Our July wedding at Winters Creek Lodge turned out perfect! Judit and her team were extremely helpful on the day of the wedding and were there to answer questions we had along the way leading up to the wedding. The venue itself was beautiful, and we were able to have the reception both indoors and outdoors. The price for the venue, food, and drinks was affordable! Our day was perfect, but we did have a hiccup along the way during our planning process, as we were planning on only serving appetizers and late-night snacks at the reception. When we booked the venue, we were told that we did not need to finalize our food menu until two weeks before the wedding. It was not communicated to us until we submitted our menu that the prices listed on the menu for appetizers and late-night snacks would increase if we were not serving a sit-down meal. It was not stated in our contract or on the menu. The cost ended up being more than we had budgeted for food. Although the price ended up being higher, the food turned out amazing and was worth the small increase in cost. The late-night chicken tenders were a huge hit! Our signature cocktails were made just how we imagined. The servers and bartenders were amazing! The view was beautiful, the service was amazing, and Judit and her team helped our day run as smooth as possible! Reviewed on 15-11-2023
Miranda Yan(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-10-2021 It beat our expectations! None of our guests have been here before, so it was something new for them. As a picky eater, I would say the food and the drinks were all very good. Our guests were party animals and they LOVED the cocktails the bartenders made. The layout of the venue was very smart. The dance floor is next to the bar, so people can really have a lot of fun!! The location is also great! There is a lookout balcony with great view. Judit the day of coordinator was also very pleasant to work with. She was communicative, understanding and accommodating. We will for sure come back for other events and highly recommend for couples who are still looking for wedding venues. Reviewed on 04-10-2021
Joshua Yetman(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-10-2018 My wife Rachel and I had our wedding here this past October and loved everything about it! The vendor's wedding coordinator, Judit, was always very helpful and easy to get in touch with with made things flow very nicely and less stressful. The in-house caterers and bartender also did an excellent job and were very friendly! On top of the excellent service, the venue itself is wonderful and has beautiful views! I would highly recommend this venue!! Reviewed on 04-11-2018
Brady Carey(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-02-2018 Everything about this Venue was AMAZING! We booked after only viewing one other venue because we were so in love, and it did not disappoint. Working with Judit was a pleasure, she and her staff were fantastic, they were quick to respond and were extremely accommodating. The food was DELICIOUS and the View is TO DIE FOR! Not to mention, it's secluded, it was so quiet and serene (so nice to not have someone's music blaring, or people watching your wedding who shouldn't be there and no highway noise!). Not only was this the venue we fell in love with, but it was one of the best deals. We would highly recommend this beautiful venue to any couple. Reviewed on 12-02-2017
Miranda Smith(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-06-2013 The view from Winters Creek Lodge is unbeatable. If you have the right photographer, it will make your wedding pictures magnificent. They offer two great choices for your ceremony and can even hold it inside if the weather does not cooperate. The food is really good, but the service is only okay. The wedding coordinator tries to help but oftentimes you have to tell her more than once to either do or not do something. At our wedding, she took time to pose for pictures in the photobooth with other staff members. Nevertheless, once you make it clear what you want, she is generally able to comply. She was more than willing to provide us with extra time at the venue to set up and she made everything look beautiful. While they have a nice bridal ready room, they have no place for the groom and groomsmen to get ready other than a small men's room. While my husband was getting ready, one of the staff members went no. 2, pretty much chasing my husband and our groomsmen out of the bathroom with the smell. Our biggest problem though was that there is no air conditioning in the lodge and they have no fans to help cool the building. We brought our own fans after finding out how hot the lodge gets during our wedding rehearsal, as no one warned us about the lack of air conditioning beforehand. Even with our fans, all our guests were so hot, they spent most of their time outside, taking in the view. Considering the price and the view, if you plan accordingly for the heat in the lodge, it is a good place to get married. Reviewed on 09-09-2013
