 If you are in the market for a beautiful place to have your wedding I could recommend Williams Golf and Country Club. However, be forewarned. When my wife and I originally signed the contract with Williams they had an excellent events coordinator who was very friendly and responsive. Unfortunately our original events coordinator retired before our wedding. The replacement coordinator led us into a grocery list of misunderstanding and issues that include, but are not limited to;-Losing our original contract with the country club-Being unresponsive to phone calls and request prior to the wedding-Rude remarks the day before the wedding to the bride and the mother of the bride-Trash littering the grounds around the main clubhouse day of the wedding some of which I picked up myself-Coordinator completely missing when needed during the day of the wedding, and unreachable by any means except walking into the club kitchen and asking a staff member to find her-Flat beer on the day of the wedding-A wait staff that stood around and starred at all reception guests after 10 PM when the hall had been reserved until 11 PM-Wedding cake \"lost\" after ceremonyMy wife and I have been attempting to reach out to Williams for over a month now and have yet to hear a single word in return or receive a call back from the events coordinator and even the club General Manager. So yes the location is quite nice. However, the management staff made things an absolute nightmare. Reviewed on 07-11-2017
Samantha Hennerty(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-08-2017 We loved our wedding at Williams! We selected this venue for it's location to our church and it's beauty--I'm not very crafty and didn't want a venue that I'd have to DIY the heck out of to make it look nice. We got compliments on how beautiful the ballroom and the view of the river was all night! The venue was very spacious though the ballroom cozy, which made our 120 person wedding feel intimate, yet there was plenty of room for guests to socialize on the fringes with comfort in adjacent rooms. The food was amazing, and the price LITERALLY CANNOT BE BEAT. However, the wedding coordinator did not communicate with us very well during the process of planning our wedding, and when we arrived on the day of the wedding there was a lot that was not ready for us to set up. They did pull everything together perfectly while we were at the ceremony, and the reception did end up being amazing. Reviewed on 05-10-2017
Katie Moio(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-10-2015 The Williams Country Club was the PERFECT venue for both our Wedding Ceremony and Reception. Aubrey, the Event Coordinator/Wedding Coordinator was absolutely fabulous and went the extra mile to make our wedding day flawless. She allowed us to decorate the venue as early as Thursday and then finished decorating for us on Friday when we ran out of time. The staff typically decorates the venue for the bride and groom if you don't wish to do it yourself as well. The food was beyond amazing - we received many compliments from our guests, especially on the Salmon (we asked for the Lemon Buerre Blanc sauce). The service from the waitstaff was excellent - they approached the head table to take our drink orders and asked multiple times if we needed anything. Aubrey's attentiveness to details, her ability to adhere to and keep everyone on a time schedule, her ability to accommodate requests, and her responsiveness was out of this world. I am a very detail-oriented and intense bride to deal with and she completely put me at ease and greatly exceeded our expectations. The vendors recommended by Aubrey - DJ especially - were wonderful and we were able to save a lot of money by finding our DJ through her. We even received free up-lighting because Aubrey recommended us to this particular DJ - Encore Sounds. The mood of the venue was unbelievable - the view of the Ohio River is beyond words, and there were so many rooms for our guests to roam during the wedding reception. The ceremony room boasts a breathtaking view of the river, the ballroom is very intimate and warm-feeling, and its neutral finish goes with any reception decor. The upstairs lounge is a great place for the Bride to get ready before the ceremony and it provided a nice spot to do a post-ceremony toast with the whole bridal party. The grounds are gorgeous - there are a lot of trees, character spots for pictures (stone work on the country club, paths, and incredible landscaping). It has a vintage charm to it, while having modernized features. It was the best wedding ceremony and reception venue we have ever experienced and were so satisfied with our wedding day! Thanks to the staff of the Williams Country Club and the site itself for making it such a wonderful day. Reviewed on 27-10-2015

We held my daughter's baby shower here. If you are looking for a place to hold whatever your special occasion is, look no further. Aubrey, the events coordinator , and the entire staff were amazing. No detail was too small to have their full attention. Our guests made sure they let us know that the food was so delicious and Aubrey and her staff were on top of everything, they never had to ask for anything and that the view from window was unbelievable. I really can't say enough. We enjoyed the shower because we didn't worry about anything. Reviewed on 19-08-2015

It was an amazing experience from the planning stages to the actual events. The event coordinator, Aubrey, is absolutely amazing! She is always available to help, and she makes sure everything goes perfectly. The venue and views are gorgeous and the food is delicious. The staff members are also very nice and helpful. Jennifer Wherry(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-01-2015 I held my reception at The Williams Country Club on January 3, 2015. I can honestly say that my reception was everything that I had envisioned, and so much more. From start to finish, planning my reception was a smooth and enjoyable process. The club's event coordinator, Aubrey, was so patient, so detail-oriented, and so accessible at all points throughout the process. Aubrey worked with us to develop a unique menu that fit our budget, and helped us to make other important decisions regarding alcohol selection, layout, and much more. Aubrey also coordinated with all of our other vendors to ensure set up times and all other pertinent details- I hardly had to lift a finger! The day before the reception, I went to the club because I was making my own centerpieces, using the club's glassware at no cost. The entire staff was present, setting up the tables and linens and so forth, and I watched as my reception came together. All of Aubrey's staff were polite, professional, and attentive and helped us greatly as we created our vision. On the actual evening of our ceremony, Aubrey and her crew kicked it into overdrive; as soon as the wedding party entered the doors, we were ushered to the beautifully decorated apartments on the upper floor and were served drinks and hors d'oeuvres as we took breathtaking pictures on location. Once we were announced into the hall and the cake was cut, the cake table was quickly and discretely whisked away while dinner was seamlessly being served. I cannot express exactly how many rave reviews we got about the food. The food was hot as it was served to each and every table (which doesn't always happen at a reception!), and was delicious with hearty portion sizes. After dinner, the guests and my husband I enjoyed dancing the night away on the dance floor and admiring the beauty of the venue. The different rooms, all decorated in a beautiful and sophisticated manner, made our reception with 155 guests seem so intimate and personal. The sheer beauty and elegance of the ballroom and north and south rooms was commented upon by all of my guests. The bar area, which overlooks the Ohio River with a large, wall of windows and beautiful stone floor, was a wonderful place to grab a drink and take a moment from dancing. Other small rooms off of the bar and off of the main ballroom made perfect spots for my cookie table and candy buffet, and a photobooth, provided by our DJ. There were also countless places to take memorable portraits with family members throughout the evening. Overall, my husband and I could not be more happy with the level of service, the value, and the entire ambience of our reception. The Williams Country Club was the perfect place for us to hold our reception, and because of the flexibility and professionalism of Aubrey and her staff, it could be your dream venue too! To this day we still get compliments over how friendly and professional the wait staff was, how delicious the food was prepared by Chef Dominic and his staff, how gorgeous the country club was and the views of the Ohio River, and the list of compliments goes on and on.
