Behind the wood gates, our enchanting courtyard garden is the ultimate in romance for your ceremony and dinner reception. The historic main house with its cathedral ceilings and brick walls is a truly elegant for cocktail hour and dinner gatherings. Our 1901 room is the perfect spot for guests to dance and enjoy cocktails and cake. All of these distinct spaces are yours on wedding day. Alright, I am going to preface by saying I have champagne taste on a beer budget. Yet somehow Stillwell delivered with my love for champagne and elevated my expectations of a wedding venue. Was Stillwell the cheapest venue option? No. But was it the option that left all of my guests saying, âThat was the best wedding Iâve ever been to and Iâve been to a LOT of weddings!â YES. Read on for all the detz. I was a bride with wide eyes and a list of non-negotiables. Before we secured Stillwell, we toured and received quotes for a variety of Tucson venues including Loewâs Ventana, Ritz Dove Mountain, JW Starpass Marriott, Stardance, Tanque Verde Guest Ranch, Hacienda Del Sol, I could keep going but you catch my drift. No bride rock went unturned in my quest to locate the perfect venue. Then I was discouraged by the proposals provided by these venues on average, $80-100K for four hours, your traditional menu, and a four-drink minimum. My excitement was met with tears due to reality â where are we going to get 100K to host an exceptional wedding? Intro ď Stillwell house. Ambiance: â˘\tThe Stillwell team allows you to create your vision using their unique bones and beautiful courtyard. For example, we prepared for rain on our NYE wedding therefore, organized a clear tent over the courtyard which amplified the magical ambiance. Flowers was top of mind and Bloom Maven elevated their already beautiful green stems with roses and an abundance of baby breath.Staff: â˘\tCandace, Wilma, and all the many faces at Stillwell are your guides â they prevent you from overdoing it but also align with your initiatives and objectives. Always being available to assist with any questions, problems, and hypotheticals we had.â˘\tLeveraged Billi Delgado as our Wedding Planner with ACA Event Studios to help with all the day to day planning, she knows the venue incredibly well having worked there in the past â˘\tWith any outside vendor, Stillwell accommodated their arrival, set up, and made sure they were positioned in the most conducive place for guests and visual appease Food: â˘\tEveryone comes to a wedding knowing they will get a few apps, a cold piece of chicken or steak with a lame side. OKAY, not the case here- Stillwell delivers on the FOOD. I have never had so many texts or comments on food alone! Everyone raved about the bacon wrapped shrimp, the elongated charcuterie board, spicy meatballs, spinach artichoke, and this was just the apps. Incoming- fresh off the grill, split plate, scalloped potatoes, mac and cheese⌠which was all raved about. â˘\tLater we rolled out a late-night nacho bar which again, brought people luring with their mouths watering. At one point, our officiant commented on our cousin who was taking a to-go bag home of mini-chimmiâs in fear he wasnât going to leave enough for others to have seconds, LOL.Overall, you give out of towners the experience of downtown Tucson, you share with them an intimate venue where space doesnât feel limited but conversations feel closer, the backdrop you aspire to obtain as a couple (truly, I could have forgoâd the florals and it would have been just as beautiful) and the confidence the staff and owners are going to give you a remarkable night to remember forever. With 200 guests the only thing I was concerned about was space and never ONCE did I feel like we didnât have enough. The Stillwell team is the real deal, the dream team, and made our nuptials unforgettable.

Stillwell House was the perfect venue for us! Everyone was SO helpful and took care of so much for us the day of- we did not need to stress at all and felt like we were in such good hands. They set everything up BEAUTIFULLY and were just so nice and helped calm any nerves we had. The food was great, the venue is just gorgeous and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and they did so much to help that!

The Stillwell House is gorgeous and the team is the best! They made sure everything was absolutely perfect to the last detail. They were engaged throughout the whole process, were so attentive the day of my wedding and made sure everything ran smoothly! I canât express in enough words how grateful I am to them and how magical the venue is once it was ready for the event! It is the most beautiful space in Tucson! I highly recommend this venue due to their beautiful garden, lovely historic home and traditional cantina! You also get to work with wonderful people to look out for you on your special day. Will all of the uncertainty of moving a 2020 wedding to 2021, the Stillwell House made that experience as stress free as possible. The venue is already perfectly decorated with beautiful flowers, plants, and a romantic atmosphere keeping the additional decorations needed to a minimum. On the day of our wedding, the staff perfectly set up our small amount of personal touches and games with minimal direction creating a stress free and beautiful day of experience. The staff was friendly and attentive not only to us but to our guests as well. Even late in the reception, the venue seemed just as clean and perfect as it did during the ceremony. You wonât regret getting married at the stillwell house!

