We had our 60th wedding anniversary party at Steel Magnolia Barn and it was a wonderful experience. The venue is just beautiful and Megan was so kind to work with and made the decor look stunning. It was just like the wedding I dreamed of as a young lady. There are so many thoughtful touches and details throughout the venue, it really is beautiful by itself. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a special place for a wedding or event. Reviewed on 13-07-2023
Cayley Carter(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-04-2023 This venue was beyond stunning! Everything was beautiful from start to finish we could not have asked for a better day! Taking the decor packaged made things easier to clean up at the end of night instead of spending an hour cleaning up! She was very helpful and accommodating with any changes and let us come on multiple occasions to look at things, and get items that were left behind. My only issue was the cleaning crew started cleaning up before 10 which made us feel rushed to get out of there but it was the most perfect wedding and we could not be happier with our choice! The pictures just do not do it justice with how beautiful it is! Reviewed on 19-04-2023
Samantha Coiner(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-10-2022 From our initial meeting to the big day, Megan was flexible, proficient, and personable through the entire process. Being two women getting married- most people don’t want to deal with one bride let alone two! Needless to say we threw Megan and her team some new challenges, but they truly went above and beyond our expectations. Every email, phone call, or in-person meeting exemplified Megan’s precise communication skills and attention to detail. She was great about reviewing details and addressing last minute decisions we may not have thought about. Her expertise turns the already beautiful venue into a remarkably stunning experience to celebrate your big day. She truly alleviates the majority of stress brought on by planning a wedding event. We are so grateful and appreciative for every moment Megan helped us through. This was one of the BEST decisions we made during the entire process of planning our wedding and would recommend Steel Magnolia Barn without ANY reservation! Reviewed on 15-01-2023
Alee Bush(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-09-2022 I used Steel Magnolia Barn as my venue to get married in September of this year. It was the smoothest, nicest, most accommodating experience ever! The venue is beyond gorgeous and the owner is amazing, knowledgeable, and flexible to work with. She helped me a lot with the process with me being a first time bride. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding day. It will be recommended to everyone I know!!!!!!! Reviewed on 29-12-2022
Madison S. Gunn(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-08-2022 We are so glad we got married at Steel Magnolia Barn! The venue is absolutely gorgeous! Lots of natural elements and lots of pretty chandeliers and details. We got married by the water and it was perfect. I did the decor package and Megan and her team were wonderful to work with. When we arrived that morning the reception was completely set up just how I envisioned. The day went so smoothly. The bridal suite is so beautiful and spacious. Definitely recommend this venue. Mic Schuzer(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-12-2022 I am appalled at my experience with this venue. Megan’s communication was horrible, her attentiveness the day of the wedding was unprofessional and her Grooms Cabin was disgusting. The only time she actively communicated with me was the week of the wedding. Everything beforehand included me sending follow up emails because she would not return my messages until MONTHS later. The only times I received a quicker response was when I texted her about not hearing from her from weeks-months at a time. She was also very absent the day of the wedding. I paid extra for her decor package. When it rained on my day, she refused to move the chairs from the ceremony space to the reception space, even though she set up the chairs in the reception space prior to the wedding being held inside. The day of the wedding, my coordinator also needed an extension cord. No one could get ahold of Megan. When I texted her, she explained that she went out to lunch and would be back soon. It took her FOUR HOURS to get this cord and return back to the premises. From 11:00-2:00 she was missing (an hour before ceremony time). When she was around, she decided to spend her time leaf blowing leaves outside (we were having an indoor wedding). When my groom and his groomsmen arrived, there were dirty dishes in the sink and the door was locked. There were also dead wasps on the floor in the bridal suite. Whenever we/someone in my party needed help finding something or asking a question, she made us feel as though we were inconveniencing her. Her venue is beautiful but her lack of professionalism is going to run her out of business. Reviewed on 19-12-2022
Lindsey B.(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-11-2021 To start with, the venue itself is absolutely beautiful! That was one of the main reasons why I decided to go through with booking this venue. Plus included in the price are chairs and tables (round and farmhouse). The owner offers a decor package but we decided to bring in our own decorations. Unfortunately, there were stressful aspects during the planning process with Megan (the owner). She has her cell phone listed as the business point of contact and one of the times I called to discuss information about the venue she answered unprofessionally and came off very rude. I wanted to go over our timeframe at the venue. She gave me the timeframe and said, \"You have from 9-10 and 10-11 to get your stuff and get out.\". I was very put off guard at the tone. Sometimes she would respond to questions via text but there was definitely a lack of response on her end. I wasn't local, so I was able to visit the venue twice before the wedding day. She was having renovations done and once they were done we wanted to come visit the venue and see it finalized. After it took a week to get a response, I was told to just let her know and she would unlock the door. And that is exactly what happened, she didn't even take the time or want to schedule with us to meet with us. So my now husband and I looked around without anyone there to meet. After that, there were only a few conversations. Now the day of the wedding, there was a lot of miscommunication which made it stressful for unnecessary reasons. We had discussed having chairs and tables being in another room. She told us that was something that we had to take care of and set up. I didn't expect to get an attitude and then her husband decided to make rude comments while passing by without being involved in the conversation. I was told that \"I get what I paid for\". Chairs and tables were what was included in my payment. In regards to the tables and chairs they end up making it right but being treated that way especially the day before the wedding was completely unnecessary. Megan did step up and apologize for her husband's remarks but we shouldn't have been put in that position in the first place. I understand people have things going on in their personal life but it's not an excuse to treat people who are paying for your services to be rude. Reviewed on 02-12-2021
Brittney Hill(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-04-2021 Steel Magnolia Barn well exceeded any expectations I had! The venue was beautiful and had so many options for ceremony sites. The bridal suite was amazing and the perfect suite for the bridal party to get ready in. The open vendor policy gives you complete control over the structure of you're day which I really appreciated. Megan is super flexible and was so easy to work with leading up to the big day. Also, definitely book the decor package!! Megan and her team go above and beyond and decorate the place BEAUTIFULLY and even take care of plates, chargers, glasses, etc. We were super grateful for that! Overall, this is an amazing venue in the Nashville area that was the perfect setting for our special day. Reviewed on 07-05-2021
Mary Faulkner(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-09-2020 This place was literally a Godsend! I was in complete devastation when my original venue restricted our guest count to 25 people (and we only had 60), one month before the wedding. I reached out to more venues in a panic trying to salvage our original wedding day. Megan with SMB responded so promptly and answered any and all questions. Not only was the price super affordable, but it also came with the option of renting their china, decor, etc for not much extra. The venue itself was GORGEOUS with brand new amenities and structures. The venue rental also comes with gorgeous wooden farmhouse tables, round tables, and cross back chairs. I saved so much money (even with my last minute venue change) because this place had it all! And all of our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was! Other perks are fully functional kitchen, beautiful and spacious bridal suite, clean and updated men and women’s bathrooms, grooms suite, options for different layouts, and free on site parking. Megan was super chill and easy to work with as well! Very easy to get a hold of which was so appreciated! Reviewed on 21-09-2020
