The Barn at Schwinn Produce Farm is a rustic wedding venue in Leavenworth, KS. With beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces to choose from, this traditional country barn looks incredible in every season. Here, you can host your celebration of love surrounded by the rolling hills and shady trees of Salt Creek Valley. With a capacity of 250 guests, the Barn at Schwinn Produce Farm can set the stage for an unforgettable celebration. This rectangular space spans 4,500 square feet and is divided by tall wooden beams. During the summer, the south-facing doors slide open to bring fresh air and natural light inside. In colder months, these doors can be sealed to keep guests warm and protected from the elements. Indoor and outdoor ceremony sites are available, allowing you to say "I do" whatever the weather. The wedding lawn is a lovely space to exchange your vows and is linked to the barn by a winding path. You and your wedding party can prepare for the day in a private get-ready room fitted with air conditioning and heating for your comfort. The Barn at Schwinn Produce Farm offers a variety of services to make your wedding day run smoothly. Tables and chairs are included in your booking, and ample parking spaces are available. The barn features a large catering kitchen complete with a commercial refrigerator, gas oven, prep table, and a large sink. Absolutely loved this place! We had our wedding on October 9th and it was such a beautiful day! Joe was there to help with all the questions we had and he made the barn look stunning for our day! Will definitely be looking into using the barn for any future special occasions!

Joe Schwinn and his family are the absolute best! Our daughter's wedding was 1 year ago today in the middle of Covid madness and we had to cancel the reception a week before the wedding. Joe worked with us to book another date 7 months later. They treated us like family and all the guests loved the barn and all the property around it! So many places for beautiful pictures! It was absolutely perfect and so much fun! Thank you, Schwinn Family!

Joe Schwinn and his family are the absolute best! Our daughter's wedding was 1 year ago today in the middle of Covid madness and we had to cancel the reception a week before the wedding. I could not have asked for a more picture perfect barn venue! From everything to the Edison lights in the barn, to the pumpkins and mums outside, to the wooden bridge to the meadow. I still continue to get compliments about how pretty our wedding was. Schwinn had a separate set of chairs that are used in both the barn and the meadow (outdoor ceremony area) which really helped smooth our timeline along not needing to accommodate for a chair swap. The staff was great - Joe met me there first thing the morning of the wedding and asked if there was anything additional I needed before I hid away getting ready in the beautiful bridal cottage on site. If you have the option to go on the tractor ride - DO IT! It's such a fun time to enjoy a special moment with your wedding party/best friends right after the ceremony. We purchased the open bar package and after the wedding I had actually heard that Mic Ultra ran out at some point, but Schwinn went to go get more to keep the night going (even though there were plenty of other options). As the bride, I had no idea that even happened the night of. Outstanding! The only thing I would say was that I wish there was a bit more option for the rehearsal time. We were willing to pay the additional $500.00 to have the barn Friday evening but another wedding was booked that night. It ended up being completely fine on Saturday setting up everything as planned. We went without a rehearsal. Between Joe and Sarah's communication - 5 Stars! I never felt like I was out of the loop and I had a lot to consider with the venue being a Covid bride.

We chose to have our wedding and reception here at the Barn at Schwinn Produce Farm. We toured many placed before the Schwinn, and while they may have had what we wanted, nothing seemed to be for us. When we took a tour of the Schwinn Barn we had this gut feeling and we knew this place was perfect. The Barn is huge and magnificent with lights hanging to give that rustic romantic feel as well as the lights on the wall what has antique shovels to keep that barn feel. The back opens to large stone steps that overlook the crops. With the sunset just right past the water it’s amazing for pictures. The ceremony area gave us exactly what we were looking for, openness but shade in the heat from the overhead trees. The ground is Astroturf so it will always have that beautiful green grass. Plus for the ladies that mean no sinking in with our heels! Win! The Bridal suit was great, there was a bathroom and plenty of AC. The barn did not have AC but with both the front and back doors open it gave a great breeze. All the staff there was very helpful in our many questions and helped us figure out everything that we needed to know. They were on site the whole night and assisted in making our day magical. We loved the barn and all that they had to offer and we are so glad that we chose to have our special day there

I'm going to be the one to stick out like a sore thumb in these reviews. For one reason only. The management interrupted our reception to promote their venue and give a 'history' lesson about it. At the end of his speal, he awkwardly said 'thanks for coming out and have a good night' It was awkward and guests were not sure if it was actually over or what. Additionally, they started blowing out candles and clearing tables at about 10pm with a majority of guests still enjoying themselves.The owner did call me and asked what he could do to make it right. I said nothing. We paid thousands of dollars and stayed within the rules to rent your venue for 12 hours.Weddings are a once in a lifetime deal. Dont interput someone elses wedding. RUDE.

