Having our winter wedding at the Interlaken Inn was one of the best experiences we could have asked for from our vendor. From the initial tour with Jodie, we just felt so welcomed and comforted and that they actually cared in ensuring our wedding day was exactly what we imagined. Vanessa was the best! She always kept in contact and would answer my texts no matter the time of day. She was so helpful in the whole process, especially the day of! She thought of all the little details I would have absolutely forgotten if I didn't have her. She is very organized, personable, and such a pleasure to have worked with. The rest of the staff was phenomenal and friendly as well! We just were reminiscing of the day with our parents and they could not stop speaking the praises of the whole staff, the bartenders, the maitre d, everyone we encountered was so polite and friendly and the day could have not as been as amazing without them! We keep hearing how great the weekend was! The food was also amazing! We had tried the brown butter ravioli at our tasting and my fiancé (now husband) and I couldn't wait for our wedding to have it again. It was delicious, along with everything else. The bridal suite was perfect for getting ready and such a luxurious room in general. Overall Interlaken Inn was awesome and I couldn't recommend it enough.

Susan, one of the resort's wedding coordinators, made the planning process seamless in two 2-hour meetings and a few phone calls, displaying unparalleled attentiveness and responsiveness.In summary, our review emphasizes the excellent staff, delectable food options, and the venue's good fit for a fairytale wedding. The detailed review covers three key aspects: Food and Catering, Hotel Stay and Event Space, and Staff Service.Starting with Food, the chef at Interlaken, who also oversees Morgan’s restaurant, delighted our guests with perfectly cooked steak, savory cheese and prosciutto stuffed chicken, and silky-smooth butternut squash ravioli. The catering staff efficiently handled dietary restrictions, ensuring quick and satisfying service that left our guests highly pleased.Second, the Interlaken Inn is a charming resort nestled in between two lakes in the hills of Lakeville, CT. The hotel has undergone amazing renovations since we first visited in 2019 making it a stylish and cozy resort in 2023. They renovated their gym, and then even built a movie theatre that plays movies twice a day. Guests will have plenty to do while they wait for the couple’s ceremony. Even though our wedding was during the winter, when most of the outdoor activities like the pool were closed, our guests still enjoyed the small-town charm of the nearby village of Millerton, NY. Most of the guest rooms in the main building have comfortable walk-in showers and a nice outdoor porch to relax in the fresh air. The pet-friendly rooms are also very welcoming for the whole family and furry friends. This hotel is extremely dog-friendly so all members of the family can enjoy weddings. The reception venue is a wonderful hybrid indoor-outdoor space with a tent that allows for great flexibility in decorations and table arrangements. In the winter the heaters that are installed in the tent keep it perfectly warm, sometimes a little too warm if the party gets a little wild. Lastly, our honeymoon suite was the perfect getaway to relax after the wedding, the hot tub providing a soothing soak after a long day. Finally, staff service at Interlaken stands out, with our coordinator Susan acting as our fairy godmother, ensuring we got our fairytale happily ever after. Notably, Isaiah at the front desk displayed exceptional hospitality, treating guests like VIPs and even so far solving a small wedding day crisis with the groom’s room. The overall friendliness and hospitality of the entire staff left a lasting impression on our guests.In terms of wedding logistics, Interlaken Inn impressed us with transparent pricing, easily accessible on their website as of December 2023, which is something most wedding venues try to hide and obscure. As mother- of- the- groom, I can only speak for myself and my husband.....we had a wonderful weekend! The weather was beautiful and the views by the lake were so peaceful. Though we were all anxious (of course!) and needed guidance, we needn't have worried as we were in the very capable hands of Susan and her wedding team. From beginning to end, she \"steered\" us in the right direction, always helpful and made us feel relaxed. We would like to also thank the staff for their kindness everyday we were there. How lucky are we to have been able to plan our wedding with the team at Interlaken? From start to finish, everyone we worked with was thoughtful and kind, and we knew we were in great hands with a team that seemed to have a plan for everything. Working with Vanessa was incredible: as we planned out the weekend together, she went above and beyond to incorporate our requests to work certain family and cultural elements into our celebration, and even in the midst of all the logistics, she managed to make everything feel organized and simple. Their team also connected us with some of the most fantastic vendors – for our cake, DJ, and flowers.We got unlucky with the weather on our wedding day, but we were blown away by how ready the Interlaken team was to make the day still feel just as special. They were troubleshooting wizards helping us get everything moved for a covered ceremony, and made the \"plan B\" ceremony space feel stunning, like it had always been the plan.We're so grateful to the chef and the kitchen team, who wowed everyone with incredible food, to Abby and Winston and Jodi and everyone on the staff who was so kind to us on every visit and over the entire weekend. It felt very lucky to get to discover such a special place and then invite our family and loved ones there to celebrate with us.

I cannot say enough about how happy I was with my wedding experience with Interlaken Inn. From the day we first visited the venue to now I have felt comfortable and at home here. Michelle showed my husband and I the venue, and even went out of her way a few weeks later to give us another tour with our families prior to our decision to book. After booking, we felt extremely supported by Interlaken Inn and their staff, especially Vanessa who worked and coordinated directly with us throughout our planning process. Every detail was sorted out and handled prior to the start of the wedding weekend, and once the weekend started I was able to fully let go and trust that Vanessa would handle everything, and she did not disappoint. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, If you're looking for a lakefront ceremony this is the perfect place. I loved the convenience of having all the events here- rehearsal dinner, bonfire, ceremony, reception, after party and next day brunch. Our family and friends were able to stay at the Inn and easily attend all these events, which created a sort of local destination wedding vibe for us. I cannot recommend Interlaken Inn enough and I wouldn't change a single thing about our wedding there.

We could not have asked for a better experience! From the moment we inquired until the Sunday after our wedding, when we were saying goodbye, we were so well cared for, and I could not recommend this venue more! My partner and I stayed in one of the cottages on the site and the rest of our guests enjoyed the many different lodging options. We decided to do our rehearsal dinner offsite, but had a bonfire on Friday, ceremony and brunch on Sunday at the Inn, and we could not have been happier with the professionalism and planning of our big day! Vanessa was truly wonderful! We did have a few small issues with the rooms of some of our guests; confused room numbers, clogged bathroom, and incorrect dates. The team handled this professionally and got it fixed right away. At any moment when my partner and I picked up the phone to request some thing or needed help with planning we heard back within 30 seconds. The staff truly treat you like a queen when you are there and help you feel loved during the wedding weekend!

She learned about our design, details and what mattered to us and helped to carry out our vision well beyondwhat we knew we wanted. From fresh squeezed juice, to moving flowers and displaying them in places to make us feel extra special, to helping us with design and layout. She was A+++. As for the venue, I don’t know a prettier backdrop for your ceremony. The infused water and beautiful touches from start to finish made us feel so special. The food, the drinks, the effort, the beauty every where we turned left us feeling blown away and grateful for the attention placed upon us. I can’t stop thinking about it and we’re four months married. Every detail and thought we had turned into our dream wedding reality. Thank you Vanessa and thank you to your wonderful team. You were all amazing!

They helped make our guests feel comfortable while also making our boho fall wedding dreams come true. The lakeside ceremony is absolutely perfect, and the tent has the potential to be anything you could possibly want. A special note for all the foodies! You can genuinely not go wrong. We were so grateful to have our wedding here on October 22, 2022. The weather was perfect, a high of 68 and full sun! The Interlaken Inn is one of the most beautiful wedding venues we've ever been to. As soon as we stepped foot onto the property, we knew we wanted to get married there. The foliage is unbelievable during the fall months, especially in October. Having the ceremony on the lake was a nature couple's dream. Definitely include the golf cart as your transportation to and from the ceremony, that was a big hit, plus it makes for great couples photos.If you're lucky enough to have your rehearsal dinner at the property, take them up on the bonfire option. The bonfire is located across the street by the lake. We had smores and provided blankets from Amazon for our guests. So many people told us that it was a perfect way to start the wedding weekend.The food at the Interlaken is absolutely incredible. We chose the global buffet and it exceeded our expectations. I cannot even tell you how many positive comments we received just about the food alone.We were able to fit 180 people comfortably within the space with an easy transition into the after-party behind the barn doors. The after-party provided our guests with so many games and lots of space to relax on the couches and keep the party going.The venue is dog friendly, which is a huge plus! We had our dog in the wedding and she was also involved in the rehearsal dinner and reception. There are dog-friendly rooms to book, but the penthouse suite is not dog friendly, so if you do have a dog you will need to have your dog stay with someone else if you are booked in the penthouse. The penthouse suite is one of the best hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. The bathroom is massive with the best tub and walk-in shower. There is a fireplace in the bedroom/living area. There is also a large deck/porch that includes tables, chairs, a wooden swing, and a hot tub!My parents rented the Basha Cottage, which came in clutch for the bridal party. The bridesmaids were able to get ready there while the groomsmen got ready in the penthouse. The Basha Cottage comes with a full kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. There is also a hot tub on the side deck.We cannot thank the staff enough for all of their hard work, constant communication via emails, and for helping make our special day absolutely perfect. Susan is the wedding coordinator we had and she made our wedding magical. We highly recommend her!! Susan, Victoria, Jodie, and Michelle are an unbelievable bunch. Book your wedding at the Interlaken Inn, you will not be disappointed.

Our vision was for an outdoor wedding that had a beautiful backdrop along with a garden chic feel & a reception under a tent - Interlaken didn't just check all of these boxes, they blew this out of the water. From the moment we toured with Michelle, we knew this was the place we wanted to say \"I do.\" It was a perfect wedding weekend - rehearsal dinner & bonfire Friday night, wedding on Saturday and a farewell brunch on Sunday. The best part? A majority of our guests were able to stay right onsite the entire weekend, allowing us to not have to worry about transportation, etc. The ceremony by the lake kicked things off with an absolutely jaw dropping view, followed by the most dreamy cocktail hour in the garden that led right to the reception under the tent. Every staff member that worked with us either leading up to it or the night of was incredibly kind and friendly. Specifically, Vanessa, our wedding coordinator at Interlaken, was extremely responsive and helpful during the entire process. I was able to text her the most random questions and she was quick to get back with an answer that immediately calmed my nerves. A month in and the rave reviews from our guests keep coming. Between the views, the lodging, the FOOD (so good!) and the overall experience, Interlaken was the perfect venue for us, as well as our closest friends and family (dog friendly, too!). And now, we have a place we can come back to every year to celebrate our anniversary!

