What a wonderful and absolutely beautiful venue! Highly recommend!! Our guests are still talking about the resort, and the food. On our day it ended up hailing in the morning so the lifts were shut down (would prepare for backup in case to set up), but the afternoon/evening turned out with perfect weather. The service was outstanding even our guests commented that they were well taken care of at the wedding and during their entire stay at the resort. We had the choice to choose between the Lodge across the street, and the Resort and chose the Resort because of how great Emily (the coordinator) was. The Resort always exceeds our expectations on quality, and this was no exception. Thank you everyone for the best day, and we cant wait to visit it yearly!

What a wonderful and absolutely beautiful venue! Highly recommend!! Our guests are still talking about the resort, and the food. On our day it ended up hailing in the morning so the lifts were shut down (would prepare for backup in case to set up), but the afternoon/evening turned out with perfect weather. The service was outstanding even our guests commented that they were well taken care of at the wedding and during their entire stay at the resort. We had the choice to choose between the Lodge across the street, and the Resort and chose the Resort because of how great Emily (the coordinator) was. The Resort always exceeds our expectations on quality, and this was no exception. Thank you everyone for the best day, and we cant wait to visit it yearly!

The venue is gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the bar tenders and wait staff were awesome. The year leading up to the wedding working with the wedding coordinator to plan everything was terrible and extremely frustrating. Seems like they’re used to getting everything finalized very last minute (like a day or two before the ceremony finalizing all details). For example, I was told two weeks before the wedding that all guests had to be at the gondola at a certain time in order to be transported up the mountain. There were numerous questions and emails that they ignored of mine. It was very very frustrating working with them. Not sure I would book with them again if I knew in the beginning how much of a headache and stress it would’ve caused me. However, gorgeous venue. I hope they figure out their wedding coordinator issues.

She left the sword we were supposed to cut our cake with and went MIA for days after the wedding. She misquoted us and had us pay an extra 2000 dollars a week before the wedding. Her colleagues talk ill about her and Bri is following in her footsteps as she was NO HELP the day of and my MOH had to line everyone up for introductions. The venue itself is great, it is just so unfortunate they do not have the staff to make it a 10/10 spot.

Wedding venue was beautiful and our day was perfect! Staff was friendly and were always accommodating of our needs to ensure our wedding day was special.I cannot, however, give the venue itself and Winter Park Resort Management/Lodge at Sunspot a full 5 stars (more like 3-3.5 stars). When we booked the venue a year+ before our wedding, we were never informed of the construction that would be happening during the time of our wedding and throughout the summer (all summer weddings were affected)...big resorts like that have those types of events planned for years! We probably would NOT have chosen the venue, given the mass construction site on that was anticipated to happen on the top of the mountain. Weddings are not cheap, especially mountain venues, so it is unfortunate we did not get the venue we initially thought we booked and that Winter Park wasn't upfront and transparent with us about construction timelines. Future Bride and Grooms, I would highly recommend getting as many details as possible for construction schedules with the resort, and other wedding venues for that matter. The venue faced the beautiful mountain views if you looked in one direction, but unfortunately we did not get the full 360 view we had originally booked due to construction of the new gondola. Additionally, the service road (for those that did not want to take the chair lift) could have also used more grooming, especially as that became the only route option getting back down the mountain. We initially booked the venue with the understanding that the gondola would be used for transportation to the top and back. We were told of the construction and chairlift that needed to be taken only 7 months before our wedding date. We had many elderly people that took the service road (instead of chair lift they allowed us for as an alternative route to the top) and it may have been even worse and a harder shock on their bodies. Winter Park is always beautiful and our wedding day was special because it was our wedding day shared with family and friends...but the Lodge at Sunspot venue wasn't quite the view we had envisioned for our special day. The simple fix for these issues is for resorts to be informative to their clients about construction schedules and potential wedding day interruptions. But therein lies the issue: they don't want the risk of losing clients money (we might have not booked) if they provide all information.Thank you very much Winter Park/Lodge at Sunspot Wedding Event staff (Kaia & Ellen) and dining services (Jesse & Team)! You all were wonderful. Winter Park Resort Management, I hope you are intentional and truly evaluate customer feedback to ensure that future Bride and Grooms are provided with thorough information and details before they book with you.

