I had such a wonderful experience having my wedding at the new Wind Creek event space! They have such great staff there but I have to give a shout out to 2 individuals.Jennifer Bender, the wedding sales manager, is so sweet and helpful. She really made sure everything was in order from start to finish of the whole process. Her guidance made my big day stress free.Christine Heckman, a server that attended to my husband and I during our rehearsal and reception dinners, was the absolute best! She was so attentive to us and also any of our guests that needed anything. One of the biggest things she did for us was I had planned for vegetarians at my rehearsal meal, and suddenly I had one that became vegan. Christine went to the kitchen and made sure to have a vegan meal prepared for this guest. I really appreciated this as I know it was not such a simple request being made. Shout out to the chef, too!!!I am very glad I chose this as my wedding venue and would pick them again if I ever needed. It was also a lot of fun to go to the casino with guests after the reception finished to keep the celebration going. Reviewed on 08-01-2024

We recently had our wedding reception in the Foundry Ballroom at Wind Creek, and it was absolutely perfect! We were very lucky to get to work with Nick Schlegel from start to finish. He ensured that every detail for our event was perfect. Nick went above and beyond to make the day easy and stress free. He stayed in frequent communication with us in the days and months leading up to our event to ensure that everything was in order. The team at Wind Creek was very accommodating and honored all of our special requests. Our guests could not stop raving about the food and about how beautiful the venue was. Everyone also enjoyed going to the hotel bar immediately after the reception for the after party. Everything was incredibly convenient for us and for our guests. It was truly the best day! If you get to work with Nick, you won’t be disappointed! Reviewed on 16-08-2023

I have nothing but great things to say about my experience with the newly renovated Venue at Windcreek. Let me start off by saying Jennifer Bender is absolutely exceptional and I enjoyed working with her throughout the long and stressful process of planning my wedding, she made it go very smooth and was on the money with everything I envisioned. I would recommend anyone interested in planning a wedding at this venue deal with Jennifer. Her service and detail to make sure she has all your priorities and special requests down is exceptional. The entire team at windcreek are phenomenal, especially the night of the wedding. The event was a huge success and I will always recommend Jennifer and Windcreek. Reviewed on 07-07-2023
Ashley pesaresi(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-06-2013 Actually used this hotel for my wedding, not my bachelorette party.\rOver a year in advance, we made a group block at the Sands Hotel and Casino. Knowing the hotel fills up quickly, I encouraged friends and family to book early. We were only allowed to block 10 rooms at a time and we had to call to block more rooms when those 10 were full. We called after 20 rooms were booked and they told us we could no longer block any rooms. This was not communicated to us when we originally made our room block. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with the manager before he would open another 10 rooms for me. \rA year in advance, I also booked one executive suite and one presidential suite for the groomsmen and bridal party to get ready in. Two weeks before the wedding I received a phone call that they were taking my presidential suite away for a \"VIP\" customer and I would be getting an executive suite with an adjoining room instead. My mom went down to the hotel (I live 90 minutes away) for work and complained and they called and gave me my room back. \rThe morning of the wedding the housekeeper knocked on our door and we asked her to come back in about 30 minutes because we were getting ready to leave, she gave us a dirty look, said something under her breath and walked away. (Awesome way to treat your guests who are paying $400/night). \rI was incredibly disappointed with my experience as a guest in the Sands Hotel.\r\rBesides their bad customer service, the rooms were very nice. They were clean and provided a very spacious area for us to get ready in. \r \rOn a brighter note, we held a breakfast for wedding guests on Sunday morning which was very well organized. Not the BEST breakfast I ever had but, pretty good for a buffet style meal. Reviewed on 04-07-2013
