An 1860s Barn With Open-air Stone Cellar and Tent
Sutton Barn is currently booking for 2024 and for 2025! Fully Restored 1860s barn with deck, pond and fountain. Walkways leading down to a beautiful stone lower level. The Stone Cellar lower level is an open-air venue complimented with a brand new wedding tent. This setting is on beautiful Rolling Meadows Golf Course located on the border of Ann Arbor in Whitmore Lake. Sutton Barn overlooks a gorgeous pond with a fountain and custom gazebo. Sutton Barn is heated and air conditioned! This venue is great for any size wedding - small and intimate - or can accommodate up to 200 people. A truly unique setting for an unforgettable wedding! We got married at Sutton Barn 10/7/23 and it was the best day ever! I wanted a venue that was outdoors and didnât feel like you were trapped in a banquet hall. With the unpredictable Michigan weather, this can be challenging, but Sutton Barn has all the bases covered. The tent area has new concrete so you donât have to worry about mud, most of the areas are covered as well in case it rains, and they offer a heating package with tent and patio heaters and propane fireplaces. All of our guests said it was such an awesome and beautiful venue. Susan was so great to work with and made the planning so easy. We had Sam as our coordinator and she was amazing. She kept us on track and we didnât have any hiccups along the way. I highly suggest their dĂ©cor package as it includes use of their dĂ©cor items and also set up/tear down. Sam decorated the venue so beautifully and all the lights made it stunning at night. We had so much fun and our guests raved about our night!

My husband and I just got married at Sutton Barn and we couldnât be happier with how everything turned out! We learned that you canât control everything on your wedding day, including the weather. The forecast called for 80% rain the week leading up to the wedding so it was time to discuss options. Samantha and her team were absolutely amazing when it came time to move the ceremony under the tent instead of at the water site like we originally planned. The ceremony site turned out more beautiful than we couldâve imagined!! Sam did a wonderful job decorating and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the night. We also absolutely adored our photographer Kelly - Keepers By Kelly Photography and Ed the DJ guy was great as well. We would absolutely recommend having your wedding at Sutton Barn!! P.s. the rain ended up stopping so we still were able to get some great pictures at our original ceremony site and on the grounds!

Sutton barn was a 12/10 selection for our wedding! It had everything to offer that we were looking for and then some. First of all, itâs located on a golf course with beautiful views of willow trees and a small pond. There are endless photo opportunities with the rustic/ boho/ barn feel meeting a beautiful outdoor- industrial feel patio! We got married in a rather cold and rainy October day, and not a single guest complained! They actually commended the use of heaters and patio overhang/ patio umbrellas that kept everyone happy and cozy. They do also offer bonfires and sâmores options for fall weddings! I was in love with this venue the moment we walked through in April 2022, we came back and booked as soon as possible for 2023 and were so excited to start planning! I worked with their in house coordinator, Sam, who is outstanding-! She assisted my waffling personality and was able to deliver on my vision! She kept me in the loop & on track with planning, she took care of EVERYTHING the day of and I couldnât thank her enough for this. They are very flexible, open and honest. I can truly say I trusted them like family by time the wedding came. She was able to calm my pre wedding stress nerves and offered to help anywhere she could. Thank you Sutton for a truly beautiful wedding & the best staff I could have asked for. Timely, dependable and relaxed. Just what you want and need for your wedding day!

After realizing how much planning a wedding actually takes and how much stuff you have to acquire I panicked. Thank goodness I picked this venue to get married at because they have EVERYTHING YOU NEED (at a reasonable price). They also have very good connections with vendors. We used a couple and everyone was amazing. They also have a wedding planner you can use through the venue. Let me tell you Sam the wedding planner put together a miracle for me. She literally kept me in line AND DID EVERYTHING + MORE!!! If youâre anything like me where youâre looking to plan the best party ever, then I highly recommend this place. Throughout the whole wedding process I was not stressed out, they communicated well, and I made friends that will last a life time from this place. Lastly, we have a new favorite golf course that we visit very frequently. Things that we added on:(very reasonably priced)-set up/take down of everything -paid to use there decorations (literally so much to choose from and very cute. Worth every penny) -photo wall-cigar bar-corn hole -space heaters -late night pizza Love Jen :)

