If you are looking for a unique space in Columbus that feels like a destination wedding, this is it. Seriously. We booked our wedding at Retreat 21 last year when all had to look at were prototypes of the venue, cabins, etc. To say that we were absolutely blown away by the final result is a serious understatement. The Retreat 21 team 100% over-delivered on their promises and we had a spectacular wedding weekend that we will never forget. I highly recommend booking this space whether you are hosting a wedding with 300 people or 30 people. Our wedding was intimate (55 guests) and even though the event space is large, the staff at Retreat 21 will customize the entire experience for you regardless of your party size.All our local guests didn't have to worry about booking a hotel because it's so convenient, but it literally feels like you're hundreds of miles away from Columbus when you're on the venue grounds. Our out of town guests had an incredible time in the modern and cozy cabins. We had a wonderful evening on Friday for our rehearsal and our bartender was fantastic as well. The venue allowed us to have a food truck come in on Friday for our rehearsal dinner which was SO much fun and made for simple clean-up.From the moment you arrive on Friday to the moment you leave on Sunday, you will feel stress-free. Having everything under one \"roof\" makes for such a seamless wedding weekend - so many of the details you think about for your wedding are eliminated simply because Retreat 21 already thought of them for you! I can't imagine having done our wedding anywhere else because the entire weekend was magical from start to finish and it was all thanks to the staff at Retreat 21.Liz & Carl - thank you for your creative vision and your hard work in bringing such a lovely and unique wedding venue to the Columbus area. JD - thank you for always being so quick to respond and flexible when it came to our day. You were a pleasure to work with and our day would not have run so smoothly and perfectly had it not been for your eye to detail and ability to understand how we wanted our wedding day to look and feel. Thank you all so much.I could go on and on about this place but just take my word for it and book it yourself!

This venue is incredible! My husband and I grew up in Columbus but currently live in Colorado, and decided to host our wedding back home. We wanted to find a venue that felt like a destination, but was easily accessible to our guests. Retreat 21 could not have been more perfect for this. Our guests had a blast staying in the cabins on-site, and it was incredible not to have to worry about transportation for the weekend. From start to finish, everything was amazing. Everyone on their team is so easy to work with and truly wants to see your day come to life in the most celebratory way. I would recommend this venue to anyone! We can't wait to book one of the cabins for our anniversary! :)

This venue is incredible! My husband and I grew up in Columbus but currently live in Colorado, and decided to host our wedding back home. Our guests had a blast staying in the cabins on-site, and it was incredible not to have to worry about transportation for the weekend. From start to finish, everything was amazing. Our wedding day at Retreat21 was quite literally the 'Best Day Ever'. Maggie assured we were always aligned & that I had all my ducks in a row plenty prior to the event, with great confidence. The entire property is just as beautiful in person as it shows in photos online. Nothing but compliments from our wedding guests, as well as some of our family/friends who were staying in cabins on-site. Our only note to share is that we did have a few issues during the planning stages with a couple 'recommended vendors', however, we did end up LOVING all of our chosen vendors when it came down to it.

Nothing I could write in this review will do justice to the truly remarkable venue that is Retreat 21. My husband and I booked with Retreat 21 in 2021 when all we had to go off of were renderings and Liz's vision. The owner, Liz Seily, is such a genuine, thoughtful and kind person that truly understands the wedding industry and the needs of every couple. She did an incredible job helping us think about what our day could be and allowed us to customize the experience to be exactly what we wanted. We then work with Leah as our venue concierge, and she completely exceeded all our expectations. Her response time is the best of any vendor we worked with, her understanding of our vision was spot on and she made the entire process so simple. Liz + Leah and the entire Retreat21 team are amazing at what they do and they will make your experience PERFECT.Onto the venue itself: if you are looking for a full experience for you and your loved ones you will not find a better venue in Central Ohio. Having our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, pictures, lodging, etc. all on one property minimized stress and allowed us to maximize the time we could actually spend with our people. It has everything you could possible need and then some. The venue itself is BEAUTIFUL in all seasons. We are still hearing from our guests saying this was the most gorgeous wedding venue they've ever been to, and have people considering hosting their wedding here after seeing ours! We were truly blown away by our experience with Retreat 21. It feels like a destination wedding in the middle of Ohio and allows you to fully maximize your weekend. If this is a venue you're considering, I cannot emphasize enough that you have to book here, it'll be the best decision you make in your wedding planning process!!!!!

When we booked our wedding at Retreat 21 over two years ago based on renderings it was very scary but we could not have been more pleased with the way the venue came together and with choosing Retreat 21. The venue staff including Maggie as the coordinator were a joy to work with and everything leading up to and on the day of went so smoothly. We have gotten so many compliments about how wonderful, beautiful and truly unique this venue is. Our photos from the event are absolutely stunning and it is mainly due in fact to the wonderful location Retreat 21 offers. The bridal suite was perfect for my bridal party to get ready in and the guys had a fabulous time swimming the the natural swimming pond and relaxing at the cabin. Staying on site allowed us to have an extremely relaxing wedding day and an intimate evening with close family after the reception. Having the tap house available for the rehearsal was super easy for guests and was an amazing space to host our evening. The tap house staff was great and we had a great kick off to our weekend at Retreat. We cannot recommend this venue enough and it was everything we dreamed of!

