Ruthe Jackson Center is an elegant wedding venue located in Grand Prairie, TX. Sitting at the heart of the Dallas Fort Worth area, you are invited to celebrate a romantic day here. The grounds feature a koi pond, thoughtful landscaping, and fairy lights to enhance your magical milestone. Ceremonies and receptions can both be held at this event space. The team at Ruthe Jackson Center is passionate about helping people celebrate their love. The inspiration behind this venue, Ruthe Jackson, had a lifelong commitment to her community, a legacy this team tries to continue through the event space. The property is centrally located, with Dallas Fort Worth airport being just minutes away by car. Interstate 20, Interstate 30, and State Highways 360 and 161 are all nearby, adding convenience for out-of-town guests. Ruthe Jackson Center has indoor and outdoor event spaces where you can exchange vows and celebrate your love. The picturesque gazebo in a carefully manicured garden is a charming setting for your ceremony. From here, the newlyweds can lead their guests to the elegant lobby for a cocktail hour. A large water feature provides a tranquil soundtrack for your celebratory toasts. You and your loved ones can then transition seamlessly to a reception in the main ballroom. This space is illuminated by three sparkling chandeliers, with soaring ceilings creating a sense of airiness. There are private get-ready rooms available for the happy couple to use as they prepare for the day. Younger guests, meanwhile, can have fun in the dedicated kids' space. Rental of this venue includes assistance from an event coordinator and full setup and cleanup. Tables, chairs, linens, and display easels are also available.

Rebecca and the entire staff at RJC were so incredible! Not only was the venue stunning, but the food was absolutely amazing, and Rebecca was a joy to work with! On our initial visit, she talked us through all the options and even made several different proposed budgets with different price points and options so that we knew exactly what to expect. Whenever we had questions, she was quick to respond via email or answer over the phone. And on the day of the wedding itself, she catered to our every need, and the rest of the staff made sure our guests were taken care of. We had many guests who expressed to us how much they loved the venue and the food, and it really made our wedding day a day to remember. We highly, highly recommend the Ruthe Jackson Center!!!

RJC was an amazing experience. I used this venue for my wedding on 9/23/22. The accommodation from Rebecca and the staff was top tier. They made sure my guest had everything they needed , especially with the bar! The bartender made sure all my guest left happy as well! I had to Uber a few ppl home, let’s just say the pour was nice. The garden upkeep was amazing , Rebecca even had the yard sprayed for me to make sure my guest would be comfortable during the ceremony. I could go on and on about this venue but hey go check it out for yourself.

We had our wedding here Oct 1st 2022. The wedding planning process with RJC was great, anytime we had questions or adjustments that needed to be made Rebecca did a great job to ensure that what we need was done. The venue is beautiful, we did an outdoor ceremony and then followed up with all the reception activities inside. The food options are abundant (Classic Buffet Meal) for all your guests, we got a lot of positive feedback on the fruit display and passed Hors d'oeuvresduring cocktail hour. The indoor venue is spacious, we had a pianist playing during the cocktail hour and had a photo booth in the lobby as as well while comfortably seating 325+ guests in the reception area.For the ladies, the bridal suite is everything! Lots of mirrors, space, and very modern. For the men, the suite isn't as fancy, but it's still very spacious with space to do a lot hanging out and lounging prior to the festivities. If weather permits, take advantage of the garden to take pictures, your guests will love it too. Overall we highly recommend RJC as the place to host your special day!