We had a fantastic wedding at Sutton Barn this past weekend! Highly recommend the venue. Susan and Samantha were fantastic and took care of everything from setup to making sure the couple had everything they wanted, to making sure the vendors knew what they needed to do and they even took control of the cleanup. Our guests had a great time and we had multiple compliments all night long! If youâre planning on using this venue, I highly recommend you take advantage of the vendors they recommend, from the photographer to the DJ to the shuttle company to the charcuterie board vendor. It was a perfect day! If I could give them more stars theyâd have a million plus!!đđ„°

Could not have chosen a better venue and a better day! This venue is absolutely gorgeous! I wanted to get married in a barn and my husband a golf course and this was both! Susan (the owner) was always very responsive whenever I had questions and very accommodating to any ideas I had. We could not have done anything without our coordinator Laura. I wasnât sure a coordinator was necessary, but seeing all the things she did it absolutely is!!! She was the absolute best!! There are not enough good words in the world to say about everything she did for us so that our day ran smoothly! We chose to add on the decor package and Iâm so glad we did! The decor was beautiful and it was so nice not to have to set up or take down a single thing! I cannot say more good things about this venue and the people who help you! We couldnât have asked for a more perfect day!

Just tied the knot in Sutton Barn, Whitmore lake!!! 7.28.23 When I first visit Sutton I must say I didnât get too excited, the barn looks small outside but I wasnât trying to have my wedding indoor so I still went in to check. When I met Susan and gave us a tour, I didnât have a second thought or check another venue anymore. First of all Id like to say Susan, the owner is so nice and very accommodating!! Every time I texted her she was quick to respond. Her bartender staff, they are awesome! They made sure that Im always okay and is constantly asking me If I need anything. Everybody loves the place and keep asking me how did I find it. Its like a hidden gem! We had the best night and did not feel worried at all just like how I wanted our wedding to be. Last but not the least, my coordinator Laura! Oh my gosh.. words are not enough to describe her. You have to meet her!!! She is the best! She also did exactly what I just wanted for the decor and the set up was all perfect for me. We will be forever grateful for her for making our big day extra special! We are now Mr. & Mrs., as of 7.8.2023. Sutton Barn Wedding is and was amazing for our wedding day! From the moment my now husband and I, met Susan the owner and Samantha the wedding coordinator, we both felt so assured we would have a beautiful and stress free wedding . There are so many good things I can say about Sutton Barn. Communication was always open from the very start, the ease of choosing preferred vendors that have worked with them before and being financially reasonable, working with Samantha the wedding coordinator, was awesome! She helped me plan my perfect wedding from the very start. Communication , attention to detail, checking in on me during the planning, quick responses to questions, making sure I was on point with my timeline, using easy wedding software, that she showed me how to use, to plan the perfect wedding. Samantha made my husband and I feel like a king and queen on our wedding day. Samantha brought us water, or a drink from the bar multiple times. She asked us how we were doing throughout the day and night. I can literally go on and on about Sutton Barn. The Venue is absolutely stunning! We are now Mr. & Mrs., as of 7.8.2023. Sutton Barn Wedding is and was amazing for our wedding day! There are so many good things I can say about Sutton Barn. We got married 6.2.23 and it was PERFECT! The second I found Sutton Barn I fell in love with it and they truly made us feel like family. Our wedding coordinator Sam and owner Susan were there every step of the way and helped make our day so special! Sam made every one of my visions come to life and brought ideas to us that I wouldnât have even thought of that really pulled everything together! The day of the wedding Sam was constantly checking in with my husband and I and made sure we had food, water and anything else we needed. We had SO many compliments from our guests about the amazing set up of the venue, and the incredible staff! Many told us it was their favorite wedding they have been to! This was the perfect setup for our big day and and I canât thank our wedding coordination Samantha and owner Susan enough for making our day everything we ever wanted! Sam took my boho/rustic vision and made it a reality for our reception! It was better than I ever could have imagined, sheâs truly amazing and passionate at what she does! As soon as I arrived she made sure me, my husband, and our entire bridal party had everything we needed such as food water drinks etc! Everyone had so much fun with the outdoor setup/ cornhole/ bonfire! We had more than half of our guest count