Bride and Groom be WARNED!My wife and I were married here a few months ago.I am leaving a 1 star rating for one reason and one reason only. The owner rudely interrupted our ceremony to give his ownership pitch about the barn. They didn't ask if it was ok before hand and as it turns out, they never do. Not only were we interrupted, but at the end of his little speech, he said 'Thank you all for coming out, have a good night', like the evening was over.Also, he started blowing out candles and clearing tables at 10pm. There were still far too many guests at that time to constitute such a thing. They want you winding down at 11 and out by midnight. We had arrangements with family and friends to get the place cleaned up and cleared out. Let us enjoy our evening like grown adults.I did call and talk to the owner about it a few weeks after. He asked what he could do to make it right. Unfortunately, you dont get redos on your wedding night and me asking for a refund wasnt going to fly. So nothing was done about it, other than an apology over the phone.A couple of other things to note. We were told when we rented the venue that chairs would be setup for us morning of. That did not happen, even though they wanted an accurate head count the week before. We also rented the table linens through them. They showed up 3 hours late and forced several uninvolved people to do last minute setup on all of the tables for the reception. Finally, the kitchen is not a 'chefs' kitchen as advertised.The venue looks amazing, so they got that part right. It is very charming and we had a gorgeous wedding. My bride was beautiful and the wedding went off just as planned. For such a once in a lifetime experience, it just blows my mind that a stranger thinks they have a right to interrupt your wedding unannounced, in a venue that you paid over three thousand dollars to use for less than 24 hours..

Schwinn was the first venue we visited and we knew we didn't need to visit anywhere else. Anyone looking for a rustic feel should definitely book this venue. We got married in October and the setting was perfect. Both our families are from out of state and raved about how goregous this place was. Every weekend leading up to my wedding had been cold and rainy, I wasn't sure what to expect but I didn't stress about having an outdoor wedding because plan B would have been inside the barn. I cannot wait to get pictures back.

The Schwinn Barn was THE venue for our June wedding. After looking at a number of outdoor KC options, my fiance and I decided on this venue after he admitted that \"my Pinterest dreams would come to life here.\" And he could not have been more right - it was absolutely perfect. It was the perfect balance of country and charm - the flowers they had on sight were absolutely gorgeous. Our guests couldn't stop talking about what a wonderful and fun time they had and I know so much of that was because we had our wedding at Schwinn. We were blesses with a wonderfully cool summer day and our guests enjoyed playing yard games and drinks while we went on the tractor ride for photos. Dinner and dancing were so much fun in the barn and our 200+ guests were comfortable through the whole event. Jay and the family were a joy to work with and made sure everything went just right!

What initially drew us to the venue was the feeling of family as soon as we arrived. It was like we were meeting with an Uncle to discuss and plan our wedding day. Jay and the family were so accessible and accommodating. Whenever we had any question at all Jay was only a text message away. The venue and drink package pricings are in a league of their own. You won't find anything like what the Schwinn offers! Also, they don't have a lot of the \"requirements\" most venues have. In fact, they take care of most of it for you! Parking lot attendants, bartenders, security, clean-up crew, etc. The additions of the post ceremony tractor ride and bon fire during our reception were nice touches you won't find in the city! All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better setting, but more importantly a better family, to share our big day with! Truly unparalleled hospitality! Thank you for an extremely memorable wedding day!

My wedding and reception was perfect, literally perfect on September 3rd. If you are looking for a barn please check this venue out but be prepared to look 12+ months out as this place is popular. The owners (Jay and Joe Schwinn) are very accommodating and really work with you. They have a gem and we loved starting our life together at this special place. There is a separate outside ceremony space, bridal house for the gals to ready, tables and chairs included and optional addons for fun. There is a bar and you can bring in your own liquor or buy one of their packages. A loft space for the DJ or band. There is a Kitchen is available for your caterer. The sunflower fields were in full bloom and our guests enjoyed taking photos out there. It feels like family going here. My day of coordinator was awesome and I completely credit her for bringing all the details in my head to life. Sarah and Evan are the house staff with several available packages. She had a baby 4 days before my wedding!!! She took care of everything and I mean everything. We meet twice before the date to brainstorm and align all the players. The timeline was spot on alllll day. We were checked on all night and took care of any need, even cut and served cake! Worth.every.penny and then some. I didn't worry about anything - not one thing.