This review is long overdue but my husband and I were just reminiscing about our wedding weekend and how incredible it truly was. We got married 10/9/2021 at the Interlaken InnThe Interlaken Inn is the perfect wedding venue if you are looking for something unique, beautiful, and all-inclusive. Most of our 160 guests stayed at the Inn from Friday-Sunday and it was complete magic. From the day we toured the venue in October 2019 and met the staff, we knew it was the place for us. I still remember this day like it was yesterday. Michelle toured us around the grounds, including the beautiful lakeside ceremony, the grounds for the cocktail hour, and the gorgeous draped tent. I had looked at other tented venues that I did not book. Nothing compared to the Interlaken Inn with the permanent bathrooms, gorgeous drapery, and the well-kept grounds. We originally booked our wedding for October 2020. When covid hit, it was such a stressful time. Michelle and the entire Interlaken staff were SO easy to work with and allowed us to move our wedding out a year with ease. I heard so many nightmare stories about venues during covid and I could not have been more grateful.For the actual wedding planning, we worked with Vanessa leading up to the event and she was a dream to work with. Every request was granted with ease and she was SO organized that I felt extremely comfortable that everything would run smoothly the weekend of our wedding, and it did! Starting off Friday night with the welcome BBQ (we had over 100 guests there). Everyone is still raving about the food and the bonfire afterwards. Saturday, our guests loved roaming around the grounds, exploring the town of Millerton, and much more. The night of our wedding was absolutely perfect. Vanessa made sure that every sign, decoration, and person was in the right place at the right time. She even made sure my change of shoes was waiting at my chair and that my heels made it back to my room before I did! The food was amazing and everyone danced the night away. We ended the weekend with a Sunday Brunch. While I was so sad that the weekend was over, I felt a sense of relief and calmness that Sunday knowing that everything was as perfect as I could have ever imagine. I could go on and on about how perfect our wedding weekend was, but just know that you will not be disappointed if you book your wedding at the Interlaken Inn. It is a small, non-corporate, family business and they truly want your wedding to be perfect for you.

Words can not fully describe how truly EPIC our wedding weekend was. It seems to be the only word we use to describe the weekend, as well as ALL of our guests. HUGE shout out to the entire Interlaken Wedding Team, but very special thanks to our amazing coordinator Susan. A little background on us… We had been together for years before getting engaged in 2017. We booked Interlaken Inn in 2019 as our wedding venue after considering many destination options including KEY WEST, Florida. We chose Interlaken for its all-inclusive feel in which we could use the grounds/accommodations for all sorts of events the entire weekend including rehearsal dinner, bonfire, after-party, and farewell breakfast. We also loved that all amenities were within walking distance of the hotel. We scheduled our wedding for August 2021, however soon anticipated early on in the pandemic that we would push our date out even farther. Interlaken was extremely accommodating with this request. Therefore, our new date was rescheduled to August 2022 (3 years after our original booking).I (the bride) was very detail oriented while planning our wedding. I wanted to create an epic (there’s that word again) party that no one would ever forget; dripping with flowers, laughter, and carefully curated moments. All these wants/needs were recreated by Susan and her team which ended up being more than I very specifically imagined. Interlaken in conjunction with our other vendors made our weekend quite honestly the best time of our and many other lives. Shout out to Country Gardeners Florist(Millerton, NY), Handyboys LLC.(Millerton, NY), Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream(Canton, CT), Esskay Four Photo Booth(Stratford, CT), Pastry Garden(Poughkeepsie, NY) and Conte Sound Productions(Smithfield, RI), and The Beauty Studio(Ludlow, MA). Please ensure you read my reviews on each of these vendors. I love them all. We stayed at the Basha Cottage which was absolutely perfect. It was a secluded enough space to accommodate our closest family and friends all weekend, who were always hanging out with us even during hair and makeup. At times, I swear we had 35+ people just hanging out around us at the cottage. If we needed anything at any time during our weekend, a staff member was happily available to walk over to the cottage to deliver it. The ceremony site by the lake was perfect and picturesque. Susan and Barb helped execute the ceremony wonderfully, including Barb transporting all guests down to the lake and holding my dress for me as I walked toward the aisle. The garden cocktail area was lovely and intimate. The reception was so much fun. Sam, Barb, and Susan took care of us and ensured we always had what we needed. And then there was the after party which was beyond EPIC (see, that word again). We had a surplus of props and an unbelievable AV set up by Handyboys LLC. The food was fantastic including the rehearsal dinner and farewell breakfast. The bartenders were amazing. Thank you SO much to the bartenders for keeping up with our party crowd.Our wedding was arguably the best wedding most of our guests have ever been to including ourselves. Truly epic, unique, tasteful, elegant, fun, and memorable. We cannot thank Interlaken Inn enough for their wonderful services and staff. We were a very high energy crowd and they kept up with us every step of the way and made us all feel extremely special and important. THANK YOU FOREVER. Interlaken is the most stunning venue. Everyone says how things go wrong during a wedding and how you need to have realistic expectations etc. But honestly, we had the best weekend of our lives here and it far exceeded what we could've imagined! We are still getting compliments on our wedding. Sooo many people told us how much they loved the venue and how it was one of the best weddings they've attended. During Covid we completely changed what we were looking for in a venue and wanted a place where we could have all the events in one location, where we could be mostly outside, and where all our family and friends could mostly stay on location. And because of how long it had been since we'd seen so many family members we wanted a place where we could do a weekend event and really get a chance to catch up with everyone. Once we arrived at Interlaken we knew this is what we were looking for. The service was really outstanding from the day we visited the venue (providing us warm tea and cookies and showing us the photo albums of previous weddings) and continued even after the wedding. Everyone was warm and welcoming and wanted to make sure we felt like we were having the wedding of our dreams. Though everyone was great we worked closest with Vanessa and she is the best. She is so kind and friendly and I honestly don't know how she does it all. She gave us her personal cell number and never made us feel like any question was too dumb or minuscule to answer. She pays close attention to detail and really tried to get to know us as a couple so that we could customize the events, the menus, and the ceremony so it really felt like a reflection of us. The food, service, and grounds are really top notch and each event we had (rehearsal dinner, bonfire, ceremony, and reception) was so well executed. I can't say enough good things about this place or this team, it really is a gem and I hope to be back some day soon!

From the moment we booked, she guided us through every step, making sure we were on track with planning on our end, recommending the most brilliant team of vendors, and eventually, masterfully running our rehearsal dinner and bonfire, wedding ceremony and reception, and farewell brunch. Everybody on the Interlaken team is warm, accommodating, and truly at the top of their game. When a drizzle trickled in on our welcome barbeque, the staff quickly and expertly moved entire FULLY SET tables under the tent, without dropping a spoon or spilling a drink. Each element of our weekend was handled with the same level of grace and professionalism, from notes left for us from the staff in our suite, to guests' dietary needs being tended to without any fuss. Because of the brilliant team, I spent the morning of my wedding relaxed and excited- I knew we were in great hands, and all I had to do was get married and enjoy the ride. Multiple guests told us our wedding was among the best they've been to- and several extended their stays at the Interlaken to enjoy the gorgeous property and welcoming ambiance for a little while longer. My husband (!!) and I had the best weekend of our lives, and are so grateful to Vanessa, Barb, Winston, and the entire Interlaken team for truly making magic happen.

If I could give ten stars I would! I can't begin to express how wonderful and amazing the Interlaken Inn Resort Inn in. My daughter was married on July 16th. She and her now husband had a weekend event with activities starting on Friday night with our rehearsal dinner which was clambake. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. This was followed by a bonfire meet and greet on the lake. It was a wonderful way to kick off the weekend. The 4PM wedding on the lake, followed by the 5 PM cocktail party and the dinner and dance were all PERFECT. I can't thank Vanessa and Victoria for their details, timely responses and professionalism. They made you feel as if like personal friends. I enjoyed knowing both of them and the great thing about Interlaken is the personal touch. We explored many venues before settling on Interlaken and from the first visit - according to my daughter and son-in-law - the warm welcome made them know this was the right place. I can't praise Interlaken enough. It's a beautiful venue with outstanding food and management.

After 2 postponements due to COVID, we recently had our daughter's wedding at the Interlaken Inn and the Interlaken wedding team went above and beyond to help meet the bride's expectations. Every detail was absolutely perfect. We concluded the night with an after party in the game room and it was a great end to a wonderful evening. We used he Basha Cottage, a private cottage on property, to have the girls and moms get ready. The Cottage is a beautiful 2 bedroom cottage with a fireplace, kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Absolutely perfect for having hair and makeup done and have the girls spend the night before in. Thank you again to the Interlaken team again for everything you did to make the day special for Brittany and Kyle.

It was a dream come true for my husband and I to have our wedding at Interlaken! It was so, so fun having all the weekend’s events on the grounds and multiple guests commented how fun it was to park their car Friday and then just enjoy the whole weekend on-site. The beautiful tented pavilion is what grabbed my attention first when we were venue-shopping. I had always wanted an open-air wedding under a tent (and during Covid times it’s become all the more appealing), but many places we looked at with tent options made you rent your own tent and that just seemed like a big hassle and big expense. The fact that their gorgeous tent is already there was a huge selling point. The other dream was for a ceremony on the water, and Interlaken’s waterfront setting is beyond stunning. Our lakeside ceremony actually got rained out, as did the dinner and bonfire the night before – but the rain locations for each event worked beautifully and our coordinator Vanessa communicated with the florist and DJ to move the ceremony setup under the atrium where it was completely magical even minus the lake! The different types of accommodations are another big selling point of this venue. It was so cool that my parents could stay in the Sunnyside house and host a few of their friends for drinks and snacks on the porch Friday afternoon. Meanwhile, three of my college besties all shared a three-bedroom townhouse with a common area and hosted the after-after party, which let us feel like it was the good old days. Another element that really sticks out in my memory is how insanely lovely the penthouse suite was. It was the perfect area to host the bridal party for getting ready the day of the wedding. There was plenty of space for all and it was such a fun pre-wedding vibe. Ahead of the big day, our coordinator Vanessa guided us through every step of the planning process, from letting us know which vendors we should book first to when we needed to make our table seating charts. Overall, we just felt like we were in the hands of professionals throughout the planning process and during the weekend itself. Nobody had to stress about anything because we knew Vanessa and the rest of the staff at Interlaken was on top of it. Best of all, we now have a special vacation destination to return to for many years to come. Can’t wait to come back!

