Lizzie Schwab(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-07-2022 My husband and I got married at Wood Ranch this past July, after a two year engagement that included a COVID postponement and a venue change. Wood Ranch was very accommodating and responsive to our needs and unique situation! Everything was beautiful on the day of (everyone loved the gazebo in the ceremony area) and we were so happy that we wound up choosing this venue. The food was delicious - even the foodies on our guest list were impressed! Wood Ranch is truly stunning. Reviewed on 09-08-2022
Alexa Cajthaml(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-05-2022 I am so disheartened leaving a 1 star review because the wait staff is incredible, the food is delicious, and the venue is breathtaking. However, our experience with management on our wedding day was awful and therefore I cannot recommend this venue. To provide some context, The director of catering and banquet captain (she had 2 jobs that day as they were understaffed - which was not disclosed until weeks after my wedding date) was extremely rude to all guests, particularly the parents of the bride, the bride and the groom. She was combative and talked down to anyone she interacted with (multiple guests from the wedding commented on her unprofessional behavior). She was overly aggressive with a junior bridesmaid (9 years old), and every bridesmaid she interacted with (most of whom were trying to find a staff member to assist the bride and groom). Additionally, on multiple occasions guests overheard her talking bad about the bride and groom. The biggest argument centered around a dispute over wine the father of the bride wanted to bring in for the wedding. Both bottles were saved specifically for the wedding, and we had already agreed in writing with the venue that we were allowed to bring in wine and corkage fees would be waived during open bar hours. This woman kept waving around a print out of the contract (which had not been updated to reflect the written agreement) and was openly and loudly arguing with the parents of the bride. At one point, she came up to the bride at the sweetheart table and made her cry during dinner. The bride hired a coordinator to take care of things during the day, and this woman would not work with the coordinator despite multiple requests. The other major concern was the fact that the director of private events skipped our rehearsal with no warning and did not put another staff member in place. The entire rehearsal was done without any staff present. She was virtually non existent most of the wedding day. When we reached out to her after the wedding, she fabricated multiple details about what occurred that evening. We have reached out multiple times and have yet to hear from upper management after sharing our complaints. We do not recommend this venue. Reviewed on 07-06-2022
Sierra Labbe(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-10-2018 My husband and i got married at Wood Ranch Golf Club on October 27th 2018! I highly recommend this venue for anyone who is planning a wedding! There were some specific things i was looking for in a venue and Wood Ranch offered everything i was looking for. I wanted an outdoor ceremony but an indoor reception and i was able to have that here! The ceremony site is just a quick walk over from the clubhouse where we had our reception! The ceremony site had a beautiful white gazebo with beautiful flowers all around it. The green grass could be seen from all around. There is also a beautiful lake right behind the gazebo which made it great for taking pictures. The reception area had a huge fireplace inside that was kept on all night which added a romantic feel to our wedding! Cocktail hour was held in the Fourier with an open bar and beautiful decorations. I was able to have everything i wanted at my reception. I am not a fan of cake so i wanted to do a different spin on deserts and i love donuts so they offered a donut wall option and it was a huge hit! The big windows in the reception area looked out over the golf course so my guests had an amazing view. They also let me do a sparkler exit which made me feel like a real life princess! I was so incredibly happy with how everything turned out. I can definitely say i was never a stressed out bride. The food was INCREDIBLE! We did the plated option and offered our guests three different menu items to choose from. The spinach and provolone stuffed chicken breast, the grilled atlantic salmon filet, and the pasta primavera (for all our vegetarian and vegan guests) everything tasted amazing! I would like to thank Nicole from Wood Ranch for being my point of contact throughout my wedding planning! She was an amazing help and answered all of my questions thoroughly. She was a big help day of as well. She helped set up some decorations and was with me behind the scenes through it all! THANK YOU NICOLE! Also huge should out to my sister in law Brittany Labbe! She used to work for Wood Ranch doing wedding planning as well but has since opened up her own wedding planning business! For those of you who need an event planner she is absolutely incredible! You can check her out on Instagram @moderncharmevents where she posts beautiful pictures from the events that she’s done. Her website is www.moderncharmsevents.com if you would like to get in contact with her :) If anyone has any questions for me regarding wedding plans i would be happy to give you the names of my vendors! Thank you so much Wood Ranch Golf Course for giving me the wedding of my dreams! Reviewed on 01-12-2018