still there when the night ended which is super rare for weddings now of days! We had so many people coming up to us telling us that that was the best wedding they had ever been too. When we became newly engaged I dove right into wedding planning. We knew we wanted the date October 1st, 2022 to be our date so as soon as we found Suttons barn in early 2020 and they had our date available we immediately put a deposit down. I had an envision of what I wanted my wedding day to look like and even created a Pinterest board of hundreds of ideas from aisle decor, pumpkins, table decor to hair and makeup. I decided to hire Samantha mainly to help with the decor set up and tear down as I knew this was already money well spent just in those tasks alone. I had many conversations with Susan and Samantha about my envision, each time hesitant to if it would actually look the same day of as I have pictured in my head. It was very hard for me to give up all control and trust that Samantha would deliver, she reassured me each time that it would be perfect and as she had said many times to me âI gotcha ya girlâ. Cut to the day of the wedding - I stepped off the limo bus at Suttonâs barn and was absolutely blown away and brought to tears at how absolutely beautiful the venue for my wedding was set up! It was PERFECT and EXACTLY how I envisioned it!!!! The details at the ceremony site were perfect with hay bales, mums and pumpkins exactly how I envisioned it, the set up in the tent was beautiful, each table looked beautiful and exactly how I envisioned it, the greenery wall was the perfect backdrop for our photo booth and neon sign, the whiskey barrels were placed perfectly where I wanted them, the gift table, desert table and food set up was PERFECT! Our day was the most perfect day and we were told by so many guest how beautiful this place was and how beautiful the wedding was and I 100000% owe that all to Samantha and Susan for delivering me and my husband the most perfect day! They handled everything and worked so hard to make my day (and many other brides) day absolutely breathtaking! I will forever be grateful to both Susan and Samantha for making our wedding so memorable to not only me but all our family and guest! Thank you ladies from the bottom of our hearts for all the hard work, attention to detail, dedication, passion and most of all the love you put into making our wedding day so special and beautiful! I also choose to purchase Samanthaâs decor package as it greatly helped take any pressure off from me to buy all the extra decorations when Sam had everything you could ever want for decor. Her wide variety of decorations to choose from weâre amazing and honestly was so worth purchasing the package. We had our ceremony and reception at Sutton Barn and literally everything went off without any problems. Samantha is the coordinator and she's worth every penny and then some. Getting the decor package was totally worth it just for the set up and breakdown alone, not to mention all the beautiful stuff she has available. Susan was always readily available if necessary and the whole experience was easy with them. The built in decor with the landscape is beautiful. They have back up plans for the weather and backup generators if necessary. 20/10 experience!

We just had our wedding here and had a great experience! We had about 100 people and the venue was a great size for that. Susan and her family who run the venue work really well together, especially if you use their recommended vendors (Prim Ovations for catering and Pat as the DJ) and the bartenders were a lot of fun. That being said, Sam was the glue who held everything together for all of the small details of the wedding. She was always responsive and willing to answer our questions, which was great, but was nothing compared to all of the tiny things she did on the day of to make our day beautiful and worry-free. We gave her a very loose idea of what to do with the decor and she put tons of little extra touches on it that tied everything together so well. She was around the whole night to keep things on schedule, answer guests' questions, bustle my dress, make sure we had drinks/food, and any other little detail you could think of. Most of all, we didn't have to convince our friends and family to come early or stay late to help decorate which they really appreciated. We had our wedding during a very rainy October, but the venue is set up to have the ceremony and reception no matter what the weather is, which was a huge relief during the planning process. (I will say that the ceremony aisle and the surrounding outdoor area was soaked which made taking our wedding party photos pretty interesting!) The major downsides for us were the limited flexibility on the alcohol packages and the fact that we couldn't get ready on site, but we knew both of those things in advance, before we ever booked the venue. We did BBQ for dinner, Grand Traverse Pies for dessert, late night pizza and s'mores/bonfires pits and it was really fun to be able to customize all those things to make our day perfect. Thanks to everyone at Sutton Barn - we would highly recommend them to anyone.