Couldn't have asked for a better place to have our wedding! Emily and the team at Winter Park exceeded our expectations in every way. The food was excellent and the setting was beautiful. When a surprise snow occurred as the wedding was supposed to begin, Emily and her team did everything they could to ensure it was still a beautiful and memorable event, and it the snow actually made the outdoor ceremony all the more fun and memorable. Can't recommend Winter Park enough for the perfect wedding!

We had a wonderful time at the Winter Park Resort. I would highly recommend it to anyone! All of her guests got to take the ski lift up to the sunspot lodge where we had our ceremony out on the deck and a delicious dinner and dancing inside! Our guests were impressed with everything from the setting, service, dinner and overall experience. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Emily, our wedding planner, was helpful every step of the way, and made sure everything went smoothly from the moment we checked in until the day we checked out! I can't wait to visit again!

We couldn't have been happier with the location and the wedding staff ! We received a lot of compliments from guests saying how good the food was (try their in-house desserts!!) and how beautiful the venue was with the wooden beams, large windows and views of the mountains and the sunset. Some even said it was the most fun wedding they had been too with the chairlift ride up and mountain top ceremony. A special thank you to Emily as she made the process so easy for us. Every time we talked to Emily we felt better and we knew we were in good hands. She did so much more than just coordinate the day of. She has an unwavering upbeat attitude that helped us stay calm (which is priceless!). Jesse was amazing too and was so pleasant to work with, what an amazing team! We would pick Sunspot and the wedding team again in a heartbeat, no question.

From day one I decided to do the majority of the planning myself, and to hire a day of coordinator to execute on our wedding day. Winter Park Resort seemed to be a dream come true, then, when we heard that the wonderful Emily Jackson was not only the sales manager for events, but also takes over day of coordination on the big day. Emily's wealth of experience, helpful advice throughout and calm, \"say yes\" approach to all questions/concerns/thoughts/new decorating ideas, put me so at ease from day one and I couldn't be more grateful to her. During our venue search she was the only person that replied to our inquiry and follow up questions quickly, had great energy during our site tour, and seemed genuinely pleased to meet us and to want to help our vision come to life. Not only that, but she helped us plan our rehearsal dinner, welcome party, AND day after breakfast. As for the venue itself, the Lodge at Sunspot is above and beyond what we could have imagined. We wanted to be on-mountain, at an \"all in one\" venue: nothing to build from the ground up, hotels within walking distance to everything, and amenities galore. Plus, the Resort is a very \"Colorado\" experience and perfectly showcased our home state to our family and friends - riding the chairlift with my father, in my wedding dress, was a highlight I won't soon forget.

Winter Park Ski Resort had everything that we wanted. The best part of this venue is that it comes with Emily Jackson, their amazing wedding coordinator. Whether an in or out of state bride, Emily will make wedding planning stress free. She was easily reached by email and always answered all of my questions and eased any of my concerns. I was worried about the weather but Emily always had a plan and kept me updated. I can not say enough great things about her. SHE IS AMAZING AT HER JOB! All of my guests commented that it was an absolutely beautiful ceremony and they could not get over the views. You can not go wrong with this venue!!!

Our wedding at Winter Park was better than we ever could have imagined. It made being a bride so simple because of all the help and accommodations from all of the staff there. Every single person there was a pleasure to work with and be around, and they truly helped to make our day perfect. Not to mention, the sky at 10,000 feet on top of the Rocky Mountains is absolutely breathtaking. Our wedding guests are still talking about the sunset months later....if you love the mountains, Winter Park is an unforgettable wedding venue. :)

We had the perfect wedding at winter park! Emily and her staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating from planning, the rehearsal and the wedding day. Eveything went smoothly. The bridal suite was the perfect place to get ready. The vendors that emily recommended were great and most had discounted travel fees. We never felt like we were one of many instead we always felt like they knew us. This was the perfect place for our perfect day!

