Woodhaven Country Club is a charming wedding venue in Louisville, KY. With lush green lawns, sparkling lakes, and elegant event spaces, this sprawling country club provides a gorgeous backdrop for weddings. Woodhaven Country Club has been family-owned and -operated since 1957. With an emphasis on treating guests with kindness and respect, the staff ensures that you'll feel comfortable and relaxed when on club grounds. Youâll never want to leave this venue, which boasts a world-class golf course, a family-friendly swimming pool, and various social events year-round. Whatever size your wedding may be, Woodhaven has the perfect space for you. The property houses multiple dining rooms of various sizes, and the largest can host up to 400 guests. The event spaces are timeless and elegant, featuring fountains, fireplaces, and even a stunning white grand piano, and there are plenty of indoor and outdoor sites to host ceremonies. Woodhaven's event planning staff will work with you leading up to the wedding to determine which sites and event spaces will work best for you. In terms of dining, you can choose from various thoughtfully created reception menus that include a wide variety of savory options created by the executive chef. All wedding packages include round tables, linens and napkins, white Chiavari chairs, dinnerware, glassware, and silverware, with the opportunity to add on Woodhaven's preferred DJ/ MC if you choose. The private bar will be available for use by your guests, and you can choose from four open bar packages at a variety of price points or opt to have a cash bar. The venue also offers one all-inclusive package that provides everything needed for your ceremony and reception. This option includes a buffet dinner and open bar, which is an excellent choice for couples that don't want the stress of planning everything themselves.

Woodhaven Country Club was the perfect venue for our fairytale wedding! The grounds and reception hall are beyond gorgeous and very elegant. My husband and I received so many compliments from our guests on the food and venue! We went with a casual dinner of pizza and salad and it was delicious! Our event planner Carrie was amazing during the entire process. I will forever be grateful we chose Woodhaven for our big day!

Woodhaven Country Club was the perfect venue for our fairytale wedding! The grounds and reception hall are beyond gorgeous and very elegant. I couldnât recommend Woodhaven more, the photos online do not do this place justice. The inside of the country club is stunning and the grounds absolutely gorgeous. Early on in the wedding planning process I was super overwhelmed and my husband and I were considering doing an immediate family only wedding so we almost canceled touring this place, but Iâm truly glad we didnât. I spent an hour and 10 minutes talking to Shelby and Carrie the event coordinators and when I walked out, I looked my husband in the eyes and said, âI can do this⌠I can plan my wedding with Woodhaven!â One of the reasons being is that they had so many add-ons that took away lots of the stress of wedding planning. Throughout the entire process, the venue was super prompt answering the millions of questions I had, and supportive every step of the way. On top of the ladies being awesome, the bar and food here is unreal!! Literally the best bar packages Iâve seen from any venue and we got so many compliments on the food. I cannot sing Woodhavenâs praises any louder! Check them out because you wonât regret it!!

