Windwood offers a unique setting reminiscent of an Old English estate, with the stables nestled in the valley. Whether you want photographs next to beautiful ivy-covered stone, stunning floral arrangements, or gorgeous rolling hills there are limitless beautiful settings for your day. Windwood has more than enough space to host both your ceremony and reception. Windwood can accommodate any size occasion large or small and offers over 200 acres for your wedding day or special occasion. Christian and I got married at Windwood in March of this year and it was absolutely beautiful! I always wanted an outdoor ceremony and Windwood had so many options, and even the backup plan was perfect. With an air bnb on site, this venue had absolutely everything you could need to make your day perfect. Arden photographed the day so perfectly! It was everything we dreamed it would be!

I always wanted an outdoor ceremony and Windwood had so many options, and even the backup plan was perfect. With an air bnb on site, this venue had absolutely everything you could need to make your day perfect. Arden photographed the day so perfectly! It was everything we dreamed it would be!

BEAUTIFUL VENUE! I absolutely loved having my fall wedding here. The foliage made for a picturesque backdrop! The venue is unique and unlike any others in the Birmingham area, so it was exactly what I was looking for! Thank you Windwood Equestrian for the most stunning venue for the most amazing day! Would highly recommend for your wedding or any event!

This event venue is perfect. It's an absolute hidden gem right outside of Birmingham. The property is gorgeous and offers multiple ceremony and reception locations that are absolutely beautiful. The staff was friendly and the coordinator helped bring together all the little details perfectly.

My sorority was able to have our Bid Day party at Windwood and we couldn't have picked a better venue! They were so personable and easy to work with, offered so much help with clean up and set-up, and made it so easy to have a sweet gathering for our new members. The venue was absolutely stunning and we had so much freedom to throw the party in the way we had dreamed! I would 100% use Windwood for every party and gathering in the future!

Our wedding day was perfect at Windwood. We rented their new cottage house to get ready in which was wonderful and used Lyndsey for all the coordination and could not have been more pleased. Everything ran ridiculously smoothly. We had a bit of rain during the reception, but coordinating the tent and alternative options for a rain day plan was easy. Absolutely beautiful venue and flawless coordination. Would recommend to everyone.

Our wedding day was perfect at Windwood. We rented their new cottage house to get ready in which was wonderful and used Lyndsey for all the coordination and could not have been more pleased. My hubby and I were married at Windwood Equestrian on May 21, 2022 and we honestly couldn’t have picked a better venue! We toured a few other places in the Bham/Tuscaloosa area but the minute we passed through the gates at Windwood I knew it was the one! James drove through just a few minutes behind me and the minute he walked in the courtyard he was like “yup, this is it! I’m not looking at anything else.” The evergreens all around were amazing by themselves just because you don’t have to go all out with florals if you don’t want to. But it wasn’t just the beautiful setting, it was definitely Lyndsey - the coordinator there. Like a crazy woman, I decided I would plan our wedding myself (which I do not recommend to anyone) and thankfully at every confused or overwhelming point Lyndsey was there. I mean for literally everything! Finances to layouts to vendor recommendations, coordinating with both sets of our parents all out of state. So many options to choose from for your ceremony/reception and we even stayed the night before at the carriage house (my maid and matron of honor and myself) which is where the bridal party got ready and had some privacy but could still keep an eye on the setup! Not to mention the fenced in area with water that we let our pups play in until they also had to get ready for the wedding! Lyndsey took the time to make sure they had water and kept everybody on schedule day of picking up people on the golf cart! She was so knowledgeable and pretty much had a contact for every possible detail. She helped with everything from getting our decor out, last minute change of plans for the ceremony when we thought there would be rain! Also, there actually wasn’t rain but if you have a wedding in the summer you might want the tent anyway - all of our guests were so happy to have some shaded seating area. And another note, originally we intended a small wedding and over the course of planning our guest list doubled but the venue maintained as a beautiful intimate setting for it all - very very versatile in terms of size but still being fitting! I’ve been to weddings at beautiful venues but even with a ton of guests it still feels too big and empty - not like that at all for Winwood. Plus - THE FIREWORKS!!! THE HORSIES!! LYNDSEY!! My family and friends are still saying how beautiful our venue was! I’d marry James a million more times if I needed to and I’d do it there every single time! 10/10 would recommend <3