Wow, where do I begin?! I was initially referred to a few other venues but after speaking with them, not only were they out of my budget but they did not offer any other services except for renting the building. I found the Ruthe Jackson Center on google. I set an appointment to visit their venue. It was absolutely elegant and classy. Exactly what I wanted. I was assisted by Rebecca. Rebecca was very patient, a great listener and she was able to assist us in making our dream wedding come true. The Ruthe Jackson Center was a one stop shop for me. I refused to be a stressed out bride and they helped me accomplish that. Not only did they offer a beautiful venue, but I was able to get my catering with them (my now husband and I went in for a dinner tasting and it was amazing). We had our guests served by the staff, I am so glad that we chose this option. The venue also has a list of vendors that they work with frequently. This was a life saver! I chose our photographer (Avant Multimedia) and our entertainment (The Leonardo Group) from the list, oh yea and we chose the a bakery from their list to create our wedding and groom cake (CakeAholics). It really only took me about a month to complete all of the details. We also had the venue do our decorations. The ballroom is perfect the way it is and we didn't have to do much to it. Sometimes simple is better. I kept having people ask me if I was excited, well sometimes its hard to get excited when you are still busy getting all of the details together but all of that changed the day of my wedding. I walked into the venue and my mouth literally dropped! To see all of the small details come together and now I am witnessing the big picture, I literally could not contain myself. I was overjoyed! Everyone that we used did an amazing job. Rebecca was so attentive (I also used them as my coordinator) and responsive to our needs. The entire wedding from the day we signed our contract to the moment the reception was over was top notch. Everyone was professional, we could tell that they love what they do, and my guest are still raving about our wedding. What is really is exciting is that my now husband was more excited than I was. He knew some of the details but not all of them, so to see his face light up when he saw the ballroom was priceless. My husband had a great time dancing, laughing and just enjoying the moment. We definitely enjoyed our wedding day and we did not have to break the bank! Thank you Rebecca and Ruthe Jackson Center for making our day memorable.

It is amazing this great venue is tucked away in the middle of an area I would not expect. We are very happy with our choice to getting married at the Ruthe Jackson Center. The staff was incredibly helpful in guiding us in the planning process and helping to manage vendors on the day of. Rebecca in particular was invaluable in ensuring our day was special. The outdoor venue was beautiful while the indoor reception came together much better than I was anticipating after the initial tour. The bridal suite was top notch and the entire bridal party had a great time there during the day. It may have been wedding day blinders, but I am not sure I have ever had a better meal at a wedding. The food was excellent throughout.

WOW!…wow is definitely the fist thing that comes to mind when you visit the Ruth Jackson Center, this hidden gem is tucked away in Grand Prairie. With a large outdoor area for any occasion, it has beautifully landscaped gardens with water features, large pergola and tons of string lights….and this is just outside. Inside you find yourself in an enormous ballroom with tons of chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, absolutely stunning! The ballroom can be made smaller to accommodate any size wedding but why not just enjoy the whole room:) … but I would still have to say the best part of the RJC is the staff, super friendly, helpful and willing to go above and beyond. Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

This woman made the process so simple with ideas, examples, referrals, and clean up! Everything she suggested we did and for that we had the PERFECT DAY! Cheryl and her staff truly put 100% into what they do and if you're nice may throw in some extra! I loved how everything was centralized making it simpler on my guest. RJC allows the option of doing the ceremony outdoors or in and trust either set up is worth it. You can't go wrong with Cheryl or the RJC. If you want a care free day, this is where you need to be!

Luckily my mom found out that the Ruthe Jackson Center was offering their garden for free to couples who’s weddings were postponed/cancelled due to Covid. My ceremony was so beautiful and perfect! I want to first start out by thanking Rebecca and the rest of the staff. Our wedding had to be rescheduled because of the unfortunate circumstances going on. The Ruthe Jackson Center allowed us to have our wedding at their beautiful venue for absolutely FREE. The staff was absolutely amazing and helpful. I would and will recommend this venue to all my friends and family.

I want to first start out by thanking Rebecca and the rest of the staff. Our wedding had to be rescheduled because of the unfortunate circumstances going on. The Ruthe Jackson Center allowed us to have our wedding at their beautiful venue for absolutely FREE. The staff was absolutely amazing and helpful. I would and will recommend this venue to all my friends and family.

