Situated next to Hosensock Creek, Catalpa Grove is a four-season, 200 seat capacity, venue that will serve as the perfect setting for your memorable day. Your guests will be amazed by our timber cathedral building with elegant chandeliers, stone fireplace, and balcony overlooking a 10-acre lake, all nestled among majestic pine trees and unique catalpa trees for which our venue is named. Additional amenities include air conditioning, heat, heated floors (ideal for dancing without shoes), fireplace, stage, fire pit, warming kitchen, loft (with a TV that can play sports games if desired), bridal suite, and indoor or outdoor ceremony space. Catalpa Grove is on the former Lakewood Park property that once entertained guests as an amusement park and theater. Thousands flocked from all around to enjoy amenities including music, rides, swimming, theater, and more. Rental prices for 2023 range as low as $5,000 on a weekday to $7,200 on a Saturday for use of the venue from 9 AM to 11 PM. Additional services are available for an additional fee. We had our wedding on May 26, and it was perfect. We worked with Marissa, who made the whole experience so easy and stress free. She answered every single question I had, and was honestly a dream to work with. Some of our guests got a little rowdy on the day of, and she was so patient with any trouble they may have caused. Even after the wedding, when I was looking for some items that we just couldn’t find, she reached out to the other venue staff to see if we could locate them. Catalpa was the perfect venue and I cannot imagine having our wedding anywhere else. Our guests loved it, and we loved it. We hope to visit again in the future!

Overall venue is a 10 out of 10! From the venue itself to the staff to the cabins. They were able to make my dream wedding come true! There is not other venue like Catalpa Grove! Staff we patient and kind through the whole process. We rented all 11 cabins out and it was such a nice touch to have friends and family stay the entire time with us!

This venue is just absolute perfection. I'll put it this way - I started with a spreadsheet of 200+ wedding venues to research across PA, and toured 10+ of them, and Catalpa both checked every box on paper and also every WOW factor in person. Let's start with the obvious - this venue is just absolutely beautiful, inside and out. It has the rustic charm of the lake, the woods, the trees, the wood, but it also is extremely elegant and modern. From the moment we drove up, we were in love with its beauty and setting. Then there are the people - every single person we interacted with was not only just helpful and professional, but you can tell that they truly take pride in this place and care about the couples who have their wedding here. Karen gave us an incredible tour and helped us through the booking process, and Candice was absolutely delightful, organized, and made our month-of and day-of coordination go flawlessly. Catalpa is extremely organized and detail-oriented. They send checklists, ask questions, and guide you through the entire process, and they will work with you to make sure your wedding goes perfectly. And finally, I want to touch on just how unique this venue is. We were able to rent the venue for both Friday and Saturday, allowing us to spend Friday setting up our decor and having our rehearsal, and then having the ceremony and reception on Saturday. Friday night, the entire wedding party stayed in the on-site cabins, and Catalpa even lit the firepit for us to hang out around on the eve of the wedding! The on-site cabins are absolutely incredible, and all of our guests who stayed there were blown away. The other amazing part about this venue is that you can truly make your wedding your own - you can bring in any vendor you would like, bring your own decor, your own alcohol, food trucks, anything! Being able to customize all of these things really made our wedding feel like OUR event, something that reflected our personalities. And finally, the guest and vendor experience here at Catalpa is just unmatched. The kitchen was built specifically to caterers' recommendations, the bridal suite is beautiful, the parking lot is huge, the stereo system is brand new, the bar is massive, the site is handicap accessible, the bathrooms are large and clean, there is a huge indoor space for lots of guests (we had 180 and still had a huge dance floor) and also a huge outdoor area for the ceremony and cocktail hour as well as lawn games and the firepit. I just cannot recommend this venue enough, and I will never stop raving about it. Thank you so much to the entire staff at Catalpa - you're truly incredible and made our day absolutely perfect.

This venue is so beautiful and unique. My husband and I toured this venue and booked it the next day. It was the perfect location and fit our style amazingly. I think 99.9% of wedding venues are beautiful but they’re designed to be that way. This place has the most beautiful industrial meets rustic style which we love. However, the looks of the venue is not what was amazing about it. The venue coordinator, Marissa, was AMAZING. Marissa went above and beyond not just on our wedding day, but every time I went contacted her. She always responded quickly and was super helpful! She works efficiently and always has a positive attitude. Marissa is such a lovely person to work with and such a kind soul. On our wedding day, it rained, so Marissa made sure the indoor ceremony was set up nicely (and turned out more beautiful than it being outside). We had some issues with the DJ and Marissa was a total champ and handled it effectively. She even went dumpster diving for me when I thought my now husband accidentally threw out money! She seriously went above and beyond for us! Marissa is really what made the venue extra special for us. Whenever we think back to our wedding, we always think of Marissa first and how truly wonderful she was! Thanks Marissa for being so amazing!

