The Barn at Timber Creek is a rustic barn wedding venue located in Farmville, Virginia. The site is located west of Richmond, Virginia, and is approximately a 1 hour drive from the city. Guests can stay in a choice of hotels in Downtown Farmville just a 15-minute drive from the venue. The Barn at Timber Creek offers everything you and your significant other need to make your wedding a day to remember. Facilities and Capacity The Barn at Timber Creek offers you a choice of indoor and outdoor ceremony locations. Their lakeside ceremony site features a handmade wooden arbor, and the area is suitable for a large tent. Boasting 4,000 square feet, The Barn can accommodate up to 150 seated guests. The adjacent 1,000-square-foot covered outdoor patio provides room for an additional 50 guests or the perfect location for cocktail hour. With a massive floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and lakeside views, The Barn at Timber Creek is the ideal location to begin your new life. The property features ample guest parking and seven restrooms, one of which is ADA approved. Services Offered The Barn at Timber Creek offers a choice of wedding packages and encourages you to get in contact to discuss which one would be best for your needs. The property offers exclusive use of the venue for the entire day of your wedding and the use of the private bridal suite. Provided in the bridal suite, you will find fruit and cheese platters and non-alcoholic drinks for you and your bridal party. Setup of tables, chairs, and barn props will be taken care of on the day, and couples can make use of their professional-grade sound system. They can also make the venue available for engagement photos. The Barn at Timber Creek welcomes outside vendors and will provide a list of recommended local services.

Ever since I first saw this venue online years ago (before even being engaged) I just knew this was where I wanted to get married. It is absolutely stunning…every bit of it. The coordinator, Ashley, made the entire process a breeze and helped take a lot of the stress away from planning. I could not recommend this place and their staff enough! It was the perfect place to get married!

Being the father of the bride, I had very little say so in the selection of the venue, I had one small piece in the selection and that was to “pay the nice people!”After all said and done, I don’t think that my daughter could have chosen a better place to have her wedding! The Venue is beautiful in itself, and when decorated it is for a storybook! The staff was extremely nice to work with and really played a big part in the success of the wedding. We worked with Ashley (and her trusty partner in crime, Shane) and they were great! The venue is so accommodating, from the grounds to the barn, from the kitchen amenities to the multiple private restrooms. The entire venue is clean and fresh. We just got married at the Barn at Timber Creek two weeks ago and we couldn’t be happier with how everything went! First, the coordinator Ashley was the best to work with – she was easygoing, professional, and extremely helpful from the start, and made us feel very welcome. You couldn’t ask for a nicer person to work with and anyone who has planned a wedding knows you have a LOT of contact with your venue prior to the event. I don't think I could have been as pleased with another venue as I was with The Barn at Timber Creek. Our initial tour was great, and all our questions were answered, even a few we didn't think to ask. Throughout the planning process I was easily able to reach someone for smaller things (like measurements, for example) while planning out other aspects of the wedding. Having use of venue décor was a huge bonus when planning, and it was very easy to pick what we wanted to use from their collection (like Christmas, but for weddings!). As we got closer to the actual date, I had the absolute pleasure of working with Ashley to coordinate everything, and she was a rockstar start to finish. As our venue coordinator she handled so much of the day-of organization that I had absolutely zero stress through the whole process. We went through every little detail for how the day should go, from where people should stand to what food should be on plates for me and my husband so we could get food in us after the ceremony. On top of her incredible attention to detail, Ashley also radiated positivity which was such a blessing. Being able to plan out our timeline with their online tools was great, rules were very clear, and we heard so many compliments about how stunning the venue was, not to mention how helpful everyone was who was Team Venue. We cannot recommend getting married here enough!

I am so grateful we found them. I will never forget the day I drove up the the barn for my first tour. I knew this was where I wanted to get married. Then I met Whitney and the deal was sealed. Everything about this venue is absolute perfection. Whitney, the owner, and Ashley, the coordinator, were everything I could have ever asked for. Every step of the way, they answered questions, made suggestions, and truly made me (and my now husband) feel like family. This team is a well-oiled machine and you can see it in everything they do. Watching the set-up, coordinating our vendors, and picking me up from the bridal suite to take me to the barn. Another great part of this venue is they have a lot decor pieces you may use as part your day. They also are your day-of coordinators. Our wedding day was absolute perfection and stress free thanks to this incredible team. 5 stars just isn’t enough. If I had to do it all again, I would pick this venue and team over and over. Phenomenal!