When searching for a venue, my partner and I wanted a beautiful venue we didn't need to decorate too much. We had viewed venues for hours one weekday and in fact, I had contemplated canceling with Windwood, I was so tired of looking. However, we didn't, and it was the biggest blessing we didn't. As soon as we pulled through the gate, we both said, \"this is it, this is our venue\". It's like finding the perfect dress! Not only is the venue breathtaking all on its own, the staff and owners are precious. William was so welcoming from day one. I remember the night before the wedding, we rented the Airbnb, and he came up late at night to help us with something. Lyndsey was there every step of the way, managing the space while also helping my own wedding planner. I cannot recommend them enough. It was truly a dream come true!

Windwood is absolutely amazing! When we first toured we knew it was the venue for us! It is stunning year round with evergreens and in my opinion the most beautiful place in Alabama. Lyndsey was so helpful each step of the way and really made our day special! It was a freezing 30 degrees that night and she put my jacket in the dryer to warm it up! The staff there chauffeured us on golf carts and helped me with my horse portraits. I can’t say enough good things about this venue and the care you receive!

If you're looking for a venue that has the \"rustic/barnlike\" feel but desire something a little different than popular barn wedding vibes, Windwood is the perfect place. We settled on this venue because the site offers a wide array of options regarding ceremony site. The reception area is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. The stables are immaculate and having the horses there made it extra special for me. The greenery in the summer is gorgeous, and the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and like family. Our wedding coordinator there met with us prior to the wedding to ensure that our dream day could become a reality. I knew the first time we looked at Windwood that it was special. It was only the second venue we viewed but I didn’t need to look any further. All my equestrian dreams as a little girl came to life. Covid completely threw all of our wedding plans off to the point where I didn’t even want to have a reception. Windwood worked with us to make sure our dreams had a chance to come true. Not only is this venue enchanting but William, Arden, and Lynsey make you feel at home and make the process as easy as possible! You won’t be disappointed in this venue!

We absolutely loved having our daughter’s wedding at Windwood. The natural setting is absolutely perfect for an outdoors wedding and their barn is rustic but classy! William and Arden are super helpful and so pleasant to work with!!!

I had a wonderful experience at Windwood. The venue is gorgeous and the staff make everything so easy. Arden was great to work with and my wedding flowed so well. I got so many compliments on the venue and horses. I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding or rehearsal dinner!

I fell in love with Windwood the very first time my Mother, Grandmother and I came to view the property. William met us and gave us a first class tour and was absolutely wonderful to work with. He made us feel very welcome and after an hour with him. I had many questions initially, as any bride-to-be would, and he was always helpful and attentive to my questions. He encouraged us to visit the site as often as we needed to while we were planning. The day of the wedding was perfect. The staff greeted us when we arrived and we were given the royal treatment. The entire day was stress free. But more importantly the venue was absolutely breathtaking. Arden Photography captured every aspect of the day, one I will never forget. If you are looking for your perfect wedding, Windwood is the place.

My daughter got married at Windwood a few weeks ago and it was perfect in every way. The day she got engaged she said she was getting married at Windwood and gave no second thought to any other venue. William and his team made sure everything was perfect. He is so passionate about his beautiful equestrian and there was no detail left out. They were always just a phone call away when we had any kind of question. They made wonderful suggestions on outside vendors and took care of most of the planning for us. The actual day of the wedding was such a breeze and everything was perfect. The guests talked all night about how beautiful everything was and it's a wedding that will never be forgotten!!

It is a place you can’t help but to fall in love with, from the beautiful horses to the pride William takes in his farm, it all shines through!