Anything that we wanted or needed they met those wants or needs without any questions asked. We followed all rules which led to us receiving our deposit back and had no problem with that either. Only thing that I was displeased with was that the doors that MY BRIDE was suppose to exit out of were not complete prior to our wedding like we were promised it would be but all other upgrades were complete. We had a lot working against us from bad weather to difficulty finding vendors for our Monday wedding, but Cheryl and Karr were there to help. My husband and I had our wedding this past sunday and everything was more beautiful than We could’ve ever imagined. The food was amazing, and the staff were completely on top of it. If I could pick a venue all over again I would choose this venue simply because we got to work with Cheryl Allgood (the venue event coordinator). She was so easy to talk to and made everything so easy for us. She was very flexible, easy to reach, and helped us meet all of our needs/ wants within our budget. She gracefully handled unpleasant situations and fixed every minor inconvenience that arose so I didn’t have to worry about anything. We call her our fairy God mother. She was kind and was looking out for us throughout the whole night making sure we didn’t miss anything on our timeline, even hemmed my dress so I could actually get through our first dance. She also went above and beyond and gave us some extra things to make our wedding even more beautiful than we expected. She gifted us a date day while we were planning our special day, and I was the first bride to use the bridal suite, and let me tell y’all! It was gorgeous! Spacious, great for photos, had a steamer, coffee machine etc. Everything you would need to get ready. I could go on and on but to summarize We recommend the Ruthe Jackson center 100%.

The moment I walked into the RJC [Ruthe Jackson Center], I knew this venue would make our reception magical. Typically wedding receptions are kinda blah and you don't really have places inside to mingle outside of the main ballroom, but the RJC has lots of room to explore and for our guests to have conversations among each other. They also have a gorgeous courtyard that we took some of our wedding photos. Inside the courtyard you can probably have a small ceremony with a nice pavilion back there. Before all that, when you first walk into the RJC right in front of you is a beautiful waterfall display accented by plants and highlighted with some nicely placed lighting. Directly to the left of the entrance is a nice little homey area where we had enough space to set up the photobooth and also some children's entertainment. The ballroom itself is absolutely breathtaking. With ceilings reaching above 20 feet, exquisite chandeliers, recessed ceiling lighting, and tons of space for up to 450 guests it is a wonderful experience when everything gets decorated and set up. The manager of the RJC, Cheryl, was so sweet and helpful with our wedding planning. Cheryl is so easy going and sincere. She accommodated whatever she could to help us achieve our dream wedding. Me and my wife would definitely recommend the RJC for any type of event whether it's for a wedding, a company banquet, or even a family get together!

With ceilings reaching above 20 feet, exquisite chandeliers, recessed ceiling lighting, and tons of space for up to 450 guests it is a wonderful experience when everything gets decorated and set up. The manager of the RJC, Cheryl, was so sweet and helpful with our wedding planning. Cheryl is so easy going and sincere. She accommodated whatever she could to help us achieve our dream wedding. Me and my wife would definitely recommend the RJC for any type of event whether it's for a wedding, a company banquet, or even a family get together!

We are so incredibly happy we chose Ruthe Jackson Center. The garden is filled with Twinkle Lights. The lobby is showcased by a beautiful fountain. She is the epitamy of sweet and helpful, and my wife didn't have to worry about a thing. Her professionalism accompanied with the beauty of the Ruthe Jackson Center made our wedding absolutely perfect. We had our wedding in the beautiful garden that is covered in flowers and a scenic pond. The ballrooms are amazing, and the overall vibe of this venue is nothing short of elegant. I gladly would recommend this venue and Cheryl Allgood to anyone.

From the very beginning of planning Cheryl was extremely knowledgeable, informative, and very patient with us as we asked questions, made decisions, and of course changed our minds a few times. She offered multiple suggestions for vendors which was a huge help. She instilled confidence in our decisions, and gave professional advice when we were in need, even down to the day of the event with weather predictions and timing out the ceremony accordingly. My daughter had her wedding and reception at the Ruthe Jackson Center in June. It was a wonderful, happy, stress free day. The food was delicious. Even though it rained earlier in the day, the staff was outside with towels making sure we could have the wedding in the beautiful area outside. Cheryl Allgood, the wedding planning, is amazing. She is so good at keeping everything organized and moving smoothly behind the scenes. Almost all our vendors were recommended by Cheryl and they were all great.

