Situated in Westfield, VT, Windy River Farm is a wedding barn venue with a chic-countryside ambience. Boasting 234 acres of fields and enveloped by mountains, you can celebrate with loved ones in a charming locale entrenched in nature. The barn itself is 6,000-square-feet, allowing plenty of room for twirling and dining with your family and friends and allowing for a memorable day. The history of Windy River Farm goes back over a century. The post-beam barn hails from the early history of the farm and was lovingly restored by the owners, Marion and William Powell. This duo has watched many historic buildings that give Vermont its character fall into ruin and so refurbishing the barn was as much for them as it was for the heritage of the state. Windy River Farm is surrounded by meadows and the gentle flow of the Missisquoi River. The site also affords you and your loved ones spectacular views of Jay Peak in the distance. You can appreciate these sights from the spacious deck that is attached to the barn. Then, upon entering the structure, you are greeted by lofty ceilings and the wood interiors of the barn itself. To take this historic and rustic building up a notch, the barn possesses massive chandeliers that would otherwise be found in the halls of a French chateau. The spaces, overall, are sophisticated yet understated and give you a blank canvas for your own special day. For the comfort and convenience of guests, there are bathrooms and rooms for the couple. The caterer you choose from the farm's approved list also has a prep kitchen for getting your event’s meal ready. In the case of poor weather, the barn is well-equipped for your event to continue on, even possessing a back-up generator should the power go out. In addition, there are members of staff that are present during your magical day to ensure that the use of the facilities goes smoothly.

Our wedding day at Windy River Farm was truly a dream come true! The property was everything we could have imagined and more! I was lucky enough to get pampered for our special day in the couples suite upstairs inside the barn, it was the perfect location for myself and my girls to get ready in. The groomsman room was such a fabulous addition to the barn and was so fitting for the groom and his gents to get ready. Our wedding took place in the upper field overlooking the beautiful mountains. We hosted an hour and half cocktail reception in the cocktail barn featuring our favorite local band Sibling Reverie, the space was relaxing and intimate, perfect for our guests to sip and graze. The main barn where dinner and our reception was held is beyond stunning. The chandeliers are absolutely breathtaking, and allow for the most simple décor. Our guests were stunned by both our venue and the food provided by For The Love Of Food Catering. Cassy made our dreams come true with our fair food theme, all the way from fried chicken to mini fried dough bites and maple milk shakes.The owners of Windy River Farm, Marion and Will made us feel so special, just like family. They were more than accommodating, always available whenever we needed anything. They are constantly investing in the barn – from the time we toured to our special day there were so many new improvements, including the groomsman’s room and the cocktail seating in the main barn. We cannot recommend Windy River Farm enough for your next special event.