Sutton Barn is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL venue. We were so glad we found them. As soon as I saw it in person I knew I had to book it. It's such a unique venue - it's not a traditional \"barn\" and we loved that. The owner Susan is very friendly and accommodating and makes it feel like you are working with family. We hired Samantha (Sutton's Venue Coordinator) and she truly did a wonderful job. They are a newer venue and were very open to feedback and did everything they could to make our day special and go off without a hitch. We planned the wedding from out of state and that presented some challenges, as did our style (we are not very traditional) but they rose to the occasion and executed a perfect day for us. Our day turned out absolutely perfect and we wouldn't have changed a thing! A couple of things to note: This venue is family-owned and operated! We got a lot more personalization and personal touches than we would have from a more traditional venue. Seeing the venue in person is breathtaking and Susan and Samantha continue to add or make improvements all the time but this place has serious charm. The stone cellar and pond overlook are breathtaking! If it's not already, it will be a premiere rustic Michigan wedding venue and a hot commodity very shortly. There is not a private pre-event space that is locked away - it's a lofted space inside so you and your bridal party will not be able to spend the day getting ready there before (limited power, no door) so plan for that - they are very straightforward in letting you know that, too! There is limited power for anything over a 3piece band - we had a 5 piece band ( + sound, MC) - we were able to make it work (no lights, etc.) but it's something to keep in mind - you'll need a small band or DJ! You should 100% hire Samantha - it will save you time, energy, and money in the long run. She was excellent and knows what she is doing - she worked very hard and made everything perfect for us. They have a great decor package - if you're interested see what they have to offer in person and pick things out! We did and loved it - this also required minimal additional decor purchases on our end aside from florals! 10000/10 venue!