Winter Park Resort is absolutely stunning and a great place to get married. The resort itself is a great place to gather family and friends for the weekend. We had many people come up early to hang out around the resort together. We had our wedding and reception at the Lodge at Sunspot. It's gorgeous and taking the lift up to a wedding was so fun for our guests (we've been told!). The views from the reception hall are fantastic and the night was beautiful. The food and drinks were both great and we had such a fun party. The staff at WP takes great care of you. Emily and her team are dedicated to the bridal parties day of, which helps to eliminate stress. The bridal suite is HUGE and was such a fun/comfortable place for the ladies to get ready. They served lunch, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. There is not a designated spot for the guys to get ready in, but my husband and his friends got ready in our condo, which was just steps to the ski lift. It worked out just fine. I would do it all over again and would choose WP every time. It's truly a wedding adventure!

My wedding day was perfect! Winter Park Resort is such a beautiful place to get married. I could not imaging getting married anywhere else. I was completely calm on my wedding day thanks to Emily. Emily is the wedding coordinator at the Resort, and She took care of every last detail. Her bubbly energy and take charge attitude will make your experience too notch. Also, my bridal party loved going down the Alpine slide. I would definitely recommend getting married here.

My wedding day was perfect! Winter Park Resort is such a beautiful place to get married. I could not imaging getting married anywhere else. I was completely calm on my wedding day thanks to Emily. Emily is the wedding coordinator at the Resort, and She took care of every last detail. Her bubbly energy and take charge attitude will make your experience too notch. Also, my bridal party loved going down the Alpine slide. I would definitely recommend getting married here.

The whole day went off without a hitch and our guests cannot stop raving about the views and how delicious the food was. We had looked at some other mountain venues but I don't think many can compare to Winter Park, it was well worth it!

We absolutely loved our wedding in Winter Park! Emily (the event coordinator at this venue) is really the game changer when we compared different venues. She basically acted as my wedding coordinator since I was coordinating the wedding from Denver. The weather turned out beautiful, except for being slightly on the cool side (end of August). The bar staff had drinks waiting for our guests as they entered the cocktail area (the best surprise!); the wait staff was overall good except we did have to wait for about 10 minutes to get our first drink. The steak and chicken duo option was delicious -- we got great reviews from friends. The vegetarian option was an enormous butternut squash (too much squash IMO) with some risotto/mushroom mix; I heard it was OK. The WP staff helped tear down our items at the end of the night, and were very gracious when we picked up our items later the next day after my dad forgot to get them! My husband was disappointed by the quality of the comped room for our honeymoon night. It's supposed to be a free room and we were expecting something nice with a large bathtub or something, but it was the least nice room that I've seen in the whole hotel. The pillows were terrible making it difficult to sleep well. We wished we could've kept our original room the night before the wedding and paid for it ourselves. Besides a few of the things mentioned, overall we loved the resort and would highly recommend Emily and her team!