I wanted this venue for a year prior to even being engaged, and when we went to look, Whitney was so accommodating and kind, as was her staff. This venue is hands down the best venue ever!! Whitney and her ladies were amazing and truly made our special day the best it could have been! They kept us on track, made sure nothing was missed or forgotten, and the barn is simply stunning. The venue is gorgeous and Whitney and every member of her team is absolutely wonderful to work with. They coordinate everything with vendors for day of and they pay attention to every last detail and it takes a lot of the stress off the bride. My (now) husband and I got married outside under the pine trees and it was beautiful. And we had a reception in the barn everything was perfect & gorgeous. You can tell the staff really love what they do, and they work with each bride to make it special for them. My girls and I loved getting ready in the bridal cottage and they think of everything, even light snacks before your big day. I’m truly sad my event is over, because I don’t get to work with this wonderful team anymore. I would 100% recommend them to anybody who is considering this venue for their wedding.

Everything they set up looked great and we loved that they made excellent recommendations for areas where we had no idea what to do. They communicated with us all night and kept things rolling and on time. They were very efficient, and we could not have asked for better group of people to work with. The bridal cottage was beautiful and everything we needed was provided. We also appreciated this venue made so many decorations & food service items available for to use at no additional cost. With two weddings to pay for in 2021, it really helped a lot.Their business model is spot on and should allow them to continue to be successful in the future.

My husband and I are so happy with our choice to get married at The Barn. The venue is beautiful. It has all of the benefits that you could imagine. I was very particular that I wanted a bridal cottage that would be perfect for getting ready photos and with The Barn I was able to get just that. The team is very helpful, responsive, and easy to work with. Our guests were blown away with how beautiful the venue is and how large The Barn is. Numerous guests commented how they loved that they could hang out by the firepit and still hear the music and see everyone dancing inside. I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else.

The Barn at Timber Creek is elegant and naturally beautiful! As we drove up to The Barn I knew there was nowhere else I would rather get married. Whitney and Robert did an amazing job building this for their special day and we are grateful that they continue to share the venue with others. Whitney and her team are amazing. Whitney made the entire process feel like I was working with my best friend and had my best interest at heart to ensure everything was perfect. When I walked in The Barn before guests started to arrive, I was blown away by seeing my vision come to life. We originally planned to have our wedding outside however mother nature had other plans with rain. I was never worried or upset because the inside of The Barn is just as beautiful as the outside. Whitney even ensured we were still able to get the special shots I wanted under the string lights and our sparkler exit. We even had several guests tell us how they love the large windows that let in the natural light and show off the gorgeous trees in the background. From the glamorous bridal cottage to the stone fireplace, I could honestly go on for hours. I LOVE everything about The Barn at Timber Creek!

I honestly cannot say enough good things about The Barn at Timber Creek nor Whitney. The venue is easily accessible and so beautiful during every season-even when it's raining and gloomy! Whitney was beyond great during the whole process. My now husband and I went to visit the venue ourselves first then brought our parents, then came back again ourselves (and again.) I was full of questions the entire planning process and Whitney was always super helpful and responsive. When it came to the day of, she detailed the entire day and coordinated with my vendors which was a huge relief. They helped me set up, ran the rehearsal, and ran around for us all wedding day. They even had a drink ready for us after the ceremony! I would recommend this venue to anyone that's looking for a personalized wedding day, an easy planning process and a beautiful wedding!!

I LOVE this venue. If I could move in I would. Whitney was an absolute blessing to work with! She made everything simple and stress free. Her assistant was a pleasure as well. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. I loved being outdoors for our ceremony, the trees are unreal. The Barn is a work of art. Plenty of bathrooms and space. We didn't even use linens to cover the tables. They're stunning wooden pieces. This venue has everything you need. The new bridal barn was absolutely perfect! I could not brag enough about this place.

Everything about this venue is AMAZING. Hands down. I could not say more about the beautiful location, there are several options for ceremony sites, and the beautiful bridal cottage. Whitney and her husband (barn owners) are like family now. They went above and beyond to make sure everything for our day went perfectly and they are so professional. She was with us every step of the way whenever we had questions or asking for suggestions. I could not say enough praises.