Our lakeside ceremony actually got rained out, as did the dinner and bonfire the night before – but the rain locations for each event worked beautifully and our coordinator Vanessa communicated with the florist and DJ to move the ceremony setup under the atrium where it was completely magical even minus the lake! The different types of accommodations are another big selling point of this venue. It was so cool that my parents could stay in the Sunnyside house and host a few of their friends for drinks and snacks on the porch Friday afternoon. Meanwhile, three of my college besties all shared a three-bedroom townhouse with a common area and hosted the after-after party, which let us feel like it was the good old days. Another element that really sticks out in my memory is how insanely lovely the penthouse suite was. It was the perfect area to host the bridal party for getting ready the day of the wedding. There was plenty of space for all and it was such a fun pre-wedding vibe. Ahead of the big day, our coordinator Vanessa guided us through every step of the planning process, from letting us know which vendors we should book first to when we needed to make our table seating charts. Overall, we just felt like we were in the hands of professionals throughout the planning process and during the weekend itself. Nobody had to stress about anything because we knew Vanessa and the rest of the staff at Interlaken was on top of it. Best of all, we now have a special vacation destination to return to for many years to come. Can’t wait to come back!

We had our wedding weekend at Interlaken Inn July 9th 2022. What a great venue ! The staff was exceptional. They were accommodating and are extremely detail oriented. My husband and I stayed in the Penthouse Suite for the weekend, which was amazing. It was a perfect space to get ready with my girls the morning of the wedding. My parents and grandparents stayed in the Basha cottage, which was absolutely adorable, it had a kitchen and a hot tub on the deck. Our wedding party stayed in the Sunnyside House. They have a huge wrap around deck and large backyard, where we all hung out the night before the wedding. Our rehearsal dinner was outside in the garden where we had a farm to table dinner. The atmosphere was stunning and the food was out of this world ! The ceremony on the lake was beautiful! Our wedding was perfection ! My son and daughter in love chose Interlaken Inn! It is the perfect venue for a wedding. The entire weekend was absolutely wonderful!! We arrived early and Vanessa made reservations at a wonderful restaurant for those of us that were there. It was so delicious.As the guests began arriving everyone was enjoying their rooms, the beautiful grounds at the inn and the perfect weather. We had a bit of rain but it did not dampen anyone’s spirits.Friday night there was a barbecue for all guests at the Inn. It was so much fun! The staff was so accommodating and friendly. I would love to thank them all by name but do not want to miss anyone! Vanessa, the coordinator and a delight to work with- has a terrific team. She also recommended the florist and DJ. All were excellent. The flowers were over the top the entire weekend. After dinner we had a real sing along with s’mores, spiked coffee and hot chocolate. It was the beginning of a perfect weekend. Saturday, the girls gathered in the brides suite to get their hair and make up. It was so much fun to see them enjoying their time together.A light lunch was served- again with the wonderful staff from the Inn.Saturday night the wedding. It was a perfect affair in every way! The ceremony was touching as they said their own vows. On to the food- The passed appetizers and raw bar were delicious. The specialty drink of mai tais were a huge hit with many of the guests. The staff was seamless in every way. We had the filet and it was so tender you could cut it with a fork. Guests repeatedly said they enjoyed their meal. The DJ got EVERYONE up and dancing. It was such a perfect eveing. There was an after party in a great room that had ping pong, pool table, etc… the guests were served sliders, fries etc… we did not make it to that! We heard a good time was had by those that went.Sunday there was a private brunch. Again, the service and food was great!We will forever remember the amazing weekend at Interlaken Inn! Everyone on the team was always easily accessible and very accommodating when we postponed our original 2020 date due to COVID. They made the transition into our new 2021 date as seamless as possible. As the date drew closer we knew we could call, text, or email our planner Vanessa whenever one of our last minute questions came up. Our wedding weekend went as smoothly as possible and we never had to worry about details being missed. Our guests raved about how amazing the weekend was from the gorgeous views to the AMAZING food. Even our late night snacks for the after party were something to write home about. I cannot thank the staff at the Interlaken enough for their attention to detail and providing us with the wedding we had always dreamed of.

The Interlaken brought our vision to life and made it SO easy to plan a wedding from hundreds of miles away. Vanessa checked in with us beforehand to make sure we were on schedule and always reminding us of what was coming next and how to be sure we were staying on time with different milestones. Our tasting was fabulous and the food was one of the many highlights of the wedding. With an open bar (liquor included) our guests could enjoy a wide variety of cocktails including our specialty cocktail at no additional cost to them (some venues only have beer/wine open bar or have a very limited liquor offering for their open bar). The lake was magical - there are so many places for photos, and plenty of great photographers that know the venue. Likewise with florists - I highly recommend working with vendors on the recommended list, though you are not limited to them! The ceremony area is a short walk from the Inn but a golf cart is also available for guests with mobility issues as well as the bridal party! Barb was my driver and she was FANTASTIC. We will always remember Barb as part of our day and hope to make a trip back to thank her for everything she did for us. Every space we used was beautiful and we felt like royalty on campus - the staff knew who we were by face and name and made sure we wanted for nothing. Our guests enjoyed the many offerings on the campus before and after the wedding and we were so happy that everyone who came had the chance to have their own get-away. Many of our guests changed profile photos on social media to photos from our wedding because the spaces were so beautiful. I keep bobbing around to different topics, and hopefully this review doesn't seem disorganized but this is in part because the Interlaken made every part of our day exactly what we were hoping for and there are so many features and topics that I could go on and on about that I'm not sure where to start and stop. Although we went to see other venues after our first visit at the Interlaken, I think it's safe to say that had us at the personal touches they included at our very first visit to see the venue and the most delicious oven-warmed cookies and Harney tea they served as we took a moment to look through their paperwork while we were on the premises. Having attended and been a part of weddings at other, similar venues, if I could go back, I would go back to the Interlaken for our day every time.

Our wedding at the Interlaken Inn in June 2021 was absolutely unforgettable, and we are so grateful to the incredible team at the Inn that made such a perfect experience possible. Our coordinator Vanessa is so kind and thoughtful, and went above and beyond to ensure that our dream wedding became a reality. Her patience, organization, and attention to detail was a lifesaver time and time again throughout the planning process, and she was always just an email, text, or phone call away. From coordinating vendors the day of, to handling last minute changes, and setting up all of our ceremony and reception details, she truly did it all. We cannot say enough kind words about her and know that without her efforts, none of this would have been possible! In terms of the venue itself, we knew the moment we set foot on the property back in the fall of 2019 that we had found our dream location. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with a gorgeous garden beside an airy and welcoming reception tent. We knew that we wanted a venue where all guests could stay on site without the hassle of transportation, and the Inn offers the perfect set up with a variety of room set ups across the property. Our entire bridal party was able to stay in the Sunnyside House, a beautifully preserved Victorian bed and breakfast, and the original Inn building. We stayed in the newly renovated penthouse suite, complete with a rooftop terrace and hot tub. The penthouse is spacious and has beautiful natural lighting, which makes it perfect for getting ready on site the day of the wedding. The lakeside ceremony area adds spectacular views of the area surrounding the Inn, and the peace and relaxation that can be found in Litchfield County is second to none. We took full advantage of the lakeside area, from canoe excursions and swimming to a rehearsal dinner and welcome bonfire on the shore of Lake Wononscopomuc. The Interlaken Inn’s location is so perfect, with proximity to the Berkshires, breathtaking views on Appalachian trails, and of course the charm of towns like Kent, Millerton, and so many more only a short drive away. We truly cannot say enough kind words about the Interlaken Inn and the amazing group of people who work there- we are so lucky to have had their support to make our big day possible!

My daughter's wedding was at the Interlaken in 10/10/2020. It was not just a wedding, it was an experience. It was an amazing weekend starting with the rehearsal, through a welcome bonfire, to the ceremony on the gorgeous lake, the cocktail hour in the amazing garden to the tented reception. Planning all of this through a pandemic when we weren't sure it could happen - but it did. The amazing staff was flexible, creative and helpful as we were all so on edge trying to understand how to pull off the wedding. The venue, the food, the whole experience was something we will carry with us forever. Our guests can't stop talking about it. The amazing staff was flexible, creative and helpful as we were all so on edge trying to understand how to pull off the wedding. My husband and I got married at Interlaken this past spring, and it was a truly amazing experience. At our initial meeting, we were greeted by Michelle, who is one of the nicest people you’ll meet. She had so much information prepared for us, and the staff even brought over homemade lemon bars and coffee. After taking the tour and seeing the lake front, we knew it was our venue. A couple specifics: #1: Chef Daire and her team are AMAZING! The food was delicious during our tasting, but it can’t be easy to cook for 100+ people at once, and we were worried about how the quality would be with some of our entrees, especially the tuna steak cooked rare. Looking back, what a waste of worry that was! Our guests raved about the food- how perfectly things were cooked, how beautifully they were presented, and how great everything tasted. Chef Daire and the food quality is easily Interlaken’s strongest asset. #2: Their second biggest asset is their venue itself. We wanted that indoor/outdoor option, and we were also looking for something that had some level of temperature control. We had been to weddings that were tented, but on hot, still summer days, the heat was brutal. So we wanted a little more flexibility and control with that, and Interlaken’s tented reception area was perfect. It’s temperature controlled, and the sides can be adjusted. Since our wedding was in the spring when weather can be unpredictable, this was a huge plus. Our ceremony was by the lake, and you can’t beat that setting. It’s so peaceful and beautiful! #3: The staff are great. I can’t say enough about Michelle; she is so sweet and thoughtful. She remembered that I liked the lemon bars during our initial meeting, and surprised me with them in the bridal suite on our wedding day. Tori is also so nice to work with; organized and always prompt with responses. Both Michelle and Tori were so helpful; I felt like any idea I had, they were willing to work with and they made a number of accommodations for us. There are so many venues out there, and with a lot of the ones we looked at, it felt like just another business transaction for them. Michelle, Tori and the team were so much more personal; it felt like we were planning with people we knew, rather that just a vendor. And with the stress of wedding planning, that can really make a difference. An easy 5 stars for Interlaken!