Sutton Barn is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL venue. We were so glad we found them. As soon as I saw it in person I knew I had to book it. Sutton Barn at Rolling Meadows Golf Course goes above and beyond for their couples. My husband and I stumbled upon this golf course when we relocated to Ann Arbor, MI 2 years ago. It quickly became our absolute favorite course on this side of the state. The staff were always friendly and accommodating, the location was gorgeous, and the natural beauty stood out. When we found out this was a venue for a wedding we quickly booked it. Susan Ianni (owner) and our wedding coordinator Samantha Zeisler exceeded any expectations or visions we had for our wedding. The first time I met them they had a glass of wine for me waiting and an active plan in place to make this the best and least stressful experience. I knew we were in the best hands. My husband and I are both extremely busy nurses and as you can imagine working during COVID at U of M creates a very demanding and exhausting work environment so trying to plan a wedding needed to be enjoyable! Both Susan and Sam are so personable they became much more than our vendors, they became family and friends. They are easily accessible (gave their personable cell phones) and made sure we stuck to our timeline leading up to the wedding and the day of. Sam kept us in line making sure we had everything planned and ready to go down to the very last details. She met with us by zoom and then in person multiple times to ensure that our vision was coming to life. She was able to hook us up with vendors that they knew and trusted while respecting our budget and finances. These two worked tirelessly with us to make sure we would have the best day ever. We opted for the decor package which I would 100000% recommend. This means you can use any and all decor that their is available at Sutton Barn- let me tell you that no matter your theme/ vision they have it ALL! Sam also coordinated with all of our other vendors (catering, photography, videography, DJ, floral, etc) and kept everyone in the loop in a streamline of communication so my husband and I wouldn't have to worry about closing the loop with multiple vendors. The week before the wedding I realized I wanted a few more florals than I had anticipated and because of our work schedules I wouldn't be able to have them delivered to our house to care for them. Sam had me send them directly to her personal address and cared for the florals the week of the wedding!!! This is the kind of coordinator and human she is- she has the very best heart! The week of the wedding, rehearsal day and wedding day she made sure everyone knew their part and organized everyone and everything with ease. I was in happy tears when I arrived and saw how gorgeously she and her team had decorated the venue. Our vision didn't just come to life, it was better than anything we could ever have imagined! Our wedding day was the absolute best day of our lives from the decor, the ceremony, the reception, the wait and bar staff, the flow of the day, their ability to be flexible and anticipate the needs of their couples and their guests is immaculate. Susan was the nicest and easiest person to get along with. She explained everything in detail and showed us around the venue. The first time we stepped foot onto the Sutton Barn at Rolling Meadows Golf Course property, we were quite impressed with the rustic charm and beautiful scenery. Susan helped us select a date then wrote up the contract and she did not miss a beat going over every fine detail. She explained how a coordinator was a \"must have\" for her venue. And I wondered, Why? I thought; why certainly I could handle all these little details myself. I now know there is absolutely no way I could've done all that on the wedding day with all the other small details I had to do the day the wedding. Susan said we could hire our own coordinator but highly recommended Samantha the wedding coordinator that works with her. So we went on board with Samantha and let me tell you that she is WORTH HER WEIGHT IN GOLD!!! All her hard work planning this event was remarkable! Every single detail was thought out thoroughly by Samantha including keeping in contact with all the vendors and most importantly, Samantha and her crew set up the entire venue that morning and afternoon and stayed until the very end making sure everything was perfect. It is because they know the venue so well, that no one else could have done the job as well as she did. It is the absolute best money I've ever spent and the wedding would've collapsed had I tried to do it myself or had a friend/relative try to do it without the vast knowledge and experience of Samantha! Thank you Susan for highly recommending her! Susan also recommended Pat the D.J. OMG!!! Pat was phenomenal! He kept everyone entertained and made the reception upbeat and was friendly and knew every song we wanted played and he did it with a contagious smile. From the sound at the ceremony site, to announcing the bridal party and all into the night, Pat was a hit! Susan also recommended PrimeOvations Catering. Just WOW! We went with PrimeOvations Pit Boss BBQ with 3 meats, and all the sides. We got so many compliments on the delicious food! Everyone loved it! A special shout out to Sam Klos Wedding Films, photographer/videographer in Allen Park, MI (Sam is the absolute best in the business!) And Tom from Flowers on the Avenue in Allen Park who delivered the most beautiful bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres and table centerpieces. And to the Officiant, Charles Holt of Taylor, MI for making sure the ceremony was perfect. Also to Happy Snap Photo Booth who set up an awesome Vintage Shasta Trailer Photo Booth that was such a hit! Never have I received so many compliments than with this Venue and these vendors. Together they all worked and each did their part to make the day so successful. It's days later and people are still calling me and telling it was the best wedding they had ever attended! From the beautiful scenery at Sutton Barn at Rolling Meadows Golf Course, the ceremony was so beautiful, the reception was fun, laidback and a good time was had by all! Everyone said it was a \"breath of fresh air\" to go to a wedding at this venue rather than the same old predictable weddings that we have all become bored with. So glad we chose this Venue! Oh! and the icing on the cake was that this Venue is also very competitively priced, You will not find a better Venue in this price range. So if you're on the fence about any of it, please consider my highest recommendation. I promise, you won't be disappointed!

Planning a wedding during COVID was really stressful not knowing what would happen, what guidelines would be in place, and not feeling confident our day was going to happen. Sutton Barn worked side by side with me when I was having issues with my first venue, but honestly, if I would have known about Susan and Sutton Barn previously, it would have always been my first choice. I was originally going to have an indoor venue, but due to COVID and the run around with my original vendor, my mom and I started doing some research. My family had golfed at Rolling Meadows golf club since we were young and last year my mom had been golfing on a night they had a wedding. I reached out to Susan about our date and she reached out almost immediately. She allowed us to tour the venue during snowy January and sent me tons of information, preferred vendors, and assured me that no matter what we would figure out how to have our special day happen and she would work with us. Susan was a breath of fresh air to work with, flexible, hard-working and helpful. In addition to the service from the owner, I loved the venue's indoor, outdoor feel with lots of separate spaces to eat, drink, dance, play and be with loved ones or watch from a little distance.  The venue is gorgeous and felt very much like Andrew and I, more on the casual side but cleans up nicely! In addition, Samantha, the onsite coordinator was on top of all the details and she even has items you can rent from Sutton Barn for decor like dessert stands, table numbers, rustic tree slices, you name it- she has it! That helped me feel so much relief as I was planning my wedding especially last minute. It was always supposed to happen that we were supposed to have our day at Sutton Barn! I can't sing the praises enough about Susan, Samantha, and the Sutton Barn crew. As a bride, all I wanted was the peace of mind that we could have our day and not worry about COVID and they made this dream a reality. Thank you so much!