Everything about this venue is AMAZING. Hands down. I could not say more about the beautiful location, there are several options for ceremony sites, and the beautiful bridal cottage. You know that song, Speechless, by Dan and Shay? Well, just pretend it's talking about Whitney, Robert, their staff, and the barn at timber creek. I have no words to describe what a perfect day we had. The venue is so versatile - it can host any type of wedding you could dream of (e.g. rustic, elegant, traditional). It has more than enough amenities and several options for ceremony locations. The best part is when you walk into the barn for the first time during the tour and it takes your breath away! This family bends over backwards to ensure that every detail of your day is flawless. I'm tearing up writing this while reminiscing on all the things. I'm just so, so happy. Oops, ok now I'm just legit crying. Whitney, you'll never understand what a profound impact you've had on my family. So much love, respect, and appreciation for you and your staff. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Love, The Kellam's.

This venue was the BEST decision I could've made in the wedding planning process. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my wedding day was picture perfect. Whitney sat with me on multiple occasions to hash out the fine details, answered any and all questions through texts/phone calls, and did whatever she could to give me what I asked for. The day of the wedding was STRESS FREE and executed far better than I could have ever imagined. Whitney, her husband and her staff were there from the moment I arrived on Friday, until I left on Sunday. They sat up everything and the personal details that went outside were exactly as I asked the day of. Even during the wedding, they checked on my husband and I throughout the night, making sure we were happy and didn't need anything. To put simply, this is the BEST venue, with the most AMAZING staff, and will give you a wedding far better than your wildest dreams!!!! P.S. The bridal suite is new and fantastic! And the string lights at night time.....speechless

This was a wonderful experience! We couldn’t have asked for a better venue and wedding planner. Whitney was absolutely amazing and truly helped a lot with the stress of planning. This was an out of state wedding for us so it made planning a little more difficult but Whitney helped so much. The barn itself is stunning, truly didn’t need much of decorations because it has so much natural beauty. We loved the option of an outdoor section for a fire pit and cornhole.

Whitney at the Barn made everything so simple and such a breeze. I was really nervous because I hadn't even been to a wedding since I was a kid, let alone planned one! It was so obvious how much she truly cared about making our day perfect and seamless. She was prompt in answering my texts and emails, gave great recommendations, and made me feel totally at ease during the rehearsal and the day of. The Barn itself is absolutely stunning with so many different areas to take unique pictures. I never once had doubts about choosing the Barn.

The Barn is an absolutely breathtaking venue. The owners are so genuine and thoughtful and as a bride I truly had an amazing wedding day. The views are spectacular from any angle and we are still hearing from our guests how much they enjoyed the bonfire and the rocking chairs on the porch. Everyone agreed that the venue fit us as a couple perfectly. Having so many decorations already helped our wedding budget tremendously and Whitney kept in touch throughout the planning process and aways offered to help in anyway she could. I hope I get to come back to the Barn soon for another wedding and experience the other side of wedding festivities there!

We planned our wedding in about 2 months this past winter. Yes, it is possible. When your heart is in it, anything is possible. As a designer, I had a specific vision for our wedding. I searched for countless barn venues in Virginia, looking for a place that had the right back drop and atmosphere that I knew I could build upon for our special January ceremony and reception. I searched for tasteful aesthetics, functionality, a rural location, a reasonable price and genuine people to work with... and did I mention I'm extremely picky! Whitney, her family and recommended vendors were so accommodating. With a limited amount of time, they were very flexible and worked with me to see my vision for our wedding come to life. I highly recommend visiting the barn and hope you fall in love with the set back location of the farm, aromatic smell of cedar wood, cathedral ceiling and abundance of natural light inside the barn. Its a peaceful and heavenly spot to confess your love and gather with those who are dear.

The Barn at Timbercreek is such a stunning venue. It is quaint, rustic and elegant all in one. I was fortunate enough to have my wedding there this past October. My ceremony was held outside overlooking the pond and my reception was in the barn. Whitney is amazing to work with and thanks to other brides, like myself, she has a lot of decorations there to work with. Although due to the landscape and craftsmanship of the barn, you won't need much. Once you view the place you'll be hooked. It will always hold a special place in my heart not only because I married my best friend there but, I also gained a friend in Whitney and Robert.