I feel like a broken record but our wedding day was one of the best days of my life!!!I have gotten the chance to talk to many of our guests about the amazing time they had. As someone who works in the industry and facilitates weddings, good service was a huge priority for me. They were attentive to the needs of all of our guests from the transportation to the ceremony, the service at cocktail hour and ensuring that all guests were getting passed apps, to making sure dinner service went smoothly and everyone was taken care of as far as dietary restrictions. We unfortunately had an emergency take place at our cocktail hour and we were so thankful for the quick response of the staff and the professional way they took care of the situation. I was especially grateful for their flexibility on planning and working with us on all of the special requests we had. We had a very specific vision of how we wanted our day to go and they helped make our vision a reality. My son and now daughter-in-law (YEAH!!!) recently celebrated their wedding at the Inn. My husband and I hadn’t been to a wedding in long time so we were a bit nervous since we had to be part of the ceremony. Yikes! Thankfully, everything was perfect. We truly enjoyed ourselves and wish we could live it over again!We stayed at the Sunnyside House in the King Suite for two nights. The rooms were very nice and accommodated the three of us quite nicely. From the rehearsal, to the wedding prep, the actual ceremony, the cocktail hour and the reception, Interlaken Inn did an outstanding job. I love gardening and was amazed at the landscaping at the Inn. Truly, the landscapers must be at task 24x7!My favorite person was the lovely woman that drove the golf cart. (Sorry I don’t recall your name.) She escorted us down to the lake for the ceremony and back to inn. Over and over and over and always a smile and a nice comment. It would be nice to visit the Inn in the future without an agenda to enjoy the lake, fishing, and hiking.

There is not much, but I can certainly add my stamp of approval to the ever glowing list of reviews.Like many, we knew the Interlaken was OUR place immediately. We hadn't done a ton of searching, maybe half a dozen locations or so, but we have been to 50+ weddings as a couple and work in the industry, so we knew we were looking for something unique, and we found it. The following are just a few thoughts on what I thought made our special day perfection at the Interlaken Inn...#1 The PeopleFirst off, the staff are INCREDIBLE. Maybe one of the nicest collections of folks I have ever been around. Many have worked at the Inn for years, and their passion for the property is very evident. If you are asking me, this is the #1 most important thing to a successful wedding day... having a group of people who care deeply for your success.#2 Location, Location, LocationI don't need to tout the location... just look at the pictures on their website. The grounds are just as beautiful as the photos. Everything is meticulously maintained. We loved the tranquility and peacefulness of the area.#3 The FoodA quality dinner was one of the most important things to us when picking a vendor/place. We relied on other reviews, just like this one, where we found overwhelming praise for Chef Daire and team. I was cautiously optimistic knowing how hard it is to cook for 150+ people and maintain a quality product. All I can say is, wow, did they deliver... Of course we are biased, but I truly believe our wedding had some of the best food we have ever encountered. We worked with Chef Daire to tweak a custom menu, and were beyond thrilled with the results on our wedding day. I am still in awe of the job they did.#4 The WeatherWe were incredibly blessed with what I would call the best weekend weather of the entire year. I know you cannot shop for the weather, but I will say that I had the confidence in the team that our day would have been amazing no matter what kind of weather we were facing... (see #1 above).The Bad (?)Well, I couldn't call this a full review if I didn't also provide the downsides, as I saw them.... Weddings are generally expensive, overall, and the Interlaken is not cheap, both for the wedding and for the guest rooms. The minimum night stay in-season was not ideal, but we made it work for our group by making it mini-destination weekend. I will say, the Interlaken Inn delivered great value for the price, they have tiered packages to accommodate everyone, and worked with us to find a package that fit our desires and budget.The ConclusionBook your wedding there now!! You will not regret it. I am so happy we chose the Interlaken for one of the best days of our lives. I am also so happy, in retrospect, to choose a location that I cannot wait to go visit again to celebrate anniversaries for the rest of our lives. I am not even sure where to start on this review but here goes… We knew the Interlaken Inn was something special from the moment we first visited. We knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony and a tent vibe but didn’t have the time/budget to do a build-your-own wedding on a farm or something like that and the Interlaken offered everything we wanted “under one roof” and at a very reasonable price.Michelle was lovely as she showed us around the beautiful property, explained all the different options to customize our special weekend and we imaged ourselves getting married there and we were sold. It didn’t stop there though, Victoria – the wedding planner, is the most patient and helpful person ever and is the reason we had such an unforgettable weekend. She was accommodating on all the little details we wanted for our weekend and worked with us to make sure we were happy with the way everything was coming together. I think I sent her 1000 emails over the course of the year and she always answered with helpful and creative ideas. We hosted a full weekend at the Interlaken for 120 guests (Welcome Dinner, Bonfire, Ceremony, Reception, After Party and Farewell Brunch) and they all went off flawlessly. Even as the rain started to fall before the ceremony – Victoria stalled and waited for the skies to clear for me to walk down the aisle just as I had dreamed of in front of the most picturesque lake - it truly was perfect.I could write a whole other review for the food – IT WAS ALL AMAZING. Every single guest has commented to us how creative, delicious, and perfectly executed the food was all weekend. As the daughter of a Chef – food and hospitality has always been close to my heart and we really found a special Chef in Chef Darie. We customized a lot- and Victoria and Darie were so accommodating throughout the whole process. Darie and her team really did come through with THE BEST FOOD!! Our build-your-own poke bowls and NY Jewish Deli cocktail hour stations were such a hit – some people even thought they were the main courses… but then there were the melt -in-your mouth entrees – the steak, salmon and butternut squash ravioli all crushed it and then fried chicken sliders with curly fries at the after party sealed the night off perfectly. I am also proud to we got some of everything and that we actually got to eat at our wedding - because we knew it was going to that good! The guest rooms were well appointed and any issues that our guests faced were dealt with smoothly by the hotel staff. Many guests have said they would return there if they were in the area again and we know we’ll be back too. We stayed in Basha Cottage (and I used this as my Bridal Suite too – which I would highly recommend to future Brides – so much space for hanging out/getting ready with hair & makeup and a full kitchen). The cottage is so nicely updated and after the wedding we spent an extra day to relax and it was a great little getaway cottage. Choosing the Interlaken was easy for us - I grew up spending my summers nearby and we also had a lot of family coming from out of town, we knew we wanted somewhere that would showcase our love the area, have an outdoor element and give us a whole weekend to spend with family – but I don’t think either of us knew that it would really turn out to be such a phenomenal venue. I am not even sure where to start on this review but here goes… We knew the Interlaken Inn was something special from the moment we first visited. We knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony and a tent vibe but didn’t have the time/budget to do a build-your-own wedding on a farm or something like that and the Interlaken offered everything we wanted “under one roof” and at a very reasonable price.Michelle was lovely as she showed us around the beautiful property, explained all the different options to customize our special weekend and we imaged ourselves getting married there and we were sold. It didn’t stop there though, Victoria – the wedding planner, is the most patient and helpful person ever and is the reason we had such an unforgettable weekend. She was accommodating on all the little details we wanted for our weekend and worked with us to make sure we were happy with the way everything was coming together. I think I sent her 1000 emails over the course of the year and she always answered with helpful and creative ideas. We hosted a full weekend at the Interlaken for 120 guests (Welcome Dinner, Bonfire, Ceremony, Reception, After Party and Farewell Brunch) and they all went off flawlessly. Even as the rain started to fall before the ceremony – Victoria stalled and waited for the skies to clear for me to walk down the aisle just as I had dreamed of in front of the most picturesque lake - it truly was perfect.I could write a whole other review for the food – IT WAS ALL AMAZING. Every single guest has commented to us how creative, delicious, and perfectly executed the food was all weekend. As the daughter of a Chef – food and hospitality has always been close to my heart and we really found a special Chef in Chef Darie. We customized a lot- and Victoria and Darie were so accommodating throughout the whole process. Darie and her team really did come through with THE BEST FOOD!! Our wedding at Interlaken Inn exceeded expectations ten fold. We had a summer wedding in June 2019. We opted for the weekend package for 130 guests, complete with a Friday night barbecue and campfire by sunset, a Saturday ceremony by the lake followed by a tented reception, and a final goodbye breakfast on Sunday. The whole weekend went so smooth from start to finish. We were truly able to be present with our guests and enjoy every moment to its fullest without worrying about logistics. That's because the folks at Interlaken Inn are a first class team. They are a family owned and run business and truly care about creating a wonderful atmosphere for their clients. This care was manifested in the seamless experience we felt not only on our wedding day but also during the planning that lead up to the event.During our first visit to the venue a year prior, we knew immediately that Interlaken would be the place we would get married. I must say as an lgbt couple, venue shopping can be a bit stressful, as you never know if you will be met with judgment or ignorance from the venues you encounter. Interlaken was truly a safe space. Michelle the owner welcomed us graciously and talked through our options while we ate some tasty treats made by their awesome new chef! After visiting 5 venues, it was clear from comparisons that you get your monies worth. The packages are reasonable given what's included and the quality of the food and service!Veronica, the wedding planner, was great to work with. She is super experienced, informative, and a great coordinator. She was also very laid back and receptive to our vision. She never pushed us into anything we didn't want. We also cannot say enough good things about Chef Daire and her team! She was a major selling point for us. She crafted a menu for the weekend that was tailored to our specifications while adding her own flair and insight. The food was perfection and so much care went into its presentation. Daire came out a few times during the wedding to say hello and check on how we were doing. Something that was very much appreciated.Our friends and family raved saying it was one of the best weddings they'd been to and that they felt truly taken care of as guests. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was something for everyone to fill the time with on the off hours, whether it was taking a swim in the lake or pool, hiking one of the nearby trails, having a cocktail or lunch at the bar/restaurant, playing tennis, or going into the nearby towns. With 130 guests of different age ranges, everyone was able to make it their own.For us, we experienced a truly magical weekend. The wedding suite where we stayed for the weekend was included in our package and was beautiful haven for us to get ready and rest between events. The grounds were amazing, filled with natural decor of flowers and scenery, we hardly needed to decorate apart from some signs and our table flowers. The lake was an unforgettable backdrop for our ceremony. The venue hall was just the right size to feel intimate but also accommodate some serious dancing!All in all the our wedding was everything we wanted. We will always look back on that weekend with the utmost fondest memories.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Having our wedding at the interlaken was the best decision we could have made. Not only because of how perfect the venue is, but the way that they made the entire process go so smoothly. I worked closely with Victoria and I cannot express how amazing she was. She answered my ten thousand questions (always very quickly), she gave great suggestions, and she was flexible with any little details I wanted to make our day perfect. I seriously would not have survived without her. We had a whole wedding weekend at the inn. We did our rehersal and welcome dinner the night before with a bonfire and hired a local food truck. Everyone absolutely loved it. The day of was amazing. I did not have to worry at all about setting anything up. The staff did everything for me, exactly how I had explained it to them. Victoria helped get in touch with vendors for me and show them where to go, so I could just relax and get ready for the day. The cocktail hour food, dinner, and dessert were all INCREDIBLE. Food was truly delicious. Many people have raved about it to me. The ceremony location was stunning and the reception tent was absolutely perfect. The game room and lounge area connected to the tent were perfect for people who wanted to have some fun away from the DJ. We had a farewell breakfast the next day which was also perfect and the food was delicious. Everyone at my wedding told me it was one of the best weddings they had ever attended and it wouldn't have happened without the beautiful interlaken inn and their staff. I seriously cannot say enough amazing things about this venue. It is worth the drive (if you are far like we were) and we were able to make it a \"mini-destination\" wedding for our guests.