Planning a wedding during COVID was really stressful not knowing what would happen, what guidelines would be in place, and not feeling confident our day was going to happen. Sutton Barn worked side by side with me when I was having issues with my first venue, but honestly, if I would have known about Susan and Sutton Barn previously, it would have always been my first choice. I was originally going to have an indoor venue, but due to COVID and the run around with my original vendor, my mom and I started doing some research. I was an anxious bride throughout 2020 and each time I had a concern, Susan and Samantha came through with solutions and positivity. Our wedding day had a large drop in temperature suddenly that was unexpected, Susan and Samantha made sure there was a heater for the tent, heaters around the bar and dance floor and it worked out perfectly. Samantha made sure everything ran smoothly the day of and kept us on track as we moved through pictures, ceremony, dinner, dancing, etc. In addition to my personal experience, the venue itself is just gorgeous, it has a welcoming feeling and happiness to it that makes everyone have a blast. They were always kind, knowledgable, organized, and highly professional. My guests LOVED this venue, as well as my other vendors. My husband and I would like to sincerely thank Susan and the Sutton Barn Staff! Due to COVID, we had to change venues, and we booked Sutton Barn about 3 months before our wedding! Susan went above and beyond to make sure not only would our day be beautiful and special, but it would be safe! The tent and barn were beautiful and very well maintained! Around the landscape, there is a pond, gazebo, wooden arch, barn wall and willow trees that provide multiple stunning photo backdrops! Sutton Barn was the perfect venue for the kind of feeling we wanted our wedding to have. We totally fell in love with the setting of the beautiful grounds, the stone cellar and amazing tent. They were able to offer us so much flexibility to really have each part of the reception be what we wanted, from bringing in whatever caterer, to layout of the tent and having an ample bar for a great price. Susan's supply of tables and chairs and other reception necessities made a lot of the planning easy and took away stress that comes with having to rent everything. That flexibility continued when the pandemic hit. We never felt pressured to make decisions quickly or afraid that they would cancel on us and leave us hanging. They did quite the opposite, as Susan would check in with us regularly to touch base and worked with us to pick a back up date, and helped us to figure out solutions to COVID regulations. We ended up using that back up date to have a smaller reception, and we are so glad we did because we got to enjoy the amazing venue with our friends and family.

Susan and her staff made so many moments unforgettable, and you can tell they truly LOVE what they do. Working with Samantha as a wedding coordinator is a dream! Samantha is invaluable for your event, she thought of tiny details that never crossed our minds. The venue itself boasts breathtaking panoramic views which are complimented by the gorgeous stone cellar and historic barn; our guests are still talking about the beautiful venue and how much they absolutely enjoyed the seemingly limitless outdoor space. We were a little concerned ( initially) about some of our older guests navigating their way down to the ceremony and receptions areas, however that concern was short lived. The staff will make sure your guests (even your Sassy Grandma in Blue) are assisted from the moment they park until the time they depart the venue.We chose to have our ceremony on-site and it couldn't have been any more beautiful. We had several choices of ceremony locations, and certainly no shortage of photo opportunities. Our guests enjoyed playing corn-hole and exploring the beautiful grounds throughout the entire event. We finished the night snuggling on the benches around the fire pits and making s'mores, the perfect end to a perfect day. Susan also has a all-star list of preferred vendors that are sure to make your event unforgettable. We highly recommend DJ Pat Moore to keep the dance floor full and the music flowing!!We are eternally grateful to Susan, Samantha, Tony, and the rest of the Sutton Barn Family for their hard work on our big day!

