The place is a beautiful charming place in the black hills. Dave the owner is so great to work with. He was very responsive to all my questions and a few visits before the big day. He’s pretty easy going and always happy to help! The setup for the venue is perfect! So many options for areas for the actual ceremony and he even just added a new addition for the ceremony location in case of rain! It was so fun having a campground and the house to rent onsite! I loved our big day! Dave was fantastic to work with!!

Meet the Woodlands Receptions & Rentals Team
David and Cara Wise (Owner) We are a couple born and raised in South Dakota. Cara comes from a farm by Watertown and Dave comes from Mitchell. We met here in the Black Hills and have been married for over 30 years. We built our venue ourselves and help from our freinds. We wanted to preserve the open and forested space we enjoy so much. We love to meet new people and learn about all the different lives/experiences that bring them together.
