Carondelet House was an absolutely magical venue for our small, intimate wedding. We adored that it was inclusive of tableware and furniture, and Sherri and Trina were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our entire planning period. Do not be afraid to double tap their emails if you have a question! They will always admit if something got buried or missed and they are incredibly clear and prompt on scheduling. We fell in love with this venue before even taking a tour. Such a gem. Trina and Sherri were incredibly accommodating and professional. I had daily questions at times and I felt completely taken care of. It was nerve racking to plan everything but knowing that they took care of the food, drinks, ceremony and that incredible room flip to the reception. Everyone was amazing at how quickly they turned the ceremony to a beautiful dinner space. I could not have been happier with their service. They were attentive. What else can I say….I was just overjoyed. We wanted our guest to experience love, an intimate romantic setting and best of all delicious food. Their chef is incredible. Reviewed on 11-12-2023

Marisa Stotter(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-10-2022 What a dream venue! The Carondelet was on our top LA venues when we were first looking at where to get married after our engagement, and it lived up to every expectation. The venue is so gorgeous that you won’t need too much decor, and it absolutely glows at night, especially with candlelight! There are so many nooks and crannies for people to go to take a break from the noise and dancing if they need to. And the food! All of our guests were raving about the appetizers and dinner, and with good reason. The food from Tres LA was absolutely delicious and we were so glad that we had the chance to enjoy some of it! To top it all off, all of the staff, especially Sherri and Ambyr, were incredibly sweet and accommodating. At the end of the night, one of us needed a cup of tea to settle a bit of a headache. Even though the kitchen was closed, a couple of the venue workers still found some hot water and a peppermint tea bag - they were so kind and lovely! Thank you for making our wedding so special. After TWO years of stressful pandemic planning and things falling through, we finally found Carondelet House and it was like everything finally fell into place. Sherri and Ambyr took such good care of us, and not just with the venue but also with amazing catering (Tres LA) and bar (Sweetwater Cocktails). Not only were we so happy with how the day turned out, but the space is so beautiful that we have the absolute most gorgeous wedding album (the bridal suite is to die for!). Could not recommend this place or their team enough. Reviewed on 23-09-2022
Mallory Frost(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-09-2021 Beautiful venue. If you're looking for an absolutely gorgeous venue that will wow your guests.... this is it. I've dreamt of getting married here for almost 10 years. Pros:- Stunning venue, where you do not have to buy any decorations except for linens & flowers.- The bridal suite: FANTASTIC. It was such a fun place to get ready and take photos. (It did get hot, but with so many people that's bound to happen)- The staff is attentive. My husband and I always had drinks in our hands and were served food & apps first. - The bar staff was great, and made really good drinks.- Audio set up throughout the venue was perfect.Cons:- They switched production & sales managers three different times in my 10 months of planning, so that caused a bit of confusion. - We also had a very clear plan of what we wanted to do with our table organizing, and when we booked, the first set of people we worked with told us that we would be able to do so. Unfortunately, when we got to the third set of people we were told there was absolutely no way to do that. I was pretty heartbroken. - There were a lot of hidden fees, which is pretty common in wedding planning, but still frustrating. - You also had to spend an exuberant amount of $$ to buy out the catering company, so that wasn't cool. The company is known mostly for their food, and it didn't rock the house. Fish was undercooked for all the guests, including my own. We also paid extra for prime rib, and the amount our guests received left a lot of them hungry. You also do not get to have a tasting of your exact food unless you pay $500. - You do not find out if you can have a rehearsal at the venue until 2 weeks before, and with such a unique set up it's really important to have a rehearsal for your bridal party.be prepared to shell out a lot of tip money, because they have a HUGE staff for the wedding day. (2 captains, 2 bartenders, 11 servers, 1 chef, 5 cooks... we had a 86 person wedding) Reviewed on 14-10-2021
Jana Foley(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-02-2019 My fiance and I immediately fell in love with Carondelet when we walked through the doors for our tour. The atmosphere that has been created; is a perfect mix of old school, while still feeling hip. It's almost as if you forget where you are when you're inside. The venue is kept up impeccably and all the decorative touches adds so much charm without having to bring in a ton of decorations or florals. We had 60 guests and were able to make every part of our ceremony and reception feel intimate, but also like we had filled the place with people. It was a perfect balance of the two. Our guests LOVED the vibe of the venue, all the nooks and crannies they could enjoy throughout the evening (hello, fireplace and courtyards!), and couldn't stop commenting on how beautiful it was!To top it off, throughout our entire planning process, we couldn't have asked for a better point of contact than Francesca. She went above and beyond, helping us with all our random questions and countless proposal changes. She is a delight to work with and makes Carondelet an even better place! On the day of, Jeff and the rest of the Carondelet/Tres LA team was fantastic, as well. They worked so well with our planner and all our vendors and made it so I didn't have to think about a thing... other than getting married!Thank you, Carondelet House (and Francesca & Jeff) for being the perfect wedding venue! Joelle Garfinkel(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-01-2016 The minute we walked into Carondelet, we knew this was where we would get married. There's simply no other venue like this, especially in Los Angeles. Each room is filled with so much character and it does feel like you're in in a private residence as opposed to a wedding venue (just the vibe we were looking for). On top of the perfect location, the service from everyone is really top-notch. We dealt mainly with Crystal, who answered emails (and there were lots of them) quickly and pleasantly and was happy to customize anything and everything. Their onsite manager, Alex is also fantastic and made the day-of and rehearsal absolutely seamless for us. We also went with their in-house caterer, Tres L.A. Be prepared: it will be hands-down the best meal of your life. Everyone is still raving about the food and service. Lindsey Reich(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-04-2014 Of all the vendors we booked, I was most excited about Carondelet House. It was just perfect for the laid-back, cocktail party vibe we were going for, while still being oh-so-elegant. It didn't take me long to realize there was no where else like it, and so we squeezed our guest list and reallocated our budget to make it work.\r\rThe space was, of course, breathtakingly beautiful. If you want a wedding venue that will be remembered -- one that will stand out against all the run-to-the-mill ballrooms with square dance floors, this is your place. Trust me on this one.\r\rThe service staff on the day were nothing short of stupendous. Their service blew me away, and I couldn't ask for more friendly, attentive staff. I cannot stress enough how impressed I was by them. The Service score would be off the charts if it were just based on April 6th.\r\rGetting to the wedding day was a little bit more of a challenge. I often felt as though we were expected to know what we were doing, as if we had done this before. Perhaps it is because they typically deal with Coordinators, but we didn't have one and were doing it on our own. There seemed to be a general lack of patience from Lara to our questions, and though she was always professional, I never looked forward to having to contact her. Their contract also has a little bit of a \"nickle and dime\" feel to it -- be sure to total up all the little fees and charges if your budget is tight (there are a lot of them!).\r\rIf you love the space (and you should), go for it. Your day will be perfect and you won't remember the uphill trek it sometimes took to get there. Reviewed on 24-06-2014