Jay and Joe were great to work with! The scenery is absolutely breathtaking and there are no words to describe the beauty here. We just had our wedding here on 06/10/17. Most of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful place in the country, this is it. The venue is so gorgeous that there isn't a need for a lot of decorations. The bridal house was beautiful and we had plenty of room for me and my 7 bridesmaids. We had on site hair and makeup also and they had plenty of space to work. The bridal house was also a great place to cool off with some air conditioning. There isn't any AC in the barn. It was almost 90 degrees outside on my wedding day, but the big fan in the barn kept the air flowing and it was pretty cool inside of the barn. The \"Meadow\" (ceremony location) was beautiful and the trees provided shade for the guests and kept it from getting too hot and windy. Jay and Joe were so helpful with tearing down tables and chairs. Jay and Joe were ready to step up to the plate during the ceremony and reception in case anything went wrong. We are so glad that we had our wedding here. We absolutely LOVED it!!

The Most amazing people and the most amazing Venue! Everyone went above and beyond to make our day stress free and beautiful!! Sarah was an amazing coordinator, we couldn't of done it without her! we felt so special and apart of the Schwinn Barn Legacy by being able to sign their quilt! I would defiantly choose this place. Thank you Schwinn Farm for all you did and do for future couples! We will see you at all the markets!!!

We cannot express how perfect ( despite the weather) our wedding day was at The Barn. The venue itself is beautiful inside and out. For those brides who are looking for that \"Rustic Elegant\" feel this is the place! It is family owned and you sure feel like you are working with YOUR family. Both of the owners are extremely helpful. Our wedding day was flawless! The loft area was perfect to put our DJ so our guests had more room to dance. The bridal cottage is super cute and had a ton of space for my bridal party and I to get ready and hang out until the ceremony. We truly loved getting married at The Barn at Schwinn Produce Farm and would recommend this venue to anyone!

Schwinn Barn is a fantastic place for a wedding. We got married there in March and couldn't have imagined a more magical day. Jay and his staff are wonderful. We had our wedding here on 4/15/17. The ceremony space and the barn are both beautiful! They also have a bridal house which is perfectly set up to get ready in. The grounds around the barn are great for wedding pictures, too! We mainly worked with Jay and Sarah during the wedding planning process. They were both quick to respond and easy to work with. We are so happy we had our wedding at the barn, everything turned out completely perfect! We would recommend the barn to anyone!!

We had our wedding here on 4/15/17. The ceremony space and the barn are both beautiful! They also have a bridal house which is perfectly set up to get ready in. The grounds around the barn are great for wedding pictures, too! We mainly worked with Jay and Sarah during the wedding planning process. They were both quick to respond and easy to work with. This was the perfect location for our wedding and so beautiful! We loved being able to use the stumps and chairs provided for the outside ceremony and the tables for the inside receptions. The owners were there to help and make sure everything we needed was there for our big day. Thanks so much!

My husband and our family can not say enough kind things about Jay, Joe, Patti, Sarah and their team. We truly felt like we were working with family. We chose the Schwinn not only because it's gorgeous and well priced but because the brothers are so accommodating to the couples wishes. This venue offers the most flexibility of any we could find in KC allowing us to decorate the way we wished, use the caterer we wanted, and bring in our own alcohol. We ended up using their extremely affordable bar package modified for us since we were bringing in our own wine. Their team was super easy going the day of and the brothers stayed until the very end helping get the barn cleaned up. They even let us park a van overnight when we ran out of sober drivers. Jay and Joe, we really felt like you were our family. You went above and beyond for us. Thank you for making our dream wedding come true!

The Barn was such an amazing venue!!! All of our guests were so awed by the beauty of the barn and surrounding grounds. Everyone who works there is so helpful and kind. The barn was so helpful and accommodating. They were flexible and allowed us to bring in anything that we really wanted and helped provide input when needed. They allowed us to come out several times to ask questions, plan and even take pictures. It made for the perfect wedding.