Where do I even begin! Retreat 21 is magical! We booked our wedding venue site unseen as they were still in the development phase and I must say Liz and Carl delivered on all of their promises and more. From communication, organization, professionalism and responsiveness the entire Retreat team were exceptional - especially Michaela who is truly an angel and by far one of the most valuable asset's to the team. For example, on Friday, we had three food trucks, axe throwing and a mobile outdoor movie screen vendor as part of our welcome party and Michaela handled/organized each one with grace ensuring a smooth and extremely fun start to our weekend. She ensured all of our guest who stayed within the cabins, geo-domes and farmhouse were greeted with a warm welcome and had everything they needed. The property is beautiful and made for a gorgeous foundation for our wedding. Our guest are still talking about it - they couldn't believe we were just minutes outside of Columbus, Ohio. Deciding to host our wedding at Retreat 21 was one of the easiest decisions we made and I'd recommend this venue to any and everyone without hesitation.

Retreat 21 gave us the perfect wedding weekend!! It was so much fun making our wedding into a wedding weekend with the help of Retreat 21! We were able to stay in the cabins with our immediate family and had the rehearsal dinner at the taphouse. Retreat 21 was so accommodating and was a great partner to all of our other wedding vendors through the planning process. The grounds around the venue are STUNNING and perfect for any photo! What is there even to say...Stunning! We had a bit of a scary weather day and the power went out for a bit during set-up but Michaela and the team were on it immediately! She communicated updates and worked with the vendors to make sure everyone was ready to go if the power didn't come back on (which it did, thank goodness!). We were able to continue setting up and getting ready thanks to the large windows and natural lighting.The venue was absolutely stunning, the cabins were perfect for the bridal party to stay for the weekend. It was so nice to walk around and visit friends during the whole time. Very easy to get to. Wonderful photo opportunities - I cannot say enough good things.Note on the cabins, there is limited cell service and no wifi. It was nice for being in the moment but difficult to communicate between cabins. Not a deal breaker but something to consider.

Retreat 21 was incredible! We booked it before it had even started being built, the only thing we had to go off of were digital renderings. Between the farm house and the cabins, nearly all of our wedding party was ably to stay on the property, which truly gave the weekend a “retreat” feel. We arrived on Thursday and no reason to leave until check out on Sunday. The property is beautiful, and offers a quiet rural setting for your wedding weekend, all while being only 10 minutes from Dublin. All of our family and friends loved the venue, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anybody we know.

We took a chance on a venue that wasn't even constructed and boy are we happy that we did! Retreat 21 is the PERFECT place to get married! We wanted an outdoor feeling out in the woods with an indoor reception. Liz, the owner, was a dream to work with. She accommodated our schedules, kept us up to date on all topics, answered our countless questions and made the entire experience run smoothly. You can tell she really cares about her couples and their families. The tree was where we held our ceremony. I have had over ten people reach out asking where that was or how she found such a perfect location. It was breathtaking. The reception room is wonderful with the clear garage doors, inside and outside spaces and ability to really transform it into whatever your vision is. It is sleek and modern but has a homey feel. Any couple would be lucky to get married here.

You can tell she really cares about her couples and their families. The tree was where we held our ceremony. The reception room is wonderful with the clear garage doors, inside and outside spaces and ability to really transform it into whatever your vision is. It is sleek and modern but has a homey feel. Any couple would be lucky to get married here.

Retreat 21 is the venue of our dreams. It was absolutely perfect. We were able to have our family and bridal party onsite with us in the cabins for the whole weekend. It really gave it a “destination wedding” feel while still being 15 minutes from our home. JD was so easy to work with, promptly responded to our many questions, and did everything to make our weekend absolutely perfect. The venue is absolutely beautiful with breathtaking views, gorgeous finishing touches, and thoughtful accommodations (large main cabin, catering kitchen, bridal getting ready suite, etc.). We are so happy we chose this venue and hope to be back for many years to come when the winery and cidery opens up to the public. We would recommend this venue to everyone!

Retreat 21 is the venue of our dreams. It was absolutely perfect. We were able to have our family and bridal party onsite with us in the cabins for the whole weekend. It really gave it a “destination wedding” feel while still being 15 minutes from our home. JD was so easy to work with, promptly responded to our many questions, and did everything to make our weekend absolutely perfect. The venue is absolutely beautiful with breathtaking views, gorgeous finishing touches, and thoughtful accommodations (large main cabin, catering kitchen, bridal getting ready suite, etc.). We are so happy we chose this venue and hope to be back for many years to come when the winery and cidery opens up to the public. We would recommend this venue to everyone!