I donât want to deter anyone from using Woodhaven, but just know you may have to stay on top of your âevent/wedding plannerâ if you want things done. The venue is no doubt beautiful, but the honest reason we picked Woodhaven is because my aunt is a member & they offer discounts to family. Weddings are extremely expensive & when you can catch a deal, itâs worth it. We did not end up getting as much of a deal in the long run. I donât think it was made very clear at the beginning how the discount was applied but as a first time bride, I guess I just didnât clarify or ask the right questions. I donât know. Day of the wedding, I was very disappointed. It ended up working out of course. But my âwedding plannerâ was M.I.A. at the start of my wedding because she had âan emergencyâ with the other event she was working that night. My wedding started at 6pm, naturally guest start arriving between 5:30-5:45. The signs that were supposed to be out by the seating area were not put out- this is something my âwedding plannerâ said sheâd take care of hours ago. Not a single staff person from Woodhaven was present to direct my wedding guest to the outside seating area. The guests were coming into the building, where my wedding party was waiting for direction from my âwedding plannerâ on what to do. MY HUSBAND & PHOTOGRAPHER WERE DIRECTING OUR GUESTS WHERE TO GO SIT OUTSIDE. Iâm not sure why it had to fall on me to text the âwedding plannerâ to come do her job. I say that because, what bride honestly has any idea where their phone even is 15 mins before the wedding is supposed to start?! Luckily my vows were on my phone, so I knew exactly where mine was. But it still blows my mind that it fell on me to communicate with the âwedding plannerâ that people were showing up & theyâre gathering inside. Thatâs no shade to my family either. Thatâs 100% shade to Woodhaven!I handled the situation with the discount calmly. The âwedding plannerâ called me a few days after the ordeal with the discount, to ask how I wanted to handle food while we were getting ready. BTW, you canât bring in outside food and bev- this wasnât made clear to me either until 2 weeks before the wedding. During that phone call she brought up the situation about the ordeal with the discount. Firstly, she has no idea how to handle conflict or problem solve. Secondly (and this goes with #1), she has no customer service etiquette. She continued to defend her actions and cover her butt, even though sheâs the one that brought it up. I didnât say anything about it. I actually told her I didnât want to talk about it anymore.Woodhaven, even with the âdiscountâ, is still very expensive. Like I said, the venue is beautiful & the food is good. With that being said. I spent a lot of money to not have my âwedding plannersâ full & undivided attention the night of my wedding. Iâm not asking her to hold my hand. But I am asking her to SHOW UP WHEN MY WEDDING IS STARTING AND DO HER JOB! Not only was she behind, but she was defending her actions, not apologizing for her mistakes. Again- lack of conflict resolution & customer service skills. Itâs my wedding day & you werenât there & didnât do what you were supposed to do. Itâs been a month since my wedding, & I still havenât gotten an apology for that. I donât expect to. BTW, this other event was a birthday party. So I guess that was more important than the very expensive wedding that was going on.& their DJ- ehh. The party did not live up to the hype!

Our event coordinator was Carrie and she made sure our day ran as smooth as possible and was exactly what we envisioned. We did the package which included food, decorations, an open bar, and much more. Not having to figure out so many minor details made the planning process non-stressful and actually fun. The only negative thing I would say is that some of the landscape didnât seem to be taken care of and the fountain in front could use a refresh.

Carrie was incredibly helpful as our contact pointâ sheâs very knowledgeable and ready o offer suggestions, but is also open and helpful to making new ideas come to life. Woodhaven covers all major wedding woes in one blanket cost and can make planning so much easierâ their packages include food, bar, tables, chairs, decor, and DJ. You can check so much off the list with one decision.

We had to postpone our wedding reception due to the COVID-19 pandemic and ended up having a delayed wedding reception/first anniversary party. Carrie was absolutely fabulous to work with. She was very easy to work with, well organized and made the planning process a breeze. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful. Everything went as planned for the evening without any stress from us. The food was great and our guests loved it. We received so many compliments regarding the kindness of the staff and how well the event was organized. I would highly recommend Woodhaven Country Club as a venue!

My wedding reception was hosted at Woodhaven on July 31, 2021. We toured the venue early 2020 and fell in love with it right away. Not only did the venue offer scenery for photography, they had flexible packages to fit our needs. I planned my entire wedding without a planner and Woodhaven made this possible. The team was always available for calls/ emails and replied quickly to any questions I had. Carrie and Allie took CARE of everything for me leading up to the reception and the day of. Carrie was great to work with and made sure everything was executed the way I had hoped for. Allie was so sweet the day of my wedding and helped decorate the venue. Woodhaven is a wedding hidden gem! I highly recommend! If you book Woodhaven you will not need a wedding planner⌠thatâs how great they are! The entire team made sure my husband and I could enjoy the entire evening together without any worry and that was important for us. Woodhaven delivered! Highly highly recommend!