Oh my goodness, I need pages to write about how much I loved my experience at the Ruthe Jackson Center. Cheryl is the ultimate angel of weddings and she made our experience FLAWLESS. Every opportunity that was available to make something in the planning process easier, she took it and made things easier for us. On the day of the wedding, every moment of the reception was coordinated between all my vendors - I didn't have to think about anything but enjoying the evening with my new husband. Cocktail hour was presented beautifully for the guests, and when they entered the ballroom for dinner everything was set up perfectly. Dinner was served buffet-style by our choice, and guests were able to get through the line efficiently and easily while my husband and I were served dinner at a banquet table with our bridal party. Cheryl ensured that the DJ and photographers were aware of all the \"big moments\" for the remainder of the evening; she helped us share our time with guests while also having ample time for cake cutting, special dances, and all that good stuff. Literally every moment from when we met Cheryl to our grand departure the night of the wedding was perfectly orchestrated, thanks to her. If you're looking for a versatile and unbelievably gorgeous venue with staff that will make your day perfect, the Ruthe Jackson Center is for you.

I am so glad we chose the Ruthe Jackson Center for our wedding! I didn't want myself or my family to have to worry about anything the day of the wedding and Cheryl made sure all we had to do was enjoy the day. Cheryl was professional and responsive. She's been coordinating weddings for years and she had the answer to every question. You can tell she is a real wedding pro. Besides Cheryl, the venue itself was great. The garden was beautiful the day of our wedding in early June. The maintenance team takes such great care of the garden. You don't need any extra decor because the garden is beautiful enough on it's own! All of our guests were so impressed with both the facility and the flow of the evening. The Ruthe Jackson Center is incredible! My wife and I had our wedding there two weeks ago and the experience that day and throughout the planning phases were phenomenal. The Ruthe Jackson Center is a beautiful place with a lovely garden area in the back and a huge reception area inside. The people who work there are also fantastic. I have heard my fair share of wedding planning disasters and stressful events but I honestly feel as if our wedding was one of the easier ones to plan. The Ruthe Jackson center takes care of almost everything; the food, the drinks, the wedding timeline, and more. Cheryl, specifically, was excellent. Throughout the planning stage, she told us what we needed to have and by when. She was practically our coordinator. The only thing my wife and I had to do was find a DJ, a photographer, a florist, a cake, and take care of minor decorations for our guest signing table and things of that nature. During the wedding, Cheryl made sure that our guests were taking care of and that we stayed on top of the wedding timeline to ensure that things went smooth. I would HIGHLY recommend the Ruthe Jackson Center and their team of workers. They truly provided us with an wonderful experience.

I got married here April 2, 2016 and Cheryl Allgood was an awesome & friendly event planner to work with. She is very professional, articulate and always responded to my emails quickly. The venue is beautiful and my husband and I just loved the garden gazebo area. That's what drew us to pick RJC for our wedding as well as the large cocktail and ballroom area. The food is delicious as well which is hard to find with wedding venues. All of our guests were happy with the food, decor, ambiance, friendliness of RJC staff, etc. If you're looking for a venue to host your wedding then definitely book here with RJC.

The Ruthe Jackson Center is where you want to be! This has to be the most beautiful venue for a wedding. For the outdoor ceremony, we only brought in candles for the mantle. Everything else to make it stunning was already there! From the fireplace and the thousands of twinkle lights all throughout the courtyard, what you need to have the most magical event is already there. We went all out in the ballroom for the reception, including the ceiling drape, the uplighting, the gobo, and all the works, this huge ballroom could not have had more of a WOW factor!! I can not hardly wait to see the pictures. The staff at the RJC -- there are not enough positive descriptive words for Cheryl Allgood, Ashley and the entire RJC Staff. They made their work seem seamless and effortless, when I am quite sure that it is anything but! They make sure that everything flows smoothly and take so much pressure off of the bride and groom and most definitely the mother of the bride! Cheryl has got to be the most calm person that I have ever met and yet, she manages to keep everything in total order. Do I recommend this facility for your special day? 100% yes! You will not be disappointed.