My husband and I had our wedding here on October 17, 2015. Everything about the day was perfect and a big part of that was the Schwinn Produce Farm. Jay and Joe were amazing since we first met them! Not only did Jay answer all my questions and annoying phone calls, we were allowed to come out to the farm as many times as we needed to before our wedding to show family and friends the space and to plan accordingly! On our wedding day, we were allowed into the barn to set up at 8:00 am and we had access to everything we needed. All of our guests couldn't say enough good things about the barn and property-they all loved it and thought it was absolutely beautiful. Jay, Joe, and their family were amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better company to help us put on our wedding!!

The Barn at Schwinn is just breathtakingly stunning, the owners are the absolute best to work with, the scenery for pictures is like being in a beautiful magazine, and the bridal house is perfect for getting ready. Something went wrong with pretty much every other aspect of my wedding- lol but not only was Schwinn perfect in every way, Jay, Patti, and Sarah were over-the-top helpful and accommodating when everything else went wrong. On top of that, the night turned out more beautiful than I could have ever imagined- it truly was like a fairy tale. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!!

We had our wedding here on August 15th 2015. We were lucky enough to take someone's cancelation when we came in October of 2014 to look. I can't say enough wonderful things about Schwinn. The Schwinn brothers are so helpful, and helped our evening run so smoothly! Leading up to the wedding they answered every email and phone call so quickly. They provided me many opportunities to come out and view the barn and check things out. We used their bartender and their drink package for water tea and lemonade. They worked so well with our vendors and reccomended who they had used before at the barn and loved. The new decorator offered so many cute things to make our wedding perfect. This venue is perfect, the grove we got married in was shaded and cool in mid august. The bridal house was nice and cool and was large enough to hold all of my people. It's a great spot to watch your guests arrive through the window. Our men got ready in the barn and they liked all the room. The barn is gorgeous and with the fan going and doors open it stayed cool. So many of our guests said they loved our venue and how beautiful it was. I would use them for any event in the future! Thank you Schwinn!

I literally waited to try to think of all I wanted to put in this review! Not only was the place itself as beautiful as can be, the people there are amazing! The setting is so clean and country cute. Everybody commented on how beautiful the place was! The staff was so helpful and very attentive to our needs throughout the day. They made things personable (not like other places where they are just there for the money.) I cannot even begin to start with how much I thank each employee for their time the place and the staff made for my dream wedding day! Also there is a bridal house on site that made it convenient for getting ready and talk about an easy but awesome entrance for your aisle walk it makes! We had our wedding here July 12, 2015. We booked 7 months earlier in December and were unable to get a Friday or Saturday wedding due to the fact that they were already full, so book early! Let me start with the staff there, Jay is so helpful with every step of the way. He gave us the tour on a snowy day in December and was very honest about every little detail. His brother Joe was just as helpful on the big day. The grounds are breathtaking. The grove that you may choose to hold your ceremony in has astro turf, so even if it rains an hour prior to the wedding, it'll be dry and not mushy under your feet. It's also surrounded by trees, so during the summer there's plenty of shade. The bridal house on the property is perfect to fit your bridesmaids, hair stylists, mothers, etc. It's air conditioned as well which is beneficial for hot summer weddings (like mine)! On to the barn, it's gorgeous inside and out. One downside, it's not air conditioned. However, they make up for this by opening up all the windows and big barn doors to allow for air flow and there are fans provided to help provided additional flow. They will set up cute Italian lights for you for $50. They also have great drink packages for your guests to enjoy as well. We chose to have numerous beers and numerous wines as well as water, tea, lemonade, and soda for I believe $8 a person. They have an on site kitchen for your food vendors to use as well. They provide the tables and chairs for you and all you have to do is set them up, they do the break down as well clean up for you at the end of the night. You get the whole venue from 8 am until midnight, which was more than enough time for our big day. I honestly can not think of a bad thing to say about this venue. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect because of them. If you're looking for that rustic/country/modern-rustic look, this is your place!

Everything about this venue is great. The bridal house was perfect for my girls and I to get ready, the meadow was beautiful, and the barn itself was amazing. I was looking around at different barns in the KC area, and Schwinn was the best barn that I could find to match my style. Other barns either required you to use all of their services, making it super expensive, or were too rustic for my taste, and Schwinn was right in the middle! I received numerous comments about how beautiful the barn was, and I couldn't agree more. The upkeep is marvelous, and the Schwinn brothers make sure that everything is how you want it to be. I got married on November 1st, and there were leaves all over the meadow. Jay offered to clear off the leaves! It's the little things like that, to me, that really put the services they provide at the top. I love everything about this venue and will refer Schwinn to anyone looking to have a rustic or country style wedding!