Winter Park Resort was an excellent wedding venue!We got married at The Lodge at Sunspot, the ski lodge at the top of the mountain. The ceremony was on a beautiful wooden deck adjacent to the lodge, and the reception was inside the lodge, which is wooden with three walls of large windows overlooking the mountains. Guests ride the chairlift up; the venue then loads 4 person gondola cars for the ride down. There are only 5 gondola cars in a row, so if all guests are leaving at the same time, only 20 can ride down per 5-10 minutes. There is also a bus, but it is less scenic. The food was excellent, and the venue accommodated a twist on their traditional menu to cater an entirely vegetarian meal. There are a number of restaurants in the ski village willing to do rehearsal dinners or brunches. The resort also rents out spaces if you want to organize your own or caters if you prefer to have it all done by the resort. This was an out of town wedding, but was very easy to plan with the wedding coordinators at the resort. I would recommend Kendall if you have a choice! I had a bridal suite to get ready in with my bridal party and family and the resort took care of setting up all of the decorations I brought. It was amazing to show up to the venue already looking beautiful!A late September wedding was wonderful. Most days were 55 and sunny, and the aspen trees were all bright yellow. That said, it did snow during our wedding ceremony, so weather can be unpredictable. The resort also has an alpine slide and an amazing mountain bike park, but both close for the season at some point, so I would check with the resort to make sure they are open for a fall wedding. The only thing that was not communicated well to me prior to arrival was that the Vintage Hotel (quite affordable) is ~0.5 miles away from the chairlift and main resort village. During the day, guests can ride a mini-gondola down to the village, but after the ceremony, many of my guests ended up walking home in the dark. We stayed in the Zephyr Lodge, which was right in the middle of everything and had a kitchen, living room, and a great view. I would suggest the Zephyr Lodge for guests even though it is slightly more expensive. In all, I would choose Winter Park Resort for my wedding 100 times over if I were planning it again. We will always remember our day fondly and will return to ski and mountain bike in the future!

Our July 3rd wedding at Winter Park Resort, Lunch Rock was absolutely perfect. Emily was a HUGE help in making it all happened. I didn't expect to enjoy my wedding but, somehow, my wedding day exceeded every expectation and not only did I have fun, it has become a treasured memory in a way I thought must simply be hollywood cliche. Much of that credit goes to Winter Park (Emily and Kendall, specifically), which provided a meaningful and unique venue. Mary Jane has always been an important place for us. After we recovered from the shock of losing the old treasured Lunch Rock, we marveled at our luck that we'd be able to get married there with the new facility at the top of Mary Jane. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The views were stunning, the new Lunch Rock's architecture was perfect, and the Winter Park team did such a fantastic job that our guests never guessed it was the resort's first wedding at that facility. The bridal suite was A++++, the accommodations they arranged for us at the Zephyr were perfect (before arriving a few days before our wedding, we didn't even realize the huge benefits of having a condo with a kitchen and balcony; it gave us the luxury to host friends or stay in), and to was great to work with Emily and Kendall (who also ended up helping us out with a welcome party for our guests the night before!). It was a perfect day for us and a wonderful taste of Colorado for our out-of state friends and family. A quick side note: even though we're Colorado natives, we live in DC so we also hired a coordinator to help with correspondence and logistics, which I'd recommend to any out-of state bride.

We could not have picked a better place to have our wedding. From the very first time we met Emily Jackson and toured the Lodge at Sunspot we knew it was the perfect place for us. Emily was so fun to work with and was always on top of things while also allowing the flexibility to make the ceremony and reception unique to us. She was always very responsive to my millions of questions and provided support and reassurance throughout the entire planning process, which made me feel so much more at ease. The setting is incomparable and we loved having our mostly out of state guests experience the mountains, and they loved it too! The food at Sunspot is fantastic and the venue itself is gorgeous, not to mention the amazing panoramic mountain views. The Sunspot staff was helpful, attentive, and accommodating all night. We had some minor issues with the lodging staff (unrelated to the wedding coordination staff), including confusion about our welcome bags, but Emily stepped in and help resolve the issue very quickly, which we greatly appreciated. We had the best experience and I can't recommend the Lodge at Sunspot enough!

We truly had a wedding that surpassed all expectations. Everything was beautiful and coordinated perfectly by Emily! I couldn't have asked for anything more! As cliche as it may sound, our wedding in Winter Park was the best day of my life!

I grew up in Colorado but planned my wedding from out of state. Winter Park Resort was perfect. They were super helpful and everything was done to the upmost standard. Emily was easy to reach via email or text and was available to talk at any time. First of all the venue was amazing. The guests were welcomed and everyone had a great weekend. The food was beyond outstanding. Lets be honest, wedding food is not always well prepared, however the steak and fish were cooked to perfection. The day of was easy and the space they give you to get ready in was really fun with great food. Honestly I could not have imagined my wedding anywhere else and my husband and I are so happy we had our wedding there!!