The Ruthe Jackson Center was the most amazing place for my October dream wedding to take place! My ceremony took place outside at the lovely garden with an amazingly draped gazebo. I wanted my wedding to look as elegant as possible and the ceremony looked flawless! And the ballroom was exactly what we wanted! The great part about it all is that there is no sharing on your special day. We had the whole venue to ourselves, equipped with a separate bride and groom room with mirrors and steamers. Did I mention they have someone there who sews in an emergency?! Most of all, I have to give thanks to the most important people there, who were the staff. From Cheryl, the wedding coordinator, to the servers, and handy-men who set up tables, drapery, and lighting, you all were so great! I was simply amazed at how helpful and prepared every single staff member was. Everything ran so smoothly at my wedding it couldn't have been any more perfect or beautiful. I could go on and on about Cheryl, her staff, and this amazing venue but I would rather you check it out for yourself and be AMAZED! You will not regret it. Cheryl has a spectacular amount of experience and she can refer you to some of the best vendors to help make your day that much more great and less stressful! I received so may comments about how beautiful my wedding was; a friend of mine is already booking her wedding here for next year! They were so wonderful from beginning to end! Cheryl was very helpful and prompt and almost always available. Unfortunately, she went on vacation the week of my wedding, but her replacement (Ashley Moore) was very up to speed and could not have done a better job. We did have one small issue with the bar-- though we had ordered the premium bar, they didn't realize this and just served beer and wine for the first few hours. They finally brought out the liquor once the father of the groom said something, and then provided liquor for the rest of the night free of charge (so we still only paid for beer and wine). It actually worked out really well. \rOverall the venue was gorgeous (despite it being in the middle of Grand Prairie) and the service was amazing. The food was pretty good. Not the best, but still good, and still worth it.

This is an astonishingly beautiful facility and will be the perfect place to hold your wedding. However, the real secret is Cheryl Allgood. She managed and planned our wedding with such care, humor, and skill that the day was a breeze for us. She has organized hundreds of weddings, yet she still brought a touch of magic and uniqueness to ours. We are grateful to her and the RJC staff for all their hard work and we HIGHLY recommend them to anyone planning a wedding. RJC is a wonderful venue for a wedding and reception. My daughter was married at the RJC in the garden and then we had the dinner reception in the ballroom. It was a magical day for her (and me) and I could not have asked for a better venue! The staff and caterer were the best!!

The staff, especially Cheryl, was great! They were prepared for everything which helped take away the stress when little and major things happened with guests. They helped make everything feel easy by guiding us along the way before and during the wedding. Everyone thought the venue was beautiful and the food was delicious. We can't thank them enough!!

The staff, especially Cheryl, was great! They were prepared for everything which helped take away the stress when little and major things happened with guests. They helped make everything feel easy by guiding us along the way before and during the wedding. Everyone thought the venue was beautiful and the food was delicious. We can't thank them enough!!

I loved having my wedding at the Ruthe Jackson Center! The outdoor garden space is beautiful and our need for outdoor decorations were minimal! In addition to the beautiful space, the staff is phenominal, and I might add, Cheryl is on point! I consider myself to be somewhat laid back, and having her create a time line and keep my wedding organized all the way through the reception was a godsend. We experienced a small amount of rain the day of our wedding, but Cheryl and company were more than accommodating. They prepared an alternate ceremony location indoors, and even though we chose to continue with the ceremony outside, the garden was still lovely! Our guests raved about the food, and I really appreciate that the staff made a conscious effort to make sure that my husband and I got something to eat! I am very satisfied with my wedding at the Ruthe Jackson Center! This is such a wonderful venue that should not be overlooked!

