The Seclusion is an elegant mountain wedding venue situated on 72 private acres in Lexington, VA. Surrounded by the gorgeous Shenandoah Valley, this venue boasts a serene, chic, and unforgettable location for your special day. Owners Trish and Brian wanted to build a place half-hidden from the world, nestled among the natural landscape, and The Seclusion definitely fits that description. This luxurious mountain escape offers breathtaking views of the valley and a fairy-tale barn venue. Crystal chandeliers hang above hardwood floors, embraced by oaken shiplap timbers and lit by the glow of a wide stone fireplace. Seating up to 200 of your nearest and dearest, your guests will be overcome by the natural beauty of this venue and its seamless integration into the Shenandoah. This couple goes above and beyond to ensure that your wedding is the event of your dreams. From the ceremony to your cocktail hour and the reception, they can provide the tables, chairs, flatware, and stemware to fully integrate your vision into the venue. A 200-year-old bartop brings your loved ones back in time with their modern-chic take on an old tavern. Meanwhile, the sumptuous Loft and relaxing Quarters provide areas for you and your spouse-to-be to prepare before the big event. Each room is equipped with modern conveniences and comfortable furniture, while everywhere you look, the timeless rolling hills of the valley take your breath away. Outside, guests can stretch their legs, play a game of cornhole or horseshoes, and settle into the Adirondack chairs around the firepits. My husband and I got married at The Seclusion and we truly do not know where to begin in writing this review. This venue is a DREAM. I cannot say enough positive things about the venue and its owners. The attention to detail was incredible. Everywhere you looked you were blown away, whether it be the reception hall, the ceremony site, the bridal loft, grooms quarters.....everything was BEAUTIFUL. The venue is so beautiful that we didn't have to spend money on decorations, it's already perfect. I truly wish every couple could get married here. Trish and Brian are also the most humble and caring owners. When we first saw the venue it was under construction. Throughout the construction process they kept us in the loop as to what work was being done and kept our minds at ease that the venue would be perfect by the time our wedding day arrived, and it most certainly was. I also have to add that they are beyond generous. We were on a tight budget and to save money we were going to use disposable plates. The owners ended up buying plates that we were able to use!! This action simply blew us away. You will not regret having your wedding here and it is worth every penny!

They were amazing to work with and an absolutely perfect venue. We had some nasty weather on our wedding day but the inside area was stunning and we didn’t even mind having to move inside! Nothing but rave reviews from us!

Our wedding at the Seclusion was perfect. It was truly the best day of our lives. Our guests had a wonderful time and constantly comment on how beautiful the venue was. We also had a wonderful experience working with all of the staff at the seclusion on our wedding day. Can't recommend enough!

My husband and I got married at The Seclusion in June and truly could not have imagined getting married anywhere else. We looked at over ten venues before we found The Seclusion and immediately knew it was the one when we stepped foot on the property. Trish and Brian have created a venue that has it all and is nothing short of amazing. Two months later and our guests are still talking about how breath taking The Seclusion is. Trish and Brian are personable, responsive, and made the process feel like more then just a transaction. They care about the property and the couples choosing to get married there!

I found The Seclusion while scrolling through social media and immediately placed it at the top of our list of venues to visit. Brian was great from our very first visit, and I knew that The Seclusion would be the venue to beat. Brian and Trish allowed us to come for a secondary visit when my husband got back from deployment and he loved the privacy and exclusivity of the venue. We were so lucky to get a date in 2022 like we had been hoping for. The venue was as beautiful on our wedding day (despite a hurricane) as it was the first time we saw it. I could rave about The Seclusion, the owners, and the people that keep it running, all day! The venue itself is breathtaking. Every detail was thought out so well and you cannot beat the views. Pictures just don't do this place justice. I, also, have to say this venue is so much more than just a venue. The owners and everyone that is there make it feel like home. They are all such welcoming and genuine people and we are so grateful that we found them. I could not recommend this place more.