I'm pretty sure I could never say enough good things about these people. I work in the food and service industry at a country club south of Tucson, so I'm quite familiar about how things should be run. Stillwell House is pure professionals. They have weddings down to a science and their venue is absolutely gorgeous. We booked them last minute with three months before my wedding. When we toured the place, Candace was an absolute go-getter and confidently answered all our questions and gave us plently of advice without feeling like a pushy salesman. I was especially happy with their courtyard area since I wouldn't have to build or rent an arch since they have one built into their courtyard. When I went back for my final appointment, 2 weeks before my big day, Wilma helped me set my timeline and helped make sure I hadn't forgotten any important details like table assignments.My wedding day was the most beautiful day of my life and I didn't have to worry about anything. The wonderful Stillwell staff went the extra mile to make sure everything ran smoothly and worked easily around a few last minute changes. There's a very good chance that most of my younger siblings will get married here! It's worth it!

We had our daughters wedding At Stillwell house. Everything was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and extremely competent. The property was clean and cdc guidelines were followed regarding Covid 19 restrictions. We are hoping our other 2 daughters will want to get married at Stillwell House also!

Our guests complimented the venue all night long--we actually had hummingbirds floating in the flowers over our heads as we got married in the courtyard! I loved having 3 different wedding sites built into one venue. The food was delicious, the ceremony and reception were lovely--it was beyond perfect. Thank you to Kelly, Wilma, Candace, and the entire Stillwell House team for a beautiful ceremony and reception!

We LOVED it here. We searched for while at various places from Phoenix, to Prescott, and Tucson. From the moment that we walked into Stillwell, we knew that was where we wanted to get married. It had the perfect relaxing, succulent garden vibe that we really wanted. The staff was so amazing, helpful, and informative! There were a lot of items that we wanted to DIY for our wedding. Not only were they so accommodating of the crafting and woodworking that we wanted to incorporate; they were also soo helpful in placing everything the way we dreamed of it!They really did make our process of planning and execution of our wedding simple and just the way we wanted!

Wilma was amazing during our planning process, thinking and planning out all of our little details that Sam and I hadn't even thought about. She ran our wedding rehearsal and our wedding day and made sure that everything was perfect and all the details were in place. The food was incredible! We were SO happy with our wedding experience at Stillwell House in 2-24-19. We planned our wedding in Tucson from Minnesota. It is a gorgeous venue and we had a great experience. All of our guests loved the experience as well. The food was delicious. It was seriously the best night of our life and we loved being so close to downtown. For everything included we felt the price was very reasonable. We highly suggest looking into using this venue for your wedding!

All of our guests loved the experience as well. The food was delicious. It was seriously the best night of our life and we loved being so close to downtown. They asked me questions I had not even thought of, which was invaluable. They are extremely responsive, organized, and professional. The waiting staff was especially great the night of. I don't regret a thing.

Choosing the Stillwell House for our wedding was one of the best decisions that we made. It is in the heart of Tucson yet still has a home and garden feeling. The venue itself has three different beautiful environments and we were able to use all three: outside garden area, the cantina/bar/dance floor, and the historic home where we ate the reception meal (this was not our first choice, but it turned out beautiful to eat inside and we are SO glad we did!). One of the biggest things that our guests complimented us on was how good the food was at the Stillwell House. Candace, Wilma and Kelly were all very attentive and helpful. We had a few unexpected external issues that arose and the Stillwell team was very accommodating to navigate these issues ensuring that our day remained special and that everything ran smoothly. We highly recommend the Stillwell house for any wedding.

We had our ceremony and reception at the Stillwell House and it was AMAZING. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the staff was so helpful and wonderful. They took care of literally EVERYTHING. They set up all the decorations we brought in, then carefully packed them all up at the end of the night. They grabbed things that I left laying around, on our table, or elsewhere, and put them back in the bridal suite so I didn't lose anything. There was a server that made sure my husband and I got appetizers and made sure our drinks were refilled the whole evening. We had many guests tell us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and I thank the Stillwell House for that. It was truly a fairytale evening.

I have been to this venue a couple of times and it never ceases to amaze me! Everything looks clean even little details are always so taken care of, and it smells delicious! Everytime I go in to the restroom I want to hang out there forever because its like a small ladies lounge with candles and delicious scents. Staff is always so helpful and both weddings that I have been to have been such a blast! I will definitely be getting married here.

