B. Nelson(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-06-2020 This venue, with its caring staff, is by far the best place a couple could get married, or celebrate anything in all honesty. Not only are the amenities beautiful, but the team is caring and passionate about making your day as special as it can be. We were so blessed by their patience and support throughout our COVID wedding and they were willing to work with us to the fullest extent to make sure that our day was special. Maggie Craven(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-11-2020 Andrea with Community Life Center was a pleasure and so was everyone else!!! The venue itself is beautiful and they are so accommodating to everything you need. With COVID my husband and I were still able to do our wedding, socially distanced, but they helped keep everyone safe and we still had so much fun. I was able to have my event outdoors and our rehearsal there and they helped make everything so easy and run smooth. You get a bridal suite, grooms suite, and the venue pretty much all day. It was the perfect place to have our wedding ceremony and reception! Reviewed on 14-12-2020
Jessica Stogsdill(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-07-2020 As if wedding planning is stressful enough already, adding COVID to the mix made it almost unbearable! Thankfully we had some amazing vendors who helped make things go smoothly and made us feel like we weren’t alone, including our venue the Community Life Center. Andrea was absolutely amazing through it all! I couldn’t thank her enough for being so accommodating, thoughtful and also being there for me and my husband when it started down pouring 2 minutes before I was walking down the aisle. She had our indoor plan B set up within 10-15 mins ensuring we didn’t skip a beat on our wedding day timeline. I am so happy we decided to have our wedding at the Community Life Center! Andrea was phenomenal with assisting us with this process and she answered any and all questions we had along the way! We planned our wedding in about 1.5 months and it was a picture perfect day! The venue was absolutely beautiful, especially with all the lighting. The staff transitioned the guests in the hallway for the ceremony and they made a very smooth transition after the ceremony for guests to move to the reception area so our catered food could be set up there. The staff were so friendly throughout the whole process and they really made our wedding a very personable experience. We could not have imagined having our special day anywhere else! From the moment my husband and I walked in the door for our tour, Andrea was so welcoming and answered all of my many many questions. She is the absolute best to work with!!I feel like the venue is very affordable for everything that is included! My bridesmaids and I spent morning getting ready in the beautiful bridal suite, and the staff was very accommodating. There is also a groom room that is very spacious. There are different bar packages to choose from, and we were able to customize ours to exactly what we were looking for. I genuinely feel like the staff wanted to help us have the best day of our lives. From pointing out the best photo ops to helping my family decorate the morning of, we couldn’t have asked for better. They even helped me pull off a video surprise from my husband’s best friend who is in the military. Thank you, CLC. You really made this bride feel special. Reviewed on 10-12-2020

The staff were always available to answer questions throughout the whole planning process. They were also very flexible as we finalized bar selections and other details. Our favorite aspect of the venue, in addition to it being beautiful, was the ability to have an indoor or outdoor ceremony and being able to make a game time decision the day of, in the event of poor weather. The value is also tremendous, especially for indianapolis! The options the venue has as to linens, vendors, set-up, and other details also make this a great venue to personalize your wedding day. Corrie P(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-12-2018 It was a wonderful venue for my wedding and I had a fabulous day. A few things could have gone differently... There was some miscommunication with the bar. Some guests ended up paying for drinks when we did not want (or need) them to, which is embarrassing. The bridal suite has some of the worst lighting to get ready in.. So it makes the cute getting ready photos, less cute. It is also smaller than the grooms re-treat, which is unfortunate considering it takes a small army to get a group of girls ready for a wedding. Also, I know this is a small detail, but the workers they had setting up in the morning looked at me like I was crazy when I asked if they could do something specific with the napkins. So I told them just to lay them nicely however they could... (even though while planning in my email communications I specifically asked if they could do different napkin arrangements). I appreciated having access to the venue the whole day. It is an absolutely stunning location on the inside. For my winter wedding, it was perfect. I was so happy with how it all turned out. Throughout the planning process the people at CLC were very helpful. I never felt like I was waiting long for responses to questions. We took our photos here and they really turned out stunning! It was really a great place, and definitely set up for weddings. They have all kinds of little things in place to make your big day easier (like a steamer in the bridal suite). CLC worked well with my vendors, both ones they had experience with and ones they had never worked with before. I would recommend the CLC for a friends wedding! Reviewed on 27-01-2019