We were happy that all of our friends and family could stay on site as well as our dog, who was in our wedding. Also, the food was outstanding the whole weekend; lunch, rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, reception, and brunch. We had the BBQ rehearsal dinner and all of our guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious the food was there, we agreed! We loved all of our passed appetizers and our dinner at the wedding was flavorful and delicious. Our wedding coordinator, Victoria, truly helped our wedding vision come alive as we handed off our decorations to her and she set everything up the morning of our wedding so we didn't have to worry about it. This place is honestly the total package! We welcomed all of our guests with a bonfire on Friday by the lake, which was the perfect way to see lots of people before the big day. Additionally, the penthouse that's included is AMAZING. My whole bridal party got ready there and was a great place to come back to with my husband on our wedding night. If you want to have a whole weekend with your guests at a beautiful, outdoorsy, and classy dog friendly venue then Interlaken Inn is for you!

My husband and I held a weekend of wedding festivities at Interlaken Inn in June 2019. Obviously venue is very important for any wedding, but maybe even more so for a weekend of events. There was no better decision we made than to choose Interlaken Inn. The property is beautiful and offers a variety of spaces to enjoy both organized events and down time. But the “secret sauce” of Interlaken is clearly the staff. From the moment we walked in the lobby a year earlier to check it out to the moment we pulled out of the parking lot as a married couple, every single person seemed to be doing everything they could to make our wedding perfect. Victoria was the maestro orchestrating everything for us, but every person was so nice and responsive and professional. And when the weather added some challenges to the actual wedding day, they remained flexible and ultimately executed flawlessly like the backup plan was the primary plan all along. They coordinated all vendors seamlessly like they were also on staff. The food was fantastic, not just at the wedding reception, but at every event. This is a special place!

The reception is at their permanent year round tent. Outside, the greenery and flowers are beautiful. The venue is laid back, rustic, and lush. There is so much amazing outdoor space for family and bridal party photos as well. Michelle gave us our venue tour and Tori was our wedding coordinator. We love them both. They never made it feel like we asked too many questions- and we asked a lot! Tori is a pro and ensured we considered every detail. She then helped make the whole wedding day go smoothly. And let's not forget the food by Chef Daire- AMAZING. I know we might be biased, but we've never had better food at a wedding, and guests said so too! You are in great hands and will not be disappointed if you choose to get married at Interlaken Inn.

Our family and guests drove from all over the Northeast. Regardless of the road they took, their drive was very scenic.. Interlaken is such a charming venue. Compact yet very diverse in accommodation and entertainment options - from lakefront with its warm and cozy bonfire to sports amenities to billiard & table tennis, which were very much appreciated by our guests during the afterparty. As for food, we did outside catering (as it was an Indian wedding), but I had a chance to have lunch at Interlaken - the fish and chips were the best I’ve ever had!Interlaken staff deserve a separate section. I wish I knew all the names of those guys that were there for us during these 3 days. We all were treated as if we were the most important guests. And it felt absolutely genuine. Mark was such a big help and Michelle was simply amazing - very professional, straight to the point and accommodating at the same time. Even some very specific needs were met. We got married at Interlaken 9/22/18 and I’d be hard pressed to find something negative to say. From the venue shopping process all the way through the wedding it was a great experience. We first met with Michelle back in 2016 and found her to be a breath of fresh air after having met with many venues prior. Other venues had literally pushed me to the side (the groom) to speak to my then fiancée saying “Brides love our view over here…brides favorite thing is this photo spot..etc.” – we didn’t experience this with Michelle and Interlaken – we were treated as equals who are (shockingly!) both involved in the wedding planning process. Yes Michelle and her staff are running a business, but we found everyone to be a truly kind person who genuinely care – which really meant a lot. We knew on the drive home from the first drive home from Interlaken that it was the correct venue for us. Beautiful, unique, serene lakeside ceremony with the perfect blend of indoor/outdoor (permanent, nice tent) reception, with the entire venue itself having the perfect blend of modern/funky yet rustic woodsy feel that was right up our alley. This combined from the positive feeling we felt in speaking with Michelle confirmed right then and there this was where we wanted to get married. Interlaken certainly isn’t inexpensive, but we did find it be pretty reasonably priced for what you get and relative to some other quotes we received. Also a heads up for those that are looking for that (mostly)outdoor/tent wedding…most places we found that have this – they are just renting you a piece of land and do very little else. The tent, the catering…everything needs to be done by an outside contractor which always adds up to be more expensive. Interlaken was perfect because everything is included. We just hired photographers, a florist, and a DJ and everything else was taken care of…including the food which is absolutely amazing. When we had our tasting we were blown away at the quality of the food and still a little skeptical that the quality would be the same on the wedding day for 150 guests, but it was just as delicious – truly unique to find real quality, fresh food at a wedding, nevermind that it ends up being more reasonably priced than other venue’s outside catering that come in and reheat some mediocre food. We really can’t recommend Interlaken enough and encourage any couples reading this to go meet with the nice people, view the beautiful lakeside ceremony spot, the fun, upscale indoor/outdoor tent reception, taste the delicious food and decide for yourself!

The tent, the catering…everything needs to be done by an outside contractor which always adds up to be more expensive. Interlaken was perfect because everything is included. We just hired photographers, a florist, and a DJ and everything else was taken care of…including the food which is absolutely amazing. When we had our tasting we were blown away at the quality of the food and still a little skeptical that the quality would be the same on the wedding day for 150 guests, but it was just as delicious – truly unique to find real quality, fresh food at a wedding, nevermind that it ends up being more reasonably priced than other venue’s outside catering that come in and reheat some mediocre food. We really can’t recommend Interlaken enough and encourage any couples reading this to go meet with the nice people, view the beautiful lakeside ceremony spot, the fun, upscale indoor/outdoor tent reception, taste the delicious food and decide for yourself!

I was married on 10/7/2018 at the Interlaken Inn. I couldn't have imagined a better day. Every person I have spoken to regarding the wedding has said the food was the best they've ever had; or the lakeside ceremony was the most beautiful they've ever seen. The grounds were stunning the day of our wedding and everyone spoke of how friendly the staff was. In fact, our family member became quite friendly with their waitress throughout the reception! The planning was easy with Victoria's help. I also used almost every recommended vendor, which were some of the best I've seen! I couldn't be more pleased with our wedding day, wish we could do it every weekend. Thanks so much, Interlaken Inn! We will be back again soon.

Having our wedding at the Interlaken Inn on September 29th was the best decision! I grew up in the area so we knew we wanted to host our wedding in the Northwest Corner of CT and we couldn't have picked a more perfect venue. The day was even better than I could have imagined!! The Interlaken exceeded our expectations in every way. The lakeside ceremony was so beautiful and the tent is stunning. The draping and chandeliers in place are so pretty that we didn't need to add an extra decor or lighting apart from florals. Everyone at the Interlaken was so friendly and accommodating. Dan and I truly felt like VIPs from the minute we checked in on Friday until we checked out on Sunday. They thought and took care of everything. Our friends and family kept saying how it was one of the best weddings they’ve been to so a huge thank you to the entire wedding team for making everything so picture perfect! The team was so professional and wonderful to work with, especially our planners Victoria and Caitrin and Chef Daire who all went above and beyond! Victoria was so easy to work with and organized throughout the entire planning process. Catrin's calm energy day-of was key and she kept the day running smoothly and made sure all details were taken care of. As an event planner myself, I knew my wedding was in good hands with such a great pair. Chef Daire hands down is the best. The food and service were fabulous—two of our guests are chefs and they both commented how the steak was perfectly cooked and how delicious everything was! And the cake was the prettiest wedding cake I've ever seen--and was so good (many of our guests had 2 or 3 pieces). We loved that the Interlaken has a space within the Wedding Pavilion to host an after party so we were able to keep the night going. All of our out-of-town guests were able to stay on site and could really enjoy all of the amenities the Interlaken has to offer.