Highly highly highly highly recommend this venue. My husband and I booked this venue in September last year just based on 3D models. We enjoyed getting to watch this venue come to life over winter. Liz and JD were so easy to work with and were very responsive to any questions or requests we had during our planning process. The venue is GORGEOUS. From the cabins, to the main event center, to the different ceremony options, and the Tap House every aspect is very well thought out and helped make my wedding weekend the most perfect and best weekend of my life. AMAZING. This venue is everything we wanted when we started our search in August 2021. At that point, we only had renderings but having spoken to the team, we felt confident that we would get our dream wedding. We were right. We planned our wedding from afar (New York) and never even saw the finished space in person until the big weekend but Liz and JD were absolutely amazing every step of the way. JD was our main point of contact in the months leading up to the wedding and he was so helpful in making our requests happen (drinks in the bridal suite, after party, etc.) and was very supportive the day-of as well (truly answered in less than 5 minutes if we needed something). We were in awe when we finally saw the finished venue and property in person. It is absolutely STUNNING. It is beautiful, modern, and private - you get the entire property unlike at a hotel. The bridal suite is in the main structure of the reception hall. It is so convenient and there is gorgeous natural light for hair and makeup. Also, the cabins were such a fun addition. Our bridal party stayed on property and it felt like summer camp! We used the swimming pond, hot tubs, and fire pits. The team here really thought of everything. We had the rest of our guests in hotel room blocks in Bridge Park just 10/15 minutes away. There are also several options for ceremonies (a few outdoor options and a beautiful indoor option as well). We did the tree outside and it was a nice short walk to cocktail hour. The reception hall is gorgeous and we received so many compliments from our guests on the space. It also has a nice outdoor area where we set up games for cocktail hour and s’mores in the evening. We then did an after-party at the Tap House, which was the perfect spot to continue the fun for another hour! My expectations were high and they were still exceeded. Magical is the first word that comes to mind when we reflect back on our Wedding Day! From the day we met Liz in September 2021 and saw the renderings of Retreat 21, we knew we found our Perfect venue. Liz was amazing from day one! Her caring personality and kind attitude were top notch. She was very easy to get in touch with and was always willing to talk to us when we had questions. As we watched Retreat 21 being built, they would send us updated pictures, videos, and welcomed us to stop by whenever we wanted. About 5 months before our wedding, we transitioned to working with JD, their Director of Events. Simply put… JD was amazing! He immediately wanted to meet us; he hosted us at the venue, met us face-to-face, and answered every one of our million questions. If he didn’t know the answer, he said, “I’ll check and get back with you.” And that’s exactly what he did!He was always an email or text away whenever we needed him… even if it was just to give us peace of mind that everything would be ok! The week leading up to the wedding, JD went above and beyond to make sure our wedding weekend was going to be perfect. He let us add a few extra touches to the day and even hung our neon heart sign on the tree for rehearsal to make sure it was perfect! When we arrived on rehearsal day, he met us with a smile and helped direct us to the right place for each of our carloads of decorations, food, etc.He was with us every step of the way during rehearsal and made us feel reassured that everything was going to be great. On Wedding morning we woke up to rain and storms. JD checked in with us several times throughout the day to see how we were doing while reassuring us the rain would stop. To anyone nervous about “indoor or outdoor” – the staff, and the venue itself, are well prepared to help you make that decision even on the day of. We received multiple inches of rain in the 12 hours before our wedding. But, just as JD predicted, the drainage around the outdoor area did its job and we had a beautiful (dry!) outdoor ceremony despite all of the rain prior. Speaking of the staff, we have to give a shout out to the maintenance team. Right after we checked in, there were a couple minor things that we needed. Within 5 minutes of asking JD, Carl was at our doorstep, had them fixed, and even gave us his cell number to call him directly if anything else came up. The cabins were amazing and such a great addition to our wedding weekend to all be able to stay close and spend more time with family and friends. We loved that we were able to have rehearsal dinner at the tap house immediately following rehearsal. The bartenders went above and beyond both at rehearsal dinner and our wedding! We were able to enjoy the natural swimming pool and hot tub after rehearsal dinner. The event center was absolutely perfect and way more than we could have ever imagined. The bridal suite, cocktail hour space, and reception area highly exceeded our expectations. We have received comments from numerous guests about how great Retreat 21 was and that it was the best wedding that they have ever been to. We can’t thank Retreat 21 enough for the most magical day of our lives! We will be back to stay for our anniversaries and to enjoy the tap room when it opens!

We visited several event spaces in Columbus and Retreat 21 is unique in so many ways. The venue has so many incredible aspects - the cabins for family and friends, the natural swimming pool, the beautiful landscape. With all of the amenities - the fire pits, the hot tubs, the hiking trails, there was something fun for everyone! Carl and Liz, we are so grateful for your time, energy, and enthusiasm.