Lissa Zettergren(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-07-2018 We booked the Life Center a year in advance. The Rotunda with the marble flooring and pillars seemed a beautiful site for the ceremony and the ballroom was very nice. The day of the wedding came and this already beautiful place turned into the vision I had always dreamed would be my wedding. The staff were simply wonderful! We planned our wedding from out of country and the staff here stayed in constant contact ready to answer any questions via email, they worked with the bridesmaids and my mother when I couldn't be physically present and allowed me all the time I needed when I could be there in person to measure, practice, visualise, etc. They were up front about all the costs involved, our options, suggestions, and the staff were present the day of to help my decorating crew and the vendors. I cannot thank them enough for helping make our wedding perfect! The cost is reasonable, they will allow you to use your own caterer for a small fee, and the entire day is yours and yours alone. No competing with other activities. This is a great place for both the service and reception. Reviewed on 01-09-2018
Cailyn K(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-08-2018 Very disappointed in this place. Our wedding was originally scheduled for next month and we were very excited to have our ceremony and reception here. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, we needed to reschedule so in February, when we paid the first half of our payment, we spoke to Kelsey who told us we could reschedule at no extra charge, as long as it was within a year of our original date. Last month we got an email to schedule our “Final Meeting” to which we responded, stating we were told we could reschedule the wedding. Tara then emailed back saying that we would have to pay the full balance, which we expected, but that rescheduling would count as a cancellation and that none of the money we had already paid would transfer and that we would have to repay the $4500 we had already paid. Had we know this is February, we would have attempted to go ahead and plan the wedding. The contract we signed does not state anything about rescheduling being considered a cancellation but, since we had no proof, they took our money and we were forced to cancel. Reviewed on 12-07-2018
Casey Gumberts(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-05-2018 The venue was absolutely beautiful! Our outdoor setting for the ceremony was great and all of our guests loved the indoor reception area! The ONLY reason I am giving a 4 instead of a 5 star rating is because of the bride and groom get ready rooms. The grooms room is MUCH bigger than the brides, which was explained to me during my visit before booking due to them adding the grooms room later. I only had 3 bridesmaids, and with all of our stuff and with my mom and hairdresser and photographer, we felt crammed. If they just spent the money to switch the brides room with the grooms room, I think they would have happier brides. I truly have no idea how a large briadal party, i.e. 6 or more bridesmaids could actually use the bridal suite. Our experience overall though was wonderful! Our meetings with Kelsey were great and she was by far the best wedding venue person we met with during all of our initial venue visits. She was friendly and more informative than any others. Our son was married at the Community Life Center last Summer. There was a huge mis-communication\rbetween the bar staff and CLS's management which caused us much embarrassment in front of our guests.\rEven though they admitted that it was 100% their fault they were not willing to apologize to our guests.\rThey make you sign a contact that eliminates all liability to them, so we had no recourse. Rick their VP was\rvery rude. We contacted their insurance company and they have no coverage for this type of incident. Be very careful as to what you sign.\r Reviewed on 03-03-2015

She was extremely knowledgeable, and very nice.\r\rAnything we needed the day of, we had. We even had a staff member who wasn't scheduled to work the day of our wedding come in to let us into the building when the originally assigned staffer called in sick.\r\rThe one and only complaint was that, despite the wedding, the place still had to be open for business, so, while we were there getting ready in the morning and taking photos, there were people milling around. Luckily, there weren't many and CLC did what they could to keep them separated and our of our way. Heather Lovely(parent)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-10-2011 Originally, I thought this was going to be a great venue as there was so much felxibility, the place is beautiful, and Carla promised to make sure everything was done how we wanted. However, as the day approached, Carla kept backing out of her original agreements. The day of the wedding was a catastrophe as when people showed up to decorate, none of the tables were set up (as promised), she would not let them complete everything needing to be done stating that she would take care of it. However, these items were not taken care of at all. We had food come up missing which was to be put out and no one seems to know where it all went. In addition, we rented the room until 1am and she came to us at 10pm and told us we needed to shut it down per our contract... fortunately, we continued to enjoy ourselves to her dismay. In addition, other items came up missing from upstair private rooms during the reception. Overall, it is a nice venue but I would not rely on Carla for ANYTHING and do not believe what she tells you and make sure that you get EVERYTHING in writing. And to top it all off, I had several guests come to me and tell me that she was rude to them, complaining about her job, etc and these were merely GUESTS of the wedding... very unprofessional.