We were married at Interlaken Inn this August. Everything was perfect. The setting is beautiful - like no other. We live in Hartford county and our guests couldn't believe how beautiful the resort was. It is a gem; one of a kind. The accommodations are updated beautifully. We absolutely LOVED staying in the Basha Cottage for the weekend. Michelle B. is wonderful to work with - so sweet, patient, calm, caring, loving, and accommodating. Also, the chef is amazing. (She is newer and in my opinion, much better than the previous chef.) The food was delicious and was presented very beautifully. She even came out during our after party to ask us how we were doing and see if we needed anything else. The hotel manager and Michelle also popped in to check on me before walking down the aisle. We received many compliments (especially the food and the gorgeous lake front ceremony site) from our very happy guests. I definitely recommend renting the golf cart to shuttle guests back and forth, and my only complaint would be that I think the rain plan room inside & the dining room need to be updated. The tent company will not refund your deposit if you rent a tent and don't end up needing it. (I know Interlaken is constantly updating everything, so I'm sure the dining room and vineyard room will be done next. ) Luckily, it did not rain on my wedding day!! =) We are looking forward to returning there to celebrate our anniversaries in the future and to bringing our children there one day as well! We had our October wedding at Interlaken and it was absolutely STUNNING! Everything, from the food to the setting, surpasses our expectations, and we would absolutely recommend the venue to other couples hoping to find a beautiful outdoor location! Our only complaint has nothing to do with the venue but with the wedding coordinator, Tiffany. For the two years of planning, she was fabulous and on top of every little detail and maintained strong communication via email...then went AWOL the day of our actual wedding. For starters, she never informed my wedding party as to where they should convene for our rehearsal dinner, so people were milling about and confused as to where to go. On Saturday (our wedding day) she never checked in with the bridal suite to tell us where to meet and at what time; when my mother called the front desk, the receptionist told her that she didn’t know where Tiffany was and had no means by which to reach her. We later found out that Tiffany was showing the venue to another prospective couple and that apparently took priority over the actual wedding currently taking place and for which she was responsible. Additionally, I had spent weeks making wedding decorations and signs, including one which announced my name and my fiancé’s with an arrow pointing toward the lake so that guests would know that the ceremony would take place there and not across the street in the venue proper. Tiffany did not place that sign outside, and so guests had no idea where to go. The most offensive wrong, however, occurred when she failed to come tell the bridal party to come down to the lake. Long story short, my bridal party had to surround me like a phalanx and smuggle-run me down the hill in hopes that guests wouldn’t see me before the ceremony. Many said they did. When we got to the lake, we saw Tiffany sitting in a lounge chair.She never apologized for ignoring us on our wedding day or even acknowledged any wrongdoing, and for these reasons I am writing this review. Our wedding day is the one day my fiancé and I should have felt special and taken care of, and Tiffany failed to make that happen in the end. She may have been attentive and done her job during the planning period, but completely dropped the ball professionally on the one day it counted.

Our daughter’s wedding weekend is a week old, and all we can talk about is that it was exactly what we had hoped for. Actually, it was more. One wonderful aspect of the Interlaken is that the alternative ceremony space, and the alternative cocktail hour space, do not make you feel you are settling for a plan B. What makes Interlaken so special, is its incredibly attentive staff. Everyone’s mission is to make sure we have the most spectacular and worry- free day. Every concern and request was met with, “Don’t worry, we’ll take care of it”. And that is exactly what happened. The food is amazing, and the chefs and entire waitstaff are so professional and absolutely wonderful to work with. Our guests could not praise the staff enough. I cannot give the Interlaken enough compliments. The weekend -from rehearsal dinner to brunch -was exactly what we envisioned. We feel like we have a new extended family. That’s how fantastic everyone treated us. If you’re looking for a unique wedding with attention to detail, exceptional food and service, a welcoming atmosphere, rustic charm, and a beautiful setting, look no further than the Interlaken Inn. When I was 13 years old, my father would take my grandmother and I to the Interlaken for special occasions (Mother's Day, Easter) Since then I said, I'm going to get married here one day. 23 years later, that dream came true. The day we got engaged, my now husband said, \"ok call them and make an appointment!\" We only looked at the Interlaken and we both knew it was perfect. I married my husband in a BEAUTIFUL lakeside ceremony, although rain threatened to ruin that, the sun came out at just the right time and made the day perfect. The staff was exceptionally nice and the food was AMAZING! Our guests still tell us how beautiful everything was and how great the food was. Our vendors commented on how beautiful the Inn is and how it felt like a destination wedding. I'm so glad I not only found the love of my life, but was able to have the fairytale wedding I'd always dreamed of!

The Interlaken was perfect for our 10/7/2017 Wedding Weekend. Tiffany was great -- very willing to field all of our questions and was attentive to our concerns. When we met with her on the Friday before, we passed off all of our decorations, favors, etc. and didn't have to worry about them at all. She was the point person with all the vendors and no one contacted me or my husband the day of. Tiffany was air-traffic controller for the rehearsal and real ceremony. We wanted to have a full weekend celebration. On Friday night, we had the Fiesta package Welcome Dinner. The food was incredible. Our guests went up for seconds and thirds. Then, we had the bonfire by the lake. The set up was cute. Saturday, my husband set up games around the grounds. I got ready in the penthouse which was beautiful & huge. At the ceremony, everything was perfect. We asked for our specialty cocktail to be served before the ceremony and Tiffany got it done. While we took pics, she brought us appetizers.The cocktail hour and reception were perfectly set up. The appetizers came around plentifully. The oyster station was refilled at least four times. There were enough high and regular tables at the cocktail hour that no one had to struggle with food and drink. We wanted a particular schedule for dinner to maximize dancing and Tiffany completely accommodated. She handled allergies with ease. Our guests loved the food. Some said the lobster bisque was the best they ever had. Others said the same about the duck. I know many guests tried all three types of pies at our dessert station. Also, the bartenders gave generous pours and guests appreciated it. After the reception, Tiffany packed up our special items quickly. There was no confusion at the end about our sentimental stuff or our anniversary cake. Tiffany managed the afterparty and was willing to keep our desserts out longer so guests could snack. I can't say enough. I wish it was our wedding weekend again.

We were married the weekend of 9/16/17 at the Interlaken Inn. When looking for a wedding venue, we wanted a place where the entire wedding could take place start to finish in one location, and everybody could stay there together. Interlaken gave us the setting for a beautiful weekend filled with lawn games, dancing, and good times. Everyone raved about how gorgeous the scenery was, how good the food was, how great the whole weekend was. The rooms are a bit more expensive than your average hotel, but Interlaken has a great selection of town houses and cottages that you can pack your younger, more cash-strapped guests into- and they'll have more fun that way also! Tiffany, their wedding coordinator, was just a dream and made our whole weekend so effortless and perfect. Cannot say enough good things!!

We were married the weekend of 9/16/17 at the Interlaken Inn. When looking for a wedding venue, we wanted a place where the entire wedding could take place start to finish in one location, and everybody could stay there together. Interlaken gave us the setting for a beautiful weekend filled with lawn games, dancing, and good times. Everyone raved about how gorgeous the scenery was, how good the food was, how great the whole weekend was. The rooms are a bit more expensive than your average hotel, but Interlaken has a great selection of town houses and cottages that you can pack your younger, more cash-strapped guests into- and they'll have more fun that way also! Tiffany, their wedding coordinator, was just a dream and made our whole weekend so effortless and perfect. Cannot say enough good things!!

My husband and I were married at the Interlaken Inn on August 19th. We had a beautiful weekend spent lakeside with endless activities for our guests to partake in. We simply could not (and cannot) imagine a more beautiful place to get married, and we were not disappointed. The Interlaken Inn offered a laid back, cozy, and welcoming vibe that our friends and family are still raving about. Guests swam in the lake, played games on the lawn, and took advantage of the beautiful grounds - exactly how we planned it. They even arranged for good weather. The staff was friendly, and the food was fantastic! The only bad thing is that it had to come to an end. We hope to come back one day soon!

It felt like a true country escape but with upscale amenities. The cottage was clean, cute, well-decorated, and stocked with little creature comforts. Interlaken Inn’s customer service is some of the best I have experienced in any of my travels. Since this was a destination wedding, it was very important that we had help planning from a distance. Michelle was so responsive and helped us plan every step of the way to make sure that our fantasy became a reality. She was personally invested in our day and genuinely cared about making it magical, down to the very last detail. I’d go so far as to say she was more enthusiastic and helpful than even a Maid of Honor! The Interlaken Inn makes every effort to create a custom and memorable experience for each of its guests. The attention to detail is remarkable and everything possible is done to make you feel special. The catering and onsite restaurant, Morgan’s, are astounding. The presentation of the food is more than Instagram worthy. It looks ripped from the pages of Saveur Magazine. The preparation would impress even the harshest food critic. The farm to table experience can be appreciated with every bite, as the freshness and quality ingredients distinguish it from the average wedding fare. I promise that once you have your wedding at the Interlaken Inn, you will want to come back for every anniversary. I know we do!

I truly cannot give enough praise to Interlaken Inn for coordinating an amazing wedding for us. I was married there at the end of May, and it was everything I could've hoped and more. We had a Friday night Bonfire which was a great way to kick off the weekend. On the wedding day we had our unique ceremony down by the lake, a cocktail hour in the beautiful garden, dinner and reception in the tent and an after party in the game room/study. I am not the greatest planner but Tiffany really pulled it all together and made sure the day went exactly as hoped!Their food is truly amazing – high restaurant quality and not at all like generic wedding food. We also loved that all of our guests could stay on premise, not have to worry about transportation, and maximize our time together. I keep thinking back on how perfect it all turned out, definitely a day I will cherish forever. I would highly, highly recommend Interlaken for those looking for a beautiful, well organized venue. We keep getting comments on how memorable and fun the day was, and it was all thanks to the Interlaken!

Writing this review as someone who just toured the Interlaken Inn and was so impressed with the service, I had to write this! I have not booked my wedding yet, but after writing back and forth with Teri and Michelle, I visited the beautiful Interlaken Inn once by myself and again to show my mother & my fiancé. Even in the middle of winter, the venue is breathtaking (just take a look at the gorgeous photos!). Teri showed me around the first time and spent well over the \"normal\" amount of time with me answering all my questions and showing me every inch of the property. The next visit, Michelle - who is the warmest person you will ever meet- took us around. By the end of the visit I felt like she was an old friend. I highly recommend this venue and these wonderful women to take care of your special day! They really think of everything to make it perfect, and they go above and beyond what is \"expected\" of a wedding venue.