Having to replan everything in 2 months was unimaginable, but with her help, it was truly the best day of my life. We had our ceremony at the gazebo and it was so picturesque with the fountain in the background. The tent where we had our reception was gorgeous and quite large. The cellar part was perfect for our catering and DJ - everyone had a wonderful time. It was truly a perfect wedding because of them.

I wish there were more stars to give Susan and Tony and their wedding venue, the Sutton Barn!!! They made us feel like family! Susan worked tirelessly to make sure everything was perfect! The setting was gorgeous! Our guests were blown away by the beautiful scenery! The barn was cool and comfortable, the tent was set under big, beautiful, shady maple trees...perfect for an outdoor wedding! There was plenty of space for social distancing! We are Seventh-day Adventists, and had a dry wedding without dancing, and I was worried our guests would get bored...not so! Our guests had so much fun playing frisbee and corn hole, meandering around the grounds, and enjoying conversation in the barn, at a pick nick table, the romantic gazebo, or just at the dinner table under the main tent! Susan was there for me, the mother of the bride, at every moment! She was one (or ten) steps ahead of me the entire day...making sure every T was crossed and I was dotted! Our guests can't stop raving about how beautiful and fun our Sutton Barn wedding was! Thank you Susan and Tony! Also, do yourselves another favor and hire the Barn's preferred photographer, Kelly Cieslak!!!! Her and her assistant Anna took the most beautiful photos! She knows all the good spots to take gorgeous pictures! Plus, she is so genuine, sweet, professional, organized, hard working and, well, a brilliant photographer. The wedding party loved her!!!! You will love her too! The staff was also excellent! Thank you Shawn for your bright, enthusiastic demeanor, and being there to help us with anything we needed. My husband and I give the Sutton Barn and staff 10 stars!

Our daughter had her wedding reception at the Sutton Barn. It was an ABSOLUTELY amazing experience! The venue is BEAUTIFUL. The rustic barn cellar is where you will find the bar, food service and the best spot for the DJ and dancing. The tent is large and able to hold lots of people. In this \"Covid Era\" Susan and her team has placed picnic tables and benches all around the venue to properly space people out, but additionally to allow folks to break off and have other conversations. Corn-hole, ladder-ball and fire pits were strategically placed to make the event not just pleasing to the eye, but also fun! Every detail is given attention and Susan cares not just for her interest but more importantly for interests of the hosts and the guests. The bar staff also were friendly, personable and awesome! When my daughter and her fiancĂ© found Sutton Barn for their wedding, they knew it was perfect from the moment they saw this beautiful property. I was thrilled for them when I saw it too! Then, when I realized that Susan Ianni was the owner, I knew we were in great hands. Susan already has a fabulous reputation in the service industry, and her team is amazing. As we approached the wedding date, we werenât sure what would be possible coming through the pandemic, but Susan and her assistant, Samantha, were incredible to work with through all the important safety protocols and set up details! What an amazing day of answered prayers. All of the preferred vendors that were referred by Susan were wonderful. This was so helpful to work with people who are familiar with this venue. How beautiful it was to celebrate the wedding ceremony out by the pond, enjoy dinner under the tent, and dancing in the barn area. Our guests enjoyed playing yard games and roasting sâmores over the bonfires too. Even when a big storm rolled in after dark, the staff was monitoring the weather, and we had a blast. You know all is well when the bride and groom stepped out from under the cover of the barn to dance in the rain. What an incredible day. I didnât want to leave! Thank you to Sutton Barn and your fabulous team for such a memorable wedding day for our daughter and her husband.