We cannot believe how wonderful this experience was. Emily the wedding-organizer-guru made the process so easy. She took care of all that we asked of her. Even the odd items, such as, displaying the quilt that my mother-in-law made for us, helping with where we were going to put the oxygen bar (which was a hit) and making sure everyone got their sunglasses and bubbles. The venue itself was spectacular, beautiful on the inside an out. The views from all sides were breath taking, and of coarse the ride up on the chair lift was so pleasant (the quietest point of the whole day). The food was GREAT, we even got to eat it! The whole setup of the dinning area was perfect. We could not be happier. All the guest had a blast people are still raving about it months later. Wonderful place to get married and wonderful staff! Thank you to everyone for your hard work, it all paid off!\rI have grown up skiing at Winter Park for 23 years. It has become a home way from home, it was so nice to have been able share in a place that has meant so much to me with my friends and family. Once again thank you! We will see you this season!

They kept our guests content with a preliminary cocktail hour & once the rain passed,(maybe 20 minutes) they quickly wiped down the seats & sat everyone.\rThe chairlift entrance & gondola exit to the wedding had to be one of the most unique features. The lift has the most amazing views of Winter Park. It is something your guests will never forget! \r\rOur guests raved about how good that appetizers & food selections were! We were thrilled to have our ceremony and reception up at Sunspot Lodge at Winter Park, but the whole day, the entire planning process was and everything in-between was a thousand times better than we ever imagined. \r\rThe very best part of Sunspot Lodge Winter Park is that you will get to work with Emily -- the location coordinator and your go-to girl to handle every single detail of the day. She was relaxed, always two-steps ahead of me, and genuinely one of the coolest people at the wedding. \r\rMy husband and I were living in Dubai, UAE when we planned our wedding and Emily was more than happy to make Skype appointments with us to chat about details or go back and forth with emails since phone calls didn't work. \r\rThe food and service from the staff throughout the reception was over the top and completely wonderful in every way. I felt beyond cared for, my parents felt that they got such special service, as did all of our guests.\r\rWe had about 135 people at the wedding, all of whom flew in for the occasion. Friends and family stayed here and there around Winter Park, some at the resort, others at Airbnb locations nearby. People loved the small-town feel of the resort -- loved running into each other around town and at coffee shops. \r\rMonths later, our guests still cannot stop talking about the breathtaking chairlift ride up the mountain to the event.\r\rWe cannot recommend Sunspot Lodge at Winter Park or Emily and her team more than we do!! \r\r\r

We had a lovely wedding at the Lodge at Sunspot. Emily Jackson, the Event Coordinator was the absolute best! Her input and demeanor throughout the entire process from planning to execution made the entire day go off stressfree, which I thought was impossible. She really was the main reason we chose Winter Park. She has some great ideas and helped arrange a welcome reception for our guests at Docs Roadhouse (bar/restaurant on the mountain). Additionally, the chairlift aspect was impressive, as were the views. The food (surf & turf with trout and beef tenderloin) was delicious, even by my fathers high standards. At the end of the night, riding in the Gondola as husband and wife under the stars was the most perfect way to end the event.

We had the most spectacular wedding at Sunspot this summer! The venue was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the views can't be beat. Additionally, having an independent planner (Rachel from Love This Day Events) helped us plan from a distance and kept our wedding day running smoothly. When a rainy afternoon threatened the ceremony, all the WP staff were so flexible and willing to do whatever was needed to make the day go smoothly. Overall, we highly recommend Winter Park Resort, both for the wedding itself and as a great destination for your guests!