So many guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how many options there were for guests during the reception- inside, outside, firepit, balcony, etc. We lucked out with the weather being the most beautiful day but I would recommend Catalpa for any event! The space is stunning and Karen and the team were so helpful and accommodating. Karen thought of everything I could possibly consider and helped so much getting everything set up on the day of the wedding. We could not be more happy with our wedding day at Catalpa Grove.

Amazing venue! So beautiful and staff was so helpful! We loved them all from day 1! We loved being able to camp with our camper and family and rent the cabins for the rest of the bridal party. Trish was always very helpful and kind to us, I truly felt like a pampered princess all day even knowing they have weddings all weekend long! I really loved that we had the venue all day and no other weddings are happening the same day, very helpful with setup and teardown! We are still camping now and love our relax day!

Amazing venue! So beautiful and staff was so helpful! We loved them all from day 1! We loved being able to camp with our camper and family and rent the cabins for the rest of the bridal party. We got married here on March 19, 2022. The day was amazing. The venue is gorgeous and the staff was fantastic. The on-site cabins were an awesome feature. They let us take our engagement photos here as well. The day was perfect. Every detail was taken care of. Alex was awesome. She was our coordinator.

We sent an email to schedule a showing and get pricing within a few hours we got a response and a time to come visit! My wife and I got married here on August 13th, 2021. We were originally scheduled for September 2020 and then April 2021 but had to postpone twice due to the pandemic. Patty and Karen were nothing but flexible the entire time helping us. We booked this venue before construction was completed and they were nothing but honest with us the whole time, the venue looked exactly how they showed us it would in their mock ups! The only thing better than the service they provided during our planning was the service they provided the day of our wedding. Patty and Karen were there all day and made sure everything we needed was taken care of. Whether it was rearranging tables/chairs/place settings, signaling the wedding party on when to walk out during the ceremony and then reception introductions, or just other necessities throughout the day, the wonderful staff at Catalpa Grove made our special day as stress free as it could possibly be!!

I absolutely loved my venue! Such a beautiful rustic venue with the best staff! Patty and Eric were amazing to work with. Due to rain, they moved my ceremony inside (within minutes) and made the weather not even a factor. They went above and beyond to make our day absolutely PERFECT. My fiancè and I were so impressed with this venue! This was the first venue we visited, and was the best one we had seen. We knew we had to book immediately. Not only is the venue stunning, the owners are amazing too! Patty and Karen, are very personable and you can tell they love helping couples. Their warm personalities truly made Catalpa Grove feel like a home away from home. We are excited to work with both Patty and Karen while having all of our wedding dreams come true!

My fiancè and I were so impressed with this venue! This was the first venue we visited, and was the best one we had seen. We knew we had to book immediately. Not only is the venue stunning, the owners are amazing too! Patty and Karen, are very personable and you can tell they love helping couples. Their warm personalities truly made Catalpa Grove feel like a home away from home. We are excited to work with both Patty and Karen while having all of our wedding dreams come true!

Catalpa Grove is simply beautiful! If you love rustic charm and cathedral ceilings this venue is for you. This place is awesome because you have the freedom to make all your decisions. We looked at other venues and NOTHING beat the price that Catalpa Grove offered! This place is VERY CLEAN. There is even an option to rent cabins next to the venue for a discounted price. Patty was wonderful and answered all our questions. Check out this place you wont regret it!

Catalpa is a gorgeous venue! The chandeliers are beautiful; it’s a big open space; it has an outdoor fireplace and it’s right next to a creek. Besides the fact that it’s perfect and beautiful Patty and Karen were a bonus as well! They were one of the reasons why we choose to book the venue. They were very kind, adaptable, open, and personable. I’m so happy we choose Catalpa and I look forward to working with Patty and Karen! The venue is amazing and so are Patty and Karen!

Catalpa Grove was the perfect host for my wedding! Planning was a breeze from the beginning with Buck and Patty. I'm so pleased that I get to say was one of the first few brides to be married here. They have the hall decorated beautifully. The Catalpa team is hands on and always friendly. The location couldn't have been more perfect for my husband or I since his family was once the former owners of Lakewood Park. What a special memory for us!

When we came to do a viewing they were still working on the finishing touches. Not just all hired contractor, but the family was all there working together to finish this venue & it’s grounds. And even in their busy schedules they all stopped to greet us and welcome us to Catalpa! Patty and her family are so helpful with everything that I myself, and my vendors need for the planning of our wedding. Their helpfulness to accommodate our visions for our wedding is heartfelt and they are just simply wonderful. to work with. We couldn’t be more pleased with our selection for our wedding and reception. Highly recommend Catalpa Grove for anyone seeking a venue!

We were a little anxious about booking a venue that hasn't been built yet. But, Patty was happy to show us around and even went through the blueprints to help visualize it. I can't wait for our wedding day! I'm just so happy we found this place.

Patty Roth (Manager) Patty is eager to help couples plan and hold their memorable day at the Catalpa Grove event venue. As the Event Manager, Patty will meet with you for a tour of our property, help you with selecting vendors, work with you on your event timeline, and work with you on all appropriate contracts. She is there every step of the way!