Our plan was always to have a New Year's Eve wedding, and we wanted all of our friends and family to be together for the entire weekend. After looking throughout the Hudson Valley and Connecticut, we found the Interlaken and it was the perfect fit. The Inn had all of the features we wanted; great rooms for our guests, an amazing restaurant, and a beautiful space for our reception. Tiffany worked with us every step of the way, was super responsive when it came to questions and requests, and on the big day she ran the entire event perfectly. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding!

My husband and I really wanted an outdoor wedding with a beautiful relaxed environment and a rustic-chic feeling. The interlaken inn provided that and more. The wedding planning process went pretty much seamlessly. Both Stephanie, the wedding coordinator, and Michelle, the owner of the inn were absolutly fantastic. They accommodated all of our customization to our wedding package and Stephanie was increadibly responsive and helpful with any issue or question I threw at her throughout our 8 months planning period. Once the wedding weekend arrived, Steph was increadibly reassuring, solving any issue that came up during the wedding weekend (weather changes, vendors being late and etc). I could not praise her enough. She is incredible at what she does! The wedding itself was everything my husband and I wanted. Our guests loved the Inn's beautiful rustic surroundings. The food was incredible. People kept telling us that our steak entree was better than most stakes they had in a New York steak house! The interlaken inn and its staff really provided us with the perfect wedding weekend and we highly recommend this venue!

I couldn't be more pleased or grateful to have had my wedding a such a stunning venue. The food, the staff, the scenery, absolutely perfect. My husband and I were married at the Interlaken in October of 2016. We had a FANTASTIC time, and continue hearing about how awesome it was from everyone. But an important detail to note is that we literally went from having a \"small\" event when we first started planning in July, to a full-on 100 person wedding with the works by September (because clearly, we didn't exactly know what we were doing). Every single step of the way, they were friendly and accommodating.We worked exclusively with Tiffany for everything, who was incredible. She was so responsive and calm throughout the entire process, and I really needed that, because we were doing this quickly and somewhat cluelessly. She could not have been a more perfect fit to help us!!! Also a shout out to Terry, who booked our event initially, and who was incredibly understanding, given that we really did not know what we wanted at first! We initially had a lakeside ceremony planned, but it was super rainy, so we needed to move to the atrium area (off of the tent, which I was bummed about at first). Can I just say that when I walked down there for the ceremony, I was FLOORED at how absolutely beautiful the ENTIRE PLACE looked!!! We did not go crazy with decorations at all, and it looked amazing, both the ceremony and reception. People are still telling me how beautiful they thought everything was. Seriously impressive! I look back at our photos and just cannot believe how beautiful they made the place look. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out, regardless of the rain. You are really in good hands with the Interlaken. They have back-up plans, accommodations, flexibility, and staffing that many other places just don't. The food was also incredible, fyi (although I barely ate!), and our after-party with twenty or so friends/family went until two in the bar. We loved that too. Everything was perfect, and this was all executed in three months. We totally recommend and cannot wait to come back and visit for our anniversary!!!!

My husband and I just had our wedding over labor day weekend at Interlaken. When choosing a venue, we spent a weekend touring wedding locations throughout CT, NH and VT. We knew we wanted our ceremony to be on a lake, weather permitting. We knew we wanted a venue that would allow us to hold events throughout the weekend for our guests, as this was a destination wedding for most of our guests. Interlaken won us over with their accommodating and flexible attitude, beautiful ceremony site and full wedding weekend offerings. We chose to do a rehearsal dinner and bonfire on Friday night, wedding Saturday and farewell brunch on Sunday. Our wedding weekend could not have been better! Our guests are still raving about the venue itself, the food, the charming guest rooms, the friendly staff and the overall happy vibe that was felt by all at our wedding at Interlaken. Stephanie, our wedding coordinator, was fabulous! She was responsive throughout the planning process. She was extremely flexible, detail-oriented and helpful. She worked with us on every detail and always figured out a way to make things work. On the day of the wedding, she exceeded our expectations! She went out of her way to ensure that the day was seamless. She even averted a potential \"crisis\" when she realized that our LED candles on our centerpieces did not have batteries with them (our fault!). She went out and purchased the batteries, put them all in and saved the day, without ever alerting us to the issue! You really are in good hands with her. Even my mom and I, who both tend to be type A when it comes to planning, were told to just relax on the day of the wedding and hand everything over to her. We felt so at ease having Stephanie running the show!Overall, I cannot say enough great things about having our wedding at Interlaken. I really have no complaints whatsoever. The staff did their best to accommodate all of the early check in requests on Friday. The food all throughout the weekend was delicious. Our guests loved the bonfire the night before the wedding! It was so nice to say hello to everyone before actual wedding. I also have to rave about the penthouse suite! It is the most amazing suite of all the places we toured! You will be in heaven spending your wedding day getting ready there! We lucked out with the weather. It was beautiful all weekend long! It is a wonderful feeling knowing that my dream wedding actually became reality. Both my husband and I are so thankful for the incredible memories that were made on our wedding weekend at Interlaken. It is a place that will now also be held near and dear to our hearts. We definitely plan to return some day for an anniversary weekend!

The staff did their best to accommodate all of the early check in requests on Friday. The food all throughout the weekend was delicious. Our guests loved the bonfire the night before the wedding! It was so nice to say hello to everyone before actual wedding. I also have to rave about the penthouse suite! It is the most amazing suite of all the places we toured! You will be in heaven spending your wedding day getting ready there! We lucked out with the weather. It was beautiful all weekend long! It is a wonderful feeling knowing that my dream wedding actually became reality. Both my husband and I are so thankful for the incredible memories that were made on our wedding weekend at Interlaken. It is a place that will now also be held near and dear to our hearts. We definitely plan to return some day for an anniversary weekend!

When we were searching for a wedding venue, it was important to us to find a place that could accommodate an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour but if the weather didn’t hold up, had great indoor options available. We were thrilled when we found Interlaken. We were able to have the ceremony lakeside and when it looked like it was going to rain, cocktail hour was moved inside. Working with Stephanie leading up to the wedding and that day of was wonderful. She was extremely responsive and detail oriented, helping us plan the day and weekend so it went seamlessly. We couldn’t be happier with how the weekend went—from the welcome dinner the night before, drinks in the game room, actual wedding, and breakfast the morning after, everything was wonderful. It was great having all the guests in one place and there was no need to arrange transportation. The whole weekend was taken care of perfectly, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. The food was also delicious!

The food was delicious, the set up was perfect, and the service overall was outstanding (even with a larger wedding guest list). The 2-night minimum for rooms at the inn is a little expensive, but worth it. Our guests had a blast all weekend. The honeymoon \"penthouse\" is absolutely amazing- complete with hot tub and private deck area. We could not have been happier with where we chose to have our special day. Our plans for our anniversary celebrations will most definitely include the inn!

Interlaken Inn, is an absolutely perfect place to get married! When my husband and I got engaged one of the goals we had was to try to have a \"Wedding Weekend\" so that we would have ample time to get to see and celebrate with our family and friends all in one place! When we came across Interlaken Inn we knew we hit the nail on the head! The venue has various types of rooms that all of your guests can stay in for the weekend and plenty of activities for your guests to enjoy through out the weekend!\r\rWe were able to have a beautiful welcome dinner onsite so that when the guest arrived on Friday they didn't have to go anywhere else, following the dinner we had a BEAUTIFUL lakeside bonfire which the guests LOVED. On Saturday, everyone was able to enjoy all the amenities of Interlaken, by canoeing, swimming, tennis etc, which everyone really enjoyed! \r\rAs for the wedding itself, it was all perfect! One of the things that is a little scary for a bride and groom who choose to have an outdoor wedding is what if the weather doesn't hold out? Stephanie and the staff at Interlaken have various rain plans which we ended up partially using, however you wouldn't have even known that it was the \"rain plan\" because it went so smoothly! \r\rIt's been two weeks since our wedding and our guests are still emailing and texting that they had such an amazing time all weekend, and that they felt like they were on a mini vacation all weekend - which is EXACTLY what we wanted. \r\rAs for the food at the venue, Brandon and the staff absolutely knocked it out of the park, they did our welcome dinner, lunch on Saturday, Reception, After Party Food and Goodbye Brunch and it was ALL phenomenal. I am still dreaming of our Southern Style Welcome Dinner and multiple people said the filet mignon at the reception was the best they have every had! Additionally, all of the meals are farm to table in a super unpretentious way - which we loved! They source everything locally and it really shines through with the quality of their food. Morgan's Restaurant at Interlaken is absolutely incredible as well so make sure to get lunch or dinner there when you visit the venue! \r\rAs for Stephanie, our wedding coordinator at Interlaken Inn - she was absolute perfection in every way and had everything completely under control. Even if you are a relaxed bride, (which I thought I was going to be) weddings end up being a stressful but fun event and Stephanie put me completely at ease. She has a ton of experience with weddings so listen to her advice she knows what she is talking about! She has excellent recommendations for vendors as well which was very helpful! She was so easy to work with through out the entire process and is a true professional and just a really lovely person in general! \r\rI cannot say enough amazing things about Interlaken Inn, their delicious food, perfect venue, their beautiful grounds, and their amazing staff. What can I say, The Interlaken Inn was probably the best decision that we made while planning our wedding. \r\rTo start, Stephanie, their on site wedding coordinator, puts her heart and soul into every wedding, and she was super helpful from the moment we booked the venue, until the moment we checked out post wedding. She is detail oriented, and always willing to answer one of the 1000 questions that came up during the wedding planning process, and because she does this every weekend, she knows exactly what works, and what doesn't over the course of the wedding weekend. She is a true asset to each couple, and the inn.\r\rIn terms of the venue itself, it was a perfect day. We had our ceremony lakeside, overlooking the water, and it was just lovely. Cocktail hour was on the lawn outside the tented reception space, and the actual reception is held in the permanent tent structure, which is a perfect space for a celebration. The food was amazing, and the waitstaff and bartenders were on point all night. Another awesome feature was the honeymoon sweet, which was gorgeous and complete with patio and hot tub. It was the perfect place to return to after the reception had ended.\r\rIn addition to the wedding day, we had a bonfire with beer/cider and S'mores the night before the wedding. Interlaken offers this lakeside, and it is the perfect way to spend the evening before the wedding, seeing out-of-town guests that may have not been at the rehearsal dinner.\r\rOne thing to keep in mind, and was mildly annoying, is that interlaken will only hold rooms for your wedding until 6 months prior to your wedding date, and they are generally full on weekends during the spring/summer months. It meant that we needed to get our save-the-dates out early, so people could book rooms.\r\rOverall, the entire event was spectacular, and my wife and I now just want to start planning our 25 anniversary party at Interlaken too.