Stillwell House does TONS of weddings. TONS. Which means they know how to put on a beautiful event - how to help you organize your day-of schedule (SO helpful if, like me, you're a clueless bride who hasn't spent her whole life planning her dream wedding), how to guide your guests through each of their three gorgeous spaces so the whole event flows effortlessly, how to style their venue so that the wedding looks much fancier and more expensive than it actually is. They have it DOWN.Plus, their food is delicious, and they're totally willing to go the extra mile to make sure you're happy with your selections (we went through three rounds of tasting with our vegetarian entree). And the food (like everything else!) is very, very reasonably priced.A couple of caveats: If you want to do things different from the way they usually do them, you have to be prepared for some pushback. It's all well-intentioned (they know what works, and they want you to have a great day), but you will have to assure them - and then reassure them - that yes, you're sure you want to do it that way, thanks.Also: They offer a discount on your rehearsal dinner if you do it at one of their partner restaurants and have them set it up (score!), but I'd advise you to be very clear about what kind of rehearsal dinner you're envisioning if you go with that deal. We assumed we'd be in a private room / area with our group of 20 so that folks could give toasts, get up and mingle, etc. What we got was a long table in the middle of the restaurant's patio, surrounded by other large tables - no speechifying or mingling was really possible. To be fair, we should've established what we wanted in advance instead of assuming they'd know. In the end, it was fine, and we weren't upset, but if a certain kind of rehearsal dinner is important to you, make sure they know.We had a beautiful day at a beautiful venue, and we didn't have to stress about any of the nitty-gritty, behind-the-scenes stuff, which is priceless. My husband and I are really happy with our Stillwell House experience, and we'd choose them again in a heartbeat!

My wedding day was even more beautiful than I could have imagined, and most of that is due to the wonderful and attentive staff at the Stillwell House. The morning of my wedding, my brain went through the many details that I was sure I forgot to mention to Kelly and Wilma, but they read my mind and everything was where it needed to be! I even forgot the pens that I picked out especially for my guestbook, but the staff at Stillwell found replacements.I appreciated the staff's ability to problem solve! Everything was perfect (and anything that wasn't was expertly fixed without my knowledge!). The ceremony space was set up beautifully and Wilma did a great job directing everyone and keeping us on track. Guests were so impressed by the delicious meal and (stiff) drinks. We received so many compliments and I'm so glad that we chose the Stillwell House for our wedding. The spaces are all so beautiful and so much of the decor is available without extra cost, so you can go simple with flower arrangements and other decor items - this was a huge plus for us! Additionally, I appreciated that so much was included in the cost, so we didn't have to worry about communicating with a separate bartender or catering company.I know some of the other reviews say that they aren't very flexible... that wasn't my experience at all. Wilma and Kelly are the experts and will absolutely let you know if they think there is an easier or more elegant way to get something done, but also respect whatever decision you make. Most of the time, I took their advice and the day was better for it. A few times, we stuck to our original decision and it worked out too. I am so happy we had our wedding at the Stillwell House. Wilma, Kelly and Candance are AMAZING! The courtyard outside is beautiful and full of flowers and greenery so it wasn't necessary to spend a lot of money on flowers. We used the house for cocktail hour & appetizers. Dinner was outside along with dancing. Towards the end of the night we moved into the cantina for the dance floor, cake cutting etc. This place is beautiful and the cost is very reasonable for everything that is included. I highly recommend the Stillwell House!

Kelly made sure everything went off without a hitch and also changed to dinner inside at last minute. It was super hot! The only issue I had is we had to pay for 50 people and only had 30. They did however throw in a cheese platter bc of the low guest count. Otherwise fantastic place to have your wedding with awesome food!

They were always extremely professional and managed our 150 guest wedding with ease. I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone.