Words simply cannot express my love for this wedding venue. It has always been a dream to get married here and it was absolutely surreal to have that dream come true. It was everything I had ever dreamed about and so so SO much more. First, the grounds are absolutely spectacular. You simply cannot imagine a more perfectly romantic and breathtaking wedding venue. From the gorgeous mountain views to the incredibly designed and decorated Grand Hall, every inch of the property is perfect. Secondly, the staff were absolutely amazing. Everyone is incredibly kind and helpful, extremely supportive and professional on the big day and throughout every moment leading up to it. The owners Brian and Trish are truly incredible, easily two of the most amazingly thoughtful and down to Earth people on the planet. Last but not least, everyone had an amazing time. The guests raved about the space for its stunning views, romantic and quiet atmosphere for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and vast space for people to mingle and dance during the reception! I could go on about the space and the people who make this place so special, but their reputation and number of happy couples speaks volumes! If you choose The Seclusion for your big day you will not be disappointed.

Just had our wedding at The Seclusion this past Saturday, May 21st, and it was the most magical wedding we could’ve ever dreamt of. When we first visited the venue in November 2020, we fell in love immediately and knew this was going to be where we’d celebrate our marriage along with our closest family and friends. Trish and Brian were a dream to work with and so accommodating to my now husband and I. Our guests have not stopped raving about how amazing the venue and wedding went and we are so grateful to have been able to hold our most important day at The Seclusion!

My wedding day has been something i’ve dreamed of forever. I’ve been planning it since I was a little girl and couldn’t wait till I could finally put all my big plans and thoughts together. I moved to Virginia in 2020 and found a place called The Seclusion; The picture perfect wedding venue of my dreams. I met my fiancé shortly after moving here and on our first date I told him “I had to get married at this place called the seclusion.” Little did I know it was just a hop skip and jump around the corner from him! Here we are a little over a year later and we have officially booked our wedding at the seclusion for 2023. Brian was nothing but kind, generous and personable during our search. We are extremely excited to be able to share this beautiful place with our friends and family on one of the best days of our lives.

I do not even know where to begin. The Seclusion is the most beautiful venue I have ever been to. When my daughter was looking for venues she actually had tears in her eyes when she visited The Seclusion. We knew at that moment this was the venue for the wedding of her dreams. The owners, Brian and Trish have not left one stone unturned. From the GORGEOUS reception hall, to the bridal suite and grooms quarters this venue has it all. Not to mention the most breathtaking panoramic views for your ceremony. During the planning process, Brian and Trish were so easy to work with and so accommodating which made this venue all the more desirable. I do not even know where to begin. The Seclusion is the most beautiful venue I have ever been to. When my daughter was looking for venues she actually had tears in her eyes when she visited The Seclusion. We knew at that moment this was the venue for the wedding of her dreams. The owners, Brian and Trish have not left one stone unturned. From the GORGEOUS reception hall, to the bridal suite and grooms quarters this venue has it all. Not to mention the most breathtaking panoramic views for your ceremony. I’ll be honest we didn’t pick this as our venue because we were getting married in this area from hours out of town and all of our guests were traveling. BUT Trish and Brain were both SOOO fantastic and this VENUE is BEAUTIFUL their hospitality is amazing and they made us feel right at home. It’s name holds true to the location but hands down beautiful venue with tons of amazing details! I would 100% recommend them to anyone! They have some beautiful plans to add on to something already beautiful! The pictures don’t do it justice go check it out!!