The chairlift ride up the the top provides the quintessential mountain wedding experience (not to mention the view from the Lodge @ Sunspot). The best part about our wedding at Winter Park was how customizable it was. There were really no restrictions that limited what we wanted to do, but there was also enough provided that we didn't have to plan or provide for every single detail. We feel we definitely got a lot of bang for our buck! Our guests raved about the food, the accommodations, and the activities at the base of Winter Park that they had to choose from while waiting for the wedding. Emily Jackson was a pleasure to work with- very responsive and flexible- and made what can be a very overwhelming experience such a breeze. I couldn't say enough great things about Winter Park Resort. In my eyes, it's the best mountain venue there is!

Amazing!! Emily the Social Group Sales Manager is a rockstar, here assistant Kristen is awesome as well. Very attentive and on top of making sure everything runs smoothly.\r\rThe Sunspot Lodge is beautiful and they are very organized and practiced with their services and backup plans. We had a few guests arrive late because of the tunnel construction traffic on I70 so they were unable to take the lift while we were using it for the processional. The bus drivers got our guests up there in time for most of the ceremony anyway. The gondolas for the way down after the ceremony were great for both the cooler weather and the intoxication. The staff and servers were awesome as well.\r\rWe also had an after party and morning-after brunch at Doc's which were both great also.\r\rThey do have a larger site fee, but I found when compared to other places once you add up all the details and when you're incorporating the chairlift, they were the best value and easiest to work with.\r\rTheir lodging was also extremely convenient and very reasonably priced.

The staff and servers were awesome as well.\r\rWe also had an after party and morning-after brunch at Doc's which were both great also.\r\rThey do have a larger site fee, but I found when compared to other places once you add up all the details and when you're incorporating the chairlift, they were the best value and easiest to work with.\r\rTheir lodging was also extremely convenient and very reasonably priced.

Winter Park Resort was probably the best choice I could have made when deciding where to get married. Although they're a little more expensive than other places, it was absolutely worth it. A coordinator comes with the venue, as does food and lodging. This helped bring stress levels down immensely. Emily, the coordinator, is awesome. Extremely friendly, very sweet, and genuinely loves weddings. You can tell she loves what she does, and in all honesty, she's partly what sold us on choosing Winter Park as our venue! Winter Park Resort was very accommodating to the things I wanted and needed for our wedding, and very flexible with us. I could not have asked for a better place to get married.

Beautiful place to get married! Our daughter's wedding wouldn't have been possible without the tremendous amount of work that Emily (Winter Park event coordinator) did for us. She was the most generous and easy going person to work with. Emily was our go to person from the day we had our first visit to the location (we live in Houston, Texas) until the morning brunch we had after the wedding. Emily is very detailed and will make sure you are well taken care of. Worth every penny we spent for a dream wedding!

We got married beginning of September, the venue and staff were great. For the rehearsal it started raining so they took us all up in a bus. The day of the wedding was perfect the weather was great and everyone was able to ride the ski lift up. They were very accommodating for people who needed to take the bus or even drive up if they were handicap and couldn't use the bus. I would highly recommend this wedding venue. The food was also very good but they did run out of appetizers so my husband and I were not able to eat any of them.

The venue was phenomenal, scenery perfect, and experience was all breath taking! Finding vendors was easy if you wanted to use their suggestions, tough if you went through it yourself. The staff was good, and the chairlift sealed the deal. I asked the staff to just go with the flow which they did wonderfully!

Winter Park Resort's the Lodge at Sunspot was the most beautiful venue we looked at for a wedding site for my daughter. Then we met the people in lodging (Molly) and catering (Daisy)and it was even better! The accomodations for our guests were a great value. The food (Chef Jay) was delicious and the servers were very efficient and friendly. The wedding was terrific. I would recommend Sunspot any day!

The top of Winter Park mountain offers breathtaking views. We and our guests rode the chairlift to the top of the mountain which was a unique experience for many out of town relatives.;It can snow at any time even in the middle of August. And the weather can change dramatically from one hour to the next. If you are planning on having a wedding outside be prepared to move inside and forego the chairlift.