I did not have a wedding planner through the planning process, so I was a little nervous how everything would turn out and I have to say the entire day went so smoothly because of Wilma! Overall, a beautify venue located in the heart of Tucson. The staff are professional and well organized. The food is delicious, and I donât think you will find a better deal for such quality in Tucson. I highly recommend Stillwell House and Garden! Here are some of my experiences:\rWe had two priorities for our reception, good food and a good bar, and Stillwell house delivered on both! We chose the prickly pear BBQ chicken and green chili mashed potatoes and it was a hit. Even the picky eaters in the family loved it. We served two signature cocktails and some varied liquor, wine, and beer. We loved that you provided the alcohol so you are paying for what you want to serve, and not for things your guests wonât drink! The bartender got both our signature drinks perfectly (whiskey sour and cranberry margarita) even though I forgot to give him a recipe. He even through in cute garnishes. We loved that Stillwell house serves all drinks in glassware, no un-classy clear plastic cups here!\rOther bonuses to having your wedding at Stillwell house is that they have a wide variety of tablecloth colors for you to choose from at no extra charge. They also have items for your centerpieces such as vases, containers, picture frames, and mirrors. All you need to do is provide candles, flowers, etc. I forgot to order flowers for the guest book table, and Wilma made sure that the table didnât look empty. Other than a few items for the tables, I loved that the venue needs very little decoration. I had a large wedding of about 140 people. The Stillwell House is family owned and operated and the setting is absolutely beautiful. They have so much available to you at no extra cost. The courtyard is stunning and I hardly had to do anything to decorate. The staff was very friendly and attentive. You get a lot for your money. They don't charge extra for things like cake cutting the way that other places do. And you can take your own alcohol to be served by their bartenders, they provide all the mixings.

Wilma and Candace are the most organized and helpful people I could ask for. They answered all questions quickly and helped keep everything on schedule. The venue is GORGEOUS and my upper class New York relatives were impressed, no need to add any decorations. Very, very, very reasonably priced!!!! So much my Dad offered to pay for it because it was so economical. I highly recommend this venue.....

Though we did not have a large wedding guest list, the location was absolutely perfect for our 60 guests. The staff of the Stillwell House surpassed my expectations and handled every detail with the utmost of care. Their assistance in planning my wedding was also a great help as this was my first and only wedding so there were certain details I had not even considered. During the ceremony and reception, every staff member we came in contact with was ever so polite and courteous. All of our guests could not say enough great things about how beautiful the wedding was and what a great location the Stillwell House was. If it weren't for the wonderful staff at the Stillwell House, I don't believe I would have received my dream wedding.

I originally wanted to get married at a vineyard in California, but that would limit people going to my wedding. The Stillwell House was perfect. It had all aspects of a vineyard. They were very professional and reasonably priced. I thought my wedding was gonna be very simple, but they just made everything look beautiful!What I especially liked is that they had wine service for dinner which I thought was excellent. Everything went smoothly that day. Everyone had nothing but great things to say about the venue.

Unlike the ordinary \"boxed-up\" conference room at various hotels, this space is very historical, comfortable, romantic, and has a very nice flow to it. The space has 3 different places for guests to celebrate- for those who wants a quiet area to talk, the courtyard was perfect and romantic; for those who wants to dance, the cantina offers a very nice dance floor with a bar; and the historic main house offers a very sophisticated space for dinner. One other HUGE advantage of choosing this place is the fact that you can bring your own alcohol! Yes, that's right, you can bring your own alcohol and they'll provide the bartending services. It was amazing.. you can save so much money by bringing your own beer, wine, and maybe margarita! The food was also really good. Everyone at our wedding can't say enough good things about this place. It was just the most perfect place for your wedding reception; Tucson style.

I love Stillwell house. My best friend's sister got married here, and I knew we had to come back for a tour as soon as we got engaged. We loved it and the wedding went perfectly. The price was good. The food was excellent. We did a lot of DIY, but Stillwell was able to work with us on the decorations to make sure everything was set up as it was supposed to. The location is beautiful. And at the end of the night, everything was packed up for us, ready to go by the front door - we didn't have to worry about a thing! Thank you Stillwell!

I loved, loved, loved this location! It was cozy but elegant. We had an afternoon/evening wedding all set on the patio. Everyone that attended had nothing but rave reviews about the location. We received a great package deal as well. The food was great, service was wonderful and it all went off without a hitch. \rThe on-site coordinator could be a little high-strung and make your head spin, but she made sure it all came together seamlessly. Definitely recommend this location if you are on a budget or not.

The staircase in the house was just breathtaking, and if you're having an outdoor wedding, coming in through the gates really makes an impression. In the end I had an awesome wedding, BUT I think my wedding coordinator that day was in a bad mood or something. She was very snobby!!! And, the bartender had the U of A vs Iowa game on the entire time we were in the cantina, so NO ONE wanted to dance or participate in the game. I couldn't believe it. If I had to do it over, I would choose them, but I would have made them remove their tv before the wedding.

I have owned and operated The Stillwell House and Garden along with my family for over 15 years and have wedding planned throughout the country.