We are a military family and we had to change our date to make sure my husband could at least attend the wedding Cheryl allgood and her staff helped change the date and when I lost my job and could not afford to pay for the whole wedding she worked with me to make it more affordable and within my budget. I'm not even sure where to begin with how unprofessional this place has been thus far. Ladies, if a venue is filled with red flags before you even get a chance to look at a contract, trust your gut and run in the opposite direction. I'm so fed up with the way I've been treated by the Ruthe Jackson Center, you could not pay me to have my wedding here. \r\rI first came across this venue while researching different locations in the DFW area. It seemed pretty enough, and I was interested in pricing, so I emailed Cheryl, the events manager (?). Now, I have a slightly unconventional name, I'll give her that. But it was spelled out clearly both in my email address field, in my email address itself, and in my signature. Somehow she managed to get past all that and completely butchered my name in her response to me. How do you misspell a word that is sitting right in front of your face? It was a small, but telling warning that I should have heeded. I emailed her back thanking her for the response - and gently correcting her spelling of my name. She never responded to acknowledge her mistake. Why would I want to give you thousands of dollars to host an event for me if you can't even bother to spell my name right or apologize when you mess it up?\r\rI initially wanted to write the venue off right then, but again - I thought it was pretty. So when I received an invite to their open house/bridal show that was set to take place this evening, I decided it couldn't hurt to go check it out. My fiance and I drove an hour from Irving to Grand Prairie to attend the open house. We arrived to find an empty parking lot and dark building. Checked the address - we were at the right place. Checked the invite - it was the right date and time. Eventually an employee told us \"he guessed they weren't doing it this year.\" That was the last straw. This venue is disorganized, unprofessional and sloppy. They also apparently like to try to have your reviews pulled from websites when they disagree with you, which is real cute. Steer clear!

The RJC was the only place we even looked at. After meeting with Cheryl, we knew it was the perfect place for us. The outdoor garden is absolutely beautiful and is the more romantic setting for a wedding. Cheryl took care of every detail and made sure we knew all of our options and what would work well together. The ballroom transformed into more than I ever imagined it could be with the draping and up-lighting. Cheryl really knows what she is doing. She kept everything on time and running smoothly. It was the perfect night for us and all of our guests. I am so happy we chose to use the RJC.

My husband and I recently got married in August of this year and our wedding was PERFECT. After I got engaged in 2012, my fiance and I looked at a few places before going to RJC 2013 Open house (Midsummer's night dream). The moment we walked in we were swept away, the outdoor garden was breathe taking and every inch of the ballroom was decorated as if a wedding was about to take place. The food was amazing and the service was excellent, we were able to come in the day before the wedding and drop off decorations, guest book and dresses. Cheryl (the wedding coordinator) was personally talking to everyone at the event and made everyone feel welcome. We came back the following week and booked our wedding date. Cheryl is an amazing coordinator, she is so helpful and loves what she does. I would contact her maybe once a week for advice on a vendor or just questions I would have and she was always willing to help and gave excellent advice. I used everyone she recommended and never had a problem. You can tell that Cheryl loves what she does and she genuinely wants to make your wedding day perfect.

The RJC was only the third wedding venue that we looked at, but I knew the moment I saw the garden outside that I wouldn't want to get married anywhere else. Having Cheryl as the coordinator was just the perfect cherry on top! Cheryl was absolutely incredible to work with. She responded to emails quickly, was always available to answer questions and even recommended ideas that she thought I would like. She made the process of planning the wedding so much easier! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous. The food options are incredible (we chose barbecue and are still getting compliments on how good it was) and there are so many options to make the venue work for every person with every type of budget. I highly recommend the RJC!!!

From the moment I saw the garden at Ruthe Jackson Center, I knew it was exactly right for us and it was where I wanted to say \"I Do\" to my real life Prince Charming. It was only the 3rd venue we had checked out but I knew it was right. Cheryl Allgood was the most helpful and understanding individual I could have asked for as a coordinator. She was always available to meet with me and answer questions. She was prompt with her responses via phone messages or email. \rWith her help, the rehearsal went smooth (as smooth as can be with my crazy family!) and I had zero apprehension when the Big Day came when it involved the staff, vendors, and RJC as a whole. Cheryl even helped me to include a few last minute changes and everything went off without a hitch. She worked closely with the catering vendors and our INCREDIBLE DJ. I really can't say enough good things about our experience. It was truly the perfect place to celebrate our wedding day and our new commitment.