The beautiful grand entrance opens to a welcoming foyer that leads into the grand ballroom and a veranda with stunning views. We were lucky enough to work at this special place for our nieces wedding and it will forever be dear in our hearts. Trish and Brian are wonderful, gracious hosts who are genuinely interested and invested in the success of your day. If you are considering this as a possible venue for your event.... look no further, The Seclusion has everything you need for a luxury event with many in-house options to customize your special day. My husband I got married at The Seclusion on November 14, 2020 - the views, the venue, the owners, everything about this extremely special place was beyond my wildest dreams for a wedding. I got engaged in July 2019 and knew The Seclusion would be the place we'd get married.The owners of The Seclusion, Trish & Daniel, are the nicest people you will ever meet. Not only did they take facetime calls from my husband and I to explore the grounds - since we live in Brooklyn, New York - they answered every question we had and offered great advice for possible vendors to use.Once we booked the venue for our wedding day (November 14, 2020) we scheduled our engagement pictures for November 2019 - this would be our first time visiting the venue in person. We were BLOWN AWAY once we got to the venue - it was absolutely breathtaking - the views, the details of the venue, and meeting Trish & Daniel in person were great. They allowed us to get ready in the bridal suite for engagement pictures and we were able to freely use the grounds. Walking through the venue you saw details that were so personal to Daniel & Trish, which made it very special. Everything was created with such intention and thought that you really felt the hard work and love that went into making this venue.Getting married during a pandemic was definitely not ideal, but Trish & Daniel kept us up to date on all guidelines VA and Rockbridge County put in place as well as the measures they are taking to make their guests feel safe and happy.Even during the pandemic Trish & Daniel continued bettering their venue. After each wedding or event they took feedback and made immediate changes - an example of this being the amazing sound system that was used for outdoor ceremonies and the flagstone walkway (aisle) - which were added bonuses we did not have when signing the contract. Because we had large floral arrangements - The Seclusion allowed us the time needed to set these things up as well as being super inviting and receptive to all vendors we picked. The day of the wedding all we kept hearing was 'how did you find this place?' 'This is the most amazing venue i've ever been to.' Our guests were finally able to experience the Seclusion.The bridal suite was so incredibly beautiful and cozy for a day of getting ready. Because of all of the windows it was perfect lighting for makeup & hair artists we had hired for the day of. The groomsmen quarters were wonderful for the guys - they had a fire pit, cornhole, guitar, & tv to watch all the college football & golf they wanted. What was probably the best part for us, because of the pandemic, was the incredible outdoor space our guests were able to use to remain properly socially distant while still enjoying the ambiance of the wedding. The outdoor fire pits were a huge hit - we even had s'mores that added to the experience. My husband was adamant about having a cigar & bourbon bar - guests were able to stay warm by the fire, sip bourbon, and enjoy a cigar with the beautiful nighttime sounds of a mountaintop. The Seclusion is a magical place that will not only have you in awe but also make it an unforgettable event for your guests.

Because we had large floral arrangements - The Seclusion allowed us the time needed to set these things up as well as being super inviting and receptive to all vendors we picked. The day of the wedding all we kept hearing was 'how did you find this place?' 'This is the most amazing venue i've ever been to.' Our guests were finally able to experience the Seclusion.The bridal suite was so incredibly beautiful and cozy for a day of getting ready. Because of all of the windows it was perfect lighting for makeup & hair artists we had hired for the day of. The groomsmen quarters were wonderful for the guys - they had a fire pit, cornhole, guitar, & tv to watch all the college football & golf they wanted. What was probably the best part for us, because of the pandemic, was the incredible outdoor space our guests were able to use to remain properly socially distant while still enjoying the ambiance of the wedding. The outdoor fire pits were a huge hit - we even had s'mores that added to the experience. My husband was adamant about having a cigar & bourbon bar - guests were able to stay warm by the fire, sip bourbon, and enjoy a cigar with the beautiful nighttime sounds of a mountaintop. The Seclusion is a magical place that will not only have you in awe but also make it an unforgettable event for your guests.

The venue offers a secluded \"destination\" feel in a small town area. The included rentals and amenities are unparalleled to other venues we have searched for along the entire east coast. My fiancé and I recently toured this venue and words cannot express how much love we have for this spot. Not only were we welcomed with breathtaking views, but the immediate love we were welcomed with from Brian + Trish made us feel like we were right at home. From the accommodations to the stunning detail of every inch of this building, we didn't want to waste another minute not calling this venue ours. We had other tours lined up and we knew that absolutely nothing could top how full our hearts were just from this visit....and so we booked it! And I cannot wait to make our dream a reality!