We could not have dreamed of a better venue! Susan and her team were so accommodating and helped us create the wedding we dreamed of even despite the pandemic. We worked off of her preferred vendor list and couldn't be happier! The space is very free flowing which allows for your guests to create a party of their own within your event. Our guests loved the options they had to gather within the space. It ended up thunder-storming near the end of the reception but despite the rain, our wedding didn't skip a beat or miss any fun. We continued to dance and gather under the tent, the cellar, the porch, and even inside the upper barn. Susan's wedding coordinator that she works with, Sam, was incredibly helpful in organizing our day and taking away a lot of the stress. Our DJ, Pat Moore, kept the party alive to the very end, and even joined in on the fun for some karaoke. He was very good!\\Our caterer, Thomas's Catering, was very accommodating to my husbands severe allergies and made it possible for him to enjoy our wedding food without stressing. We received many compliments about the food provided and the precautions they took to keep guests safe. Lastly, our photographer Kelly worked some magic with her camera and somehow managed to not only capture moments, but to capture the experience and feeling of our wedding. If we could give this venue and team more than 5 stars we would! We couldn't be happier with our experience :)

Susan did the best job ever with my wedding reception--I was so nervous and overwhelmed with planning a wedding in under 6 months, and everything was handled beautifully in her care. So many of our wedding guests (especially my parents' friends, who have been to their fair share of weddings) said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. The bar upstairs is SO beautiful, and even has an adorable little corner to keep kids busy with games. The lawn games available for guests were a huge plus. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous and scenic, like a movie backdrop. This place had the rustic barn/scenic views and incredible staff we were looking for without the insane prices you'd normally find. Susan was willing to work with our budget, make special touches, and go above and beyond for my wedding day, and I wouldn't have changed a thing.

Truly loved this venue from the first time we saw it. Susan had a vision and really went above and beyond our expectations! We received many compliments about the ceremony and the reception venue. Working with Susan and her team was easy and she always reassured us that she would do anything to make our day perfect. On 9/21/19, she did just that. With the severe storm that rolled in just a few hours prior to our ceremony start time, she and her team hustled to get the tent and stone cellar dry. Right before our ceremony Susan ran home to change and was back ready to greet guests and guide our wedding party down the aisle. The sun came out just in time for our quick and beautiful ceremony at the gazebo. Shortly after that it was raining again. All my guests commented on how wonderful and comfortable both the tent and the stone cellar were even though it was rainy and muggy. I did not anticipate so much rain so my dress was muddy; Susan even offered to help bustle my dress. My favorite part about the venue is the ample room all my guest had. If it was too hot, they could go upstairs to the air conditioned bar, if they wanted to play corn hole with the kids they could, or if any of our guests wanted to smoke, they could utilize the upstairs balcony. We weren't stuck in a square room all looking at each other and it made our day so enjoyable. The upstairs loft is really cute and was perfect for me to put my dress on and have quiet moment before the ceremony. Sean and Jaime did an amazing job at the bar all night and our guests loved them as well! The live band \"Pure Grain of Detroit\" came highly recommended from Susan and they did not disappoint! Our guests were dancing to jam music all night long and we received so many compliments. We also used Susan's preferred caterer, PrimOvations. My husband and I are vegetarians so Pat made the most delicious BBQ polenta,even the meat eaters were loving it! We received stellar reviews from our guests for the chicken and pulled pork as well. Pat and Shelly were very nice and easy to work with. Shelly even made my bridal party bouquets and boutonnieres which were absolutely breathtaking. If you are looking for a venue that is rustic, quiet, has an amazing view and a great team, look no further. I will recommend Susan and her team time and time again.

I can not express how amazing this venue is!! My daughter just had her wedding here and I wouldnât change a thing. Susan and the crew were very involved in our wedding. That impressed me that she was so hands on and willing to help out wherever was needed. It was exceptional and very personable working with the team. I would definitely recommend having your wedding at this venue. Not only is it beautiful, but the staff is great and they will make this venue feel like home!! I couldnât ask for a better experience. Sutton Barn was the PERFECT place to have my wedding. I knew the moment i stepped foot in it and saw the possibilities that i wanted my wedding here. Susan was beyond amazing and so helpful! I never felt pushed to do anything or felt like she didnt have my best interest at heart. Both her and her team really went above and beyond to make my night special. Warm cozy lighting, a beautiful gazebo to tie the knot under, surprisingly cool tent to eat under, even in the middle of summer we never felt muggy! We got so many compliments on the venue! I really hope to use them again!

When our family purchased this property with the 1860 barn I had a vision of a truly unique wedding venue.
