Combining history and modernity, The Wool Factory in Charlottesville, VA, is a unique wedding venue destination. Located at The Historic Woolen Mills, the site has a fascinating and storied past. Couples can become a part of that history when booking their wedding at this restored textile mill. Originally constructed in 1868, the building was once Charlotteville's most famous mill complex. The location features architecture from many different eras, from Gothic Revival to design from the 1920s and 1930s. The industrial aesthetic of The Wool Factory provides a perfect backdrop for any event, with multiple options available for ceremonies and receptions. An outdoor ceremony site, with picturesque views of the creek, is an idyllic setting for couples who want to be amongst nature. Their Main Hall can host up to 360 guests for a grander affair. Brick walls, oversized windows, and concrete flooring can be found in the space, giving it a moody vibe. For a more intimate gathering, the Broadcloth Dining Room and Bar might work, still exuding the same energy of the venue at large in a smaller area. The Courtyard can be covered with a tent or left open and lit up by fairy lights, making it an excellent choice for any weather.