Jeanine Mcdonell(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-09-2018 This venue was so beautiful with the bistro lights outside hanging over the green grass with the sun setting over the lake . The sales director/day of coordinator, Nicole, was fantastic and made sure every detail about my day came out perfectly. I did an Italian food buffet, which came with my package at the venue, and every part of it was delicious. Reviewed on 23-10-2018
Jane So(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-04-2016 My father's been a member at this club forever because he loves the course, the friendly staff and amazing service and most importantly he LOVES the restaurant at the club. So when I got engaged there was no doubt my fiance and I would be getting married here and I'm so glad that we did! Beautiful scenery, amazing food- all for a surprisingly affordable budget. The venue really is just stunning and requires very little in extra floral arrangements/centerpieces/decorations so you can save money there. If you get assigned an event coordinator named Jessica C., consider yourself lucky. She's a boss and she takes great care of her clients. My guests are still talking about how beautiful everything was and how amazing the food tasted, and the creme brulee cheesecake (which I unfortunately did not get to eat because my dress was squeezing my rib cage). If you're a bride who wants it all but don't want to stress, I highly recommend this venue. Reviewed on 05-05-2016
Anonymous (bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-12-2014 The location of the venue is beautiful. The scenery is what sold us on this particular venue. However, there was a change in staffing 3-4 months before the wedding. The new staff was impossible to get a hold of. Within a couple days of the wedding I couldn't get a hold of them. I hadn't even paid yet. I was scared because the payment was due 10 business days before the wedding. Since I hadn't paid yet, I wasn't sure if my event was still happening. Nerve racking!! Even for the wedding rehearsal, I didn't meet the coordinator in person until I was leaving the rehearsal. She said she would be around and I caught a glimpse of her once. We had to wait 20 minutes into the rehearsal (you only have an hour) to get chairs for the musicians. Also, I was told there would be a giant Christmas tree in the middle of the reception room. I didn't want it but I didn't have a choice so I reluctantly agreed. When I showed up to the reception, there were giant ornaments hanging from the ceiling and poinsettia plants lining all the windows. Christmas colors totally clashed with my wedding colors. I was going for a monochromatic look. Trying to make everything as classy as possible. Unfortunately all these decorations that the venue put up were in all my pictures... Not only that but we paid $200 for golf course access to take pictures and were told we could go to a bridge by a lake for pictures. The coordinator didn't know where it was and didn't even know what I was talking about. She had to ask a bunch of other people. By the time we got there, we were rushed through all the pictures. I was not happy with the outcome. Not only that, before we were even done with the full event, the staff started dumping all my wedding decor into the trash. I wanted to keep that stuff. They should have warned us to clean up before the event was over if they were going to toss everything!!! If not for the view/location. I would have never gone there. They were nice but had terrible service and awful communication!!! Be warned, you have to be proactive with them. I called emailed, left messages, and I still couldn't get a hold of them. I asked all the questions I could think of. You would think they would give me some information about something. They won't tell you about anything unless you ask. One star is for the view.\rNote: even on the wedding day, the staff wanted me to go park in the parking lot and walk over to the building. My sister was trying to drop me off at the door and the staff kept telling her to drive forward. I got annoyed and just got out of the car. I'm not going to walk across the parking lot so all my guests can see me before the ceremony. Ridiculous. Reviewed on 29-01-2015

Kristal Petersen(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-06-2014 After searching multiple venues I finally found Wood Ranch. The ceremony site is off to the side of the club house down a long trail which I found very different from other country clubs I looked at. Just beyond the gazebo is a gorgeous mountain back drop. It is a private course so they keep the grounds in pristine condition! We've had so many compliments so far on how beautiful our wedding turned out. Viviana Rico(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-09-2013 Linda and Kara from Wood Ranch Golf Club were a GREAT help in the planning of our wedding. We visited about 6 venues on the California Coast before Wood Ranch and 1 venue after, just to be sure, but after meeting with Linda, we just could not go with anyone else! She was very professional, totally not pushy with the sale, and she made us feel extremely comfortable with the whole process. Linda practically painted a picture for us as to how the day would go as we toured the venue. It is a classy, gorgeous, and very romantic venue, the view from the reception area is beautiful and the view from the gazebo is breathtaking. Our pictures turned out fantastic due to the views and the greenery of the golf course. Linda and Kara helped us through the whole process. They were very patient and informative and they were quick to email me back with an answer to any question that I had. I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants to have a beautiful wedding and wants the process to be as easy as possible thanks to a couple girls.
