Willis Show Bar is a unique cocktail bar, live entertainment, and wedding venue in Detroit, Michigan. This lively establishment has been revived from its 1940s "Show Bar" era when it was a jazz club and the hot spot in town. Facilities and Capacity Although it has been renovated since its closure, distinctive attributes of the original bar remain as it lives today. The vintage feel of this setting can add a classic touch to your wedding. Willis Show Bar can comfortably accommodate up to 125 guests and seat 83. When arriving at the venue, a restored entrance vestibule can give your event a special touch. Twenty-four seats at their one-of-a-kind 55-foot-long bar are perfect for guests to sit, mingle, and watch live entertainment. The main stage still stands behind the bar and is ideal for your wedding musician or DJ to set up. You and your guests can dance the night away with professional audio and state-of-the-art equipment provided by the bar. Services Offered The versatile space is beautifully designed and is available for some slight decorative additoins to your taste and style. Willis Show Bar will supply and serve creative cocktails, house and specialty beers, wines, and liquors in stylish glassware. You can run the bar based on your preferences, but options include cash, open, or ticketed bar. Outside caterers are permitted to supply the cuisine for your big day. Such a hidden gem. Our wedding reception was smaller (about 60 guests) and Willis was just right for it. Very low maintenance as well, the space already looks very cool so we did not need much decor! They have a fantastic house band that can be booked privately for you and it really kept the energy of the night up

The groom’s bachelor party was a SUCCESS!! All because of the Willis Show Bar team.They were highly punctual and communicative. I felt bad for how many times I got back to them with more questions yet they were always happy to oblige!The space was intimate and fun. We had far less than the limit which is 100, though I’d recommend an informal limit of 75-85 guests. Finally, while we didn’t hire house band, we wanted to! They were talented and cool, it was merely logistics on our end. WOULD recommend the house band!Thanks Willis Show Bar!!!

Had a very small, private wedding celebration with 40 guests in September and it was perfect. We are not a fussy couple, never interested in a huge wedding and even considered eloping but SO glad we did this instead. Would definitely recommend to any couple looking for a stress-free, inexpensive, casual (but still classy!) party with close friends and family.It's not your average venue, but cool and memorable for sure!!