The Interlaken has a RIDICULOUSLY affordable Winter Wedding deal that I would recommend to anyone who is looking to save some money on their wedding. We weren't able to get married down at the lake because there was snow but everything else the spring, summer, fall weddings had we also had for half the cost. The food was delicious the after party in the restaurant was a great way to unwind and the service was wonderful. Anything I asked for they were able to accommodate. The only downfall is the price of the guest rooms if you have people staying over but because we were saving so much money with the wedding we were able to chip in for some of the rooms for people who couldn't afford the full price. I was able to plan and execute my wedding in three months with the help of the staff at the Interlaken as well as the recommended florist they provided for me.

We got married at Interlaken in late July 2014. It was such a memorable weekend that was made possible by the location and friendly, helpful folks at Interlaken. So many of our family and friends told us afterwards that it was the best wedding they had ever attended (no BS!). Why so? Because:\r\rThe location was perfect for our families to spend the weekend together and get to know each other. Once people arrived on site on Friday, they didn't have to get in their cars until Sunday. All the logistics/thought went out the window - everyone could just focus on spending time with each other and having fun.\r\rStephanie (on site planner) was incredibly helpful through the whole process. She's totally calm and knows the drill, yet is still able to adjust to personal touches along the way. \r\rWe did the Friday night rehearsal dinner BBQ followed by bonfire down by the lake. It was perfectly informal while at the same time organized and worry free. Everything at the lake was set up for us (keg, fire, smores, etc), but there wasn't staff buzzing around - it felt like our own personal lake party. We had a port a potty brought down to the lake for Friday/Sat which I would recommend - $300 well spent. We also had a guitarist play music while we all set off chinese lanterns...and maybe a firework or two...everyone had a blast.\r\rGuys golfed on Saturday while girls got ready. The new bridal suite was really terrific - thanks to Stephanie for allowing us to get in there a day early! There's an outdoor deck area where the groomsmen hung out before the ceremony.\r\rThe lakeside ceremony area was beautiful. There was a crew across the lake that was playing loud music during our ceremony, but we barely even noticed. \r\rThe reception was truly special - we were able to decorate the tent/reception area to our liking with no issues from the venue. Food was very good - actually ended up being better than it was at our tasting. We did an afterparty at the bar where everyone hung out into the wee hours. \r\rPlenty to do in the nearby towns during the day for those who don't like the lake, pool, golf, etc. Stephanie recommended a great restaraunt about a mile away where we had Thursday night dinner with the families. \r\rOnly drawbacks to Interlaken would be that it was a little on the expensive side - however so much is included in that price that it probably balances out. You don't need a planner, transportation, and so many other little things that end up adding up. For us it was worth a little more to have everything/everyone on site all weekend. By the end of the weekend so many people had made new friends. Some of the rooms (but not all) are a little outdated as well, but there wasn't much time spent in them. No one complained about that! \r\rAll in all, we would get married again at Interlaken in a second.

We got married at Interlaken in late July 2014. It was such a memorable weekend that was made possible by the location and friendly, helpful folks at Interlaken. So many of our family and friends told us afterwards that it was the best wedding they had ever attended (no BS!). Why so? Because:\r\rThe location was perfect for our families to spend the weekend together and get to know each other. Once people arrived on site on Friday, they didn't have to get in their cars until Sunday. All the logistics/thought went out the window - everyone could just focus on spending time with each other and having fun.\r\rStephanie (on site planner) was incredibly helpful through the whole process. She's totally calm and knows the drill, yet is still able to adjust to personal touches along the way. \r\rWe did the Friday night rehearsal dinner BBQ followed by bonfire down by the lake. It was perfectly informal while at the same time organized and worry free. Everything at the lake was set up for us (keg, fire, smores, etc), but there wasn't staff buzzing around - it felt like our own personal lake party. We had a port a potty brought down to the lake for Friday/Sat which I would recommend - $300 well spent. We also had a guitarist play music while we all set off chinese lanterns...and maybe a firework or two...everyone had a blast.\r\rGuys golfed on Saturday while girls got ready. The new bridal suite was really terrific - thanks to Stephanie for allowing us to get in there a day early! My wife and I had a 3 day wedding weekend at the Interlaken Inn in Sept. 2014. At first we were a little hesitant about the venue but after visiting the Inn several times and meeting with Stephanie and Brandon we trusted them to make our dream wedding come true. \rLet me begin by saying that Stephanie, Brandon, and the entire Interlaken staff exceeded our every expectation from the moment we arrived. They were most accommodating, professional, and helpful in every way possible throughout the entire planning process and straight through check-out. I was so impressed with their attention to detail but more importantly their ability to execute our plan just as we had imagined. \rOn Friday evening our guests began to arrive for our Welcome Barbecue which was from 6-8:30, we had about 100 people attend dinner. Even though it was a cool fall evening, we opted to have picnic tables setup outside in the garden area which worked out perfectly. While the Interlaken has several preset menu options, we were able to tailor the menu to our wishes. Needless to say, the food was amazing!!! The set-up of the tables and service area was also top notch and classy. We also had a local musician sing/ play acoustic guitar during the evening which was great… After dinner we had a lakeside bonfire with music, kegs, wine, and all the fixings for smores and hot chocolate. Even though it was a bit chilly out Friday night, the fire was cranking and everyone was enjoying themselves down by the lake. \rSaturday's ceremony started at 4pm, cocktail from 5-6, reception 6-10, and we had an after party in the hotel bar from 10-until ???. Like the rest of the weekend everything worked out perfectly. Stephanie made sure all of the vendors were coordinated and set up for kick-off… She made the entire afternoon run smoothly. The lakeside ceremony was beautiful and the weather cooperated which made for an amazing outdoor wedding. After the ceremony, the rest of our night was an absolute blur, but I can tell you that my wife and I had the absolute best night of our lives and couldn't be happier with the Interlaken. All of the food/drink for the cocktail hour as well as main course was delicious and our guests were more than pleased. A side about the food prep: It was PRO! The Interlaken takes care and pride in their food and it truly shows. Their food is crafted to perfection and not just massed produced. We had fish, and meat options and both were prepared and cooked wonderfully! \rOur other vendors i.e. DJ, Flower/decoration, Photographer, found it very easy to work with and at the Interlaken which made everyone's night more relaxed. \rOne of the qualities that we were most impressed with was the Interlaken's easy going attitude. Nothing was out of the question, all of our wishes were possible, and they weren't pushy or rude about any of our requests in planning or during the weekend. My wife was in contact with Stephanie everyday in the weeks leading up to our wedding and she really helped in keeping us calm and focused. Steph really is an awesome wedding planner and you will have no problems working with her. She is organized and on her A game throughout the process.\rIf you're looking for an awesome venue for your wedding, something that is a little different and guaranteed to please you and your guests there is no better option the Interlaken Inn. When we decided to have an opulent fall wedding in the Litchfield/Columbia County area we knew there was no better option than Interlaken Inn. The ceremony down by the lake was serene, private and beautiful. The trees were just starting to change color around us and we got a perfect sunny warm autumn day. The inn allows for plenty of guests, which is unusual for the area, so we were able to keep everything (rehearsal dinner, ceremony, wedding party prep, reception etc.) on their property where most guests stayed. The food, prepared by their head chef Brandon and his staff was beyond impressive. He listened to our requests to add cultural themes from each of our backgrounds, worked it into the menu options and executed flawlessly. Our guests raved about the food (and the portions), something many of us have experienced in the past as a letdown at a wedding. The on-site coordinator Stephanie was also incredibly flexible and helpful, and went out of her way to answer our 1 million questions and asks. Her and her staff made sure every detail was perfect even though we skipped a florist and needed her team to do the majority of the cocktail hour and reception set-up. We would also highly recommend the penthouse honeymoon suite. It's huge, brand new, and made our 3 night stay feel like a luxury vacation.

My husband and I recently were married at the Interlaken Inn over Columbus weekend. We had our ceremony and reception there. Words cannot describe the amazing job that everyone did to make our day special! Stephanie is the wedding coordinator for Interlaken. She is amazing!!! From the moment we booked our date with them up until we said our goodbyes and thank you's on Sunday when we left, she was great! I cannot put into words how wonderful she is. She worked with me and made sure everything went just the way my husband and I wanted it to go. The morning of our wedding Stephanie called me and made sure I was doing okay and that we were ready for the ceremony. The receptionists are also very wonderful! The food is also beyond amazing! The head chef Brandon is amazing! Our food was delicious! All of our guests enjoyed the food as did we. The Inn itself is beautiful and the grounds are amazing! My husband and I could not have asked for a more perfect day or a more helpful and lovely staff!! Words cannot describe the amazing job Interlaken Inn did for our wedding. I would highly recommend them to anyone for a wedding or any kind of event!!

We discovered Interlaken in one of the wedding magazines. Our dream has always been to get married on a lake. So when we saw the ad in the magazine showing the most beautiful lake we had to go visit . The drive was beautiful and pulling up to the venue we knew it was the one. Greeted by such lovely people made it even better. We wanted a venue that we could be completely creative and create our dream wedding. This was it. From the beginning they were helpful. We of course asked a million questions. Which I definitely suggest. Allowing us to be creative and plan a wedding weekend for myself and now husband which we both will never forget . We loved the location and how beautiful it all was. A dream. Family and friends stayed the whole weekend . It's a two night min place, but totally worth it !!! There are so many really cute things to do in the area.Everyone has not stopped talking about it. Not to mention the food was AMAZING!! We are so grateful and wouldn't change a thing!! If your looking for a place to create your dream wedding that has a beautiful setting this is it. Thank you Stephanie & Brandon !