There was a slight mix up with the food choice, but that was partially our fault for the miscommunication. Food was delicious. Be careful when taking pictures though, as we had some golfers hit into us!

The venue is very nice I will give them that. We had our wedding there. Do not leave anything up to them. When it came down to our special day they where 1 1/2hours late with the breakfast for the bride and the wedding party. Do not and I mean do not use there up lighting the lights flickers on and off all threw out ceremony and reception. Making wedding videos bad because the lights kept changing. They said there was no problem, I didn't pay for stone lights. Then there was the cake they broke the wedding topper then destroyed the top cake that we where keeping for our anniversary. They shoved it in a box that was to small smashing the cake to the box all around it even the top. So do not let them take care of this. All these items are add on fees. That I wish I could get back. Also our guest had a hard time finding parking because they had a club pool party and luau on the same night as our wedding. âšď¸

Also our guest had a hard time finding parking because they had a club pool party and luau on the same night as our wedding. âšď¸

So glad we had our reception at Woodhaven!! Itâs beautiful, the staff were organized and the whole night was so stress free and easy! They made our plates and got the bride and groom drinks from the bar so we actually had time to eat, the food was so delicious! Woodhaven is so easy to work with and really takes the stress out of planning a wedding because they do it all!! They decorate, cater, bartend, clean up, cut the cake, etc! If you want beautiful and stress free this is the place!! Highly recommend!

We were very excited about having my mother in laws wedding at Woodhaven. Itâs a very nice country club and all of the reviews we read were great. Unfortunately, Woodhaven did not live up to our expectations. It began the morning of the wedding when we were told we could come at 8:30 to set up. When we arrived, Woodhaven had not done their part of the set up resulting in us having to leave our things at the venue & having to come back later, cutting our time short with the photographer. We ran into our next problem upon the start of the ceremony. The DJ went to qeue our processional songs when we noticed there was still music playing overhead. For some odd reason it seemed to be a difficult task for the employees at Woodhaven to fix this, resulting in a delay to the start of the ceremony. The third problem came once the ceremony started. We had our heads bowed in prayer when overhead we heard the Cincinnati Reds game coming through the speakers. Again, a difficult task for the Woodhaven employees to fix. And finally, our last problem was a technical difficulty with the microphone during the reception for which we tried to seek help from the event coordinator. Unfortunately, the event coordinator was nowhere to be found leaving our DJ without a microphone for almost the entirety of the reception. These are just some of the major problems we encountered with Woodhaven on my mother in laws wedding day. Again, the venue is beautiful and the food and drinks were great. It is very unfortunate that we canât say that about the other services Woodhaven provided us with. I would highly recommend a professional wedding coordinator if getting married here.

The venue was beautiful! There were accommodations to move the ceremony inside if needed. There was a large area to get hair and makeup done on site as well as a stage for the DJ and a dance floor. Everyone was helpful. I highly recommend woodhaven!

This place really stands out beautifully for a winter wedding! I canât get over how gorgeous everything turned out to be! Not to mention the prices compared to most venues were much better, and the food was extra yummy. Definitely recommend this venue. It was the best day of our lives!

I know Gabby is leaving soon, but she will leave her work in good hands. Gabby and associates of Woodhaven were the easiest people to work with. We had our wedding reception at Woodhaven Country Club and it is true they really are the nicest country club in town! We felt so at ease using Woodhaven for our reception, it was stress free. The venue is amazing anyways not a lot of decorating needed very accomidating there was a misshap with foodbeing undercooked but they made up for it all in all of there were anyother mistakes I didn't reallg know about them thr night went smooth and the planning wad easy with lisa.

I loved the coordinator Lisa! She was so great about getting us everything that we needed and she was so flexible! It was a HUGE space big enough for around 500 guests and you can't beat the price! Everything there was wonderful!;The only thing is that you have to use their catering service. You can't bring in any outside food or drink (excpet the cake of course!). However the food was amazing! The bartenders were great as well. So really it ended up working great!