This venue is absolutely incredible. We first visited almost a year before our wedding when the venue was still being built. At the time, it wasn't much more than a structure, but Trish and Brian (the owners) walked us through where everything would be and how it would look. Everything turned out exactly as they explained. The venue is everything that we had hoped it would be and more. I cannot tell you how many people told us how amazing they thought the venue was and how many people went on describing all of their favorite details. Aside from the beauty of the venue, not enough can be said about the breathtaking view of House Mountain. The views make for an incredible backdrop if you decide to have your ceremony at the venue (highly recommended!). On top of all of that, we cannot say enough about how incredible Trish and Brian are. They are fun, thoughtful, and incredible to work with. They helped make the entire process painless from start to finish. We cannot recommend the Seclusion enough. Truly a perfect place to be married.

My Daughter was married at the seclusion about 2 weeks ago. I cannot count how many phone calls I have received from our guests who were absolutely floored by the beauty of this venue! We booked this spot when it was being built. To say that we were impressed with the final result is such an understatement. The area is just beautiful and the design and presentation of the venue takes it to another level altogether. The drive up the mountain is just the first gorgeous surprise. The owners have built and decorated incredible accommodations for the groomsmen. Not a single detail has been overlooked. Everything the groomsmen would need to prepare for the day is at their fingertips. The furnishings alone; leather sofas, genuine cowhide rugs, are simply gorgeous.As beautiful as the groomsmen's cottage is, it pales in comparison to the bridal loft. Picture an elegant off-white beautifully furnished area where no detail has been spared. There is a spa like shower, built in beauty bar for hair and makeup professionals, elegant furnishings and a breathtaking overlook into the reception venue below. We sipped mimosas and listened to beautiful music on the Bose stereo system. The loft has ample windows with a breathtaking view of the mountains. It is stunning!The guests had the time of their lives! The inside is beautifully decorated with chandeliers, long elegant tables, leather sofas for conversation areas tucked into alcoves and a fireplace that is just stunning. The decor extends outside and has gorgeous furniture across an expansive porch with views of the mountains. There are stone fire pits and outside seating where our guests relaxed, roasted marshmallows, smoked cigars, etc. This is place is one that has to be seen to be appreciated. I can only say that no detail was overlooked in designing the space.I met the owners on multiple occasions and they were both kind and incredibly helpful in working with us to bring everything together. After working with them, it was clear they were very talented and skilled in making this venue a reality. Their laid back manner made us feel so at ease throughout the entire process.My guests were so impressed by the venue that I actually introduced the owners at the reception.This is a 5 star venue! We looked at over 30 venues and none can begin to compare to this one. Absolutely stunning! When looking for a wedding venue or other event, don't miss this one! The Seclusion is as good as it gets!

My fiancé and I just booked The Seclusion for our March 2020 wedding! We toured the barn in March and were absolutely blown away. We came back in April with my parents and sealed the deal. The chic barn, breathtaking views, and gracious owners made our decision easy. I mean it when I say, I don't think there is a more beautiful venue out there. Trish has been a joy to work with! You can tell she poured her heart into the venue. Every detail has so much thought behind it (from the chandeliers, to the bar, to the mirrors, to the gorgeous bridal loft). Not only does she care about the venue, she also cares about the couples using it! I love that she’s interested in the details of every single wedding. Trish went above and beyond when we asked for recommendations for caterers, hotels, wedding planners, florists, etc. She has made our initial wedding planning seamless and fun. We CANNOT wait for our special day and to follow the success of this new venue in the coming months!

We will be getting married here in September 2020. The venue is absolutely breathtaking. You can't escape the mountains here and the venue is rightfully named. It's the perfect spot for a joyful celebration such as a wedding and we can't wait for our family and friends to see it as well. The bridal loft overlooks the grand hall, there are multiple seating areas for guests to mingle (as we all know, weddings bring people together that may not have seen each other in a long time!), and even large fire pits outside! Both owners are also so, so helpful and accommodating. They are building this venue for their daughter to be married at, which is so sweet on its own and we are very happy that they decided to do so!
